(Disclaimer:i do not own Candilanderz and it's characters, i only own the Ocs i add into it and the story i come up with. This side-story is just while i re-write the first 2 chapters of the original story, i don't want you guys to be left with nothing to read while i update other books than just this. -This story is a alternate version of what takes place in Episode 2 of candilanderz(old version due to there being a reboot being made),it begins from this scene-

Luca's POV:

It was around 9pm at night when i was walking around the city, pizzabox in hand since it would be the last of the two deliveries i needed to finish before going home. 

I took my cellphone from my jacket's pocket and turned it on, a notification glaring at me from the screen saying '25 missed calles from:Mom', i breathed a sigh of annoyance "Twenty-five missed calls?...you've gotta be kidding me.." I say to myself as i entered the password and logged into my phone.

Just as i did that, my ringtone blared loudly making me jump in surprise. I looked down and it was my cousin, Giovanni,ringing me "Oh boy..."

 i answered the call "Hey Gio,What's-" i started to speak but he interrupted,being the rude-a** that he is. "CALL 'YER MOTHER BACK!" he screamed at me angrily,my ears feeling sore from the damage being dealt "i can't man! I-i'm working" i replied, walking onwards "you're talkin' to me, Ain't you?" He answers,sarcasm in his tone of voice.

"Well yeah but-" i started saying again so, what? You got time to talk to your cousin but not your mother?" Giovanni interrupts "n-no it's just that-" i try to speak again but got interrupted once again "you know when you don't answer her she calls me,right?" he asks.

Just as i was about to answer,i saw Ren come out from a local cafe i actually work part time at on the side. Funny enough, i don't use my parents money, i managed to get my own bank account and using the money i saved up over the years i'd bought my apartment after collage.

I had to finish collage online since my parents tried to make me drop out and continue to help with their..'Business', i pretended to do that but..i finished it online with top grades and use those and the volunteer work i'd previously done in my home town to get those jobs.

Soo Pizza worker, part-time cafe worker and store assistant are pretty good jobs i handle working around,also a bakery called 'Moonpie plaza' pays really good for me being one of their delivery guys. The owner is Such an amazing man, he helps kids who are looking for an easy job to manage and gives an additional £100 when you start to help with buying food and other things like rent. 

Ah! Sorry i'm getting off track here.

 "Luca? You still there? You better answer me" Giovanni starts to ask and i interrupt "I'll call you back." I pressed 'end call' and walked over to the Macha Naga "Ren!" I called to him.

Ren turned to face me "What are YOU doing here?" he asks sternly, crap i'd forgot we'd had a falling out due to our families..and the feud plus turf wars going on. "I, Uh, Kinda live here... Can't say i ever expected to see you in the city though, did you move?" i asked, a Bit too hopefully.

 "No, i overheard some talk about a certain banned artifact in Sourbite. Figured i'd deal with it myself rather than burden my family." he said, looking at me, as if disgusted with the fact i was still alive, "in fact...it's one that YOUR family is rumored to have owned...sound familiar?" Ren asks then gets closer to my face, almost a few inches away. 

In that moment,i have no clue why but i almost had a gay panic. Yes i'm, gay and i have a crush on my Ex Best friend, Just don't judge me please..even when he's pissed off, Ren was just...GAH he's hot! Even his voice drives me crazy,in a good way!...why does he have to hate me?...sometimes i wonder why the world hates me.

"N-Nope! I honestly have no clue what you're talking about!.." i stuttered but then scratched the back of my neck, a bit saddened "besides, they don't tell me anything anymore, since i screw everything up...it's actually kind of a relief. "

Ren's hand gripped my shirt tightly, pulling me closer to his face, angry "Relief, Huh? I almost forgot how sickening your lack of pride is. i can't WAIT for the day that hag disowns you. In the mean time..." he shoves me backwards,my back hitting the wall...i almost screamed in agony, Biting my bottom lip to keep the scream contained,hissing in pain.

"Stay out of my way if you kow what's good for you." Ren hisses angrily with poison, and starts slithering away "that was way too close... " I say to myself as my phone is repeatedly ringing again, i take it out and answer it again.

"what is it now gio?" I asked slightly annoyed "DON'T YA' DARE CUT ME OFF AGAIN YOU MISTAKE!" He yells through the phone "No wonder ya parents dispise you, you're an ungreatful little bastard! what DID THEY EVER DO TO YOU?!"

....to say, i snapped would be an understatement...but god it felt good to get everything out "what did they do to me?....i'll tell you just WHAT THEY DID!" i yell back at him.

It's about god damn time i told him what my parents have done..
