No.

:

"There are days where flying to the moon doesn't seem so bad."

Natalie rested her phone on her chest as she watched her ceiling, a blanket raised up to her chin to soothe the coldness rushing in the room and giving her goosebumps.

"The moon is pretty."

Nat smiled, hearing Quackity's murmured words as '2:33 AM" shone on their phones, telling the two that they had been talking on the phone for two hours at least.

"It is," she agreed.

"I feel like you're just as pretty as the moon," Quackity mumbled and the girl could feel herself shaking her head, a stupid grin on her face. She chuckled lightly. "I'm being serious! I feel like you are, and when the day comes where I get to see your face, I'll be simping over you."

That made Natalie snort.

"Calm down, Alex," Quackity slightly giggled sleepily, alerting her that they really need their sleep. "We should go—"

"No," Quackity whined almost immediately, knowing what she was going to say. "I want to get to know you more. Like-like, um, what's your favorite book?"

"Love Is A Mixtape," Natalie answered. "I really admire the book. It comes from the author, speaking about grief and the different ways grief is shown in a person and how other people deal with it. So, I guess when I need a good cry, I always go to that book because it comforts me the way the author speaks about the good memories with his wife."

"Do you like reading books?"

"If I find a good book," Nat responded. "I need to find a good ass book or else I will literally fall asleep if the book isn't interesting. It's uncommon for me to find a decent book that... interests me."

"You are really smart," Quackity breathed out. "You know that?"

"Thank you," the girl smiled. "You're really smart, too."

He smiled and she could sense it. "Thank you." The two stayed silent and he sighed. "So, tell me about what you like about the sky."

Natalie couldn't believe his question. She's dated guys, yes, but no one ever asked her questions much like the ones Quackity was asking. They were all the usual ones.

"I like the stars," she mumbled under her breath, tilting her head to the side to glance at the balcony. She saw her reflection before fully focusing on the night sky, watching the countless of white dots littered across the dark blue sky that brought a small smile on her lips. "It's, like, you know that someone is there for you despite not knowing so or a reminder that despite thinking your existence is small, you withhold a lot of worth while a lot of people are there for you."

"I've never seen it that way," Quackity whispered as if the two just started to share their darkest secrets. "Nice to see the stars in that point of view. It's such a unique way to look at it like that. It's very interesting in general to just see how-how different you can see stars."

"Well, they're beautiful," Natalie smiled. "How can't I notice? Wait... am I one of those cliché, quirky girls who is in love with the stars?"

"No," Quackity said under his breath, "I think you're a pretty girl."

Natalie froze in her place in her bed, cheeks flushing red while that same heat traveled to her ears, the tips turning the same shade as her face. She shook her head.

"You're too nice and you've never even met me in person."

"I don't need to know you in person just for me to be nice to you," Quackity clarified. "I know I haven't seen your face but, you're such a nice person, Nat! You are so nice and kind. You have the most weirdest thoughts some days but that's what make you... unique."

"Unique?" Nat hummed. "I've never been described that, but thank you. I think you're pretty cool, too."

"Cool, huh?"

She could hear the smugness in his voice and playfully rolled her eyes, slightly shaking her head at his words and tone.

"Yes, cool," she smiled. "Very cool. I'm still surprised you're my friend actually. Like, you're so cool and have a nice personality. So many people look up to you because of how amazing of a human being you are."

"Damn, Nat," Quackity breathed out. "You're a simp for me now?"

"Shut up," the two laughed and Nat could feel her cheeks hurting from smiling so damn much. She heard him yawn. "You need to sleep."

"You need to sleep."

"Fine, we both need to sleep."

"Okay... Goodnight, Nat."

"Goodnight, Alex."

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Ahahaha this chapter
made me want to have
what Quackity and Nat
have

Also, p.s. ive seen some
of you and privately messaged
me to say that you're going
to pretend like a certain actress
is Nat, but the actresses are white...

I don't mind, but Nat is Mexican
and a poc, meaning that a White
actress isn't what I had in mind
when I came up with Nat :)
