I Don't Deserve it

"It's finally over, I'm so tired after the martial arts earlier..." Itsuka relieved after getting below the stage.

'I hope that later I can amaze the judges. I'm very happy to have finished this. It felt as if the weight on my shoulders had been lifted. I'm grateful that Monoma will finally leave me alone, I'm a little tired of serving her character.'

Itsuka was currently relaxing and calming her body on a park bench near the campus, luckily not many people were there. she was alone in that place only accompanied by the wind that blew softly against her smooth white skin. Itsuka breathed in the air there feeling how fresh it was.

"I'd better come here often. The atmosphere is very calming and able to relax the mind..." Itsuka's monologue.

After feeling long enough to be in the park Itsuka finally decided to take a walk to see if there was anything he could enjoy later, but before that the girl with orange hair plucked a white jasmine flower and inhaled its fragrance.

"It's true, jasmine is a calming flower." As if she was in the middle of the beach with the sea and calm air, Itsuka inhaled the flowers again.

Then Itsuka stood up from her knees after picking the flowers and walked into a room. Yes, Itsuka was just passing through, in fact, who knows if there was something interesting she might be able to use for fun. May be.

Feeling a little tired Itsuka wanted to return to the backstage waiting room but before she could go any further she saw Monoma and Toga having a serious conversation near a cherry tree right in front of her.

Out of curiosity, Itsuka slowly headed there and hid behind the bushes. To hell with her clothes that could get dirty later, now this is more important.

Itsuka slightly poked his head out of the bush so she could hear clearly whatever the two of them were talking about.

"Actually why am I here?" Itsuka wondered to herself. Is it because she's too curious and also suspicious of Monoma who must have bad things if he's with Toga if that's not the answer then Itsuka doesn't know anymore.

The sound from near the cherry blossom tree made Itsuka stare at Monoma, luckily he couldn't see Itsuka, because Monoma was standing with his back to Itsuka with Toga beside him.

Monoma's sarcastic laugh opened the conversation between the two.

"I was very happy when I saw Uraraka's shocked face earlier when he found out that Kendo had used the thing she was about to show for talent earlier," the classmate's words made Itsuka almost scream in surprise but luckily she was able to restrain herself.

Itsuka couldn't see Toga's face but from her body movements it could be ascertained that Toga was taking a deep breath.

Itsuka refocused on listening to the two people's conversation.

"I... I'm not happy."

Surprised, Itsuka covered her mouth.

'what? Toga says he is not happy? Doesn't he like Ochako?'

"What do you mean? You gave me this information and you also wanted to embarrass Uraraka right?" Itsuka lowered her head even more when Monoma suddenly moved her body which was now facing to the side looking at Toga.

Again seen Toga sighed then the girl crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes, that was my original goal, but after thinking about it. Why would I do that? If only Izu-kun found out later he would be further away from me... Besides I can think clearly now... No way I can laugh at the suffering of others..." Toga explained.

Honestly, that explanation made Itsuka admire her, the girl named Toga Himiko did put Melissa's advice into her heart. Itsuka didn't expect Toga to change so quickly.

But Monoma's expression made Itsuka want to punch him, instead of being sad or guided he laughed loudly as if he was insulting Toga's words.

"You're repentant? Pfft- don't make me sick to my stomach from laughing. We both know you're the meanest when it comes to Ochako- I don't believe you!" Another sarcastic laugh came from Monoma's mouth.

"Hey..." Toga called.

Itsuka was curious about what Toga would do. She poked her head back a little to get a good look at what would happen next.

Itsuka's eyes widened when he found Toga's shocking thing, he stomped on Monoma's foot hard. Let's just hope that Monoma's leg doesn't break because it was stepped on so hard, especially when she's wearing pretty high heels, Itsuka knew it must be very painful.

"YOU ARE CRAZY!"

Toga didn't answer she just stuck out her tongue then left Monoma alone in pain there.

Itsuka wanted to help Monoma but he deserved it, it was good that he tricked Itsuka and made her feel very bad for Ochako Uraraka.

Itsuka decided to leave from there.

"What should I do now? If only I had known earlier maybe this wouldn't have happened, Ahk!" Itsuka pulled at her own hair as she walked. Luckily, when Itsuka wasn't paying attention to the road and was stressed like before, no one saw it.

Back in the garden where she was sitting earlier, Itsuka decided to calm down there.

Accompanied by green grass and also the breeze and beautiful flowers Itsuka tilted her head up to look up at the bright blue sky. If only he had known from the start.

"Heavens... Tell me what should I do... I'm confused. I feel so unfair to Ochako. That girl worked really hard for this competition, and I? I took the idea for her talent show instead.. . " Itsuka poured out her sighs on the sky and clouds, gazing gently at the clear sky once again.

Itsuka then sighed and turned his gaze to the flower that was swaying from being blown away by the gentle wind.

"Am I being honest? But if that's the case... i, I definitely won't win."

Itsuka's thoughts were racing now. Why does he win if someone gets injustice on top of his victory?

Yes. He had to be honest. He had to do it. But how to do it? Should he do that on stage? Or immediately tell the jury the truth in person?

Itsuka was very confused as to how she should say this? Itsuka didn't have much time if he had to say this before the announcement of victory.

"I have to go now!" He said then stood up and walked quite quickly to where the judges were gathered.

Before Itsuka headed to his destination he went to the backstage waiting room.

There he saw Ochako who was very restless and sad Ochako's sad face made Itsuka feel even more guilty. Luckily there was Tsuyu who calmed Ochako and made the girl smile again. Itsuka really felt sad seeing Ochako's face.

Taking a deep breath Itsuka rushed over to the judges' venue but that couldn't happen because the beauty pageant contestants were summoned onto the stage to find out who the winner would be.

**

In a cheer of the audience Itsuka took off the medal that had been hanging around her neck and then draped the gold medal around Ochako's neck.

Several people who were aware of what Itsuka was doing stared at the girl in complete shock. Including Neito who almost went up to the stage, luckily there was Tetsutetsu who managed to hold him back.

"Monoma, don't go on stage just yet. I'm sure kendo has her reasons for doing this. We'd better wait for her reasons."

Still rebellious. Tetsutetsu was forced to hit Neito's head, knocking him unconscious. "Sorry. But it's all for our good."

On stage now Itsuka had asked Mirko for a mic. It's clear that many questions will come out of the mouths of the people on the stage.

Many are wondering what Itsuka's actions mean, including Ochako who keeps asking thousands of questions about the reason Itsuka draped her medal on him, but of course Itsuka didn't answer the question. Better to do this all at once so everyone knows.

"May I have your attention for a moment?" The audience stopped cheering. The applause and screams stopped. There was only silence there.

All eyes were on Itsuka and her neck which was no longer clad by the gold medal that had just been given to her but now the gold medal was on the neck of the girl beside her, Ochako.

The confused gazes of the audience were very evident. Itsuka couldn't really blame them if they looked at him like that.

"Itsuka what is this? Why did you give your medal to Ochako?" Kayama asked. To be honest She was really confused by Itsuka's attitude. What did the girl think to give her medal to someone else?

Itsuka took a deep breath. "Nemu-sensei... I have my reasons for doing that." She said.

"Reason? What reason?" Ochako said as she tried to release the medal but Itsuka was held back. "You have the right to wear Uraraka. Don't take it off." Itsuka asked.

Trembling, fear, feelings of guilt, anger, irritation all came together and gnawed at Itsuka's mind and heart. He broke out in cold sweat. Once again he took a deep breath to calm himself down, luckily this method always worked for him.

"I can't accept the victory that should belong to someone else..." Itsuka's words made the whole room frown. What did this girl really mean? That's what they thought.

Itsuka continued, "... My talent show should be Ochako's talent show... Honestly I didn't know Ochako would use this martial art for talent show. Trust me if I had known I wouldn't have done it..."

The more confused Itsuka's words really made people who understand were shocked. "So you know that  Ochako Uraraka will use martial arts as a show of talent? And you still use it after knowing that? You really don't deserve to win! A petty person like you doesn't deserve to be on that stage!"

The words of one of the spectators were very piercing for Itsuka. It's true that he deserves to be humiliated like before but still hurts. Very ill. She felt like she wanted to cry.

Ochako's sudden movement of taking the mic from Itsuka's hand made the girl startled and looked into Ochako's eyes with a sad glint in them.

"You don't need to corner Kendo like that. I'm sure if she had known earlier she wouldn't have continued that martial art..." Ochako defended. Maybe Ochako doesn't know the real story, but from what Itsuka said, Ochako can conclude that Itsuka only found out about this after the beauty contest was over or rather when the judges were discussing the winner.

Itsuka smiled. Ochako is too kind. She was so angry with Neito, how could he be mean to a girl like Ochako? And even involve her too.

Sometimes Kayama and the others didn't understand the thoughts of today's youth but they knew that those children must have a lot of respect and love for one another.

Slowly Ochako took off the medal necklace hanging from her neck and then gave the gold medal to Itsuka, which Itsuka himself immediately refused.

Refuse to reject the gold medal that happened. Each assumed that they did not deserve to wear the medal. Itsuka, who feels bad for taking Ochako's initial idea and Ochako who feels that he doesn't deserve the gold medal, Ochako has to make Itsuka accept it.

"Come on Kendo you don't refuse! It's yours!" Itsuka again refused. She shook her head. "I can't. This thing should be yours. You should be the runner-up. Please..."

Nedzu came down to the stage seeing this problem that could be said not to play, he had to deal with it.

Whispering something into Hawks' ear, Nedzu knew what he had to do.

"Sorry everyone there's a bit of a problem so we have to take care of it first."

"See you later. Please who wants food later will be distributed."

The sponsor of the consumption was Momo seeing a lot of people who seemed hungry and tired Momo finally decided to buy food.

-

Serious talk ensued. Itsuka still refused to accept back the medal that had been given to him.

"Itsuka listen to me. You have all the potential that is standard for a Runner up. The assessment we take is not only from a talent show. But how you walk, answer questions and various other things. Not only that, most of what you do is covered."

Itsuka lowered her head. Did he just accept this victory? But what about Ochako? That girl worked really hard... Ochako also deserved this win.

Feeling a hand gently caress his shoulder Itsuka lifted his head. "You don't have to worry about me Itsuka. I'm sincere and my friends don't care if I lose later. They're happy if I'm happy..." As if reading her mind Ochako's words had a big impact on Itsuka's heart. "... So just accept it, you deserve it!" Ochako continued draping the gold medal back around Itsuka's neck.

Nedzu smiled not only that he had smart students but they were also kind and sporty.

The three judges were proud of this. "Come here..." Fuyumi opened her arms giving a code to hug the two girls.

Itsuka and Ochako immediately threw their bodies at Fuyumi and hugged Fuyumi. "Besides beautiful faces, you guys also have pure hearts... I'm glad to know this." Praise Fuyumi to the two.

-

It was finally decided that Itsuka was the second winner. Celebrations are held there. Laughter was heard.

It's just that there is one problem that Itsuka needs to solve, which is to finish off the person named Neito Monoma. Hopefully after this he can learn from what he did.
