"Paige." My dad woke me up. "Time for college honey."
Since my mom left it's just been me and my dad. I can tell he's being strong for me. I can tell he wants to break down. I can tell how hard it is.
"Breakfast is ready so hurry and get dress before the food gets cold." He walked out.
I yawned and stretched my short self. I'm only five-four. Easy to get picked on. Easy to get stuffed in lockers. Easy for no one to notice I'm missing. I prayed that my bullies from high school don't attend this college. I would dread everyday. Probably...even...end everything. Life would be easy with me gone. My dad wouldn't have to worry about me. He could live happily. Right?
I pushed my thoughts aside and got ready. I dressed in jeggings and a crop top with a flannel shirt tied around my waist. I walked into the kitchen where my dad was sitting sipping coffee. I sat down and ate my breakfast.
"You have bus fair?" He asked.
"Mhm, I have enough for the week." I nodded.
I looked at the time seeing I had to leave. I hugged my dad before leaving. I walked up to the bus stop seeing someone already there. I nodded lightly sitting next to him. He glanced over at me as I pulled out my book. He was listening to music. Over hearing the song he was listening to Korean music. He's Asian so I'm assuming he's Korean.
The bus pulls up and we both get on. We both get off at the same stop. I looked around. This college is huge. I walked up looking around. I took my my schedule and map of the college. Where is my locker? Do they even have lockers? I looked around. No lockers. Do they expect us to carry around our stuff.
I took a deep breath and walked up to these girls. Maybe they know where the lockers are.
"Uh hi." I spoke nervously. "Do you know where the lockers are?"
They nodded and pointed the area on the map. They showed me where my locker number was on my schedule.
"Ahh thanks." I nodded and walked off.
I got to my locker and saw the guy from the bus. He was three lockers down from mine. He glanced at me then walked away.
He was. He was beautiful.
I looked at my schedule and decided to find my first class. I stood outside the door and looked in the class already had like six people in. Including him. I walked in taking a seat in the front.
As time passed people started walking in. A group of girls walked in. My eyes widen at the sight of them. It can't be. My high school bullies...
