with their opposite arms pressed together as they laid next to each other, they hummed along the song.

taehyung and jeongguk were listening to lauv's 'i like me better' through one earplug as they each got one.

jeongguk finally managed the courage and laced their pinkies together to which taehyung's reaction wasn't like be expected.

the older expected him to pull it but the other surprisingly didn't.

this made jeongguk hopeful and he went for holding the brunette's hand.

taehyung blushed when jeongguk intertwined their fingers and turned to his right causing the both to now face each other, "i wanna tell you a secret."

"of course." jeongguk sat up which was followed by taehyung. they stared at each other before smiling widely, not caring that the earplugs were long gone and was somewhere on the bed playing music for no one to hear.

"tell me." jeongguk scooted closer causing taehyung's heart to bear faster and that smile of the raven head was nothing less than sweet poison.

taehyung closed his eyes and could feel jeongguk now holding both his hands, he swears his heart's gonna pop out any moment as the older's hold tightened.

"hey cut the suspense, just say it!" jeongguk was getting impatient with every passing second and taehyung finally said it.

"you are my long time crush, gguk." taehyung confessed and jeongguk raised his brows, his smile getting wider with every single moment.

"oh." he replied shortly.

taehyung sighed softly and looked away when the other grinned at him, "so you saying my crush has a long time crush on me. that sounds fantastic."

"that's what i said." taehyung giggled before both of them were engulfed in silence.

jeongguk was the one who broke the silence, "isn't that great?"

"i guess it is. it was quite unexpected for me." taehyung replied and felt the butterflies in his tummy when jeongguk started to lean closer.

taehyung for a moment really thought that they were gonna kiss this moment but they didn't.

jeongguk booped their noses against each other and giggled, "you are so cute, kim taehyung."

"i'm not cute― and you know what i don't like you anymore. it was my fifteen year old self." taehyung pushed the other who was still giggling, "you are lying, i know. such a pretty liar."

"hey, you wanna come to my house?" jeongguk relaxed his whole body as he threw himself back on the bed.

"i would love to." taehyung excitedly said and settled beside the other.

they again were surrounded by pure silence and this time it was taehyung who spoke first, "your parents know you like boys? in that way?"

"last year when i came out, my mom wasn't cool with it, she threw me out of the house and i slept in the yard that night but next day―" jeongguk paused for a moment before bursting out into laughter.

"i caught a bad cold and my mom took me in and we didn't talk about it after that so maybe it's cool now." jeongguk turned again held taehyung's hand.

the brunette smiled.

"what about your parents? are they okay with this?" jeongguk asked the same question to which taehyung just let out a small chuckle at first.

"they wouldn't have been okay with this but as i am dying anyways, they just don't have to care about my sexuality." taehyung answered before sitting up, "i said earlier and will say again―"

"cancer has it's own perks. it's good." taehyung said and jeongguk sat up now.

his eyes glassy.

"you are such a fool. don't you love being with us, with me?" jeongguk caressed the other's cheek who immediately closed his eyes.

"you might have fallen in love with jeon jeongguk but i didn't. it's still just a crush." taehyung laughed with his eyes closed and jeongguk let the tears fall when some rushed down from the corner of taehyung's eyes.

"you are such a meanie, taehyung. you made me cry. a man like me shouldn't cry." jeongguk wiped the tears away with both his thumbs and pulled the corners of taehyung's lips up.

"now smile for me."

"i suggest you to not visit me again. all i can do is make you cry." taehyung pushed the other away and sternly said, "leave."

"what if i love the pain?" jeongguk asked.

though he got off the bed but still didn't break the eye contact between them.

"i am warning you jeongguk, you are gonna end up hurting yourself so bad if you keep going. i'm not worth your time." taehyung said but that didn't affect the other even a little.

"i will be here for pick you up tomorrow."
