Prologue: Corruption that Split a Family

Liz: This is Ray's story, which I personally recommend is not for those with a fear of spiders.

Ray: *evil laugh*

Liz: *scoots away*

Ray: I'm just joking~. *smiles innocently*

Liz: Um...let's just start the story.

A Thousand Years in the Past

A young girl couldn't believe what was happening; her brother, her own flesh-in blood, was banishing her from the kingdom she had grown-up in. He was telling her that it was because she had become corrupt. Corrupt? Her? Now that was just ridiculous. I mean, what kind of 15 year old would be like that? Certainly not her.

As the girl with black hair and dull- gold eyes stood outside her once home, her brother gave her a bag of the little possesions she could take with her to exile. "Brother, why are you doing this?" She questioned with rage seeping from her being. "What did I do wrong?!"

Her brother didn't reply. It wasn't because he was mad or anything. In fact, he was grief-struck. The 18-year old ruler of the hidden kingdom didn't think that he would ever have to banish his own little sister away from her home. But he knew that she could no longer stay. She had become corrupt and could've been a danger to the innocent citizens. "Sylvia, you have to understand that I don't want to do this," Her brother explained as he got down on his knee to look at her in the eyes. "I have to protect our home though, like I promised Mother and Father I would do."

"But you also promised to protect me as well Fredrick!" Sylvia shouted in rage.

"And I am," Fredrick replied calmly. "I'm sending you into exile so you can reflect on your actions. I'm doing this to protect you from the dangers you could pose on yourself and others."

Sylvia could only stare at her brother with hatred. After everything they had been through he was throwing her away like she was garbage. That's when a carriage came. Fredrick opened the door and placed Sylvia's luggage inside.

"It's time to go sister."

".....No."

"Sylvia, don't make this any more difficult than this already is."

"I'll make this as difficult as I want to Fredrick!" Tears ran down the young princess' cheeks. This was just...ridiculous! She was not about to live in exile.

Fredrick sighed. He really, really didn't want to do this, but he had no choice; "Guards."

With swift movement, the guards came and hoisted the little princess into the carriage. The whole time she was kicking and screaming, commanding them to release her at once. However, the guards had their orders from the prince himself and knew that they had to follow through with his commands.

After Sylvia was inside the carriage, the guards sealed the door with a magic seal that prevented her from trying to escape. Sylvia growled as her fate seemed sealed. She was going to exile whether she liked it or not. "I hate you Fredrick! I hate you!" She shouted as the carriage pulled away.

The 18-year old with chestnut brown hair and amber-gold eyes, turned his back to his sister, not because he was ignoring her but because he had to hide the fact that he was crying. This was the biggest descion he had ever had to make and he felt that his heart was ripping out of his chest with each screech his sister let out, saying she hated him. That hurt more than a sword to the heart ever could. He almost turned around to run after the carriage to stop it from leaving the kingdom's realm. He wanted to open the door, grab his little sister in a hug, and tell her he was sorry and that he had made a mistake. But he knew he couldn't do that; he thought that this was the best option for his kingdom and his sister.

1,000 years Later

After a millenium, not much had changed in the kingdom hidden away from the human world. Fredrick still looked to be an 18 year-old and most of his citizens were the same as well. His people were a strange race indeed, aging rather slowly and having strange "abilities". They didn't age and they all had a magic ability of some sort.

As he sat on his throne, Fredrick glanced up at the old painting that hung above his head. It was of his Father, Mother, himself, and his little sister after Sylvia had been born. He sighed as he relished in those found memories. They were warm and consisted of a lot of things that Fredrick wished were true today.

Everything changed after the deaths of the king and queen. They had both contradicted a horrible illness that no doctor could cure and died when Fredrick was 17 and his sister was 14. Fredrick had to ascend to the throne and take on the duties of his parents.

As if overnight, Sylvia's behavior changed. She was caught doing forbidden magic and started getting in a lot of trouble.

Where did it all go wrong? He thought as he rubbed his temples. Why didn't I see the signs sooner?

As he sat there thinking, meanwhile, his sister had escaped exile after a millennium of what she considered to be torment. Now she had perfected her magic and was ready to take revenge. "Now then," the 18-year old looking girl said. "Where should I go? I have to figure out where to set up my base."

After much thought, Sylvia figured out where she was going to go; Paris. Why? Because she wanted to that's why.
