TRINITY

Never in a million years I fall in love with someone. Crushes? Ew, what's that? I don't know what's the feeling of falling in love. But today, all I can say is... Love is magical.

"Tell me, what should I do?" Muli niyang sabi.

The walls I build in my heart in several years. No one ever dared to cross it. And here he is, madali lang nakapasok na walang kahirap-hirap.

"I literally... Don't know what to say," sabi ko. Napatingin ako sa girl's dormitory nang makita sina Huzein na lumabas ng dorm. Tumingin ito sa direksyon namin.

"You're not rejecting me, aren't you?" He asked and then smiled weakly. "It's okay, I know he's better than me. I can't blame you though."

"W-what are you talking about?" I stuttered. Kita ko sa gilid ng mga mata ko na umalis na sila. Mukhang may pupuntahan sila at hindi man lang kami sinabihan.

He chuckled. "It's obvious, Trinity. You are in love with Huzein. Everybody knows it, kayo lang hindi nakakaalam na—"

I didn't let him to finished his sentence. I dragged him to the nearest tree. Nagulat ito dahil sa ginawa ko. Akmang magsasalita siya nang ipaglapat ko ang aming mga labi.

This. This is the first time that I kiss someone. Na ako ang unang humalik. Even if he's not my first kiss, it doesn't matter. But the feeling inside me, I can feel not just the butterflies but a whole damn jungle.

I close my eyes hardly when he started to move his lips, tasting every corner of my mouth. The golden sky slowly turns to dark blue with the stars, watching us sharing our kiss.

His eyes begun to teared up. I still continue what I'm going to say. "You... You make me feel that there's love in this world, that love is for everyone. I believe of what people says, that love is magical. I didn't even know that I'm in love with you."

"Paano ka nagkagusto sa'kin? To be honest, I didn't read your letters, if I will turn back the time I will read it and memorize every single word."

Binitawan niya ang kamay ko at hinawakan naman niya ang pisngi ko. He copped my cheeks,"I see myself to you. Just like a mirror, it's like you're a parallel version of me. You're the missing piece in my life. At first, I'm curious about you but slowly... I'm falling in love with your flaws and imperfections. Everyone likes your twin sister, but not me. Once again, I remembered what Huzein told me few hours ago.

Honestly, dapat nasa college na ako but I intentionally failed the exams para makasabay kita. I want to see your smile, even if it's not because of me. All I thought that you're in love with Huzein. Napatingin ako sa kalangitan and he's right. Full moon ngayon at nakatapat ito sa pwesto namin. I unconsciously smiled.

We decided to go in the rooftop at the Building three instead. I told him that we're not going to building two because it's a curse building.

We both layed down. Unan-unan niya ang kaniyang braso habang ako naman ay nakahiga sa kaniyang dibdib. I thank every Gods and Goddesses because the dark blue sky is clear.

"This is rest that I craved for how many years..." I heard him whispered.

He texted Kace that we're fine and we'll back in a couple of hour. Baka kasi mag-alala sila. Also, I texted Huzein. I don't want him to be dead worried about me.

Gamit ang kaniyang cellphone, nagpatugtog kami ng mga kanta. We also sing along and laughed. Hindi ko nga nakilala si Lucien dahil doon. I never heard him laughed in my entire life. Neither I, naninibago ako sa sarili ko. Alam kong mahirap akong pangitiin but here he are, planting a smile on my lips easily.

We played Araw-Araw by Ben&Ben, ILYSB by LANY, When I Met You by Apo Hiking Society and All I Ask by Adele. Until the song switched to Mirrors by Justine Timberlake.

We talked about random things. Like childhood dream, memories we treasured. Sinabi niya din sa akin na kapatid niya si Lilith which is quite surprising. Halatang magkapatid sila dahil parehas sila kung paano kumilos. Maliban lang sa lollipop ni Lilith at ang Yakult ni Lucien.

I slowly feel sleepy. Nagpaalam ako kay Lucien na matutulog na at sabi niya ay babantayan niya ako. I don't know why they need to protect me like that but I agreed. And then all I know is I'm sleeping peacefully with his arms.

THIRD PERSON

Lucien is looking at Trinity softly. Hinahagod niya pa ang malalambot at pinong buhok ni Trinity. His eyes traveled from her hair, down to her nose until it reaches to her lips.

"Damn, I didn't know that I will crave for her kisses more..." He whispered and chuckled softly. Ayaw niyang magising ang minamahal niya.

He's happy. He felt alive after how many years. But sadly, he need to leave her... Forever.

Alam niyang hindi siya magtatagal dito. Alam niya ding delikado ang pinasok niyang problema. At ngayon, ngayon na ang resulta ng kaniyang mga ginawa.

Kinuha niya ang cellphone ni Trinity. He swiped it, luckily walang password. He took pictures of himself smiling and fierce one. Nag-picture din ito na naka-wacky at naka-wink. After that, he takes a picture of him with Trinity that's sleeping peacefully. Kinuhanan niya pa ang buwan at ang mga bituin ng litrato.

He looked to his phone when it beeped. It's a text message from the unknown number that's bothering him for several days. He sighed. He knows that the time has come.

'Thirty more minutes' it says.

His eyes begun to teared up again. He opened the recording app in Trinity's phone and started to record his voice. First, he sung Mirrors by Justine Timberlake. It's his favourite, it feels like this song was created for him and Trinity.

His voice begun to cracked when he reaches the chorus. He laughed and continued again.

The next one, he recorded his voice again. But this time, he says something. Everything he wanted to say. Everything he feel and this night, he will remember it until he dies.

Nang matapos na ay inilapag niya ang cellphone ni Trinity sa tabi nito. Kinuha niya ang sticky note na nasa basurahan ng rooftop at isang ballpen. He write something there. Nang matapos ay inilagay niya sa casing ng cellphone ni Trinity. He smiled weakly nang makita ang isang polaroid na nakalagay din sa casing ni Trinity.

It's Trinity and Tiffany. Nakasuot silang parehas ng costume for halloween.

Muli siyang pumilas ng isang sticky note at may sinulat doon. But this time, he put this sticky note to Trinity's pocket.

Later on, he decided to bring Trinity to Alliana's dorm. Lahat sila ay nagulat dahil sa pagbuhat ni Lucien kay Trinity.

"Chill, she's not dead. We did not do such a thing that adults do." Sabi niya. Napansin niya kasi ang mga tingin nito sa kaniya.

"Bakit defensive much, Lucifer? Ikaw ah," kutya ni Alliana. Nakapalibot ang apat at mukhang may seryosong usapan.

Hindi na niya intindi ang sinabi ni Alliana. Pumasok ito sa isang kwarto at doon inilapag si Trinity. Inilagay niya ang kaniyang cellphone sa katabi nitong nightstand. He leaned to Trinity and kiss her forehead, nose, her cheeks and last... Her lips. He want to taste her lips once again.

Kinuha niya ang itim na jacket at nagpaalam na magpapahangin lang kay Lilith. Madaming tanong sina Kace at Alliana pero hindi na niya ito pinansin pa. He sighed and walk to building two where someone is waiting for him.

Dinala siya ng kaniyang paa sa tapat ng laboratory room. For the nth time, he sighed. Tumingin siya sa paligid at sinisiguradong walang nakasunod sa kaniya. Nang makasigurado, binuksan niya ang pintuan at pumasok doon.

Dilim ang sumalubong sa kaniya. Agad niyang hinanap ang switch pero bago pa niya mahanap, may tumamang matigas na bagay sa kaniyang ulo. Agad siyang natumba.

He heard someone chuckled. And a familiar voice!

"Are you really sure that you will offer your life to Trinity? What a waste of life," the unknown said. And guess what... It's a... It's a woman!

All along, they're right. The Scorpion is a woman!

Pinilit niyang idilat ang mga mata. He saw a woman wearing a cloak. He can't see her face clearly. Ngunit he managed to see something on Scorpion's body.

It's a mark... Of a scorpion.

Agad itong sumalampak sa sahig nang paluin siya nito. The murderer laughed as loud as she can. That voice... A familiar voice.

Nagulat ito nang makita niyang tinanggal ni Scorpion ang hood ng kaniyang cloak. But he see nothing except her silhouette. They are right, this scorpion is a short hair! All along, victims are not lying about that!

"Why so dumb, Lucien Feirro Hart? Both dumb like Tiffany Morgan, I don't know what's the point of risking your life to someone." She said. "Let's have a chit chat first before I'll end you."

Akmang tatayo si Lucien nang paluin ulit ito ni Scorpion. "Stay in that position. Or else, your lover will be the next candidate."

"D-don't dare..." Lucien whispered.

"Of course, I won't. I keep my promises like what I said to Tiffany Morgan. My plan is, kill Trinity Morgan instantly. But that bitch begged for me to kill her instead. So, I edited the results to make it Tiffany Morgan the winner."

"W-what are y-you doing? Your saying these things to... To me?" Nanghihinang tanong ni Lucien.

"Nothing. It's just... It's boring to keep this everything to myself. I want someone who will be my living diary. Anyways, in a couple of minutes you'll be bathing in your own blood while they are looking for you. Hoping that you're still alive," Scorpion answered and laughed.

"D-do you fucking like me?" Muling tanong ni Lucien. Napangiwi ito nang paluin muli ng babae.

"And what if I do? I will let you stay alive but you need to be my ally. Deal? Oh, I'm not that dumb. You like Trinity Morgan, aren't you? No. I'll kill you instead." She said.

Scorpion grab a sharp knife. Lucien closed his eyes hardly while thinking about Trinity. Her smile, her laughed, how she sung. The moment they spend together. He can feel the knife, stabbing in every part of his body.

'I want to live longer for us, I love you Trinity until my last breath,' he thought. Slowly, his vision turns to peach black.

A bloody night happened. After spending his remaining hours to the woman he loves the most. This is how life works, we'll be happy for a moment and we'll back again to the sad us.

You can hear nothing but Scorpion loud laughs inside the Laboratory that night.

TRINITY

I woke up panting. It's now six in the morning. Tulog pa din sina Kace, Alliana, Huzein at Lilith. But something's missing. Where's him?

I went to the bathroom and pee. Napatingin ako sa bulsa ko nang may makapa. What's this? A letter again?

It's a pink sticky note and it says,

SOS? If I can remember, this means help...

HE'S IN DANGER!

"Motherfuckers wake up!" Sigaw ko. Agad kong niyugyog silang lahat. Papungas-pungas pa ang mga ito. Agad kong ibinigay ang papel na nakita ko sa aking bulsa.

"What the fuck? Nagpaalam lang siya kagabi na magpapahangin lang?" Gulat na sabi ni Lilith. Agad niyang hinablot ang papel na hawak ko and they start to decode it.

Ang iba ay nagsitayuan at naghilamos. Agad akong tumayo at tinignan ang cellphone ko. Maybe... May text siya diba? Baka sinabi niya sa akin kung saan siya nagpunta kagabi and why he need help?

Nagulat ako nang napunta ako sa camera roll ko at gallery. The pictures. They are less than one hundred pictures. May ibang sa kaniya at karamihan ay sa aming dalawa. I look like a Aurora but a short hair because I'm a sleeping princess.

May mga pictures pa ito na nakatutok sa buwan at mga bituin. I unconsciously smiled when I saw his selfies na nakangiti. May iba pa dito na nagpapa-cute siya. It's the moment I knew that he's really... That handsome.

Napatingin ako nang may nagbukas sa records ko. And when I saw it, may dalawang records na bago at kagabi lang ito ginawa.

I played the first one and it's his voice, singing. Napatingin naman ang lahat sa kinaroroonan ko dahil naka-loud speaker ako. He's singing Mirrors by Justine Timberlake and All I ask by Adele.

"Ang ganda pala ng boses ng kuya mo, Lilith?" Puna ni Alliana. Lilith just nodded habang nakatingin sa sticky note na ibinigay ko.

I played the second voice record. Napansin kong limang minuto ang haba nito. At first, it started with a dead air until I heard a spft cries. It's from him.

"Shit..." Bulong ni Lilith habang nakatingin sa akin. "It's... It's been a while when he cried... It means, there's something will happened that he already knows."

Muli kong ibinaling ang tingin ko sa aking phone. Tumabi naman ang tatlo sa akin ang tatlo.

"First off all, I want to start this voice record with this. I love you, Trinity, and you know it. As you can see—I mean hear, I sung a song entitled Mirrors by Justine Timberlake and All I Ask by Adele. Why? The song Mirrors described us, and the All I Ask... Is the last song I will sing for you. All I ask is... Be happy, be safe, take care of yourself dahil... Dahil wala na ako para sa'yo..." He's voice begun to cracked.

"Remember the first day we saw eachother? Sinadya kong kindatan ka, I thought you will think that I'm attractive but it didn't work. And then, nagkaroon ka ng sugat dahil kay Scorpion and I was there. Nag-p-panic ako dahil I don't want you to see with a blood om your skin. Meeting you is the best moment of my life. Honestly, I want to end my life and then I met you from far away. It's glad to see that you're wearing the necklace I gave you two years back.

All I ask is for your forgiveness. I know sooner or later, you'll know what am I talking about. Wait—sabi ko hindi ako iiyak but I'm here, crying while looking at your angelic face.

Everything we did, the kisses, the hugs, laying down while looking at the stars and moon... I will never forget that... I will treasure it until the end of my life. Thank you for teaching me how to fall in love, it's nice to meet you— scratch that! It was magical and enchanting to meet a woman like you.

The audio ended. I cried so damn hard. Kahit si Alliana ay umiiyak na din. Si Kace ay nagpupunas-punas habang si Huzein ay hinahagod ang likod ko. Bakit niya sinabi 'yon? May nangyari bang masama sa kaniya that's why he said those?

"Damn! Let's go! He's in the lab!" Sigaw ni Lilith at agad na tumayo.
