Skylar POV

Rosco and I were dancing around my room and I was unpacking, it's Saturday mid afternoon and I woke up ate some coco puffs for breakfast and decided it would be wise to use today to unpack and put things away and tomorrow contact those adorable twins and hang out, get to know them some before school Monday and maybe have some friends before I go to school.

So am I'm dancing around my dog, putting some clothes in my dresser the doorbell goes off causing me to yelp and lose my balance and fall on my butt. Rosco runs over to me and checks to see if I'm ok and I rub his head and get up.

I look down at my ridiculous outfit, my baby cousin who is 6 likes to play dress up and she bought me a green skirt thing and we face timed earlier when she woke up at seven and wanted me to dress up with her and I forgot to take it off so I being the cool older cousin I am, I wear it downstairs with pride. I don't know who is at my door but I don't care, I love Ashley and I don't want to make her sad even if she isn't here. Besides, she'll giggle her little heart out to learn I answered the door like this.

When I opened the door I did not expect to see so many people! There are five, yes five sets of twins standing there along with six other men and wow they look like they all could be models!

"Ah hi!" I squeak out rather nervous since I have no idea who they are except Aiden and Ethan.

"Hi Skylar! We told our parents about you and since my uncle Jake is the mayor of the town he wanted to come welcome you and well everyone else tagged along since we hardly get new people in town, sorry to stop by unannounced but we didn't have a number for you, just your address from the reality company." Ethan I think says, they look exactly alike so it's hard to tell who is who.

"Oh well that's ok, I was actually going to call you tomorrow to hang out. I'm unpacking everything today and I'm in the middle of doing my room, still have a lot left to do. I appreciate the welcome everyone, would you all like to come in?" I asked and opened the door wider to find Rosco by my side instantly and growling lowly, I rub his head to calm him down and the huge group of people walk in.

"Hello I'm Jake, this is my husband Sawyer, my brother's Jayden and Jaylen, brother's in laws Alex and Alek, their kids Aiden and Ethan, my best friend Ben and his husband Conrad, their kids Ally and Eli, my daddy Danny and papa Craig and my sisters Jazmin and Jazlyn. I know it's a lot of names to remember but you'll learn soon enough. Welcome to Hood River. I must say, I wasn't expecting you to be wearing a skirt when you opened the door." Jake chuckled and I blushed and slightly shrugged my shoulder.

"I was on face time with my baby girl cousin today and well she loves playing dress up and wanted me to play along with her. It made her smile so that's all that mattered to me. Would you like something to drink, I have a case of dr. pepper and I did buy other stuff but I haven't made it, I also have apple juice." I offered and the girls for some reason squealed and grabbed my bare arms as I'm not wearing a shirt, just sweats and the skirt over it.

"That is so cute! It's very sweet you did that for her! I remember when my big brother's would play with us when we were younger to make us happy, even painted their nails and put make up on them and did crazy things to their hair!" One of them said, I don't know who. I laughed a little at the image I got of these three huge men as boys all dolled up.

"Ashley is my baby, I would do anything for her. Her dad passed away over seas last year and I'm the only other male in her life so yea I'd do anything for her. Her mom is actually going to be here with her next week to drop her off because she is going to the hospital for treatment for cancer that they just found so I'm going to be her temporary guardian while she is getting better. I didn't know this until I talked to her this morning so now on top of moving and unpacking I also need to go girl shopping and get a room set up for her." I said and sat down at the island thinking of Liz and Ashley.

"Don't you worry, we can help. Guys go back to the house and look in the storage building and get out the girls things from when they were younger, also go buy new sheets pillows things like that. Jazmin go with them so you can pick out some nice outfits for her for when she goes to school and Jazlyn, contact Connor and have him drive my truck back after it's packed while you go with your uncle's to the mall. Craig and I will help unpack the living room and the rest of you find a room and unpack and set things up looking nice. We want Ashley and Skylar to be comfortable here so go, get to your tasks." Danny ordered and everyone was off doing what they were told.

"Now Skylar what do you need for the house?" Jake asked me.

"Well I bought a little bit of food yesterday but I will need more and I need cleaning supplies and that's pretty much it, I have everything else I need. Thank you for helping me, my dad won't be here till this coming week and with school and now Liz and Ashley, just thank you. It's very nice of you all to help a complete stranger." I said honesty and they smiled at me.

"No problem Skylar. We look out for our town and your apart of it so no need to thank us." Sawyer said and Jake kissed his cheek and I looked away.

"Are you not comfortable with gay people?" Ben asked from behind me causing me to jump slightly.

"No sir that's not why I looked away, I did it out of respect. I am gay myself so no I have no issues with it. If I did, do you think I would let you in my house after I found out your married to a man?" I asked and he chuckled and ruffled my hair.

"Good point. Come on little dude let's get this house together." He said and we did just that.

A few hours later the house is done except the room for Ashley, were cooking dinner as we are waiting on this Connor to show up with the items for her room.
