Dear Diary,

It's two minutes before we welcome the new year. And I'm writing this with the biggest smile on my face.

Mom and Dad already met Ruel earlier. And they like him — so much that Mom already calls him "anak". And Dad? Usually he was passive-aggressive towards my suitors (you know how my father is, kaya marami ang umuurong). But with Ruel, he was warm and friendly. Biro nga ni Dad, ready na raw siyang ipaubaya ang unica hija niya. He never said that to my ex! And rightfully so, because that guy turned out to be a cheating arsehole. :/

Ruel van Acker really is a special guy. How lucky am I to be special to him, then? :)
