SKYE and Flicker continued to walk together back home, along the way – the sun continues to set and dip down really low to tuck itself among the mountains. The clouds soon painter themselves something pink with a hint of purple and orange. Skies that held the brightest stars and distant planets turned into a soft gradient of purple to reddish-orange. The city itself slowly hushed itself as one by one, every people went to its home to rest to ready themselves for another day in a world where fighting and gearing forward will take you far. Animals such as birds and bunnies had went off to their respective burrows or nests to snuggle with their loved ones in peace and warmth. While the bird of the night, commonly known as owls – began to hoot a calm tune to brighten the silent night a little. Bats had probably now their wings spread out and had already taken flight into the night in search for food— something they can't do in the day. It was a peaceful stroll indeed for the two as they walk beneath the sun's almost dissipating shine – the only luster that's guiding them back home.
"This is my stop" The Cockapoo announces as the Look-Out tower came into view, with its noticeable red roofing, and really tall white pillar that encases the elevator that would lead them to their changing area and Look-Out proper. Flicker nodded as he looks at the tower ahead that stood there proudly that it got to host Adventure Bay's amazing – leading it to be the heroes' home. He was truly lost for words when he found out she was a part of the PAW Patrol— being the aviator and all; but what takes him to an extra mile of this amaze train was that she had somehow conquered her fear of Eagles. Something she reminded him a lot that she really fears them, and that one place where Eagles happily thrive is the skies itself, and her job is related to that sort. "I'm glad that you're safe" He smiles warmly as he looks down to find her smiling back at him too "And found a better life rather than being a puppet for fame" He jokes as he let's out a laugh. Skye did too but sounded forced and did it anyway for the sake to not make things awkward between them.
When everything felt like the coversation's ended, Skye decided to proceed back to the Look-Out. The tower slowly grew as she slowly stepped forward – it still was that one sight that never ceases to amaze her; no matter how long she's been here, it's still a surreal feeling if she views the Look-Out itself from a different angle. "Skye!!" Someone calls from behind, she turned her head to look back and found Flicker running back to her and had immediately wrapped his arms around her, the Cockapoo couldn't help but hug back after not feeling his warm hug for a decade more or less. It was that one feeling she kept wishing— a wish she felt that's impossible due to having her faith dissipate to nothing but thin air. But now, it was this day that her long time wish being granted. Despite of having sour feelings towards Flicker – having to do with thinking he never bothered to look for her. . . But when she's in his arms. . . What was that exact feeling again?
"Thanks for today again sis. I really missed hanging out with you" Then he kissed her head and had let her go "Let's do this some time. I gotta go now, see ya 'round!" After saying goodbye, he ran down the small hill and back to his home. Skye, still stood there in complete shock "How could I think such about Flicker. . . He's still that loving and caring brother I had back then. . . " She shook her head lowly in amusement and skipped her way back to the Look-Out— officially and for sure this time. As she slowly approaches towards her home, distant quarrels were heard not too far away from where she stood. Taking a small peak around the corner, she found Rocky and Zuma? Blinking her eyelids thrice, all she heard were their continuous bickering. That was definitely new. "What was in that head? Bweaking my suwf-boawd?! DUDE. I gave you my old ones and YOU decided to USE MY NEW ONE?!" Zuma yells as Skye found Zuma's new one hammered down with nails into Rocky's new invention "For the LAST TIME! I DIDN'T USE IT. Y'know what, y'know what. . . I'll make you a new one. Okay? Will that be better?" Zuma's face softens once Rocky had piped his voice down and offered to build him a new one.
Skye took a step back and had bumped into Rubble who obviously smelled like pup-treats "What made them fight exactly?" She says, emphasizing one word. Rubble, munching on the remaining treats that were still left in his mouth, tried his best to answers with a half-filled mouth "I know what you've heard's petty, but Zuma just bursted recently after finding out that his pup-house's trashed, and finding out Rocky apparently used his board just added up to that. And before you say how can you justify it was Rocky? To answer that, we ran a few tests – smell test, and appears that Rocky did went in there. And the surf-board thing? No idea" Skye's eyes widened at how much Rubble said within a few minutes. "I do hope his temper's cooled down now" She replies for the sake of feeling the need to say something to officially end their conversation. The English Bulldog nodded politely as he then said good night to her and walked back to his pup house. After he disappeared behind a yellow-painted pup house, Skye decided to get in and query why Rubble's sleeping early.
"Ryder?" She calls out as she found Ryder appearing with her bowl, aside from him, Marshall's still eating his dinner and Chase had just finished and was already walking to the exit without noticing her presence. The female Cockapoo wasn't the slightest bit bothered by it, she understands why he's probably acting that way and she knows that space is something both of them could really use right now. But what she promised to herself is she'll cross that boundary soon, they can't remain muted with each other since it could make mission less efficient and more messy with no communication. "Skye, you just came in the right time, I have your dinner with me" Ryder greets cheerfully as he sets it beside Marshall's – wherein there's still a happy Dalmatian munching it's food; "Why's dinner early, Ryder?" She began to question as she walked to her bowl in a neutral-paced manner "I'm going to Katie's to lend a hand. I don't want you pups to come though, you've done so much already and I'm sure rest is the best option tonight" Then he beams her a smile "I'll be leaving in ten minutes, be good okay?" He says as both Marshall and Skye nodded in affirmation before Ryder descended down to the basement.
Now that he's out of the room, the place immediately feel in hushed silence— well aside from the soft sounds of kibble being crushed into itty bitty pieces. She glanced her cherry-hued pupils to her friend and he's as quite as a mouse, well. . . Almost. "So. . . " She trails off, still testing the water if it was safe to sail off for a chat "Are you going to tell me what happened this afternoon or not?" Marshall stopped chewing then began to laugh genuinely? "Let me guess. No matter what I choose I'd still end up spilling it?" He sarcastically replies as he raises his one eyebrow with a smirk plastered on his lips "I don't take no for an answer as of the moment" She innocently replies with a smile similar to the aura she has right now, but the dally knew she's pushing his buttons and it didn't really bother him. He understands Skye's true intentions and in reality, she's just really looking out for him.
"Well. . . Let's just say I hate getting mad" He grins as he resumes to eat his dinner that's almost empty, while Skye's on the other hand is still noticeably full; upon Skye hearing his sentence, she was confused why he hates the idea of leaking that emotion. In her opinion, it is natural to let those negative emotions out because that's just how each animal and humans are built— created with its own unique traits, and is accompanied with the ugliest traits known to man. And for the record? Not one who stepped afoot on the rocky surface of the planet we all called 'Earth's has been really perfect. There's always this one or more flaws dotting us, even those seeming perfect ones. So why was Marshall stubborn to show that side? "But. . . Why?" She asks as confusion is clearly in her voice. Before the dally replies, he licked his bowl to officially end his meal by making sure it was spotless "Because once you let anger win over you, it'll take control of you, and there's nothing that could stop it but to sate its desire – vengeance most of the time" He then shrugs before he picked his bowl up and placed it with the other pile of bowls that's stacked up on a red toy wagon. "Wait. . . Wh—" Before Skye could complete her sentence, she was cut shortly by Marshall "The story behind it doesn't matter right now. What matters is finishing your dinner" He rolls his eyes, smirking as he caught her still not touching her meal. Her eyes widened at the sudden realization "R-right! Dinner. . . Thanks Marshall" She thanked, still a little embarrassed "Well, someone's gotten remind you cause I'm not waiting till midnight to wait for you" He shook his head lowly with a smile as he bit the handle of the wagon and began to drag it outside "Right, you usually wash them" Skye mentions as she watched Marshall drag the other bowls outside to officially wash them. "Just bwing thwem ouwfshide" He reminds, as he struggles to speak with the handle between his mouth "Yup, got it. Thanks again!" Skye says one last time before Marshall's officially outside the Look-Out and the only thing that separates him from her is the automatic glass-door that serves as the main entrance to their Look-Out.

It was finally that time of the whole day— night time. The outer-space sees that the city of lanterns were soon extinguishing themselves, even the little fireflies that stood in front of them. The faint noise that some cars made and a few people that were awake and strolling by soon faded into nothing but the pure silence of the hushed night. It was almost like the city itself was a human whose eyes were closed and nothing could be found but a few street lights that flicker creepily. The Mayor had already locked the entrance of the Town Hall and had already went to bed herself, of course along with her chicken she loves so dearly. Ryder and Katie were still up and about, cleaning the pet salon with only having each other serving as each other's company. All were really tired, and the pups couldn't dent that they feel the same. Who knew a bundle of hours felt so short, that you still long for the day to be longer, yet even if that was the case. . . How could it tire everyone so easily in their own ways? Who knew.
Some people or animal are still awake at this time, wondering the same thing. Or perhaps the same thought of questioning such things. That someone is Skye. The Cockapoo used the night to ponder about things before she would slumber peacefully in her pup house. In her opinion, the day was fast-paced and acquires a lot of energy and attention, verily much like the sun itself. Unlike the night, it feels slow-paced – the perfect time to take things slow down, and it only ever needed was to lay your head down and shut your eyes and allow your mind to do its thing. Even though the day and night seems to run the same way and uses relatively the same time, something about the scene of the night just begs to differ. As if the night itself embodies the nightmares that takes place during our REM sleep – it would feel like eternity, yet when our eyes move during a nightmare, its pace is the same as of that having a dream as well. Skye wished these were all just a nightmare, but if it was. . . Why does she get hurt?
"I saved you and everybody else. "
"She's just playing victim. "
"Nothing just clicks. . . "
