Natie and Viktor
Little Natie trudged through the snow towards her home. She was excited to see her Otets. She wanted to tell him about how her day went and how she learned about animals. "I cannot wait to get home," she said to herself.
Natie soon saw her home and ran towards it, hearing the snow crunch underneathe her feet as she did so.
"Privyet," Natie greeted when she walked through the door. She expected to see either her Father or her Aunt Ukraine at the door waiting for her but she saw no one. "Otets? Tetya Ukraine?...Tetya Belarus?" As she walked around, Natie heard noise from the kitchen. She walked towards the kitchen and found her Father and Aunt Ukraine in there. Her Father was cleaning his magic metal pipe of pain and her Aunt was drinking a bottle of Vodka that was in the fridge. "Privyet Otets, Privyet Tetya Ukraine."
"Privyet sunflower," Russia stated, not looking up from polishing.
"What he said," Ukraine said, not even bothering to look at Natie.
Still, Natie smiled and sat in the stool that was next to Russia. "Otets guess what?"
"What is it?" Russia asked, still not making eye contact with Natie.
"I learned about many types of animals. I especially liked the big grizzly bear because it sometimes is very sweet and cuddly." She then hugged Russia around the waist, which seemed to surprise the large Russian. "It reminded me of you Otets."
Russia patted her head. "I see little sunflower," Russia told the small child, who could only giggle. Natie looked into Russia's eyes were crimson red instead of violet like they usually were.
"Otets, why do your eyes look different?" Natie asked.
"It's not important sunflower," he told her. "They just are different right now."
Natie smiled, believing the explanation she was given. "Okay Otets."
"Is that my little Natie I hear~?" A sweet voice asked.
Natie looked up and saw her Aunt Belarus walk into the kitchen, wearing a pink outfit. However, there was something different about her; maybe it was the fact that she was smiling! Now I don't mean her usual maniacal smile she gets whenever she tries to get Russia to "marry her" either. No, Belarus had on a genuine smile that sent some shivers down Natie's back.
"Teyta Belarus?" Natie questioned. "Are you feeling okay?"
Belarus let out a giggle that could only be classified as childish. "Yes sweetie," she replied. "I'm fine. In fact, I'm very happy to see you."
Natie began to shake a little. Her Aunt was being nice...too nice. What was going on? "Y-Y-You are?"
Belarus nodded before going to take Natie out of Russia's lap. She then squeezed her into a tight hug, causing the young child to go blue in the face. "You're just so cute~,"
"Can't breathe...Need, oxygen!"
After what seemed like forever, Russia swooped in and freed Natie from Belarus' grip. The young girl gasped for air as Russia placed her on the counter. "Are you okay?" Russia asked, not really showing much concern.
"Da, I'm fine Otets."
"Nice going," Ukraine muttered sarcastically to Belarus. "You practically squeezed the kid to death."
"But she's so cute and tiny," Belarus replied. "I couldn't help it."
Natie gulped. She didn't find it natural for Belarus to be acting the way she was. It was just...oh gosh it was weird. Why is Tetya Belarus being so nice to me? Natie thought. It's so weird. Plus she hasn't said anything to Otets about marrying him.
"Natie, why don't I get you a pretty dress to wear? Then I can braid your hair and put some make-up on you."
The thought of that sent shivers down Natie's spine. Okay, Teyta Belarus is being way too nice.
"Have you ever stopped to think that maybe she doesn't want to do any of that stupid stuff?" Ukraine said.
Belarus bit her lower lip. "Well I-"
"The kid probably doesn't want to do any of that stuff," Ukraine took a sip out of the bottle of Vodka. "If you ask me, that stuff is way too girly."
"But she'd look so adorable!"
Ukraine sighed and then gulped down more Vodka. "Strange girl," she muttered under her breath.
Natie stared at Ukraine, confused as to why Ukraine was acting strange. Have Teyta Belarus and Teyta Ukraine switched personalities our something? Natie thought. They're acting strange. She then looked at her "Father". Is something wrong with Otets too? His eyes look different and he's acting different. I'm so confused.
**********
Later that day, Natie watched as her "Father" go into his study. She placed her ear against the door and listened to the man talk; "Da, I have the little one.....That is correct, she believes I'm her Otets. What now?.....Are you sure? That sounds a bit excessive....."
Who is he talking to? Natie thought. I do know that that's not Otets though. What do I do?
Just as Natie was thinking, someone picked her up and squeezed her. She looked to see that it was "Belarus". "There you are Natie," she said as she squeezed the child. "I've been looking for you."
"C-Can't breathe," Natie struggled to say. "Can't breathe!"
Finally, Natie was able to slip out of Belarus' grasp and ran as fast as she could towards the front door. She slammed the door open and ran outside into the snow as fast as she could.
The woman stood in confusion as she watched Natie run away. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked in confusion.
After running for a while, Natie came to a stop near a tree. She huffed out some air as she tried to catch her breath. A sigh of relief escaped her mouth when she realized that Belarus was following her, or whoever it was. "That was close,"
Natie then sat on the ground. She then looked down at the scarf around her neck. Russia gave it to her when she was a baby and had worn it ever since, despite the fact that it was a bit worn. It's what kept her close to her Father. She clutched it in her hands as she looked at the sky. "Otets, where are you?"
