1 - Look Into The Deadest Tree

Ranboo was walking through the city. It was unfamiliar to him, the only guidance he had being his phone. England. That's where he was, in a city. A pleasant city, the tall boy had to admit. He'd heard stories about how grand or peaceful or loud cities could be, and this one wasn't too much of anything. From his American point of view, that is. From someone who lived there, they could probably say these thoughts were false.

Tubbo's city, Ranboo looked down at his phone, was large. Neat, but large. He couldn't help but notice every glance he got because of how much taller he was, even if it was by a few inches. Hey, he didn't choose his genetics! Also, why don't they just... get taller? He didn't snicker at that one, not at all, no, not him. He heard laughing behind him, and then insults thrown back and forth.

Until finally, they stopped, and all was silent.

"Ranboo?" A boy asked hesitantly behind him. A familiar British accent laced into his words, tied like string.

Ranboo, out of instinct, paused, turning slightly. Fuck, what if it was a random person, and he just revealed his identity?

"Oh, no, not this dumb fuck." An unmistakable voice hissed, coming from an unmistakable blonde, who walked with an unmistakable boy. "Keep going, take a left, you'll find your way, poor soul."

"Tommy! Stop! Sorry, are you, um, Ranboo?" Tubbo asked beside Tommy. Ranboo smiled internally, knowing this was the perfect opportunity to troll the two.

"Ranboo? Sounds like a shitty name for a tall guy." Ranboo spoke in the most sophisticated voice he could manage, and Tubbo gasped, a smile on his face.

"RANBOO!" Tubbo drew attention from groups of older folk, who simply glared for making a disruption. The boy didn't care, though, failing to tackle Ranboo. But he did manage to hug him, though.

"Tubbo!" Ranboo exclaimed quieter, hugging the boy back. Tommy huffed, but when Ranboo offered a hug, he probably squeezed tighter than Tubbo. "Glad to see me?"

"Shut up." Tommy growled, backing away from the hug. "Tubbo, you didn't tell me you invited this bitch to your house, too."

"I did!" Tubbo gasped, trying (and failing) to whack the side of Tommy's head. The younger was able to pull back, and stand on his tip-toes, and instead pat Tubbo's hair. The boy pouted, Tommy's head just barely out of reach.

"Whatever. You gonna let him in, bee boy?" Tommy asked, and Ranboo hadn't even realized they were walking down the side of the road. Ranboo's phone shook, squeaking out 'turn right to your destination,' making Tubbo burst into giggles.

"Really?" Tommy asked, just barely pushing back the amusement in his voice. "Google maps? Prime, you are boring!" He chuckled.

"And you pray to Twitch Prime in real life?" Ranboo raised an eyebrow, smirking. Tommy, realizing his sudden slip-up, scowled.

"Fuck off, ender bitch." Tommy got to the door of the fair-sized house before Tubbo, holding it open. Tubbo and Ranboo entered, Ranboo taking a moment to take in all of his surroundings. Woah, Tubbo- or, well, his family- knew how to decorate well.

"Come on, big man, stop gawking for two seconds." Tubbo said excitedly, his eyes practically shining as he grabbed Ranboo's wrist and pulled him gently to his room.

note; all of this is made up for the sake of the fic, you'll understand why soon

The walls were painted a soft green color, those glow in the dark stars sticking to the ceiling. His bed had a fluffy looking bee blanket on it, and he had a nightstand just beside it. On the opposite side of the room, a door stood, the dark color almost reminding Ranboo of a tree against the grass.

Tubbo pushed it open, revealing his recording and streaming office. He had three monitors, his microphone carefully adjusted to move. He had a comfortable-looking chair, and out of the cameras view, a few shelves for food. Under the desk, opposite of his PC, was a mini fridge. Tommy snatched a Coke from inside, and Ranboo got a glimpse of the variety of juices and sodas, and waters. Well, water, there was no 'variety'.

"And..." Tubbo knocked his knuckles against the wall lightly, and a trapdoor rolled open. It led directly to a greenhouse, housing all sorts of plants. Ranboo couldn't name them, but he did know he saw flowers of purple, pink, orange, yellow, red, blue, even mixes of the few. One plant he could recognize, though, was the purple waffle plants huddled in the corner.

note to self, take a picture of my purple waffle and update it here so i have proof im not crazy and its a legit plant- if i forget and publish this book anyway, spam this for like 3 messa- comments.

edit as im publishing; damn i forgot. look up 'purple waffle plant' and you'll have an idea of what it is

Eager to see more, Ranboo followed Tubbo, slipping through the small space, falling on his feet into the humid room. Tommy followed silently, a smile tugging at his lips. Tubbo may not know much of the plants, or any of them by name, but he did make nicknames for them. He had his own greenhouse next to his house!

"Look, looklooklooklooklook, Ranboo, It's the uh." Tubbo paused for a moment, gesturing to a plant with large leaves, each hanging slightly. "Uhh."

"Elephant ear?" Ranboo asked. Tubbo lit up again, nodding.

"Yeah! It's my oldest plant that's still alive!" Tubbo smiled, reaching forwards and pressing his palm gently to the leaf facing him. Ranboo would've never guessed Tubbo liked plants, he had an entire system for them! Or, he assumed Tubbo did, seeing that there was a hose and plant feed and an entire gardening set laid in one of the corners.

"Hey, Tubbo, has Ranboo seen your honeysuckle bunch?" Tommy asked, knowing the answer was no, but wanting to kickstart the boy on his endless knowledge, anyways. Tubbo was practically vibrating when he brought Ranboo to an area with shrubs growing from the ground, intertwining with bushes. White flowers faded into yellow, and Ranboo found himself amazed by it.

"You can drink the juice from it," Tubbo explained. "It- uh, I usually collect as much as I can in a jar, then I keep it for a drink. You could drink it straight from the flower, but you won't get too much, and it's not as sanitary."

Ranboo let out a hum of acknowledgement.

"I have some inside, it's not much, but if you want I can split it between the three of us." Tubbo offered, and Ranboo and Tommy instantly glanced at each other. Tommy had puppy-dog eyes, silently begging the boy to say yes and accept.

"Sure," Ranboo smiled, and Tommy did a fist pump behind Tubbo's back, putting his hands together in a praying motion and thanking Ranboo.

Tubbo seemed proud when he was pulling a jar with alot more liquid than Ranboo expected. It looked clean, almost like water, but with a yellow-green tint. A sweet scent filled the air, and it reminded Ranboo of eating blackberries with sugar. Y'know, when you find a perfectly juicy blackberry, coat it in just enough sugar, and then bam! The delicious flavor?

"Okay, so, I'll go get shot glasses- don't worry, this isn't drugs- and I'll divide the honeysuckle evenly between us. 'Cause I want some too, Tommy." Tubbo could read Tommy's expression, the boy only faking offense and scoffing. Tubbo left the room, leaving Tommy and Ranboo alone.

"Have you had any befo- wait, nevermind, you were basically begging me to say yes. Is it really that good?" Ranboo asked, better than sugar-coated blackberries? Okay, author Vegas/Pixie really needs to stop referencing them.

"Is it that good?" Tommy mocked Ranboo, "Fuck yes it's that good, even better! Only once a year I can have any of that, and it's so cool every time. You'll love it, and if you don't, just give it to me. Actually, you're going to hate it, just give it to me. British things, you know?"

"Tommy! Stop trying to get him to not try it, sorry, Ranboo. It grows alot in America, I heard. Bought the seeds online, have it every year." Tubbo smiled, three small glasses filled with the same clear yellowish liquid. "Tommy's spoiled with it when it comes back around."

"I can tell," Ranboo smirked, catching Tommy's offended expression.

Tubbo handed them both the glasses, and Tommy immediately began to slowly drink. Ranboo didn't hesitate, only eyeing the liquid for a moment before taking a small sip. He was shocked by the taste, a sweetness washing over him. He found himself slowly taking from it just as Tommy was, downing the entire thing quickly. Oh, how he wanted more.

Tubbo was smiling at the shine in his eyes, and Tommy was laughing.

"Is it good?" Tubbo asked, raising an eyebrow. Ranboo nodded, joining in with Tommy's laugh.

"Yeah, yeah," Ranboo said. "It is."
