I walk home from school with Prim and we talk about our first day. "Hey weren't you wearing a different dress this morning?" she asks me pointing to my borrowed dress. "Oh yeah this is Madge's dress I got into a fight at school with girls and I may have ruined a dress," I tell her. We walk past the Bakery and I smell my favorite food. Cheese Buns. I walk into the store with Prim and spend some money on her and I. "Hi I think we know what we want." I tell the boy behind the counter. "Alright what can I get...." he says but stops when he sees me. He and I  just stare at each other and then Prim breaks the silence by saying,"I would like the cupcake with the rose on it and the one with blue frosting." "Okay, here you go." He says as he hands my sister her treats. "And I'll have 3 cheese buns," I tell him. He gets those for me and smiles. I smile back and we leave the shop and eat our treats on the way home. "So did you have a good day?" I ask as I take a bite of my cheese bun. "Well, nothing out of the ordinary but I made new friends and hung out with Rue all day, by the way, we have almost every class together," she says with excitement. "Well, that is cool. I only got roadkilled in the lunch room and hung out with my boyfriend." I tell her. "You mean Peeta?" she asks me. "Who?" I ask. "Peeta he is the guy that gave us the sweets," she explains to me. Oh so that is what his name is, I think. "No my boyfriend is Gale," I say getting upset and my face is getting read. "Okay sorry I was just kidding," she tells me and smirks then we walk home in silence.

        I hit my alarm when it sounds and turn over and snuggle in my covers. After about 15 minutes I get up and get ready. Today I curl my hair and put on some black leggings and a sweatshirt with some boots and a necklace and bracelets of gold.I put on minimum makeup and grab my blue and black heels with a bow. I have my first day of drama so I want to make an appearance and impress Peeta is? I see my mother this morning and go down the stairs and hug her. "Good morning Katniss." She says to me with a smile. "Hi, mom," I say. "You not working at the hospital today?" I ask as I sit in our breakfast nook. "No, I don't have to until later," she says handing me a plate with eggs and sausage with a smoothie. I see Prim come downstairs in a light blue dress and a matching purse with white boots. "You look cute." my mom says and sets her a place. "Thanks," she says. Prim and I eat and then head off to school. Today instead of walking my mother gives us a ride and then heads off to work. 

        I walk down the halls with our group and talk to Madge and say I'll return the dress later. We stop in the cafeteria to talk until the bell rings. "This year I am going to take hand to hand combat with my trident," Finnick tells us. "You should try it to kitty kat, you know with your archery and all." Finnick gave me when we were younger and calls me it since. I roll my eyes at him and say,"It might ruin my rep. Fin" I tell him. "I don't know brainless, maybe it might make your "rep." better," she tells me. I simply shrug and go to class and I find Peeta is my neighbor and I walk to sit next to him. I hear Glimmer and Clove whisper and giggle,"Ohhhh Katniss and Peeta such a cute couple." I ignore them and take a seat. "Hey, katniss," "Hey Peeta." Then class begins.
