Chapter 2: Sylvia's Plan and Fredrick's Arrival

Sylvia smirked as she looked at all the nations she had trapped in web. Her plan was going along without a hitch.

"Syrvia-san, why are you doing this?" Japan questioned from his sideways position in the web.

"It's simple really," Sylvia replied. "I need a hideaway. My brother is after me and I need a place to lay low."

"Then why are you holding us captive?" Italy nervously asked.

"That's also simple my little Italian friend; I'm going to use most of you for nutrients."

"Y-Y-You mean you're going to eat us?" Italy stuttered.

Sylvia smirked. "Most of you yes. You see, you are all special. You have the capability to live for many years and not age. I wish to aquire that."

All the nations gulped nervously. They weren't particularly fond of being eaten.

"I'll especially enjoy your fat friend over there." Sylvia pointed over to America.

"What did you call me?!" America shouted. "I'm not fat!"

"Oh yes you are, fatty!" Sylvia retorted.

"No I'm not!"

"Yes you are!"

"No I'm not!"

"Yes you are!"

The two argued like this back and forth for a few moments while the other nations watched. They were both acting like children.

"Enough of this!" Sylvia finally shouted. "I'm going to eat you anyway so there's no point in arguing when your fate is sealed fatso." America growled and was going to say more when Britain shook his head, telling him to not argue with her anymore. "But, luckily, one of you won't have to experience that fate."

"And why is that?" Russia requested to know.

"Because I plan to use one of you as my servant for all eternity."

The nations all gasped. Being eaten was a bad enough concept to grasp but being a slave for eternity was a whole other story. Besides, none of them would betray their fellow nations, right?

"If you'd think ve'd betray our own allies, you're sorely mistaken!" Germany shouted at Sylvia, gaining her attention. "None of us vould betray our comrades!"

Sylvia glanced at the German and then made her way over to him. She grabbed him by his chin and forced him to look at her. "Is that so?"

She stared into Germany's eyes and Germany tried to look away but found that his body was not complying with what his mind was saying. V-Vhat's vrong vith me? He thought. Vhy can't I move my body? Vhy can't I look avay?

That's when he heard Sylvia's giggle from inside his head. There's nothing wrong with you~. She giggled. You're going to be fine. Just stop fighting it.

Germany struggled for a few more moments before his eyes lost their pupils and all that was there was the blue color. His body also slumped into the webbing, as if he were relaxing into the fabric.

"Germany?" Italy asked after a moment of utter silence.

Germany did not reply.

"Germany?" Italy tried again.

Yet again, nothing.

"Germany!" Japan yelled, trying to get his german friend's attention.

"He can't hear you," Sylvia stated. "He's under my control now." The webs that were bonding Germany lowered to the ground and Sylvia went to the floor as well. Germany kneeled down in front of Sylvia, like a knight kneels in front of his King. "Very good Ludwig. Now go out and get rid of the capitals."

"Yes my lady," Germany replied in a robotic-like reply.

"Germany, don't do it man!" America shouted.

"Why bother? He can't hear you. He obeys only me."

********************

Amelia sat on the log that was right next to the fire. It was late at night, maybe early in the morning, she wasn't sure. All Amelia knew was that she couldn't sleep.

Tonight had been a total disaster in her opinion. She didn't want anyone to know of her fear because she knew that her friends were going to taunt her about, which they did for a little bit, but it was all in good joking of course. Still, Amelia felt really embarrassed.

After everyone had gone to bed, Amelia stayed up staring at the top of the tent she shared with Allison. She couldn't sleep. All the events of the night played in her head and she just stared at the top for what seemed like hours before she finally decided to get up and sit near the fire.

This night was a disaster, Amelia thought as she watched the crackling fire. Everyone knows my secret now.

Suddenly, Amelia heard rustling in the bushes. She grabbed the nearest weapon she could, which was a stick, and prepared for a confrontation. "Who's there?" Amelia called out. "Come out now!"

The person in the bushes didn't move for a moment but then came out of the bushes to reveal himself; he looked to be a year or two older than Amelia and had amber-golden eyes and brown hair. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you," he apologized. "I was just...passing through."

"Oh," Amelia lowered the stick after sensing nothing dangerous about the young man. "I'm Amelia."

"Fredrick." Fredrick took Amelia's left hand and gave a quick kiss, remembering his gentlemanly manners he had practiced for years. This gestured surprised Amelia a bit because she had only had a few times when she had been kissed on the hand and that was when she was usually at one of her Father's formal parties.

The young man then looked over to see the campsite. "You're here with some friends?" He asked.

Amelia rolled her eyes. "I guess you could call them friends but I don't know if I see them as that anymore."

Fredrick raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Why do you say that?"

The British girl sighed. "My friends found out that I'm afraid of spiders." Amelia felt her face flush red as she told this boy, who she had just met, her fear. This was his reply:

"You don't like spiders either? Oh thank goodness! I thought I was the only one."

Amelia looked at the young man and blinked at him. He didn't seem like the type of person who would be afraid of spiders. Yet he just admitted that he feared the little creatures like she did. A total stranger had told her his fear. "You don't like spiders?"

"Not particulary."

"Wow.....Um, what are you doing here Fredrick? It's just a little odd for a young man like yourself to be wandering the woods at night."

Just then, Amelia heard a zipper unzip at a tent entrance. She and Fredrick looked to see who it was and found that it was Tye coming out to get a drink. However, when he saw Amelia standing next to Fredrick he got infuriated. "Who the crapola is this?!"

Somebody's jealous~. But that's not that big a deal right now...or is it? Anyway, Germany is under Sylvia's control! Can the capitals possibly stand their own against Sylvia when Germany is her mindless puppet? Find out next time!
