"If they cared so much, why didn't they come looking for me?"

He was silent

Heavy silence coated the room. Tension began to build up with each passing second, all most to the point of suffocation.

"Because....because..."

She stared at the man, brows furrowed with anger. Fists clenched so tightly, her knuckles began to turn white.

"Because what?"

His hands slowly went limp with defeat. His head hung low, an unreadable expression on his face.
Silence took over once again, only the breathing of those in the room could be heard. The cat and the rat, both stood there, sad expressions on their faces, they knew, they knew why, but they wouldn't tell a soul.
Tohru stared at everyone confusion written on her face, before she broke both the tension and the silence with her words.

"Um Tsuki. Would-would you like some water?"

The girl took her intense gaze off her brother before staring at the clueless girl with soft, clouded eyes.

"No I'm fine thank you anyways."

Tohru nodded, turning to leave the room to get herself a glass of water.
Tsuki turned back towards Shigure, brows furrowed once again, the intense stare back on his depressed figure.

"I'm going to be staying awhile."

She looked towards Kyo and Yuki her eyes concentrated on their faces, nothing else. Shear fright shot through them as they met her gaze.

"And if you don't mind, I'd like to keep this as much of a secret from Akito as possible."

She turned back towards her bother, knowing he was Akito's personal messenger. As she left through the front door, her back towards them, the room fell silent once again.

And everyone stared at Shigure.
