Burger Pie

Pie or burger? PIE?? Or BURGER??

Why not both!

Welcome to September's Cooking Show, brought to you by SUPERNATURAL.

We're celebrating the month by bringing you a recipe Dean Winchester couldn't put down.

It's.....

Burger Pie!

When you're on the road, you don't got a lot of stuff, but you can make this pie with pantry staples. What you need? 4 things! Cheese, beef, eggs, and biscuit mix. (The savory biscuit. We're not making chocolate chip cookies, people!)

Recipe:

Preheat the oven to 400º Fahrenheit. Spray a 9″ round deep dish pie plate (or cake pan) with cooking spray.

Using a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and the onions together until the beef is no longer pink and the onions are translucent. Drain off any fat. Add in the minced garlic, salt and pepper. You know you got them! Hunter must haves. Mix well.

Spread the beef mixture in the bottom of the prepared pie plate. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. But this is SPN so we're gonn go a bit fancy. Use the cheese to draw the anti-possession tattoo. That's a pentagram, surrounded by a sun lookin thingy. Do your best. Don't want any demons up in here.

In a small bowl, whisk together the biscuit mix, milk and eggs. Pour evenly over the beef and cheese.

Bake for 30-35 minutes.

The middle of the pie should feel set and the top look golden brown. You can also insert a knife into the center of the pie and it should come out clean with no eggy-ness on it.

Ta-daa! Now you can stuff your face with a burger pie and cry over SPN.

Bye.
