31: A Tipsy Kiss
I've decided to become a little more interactive with my readers because I really do want to know the lot you! So I'll add a question or two, or a "Can't Stay Tranquil" fact that no one knows about at the beginning of each chapter. You don't have to comment anywhere else if you don't want to, just answer the question and enjoy the rest of the chapter. I'll start with a fact and a question.
Fact: Yadiri was not suppose to exist, but diversity disapproved with me.
Question: What's your zodiac sign?
Answer: I'm a libra, bois!
PLEASE NOTE: before you go ahead to read this chapter I want you to know that I've nothing against smokers. I don't smoke, but I've a few friends who do. Whenever I'm around them while they're smoking, I feel just as high. The things said about smoking in this chapter is just for the purpose of story telling and character opinion, nothing personal.
With all of that said, do enjoy!
Chapter 31 - A Tipsy Kiss.
Oliver
After Kevin took all he needed from his dorm room on campus we took a shuttle bus back to my own off campus dorm. I could tell almost everyone was back without even checking.
We just went straight up to my room, changed off from our matriculation attires, and took a very much needed shower.
"Wow," Kevin stood in the middle of my room, gawking in awe at almost every direction. "You stay here alone? Like all by yourself?" He wondered.
"Yeah, why?" I chuckled, relaxing into my bed.
Kevin had taken a shower before me, I came out just minutes ago only to see him staring around like he still was.
"Don't you like, get scared or bored maybe?" He turned to me, raising an eyebrow. He was still standing in the middle of my room.
"Scared, never. Bored, sometimes," I chortled and grabbed a chocolate bar from my bedside table. "I'm an only child Kev, so I'm kind of used to these things you just mentioned," I informed him, shaking my head. "Care for some?" I gestured to the pile of chocolates on my table.
"Yeah sure, thank you," he mumbled after a while. Walking to my table, he grabbed a chocolate bar for himself and joined me on my bed. "First of all, this is like an actual home. It doesn't look like a student's flat, honestly speaking," he unwrapped it and started munching.
"You need to see Jessica and Yadiri's room next door then, it's even bigger and better than this one," I stated idly, going for my phone to check the time.
It was already 8PM. I could tell it was only a matter of minutes now before the party commenced.
"Wow," he awed again. "Lighthouse you called it?" He asked, lying on my bed with his stomach.
"Yeah, it's called Lighthouse," I confirmed, placing my phone back on the bed.
"It's fancy," he added shortly and I scoffed.
"You think everything about me is fancy," I rolled my eyes at him and gently smacked his back.
My hand was already hovering above his butt which was directly facing me, but I stopped myself at the last minute and went for the back instead. Kevin did seem completely comfortable with those kinds of jokes, and also very understanding of the spectrum, but I didn't want to cross unset boundaries.
"Maybe because it is," he argued, arching a brow at me.
I shoved him this time with my feet and we continued, mini-wrestling and giggling until a knock was placed on my door.
Stopping in my action and shooting my head in the direction of the door, a jolt made its way down my spine and my anticipation shot all the way up to the roof.
Making to get down from my bed and get the door, the person outside spoke up.
"Hey Oliver, it's Chris."
"Come in Chris," I called back, desisting from walking any further towards the door as he could let himself in. "The door is open," I added, plopping back down on my bed.
The door was gently pushed open and my eyes fell on Chris in his casual wear of just a tank top and shorts despite how cold the night was.
"Sup, mate," he greeted, closing the door behind him.
"I'm cool," I replied, waving.
"Hello Chris," Kevin greeted as well.
"Oh, Kevin is here?!" Chris cheered, walking up to him and offering him a handshake. "You convinced him to come. I thought you were going to attend one of those parties on campus."
"Firstly, those parties will suck real balls. Secondly, I would've just spent the whole night in my room if Olly hadn't invited me here anyway," Kevin pointed out.
"Oh," Chris voiced his realisation with a chuckle. "Well I'm glad you're here! The more the merrier," he cheered again, tapping his shoulder as he stood in front of the bed.
Kevin had sat up when he exchanged handshakes with Chris.
"The more the merrier," I supported.
"I hope you're fine with drinking because we're playing party games over bottles and bottles of beer and wine. Everyone is bound to get drunk, or at least a little tipsy. It's the fun of the party," Chris explained to Kevin.
"Why do you think I won't be fine with it?" Kevin directed the question to Chris with a frown on his face.
"Ummm…" he mused and ran out of things to say.
We all knew the reason Chris thought he wouldn't be fine with a night of mild debauchery, Kevin had the most innocent face an eighteen year old could have. That automatically made him a victim of being perceived as ingenuous with high moral standards.
"I uh- you… I mean," Chris continued to struggle with an answer.
"He's just making sure you are aware of what's going to happen tonight," I intervened, cutting Chris off.
He was already flushed red with embarrassment.
"Isn't that why I am here?" Kevin chuckled, wiggling his brows at Chris. I could tell he noticed the internal struggle Chris just went through seconds ago.
"So you're cool with it then?" Chris asked again, sounding a bit astonished and keen to hear a straight answer.
"I know I've this innocent face," Kevin sighed, caressing his cheeks with a proud grin and I just shoved him, causing him to fall back on my bed. "But I'm eighteen and in the university, I need to have fun while I still can," he finished with laughter in his voice.
We both joined him to laugh.
"Speaking about fun, when is this thing starting?" I asked when the laughter cleared from the air, making sure to keep my impatience out of my voice.
"Oh shit, I got lost. I actually came to call you and the girls down to the common area, we're starting," he informed.
"You should've led with that," I muttered to myself, shooting up from the bed and grabbing my things: just my phone and my keys. "Let's go?" I asked Kevin who was still on my bed.
"Sure!" He answered, sounding just as enthused as I was.
We stepped out and I locked my door. Heading down to the common area together, I recalled the last time we all spent time together there. It was more like me going there for pizza, but now I was going there because I so wanted to.
This time it was going to be a bit different from the last time, we were more in number and we'd gotten to know each other a lot more. There was also going to be alcohol. I couldn't wait.
Getting to the common area, I noticed there had been a few rearrangements since the last time; the tennis table wasn't where it used to be and there was an extra sofa in the room. The snooker table still stood at its usual spot though.
The girls and almost everyone, if not everyone, was here, all seated and ready. We walked up to them and Shirley's eyes lit up when they landed on Kevin.
"Oh my God, Kevin, you came?" She exclaimed, tapping him when we walked up to the sofa where she sat alone and joined her.
Actually, Kevin and Chris joined her, I sat somewhere else. Somewhere right next to Khalid.
"Yeah I did, Olly invited me last minute," he answered, glancing over at me.
Raising my shoulders and spreading my arms apart, a proud smile formed on my face.
"How was your day?" Khalid asked, tapping my arm.
Turning to meet his eyes which were already beaming at me, I answered.
"It was fine. I spent the day with my mum and Kevin, Mason joined us later," I replied idly.
"He's Kevin?" Khalid asked, motioning at Kevin who sat just opposite us. He made sure not to point at him though, as that would've been suspicious.
"Yeah he's the one, I-" I wanted to explain further but he didn't seem interested to know more.
"Kay," he shrugged and looked away.
Freezing and staring at the side of his head, I bit my lower lip nervously whilst trying to understand the reason why he might have reacted this way. I thought maybe because his day wasn't as fun-filled as he expected it to be. Aside from that, nothing else came to mind.
Everyone was talking with one person or the other, the girls for one. They were all seated on one sofa now, Shirley had gone to join them. They were giggling and whispering stuff to themselves. Shirley had told me she was a party games master so I assumed she was talking to the girls about the games she had planned for tonight.
Just then the big blue doors of the common area swung open and Alex entered… with a cigarette in his mouth.
Ogling and gaping at him, I couldn't believe my eyes. First off, smoking in the dorm was prohibited, it wasn't accepted by every student as some of them had health issues. Secondly, Alex really had me surprised by this.
He was many things but I never took him for a smoker. I guess he keeps surprising me every time. I wasn't against smoking though, hell, I had once been pressurised to take just one puff of weed at a party in highschool. I just couldn't see myself doing it casually or on a daily basis, so seeing Alex do it further confirmed his character for me.
For the rest of us actually, I wasn't the only one ogling at him.
Making his way up to us, he took a seat beside Patrick, his roommate.
We all kind of seized talking for a while, I wasn't sure if it was because of Alex or if it was because we were all here now. I hadn't even noticed that we were not complete earlier, I totally forgot about Alex.
"Is that cigarette?" Chris was the first to talk, asking what was probably on everyone's mind.
"No, it's not," Alex replied coldly, he most definitely noticed the change in the air when he stepped in, but being his typical self, he didn't seem to give a care in the world.
"What is it then?" Chris threw another question at him, sounding a bit annoyed this time. Alex was giving him dismissive answers and that wasn't fair, from my own point of view at least.
He puffed one more time, then sighed. "It's weed, okay?" His voice had gotten even colder than it originally was.
"Weed or cigarette, you know smoking is not condoned in lighthouse," Chris leaned forward. He looked ready for an argument but then again, Alex was always ready for an argument so this was going to be a problem.
"Yeah, so?" He sassed, shrugging and taking yet another drag, blowing everything into the air at once.
"So, you should stop before you bring troubles for yourself or the rest of us," Chris shot back, his fixed gaze darkening.
Honestly this time was different from the last time Alex and Chris almost had a word fight, I wasn't ready for this one. I wasn't even expecting this one, I hoped it wouldn't happen. I just wanted to get to drinking and dancing, that wasn't too much to ask for.
"You're not the one smoking, I'm the one, so don't worry, you're fine. You won't be in any trouble if we get reported," he brought the weed back up to his mouth and took another drag.
"I'm not the one smoking but I'm involved in the party, we're all involved in this party. Stop that now," Chris warned, his voice got deeper by the minute.
Alex snorted a laugh, "stop that now," he mimicked, "like I'd listen to you," he took yet another drag.
"Alex, I'm warning you," Chris hissed, the anger rising within him was visible as he tightened his jaws.
"You're warning me?" Alex coughed a laugh this time. "What is your problem?" He asked amidst the cough and smoke that escaped his mouth sporadically.
"What is my problem?" Chris yelled, leaning backwards and pointing at himself in false amazement.
Unarguably, I was behind Chris. If we were asked to cast a vote I'd definitely vote for Chris, not because I was friends with him and disliked Alex, but because I frankly thought he was right. Alex was violating the rules of the dorm, and that was unacceptable.
"Yeah bruv, what is your problem?" He repeated the question casually. "Get off my back," he took yet another drag to spite an already furious Chris.
"I swear to God Alex, I will—"
"Okay, okay, let's take a few steps back," Khalid interrupted him before he could finish wording his threat and, honestly, I was relieved. "We're all celebrating tonight, aren't we? If Alex wants to celebrate by smoking and drinking, let him," he gestured with his hands, trying to get the both sides to reason.
Khalid sent them looks to calm them down, albeit Alex seemed chill as ever. I could tell he was already a little above the rest of us, mentally. His mental state was already above the rest of us.
"Whatever, I don't even care. I'm just saying what's on everyone's minds, not everyone is comfortable around the smell of weed," Chris fell back onto the sofa. "It's not like I'm the one who's going to be in trouble anyway."
"Exactly, mate," Alex babbled, attempting to annoy Chris even more.
"Please just ignore him," Patrick— Alex's roommate— pleaded with Chris who tutted and shrugged it off.
Silence dwelled in the common area for a few more seconds. During this time I spared a glance at Jess, her eyes were fixed on Alex who kept smoking as nonchalantly as he could get. There was a dim glint of sadness in her eyes, the look in her eyes wasn't just disappointment.
This further proved to me that Jess truly cared about Alex, and I couldn't help but shiver at the thought of everything going downhill at the end.
"So!" Shirley shot up from the sofa she and the girls all sat on, flipping her hair swaggeringly. "We can commence this thing since everyone is here?" She suggested, looking at everyone before blowing a kiss to Chris. "Calm down babe," she added and blew another kiss.
"I guess so," I agreed.
"Yeah we can."
"Uh-huh."
Everyone else chorused an agreement, animated.
"But before we start, I strongly believe Mako should play for us," Justin spoke up, dashing out of Mako's smacking range, but he still got hit.
"Yes! That's true, you play the guitar, right?" Jess chirped, clapping her hands and turning to Mako.
"Uhhh, yeah. Yeah, I do," he replied, fiddling with his curls.
"You should play for us then!" She cheered, "right?" She added, turning to all of us.
Mako was insanely good, despite being a bit shy. But I'd noticed he always eased into his guitar whenever he was playing for an audience, and since that audience was just our group here in lighthouse, and a few others, easing into his guitar should be way easier.
"I'm not with my guitar," he stated, dropping his hands onto his laps.
"It's just an elevator ride away mate, go get it," Justin teased again. He was his roommate so he knew Mako's guitar was just up in their room.
"Shut up!" Mako made to hit him again but he dodged swiftly.
"There's no escaping this, just play for us. We want to hear you play," I requested, attempting to encourage him.
He stopped attacking Justin and took a deep breath. "Okay fine, I'll play," he got up from the sofa and straightened his shirt. "But that's only because Olly asked," he added, heading for the door.
Everyone started cheering but Yadiri mouthed an 'oh' and winked at me. Instantly understanding what she meant, I flushed and looked away, taking my eyes to Khalid who was still cheering.
When he left we all began talking and guessing what song he was going to play for us. I realised he was going to sing whatever he was comfortable with.
Minutes later he returned with his beautifully adorned, pink guitar. Taking a plastic chair by the side he sat beside the table in the middle and got ready to sing.
"Can we film you? Please?" Jess appealed, pulling out her phone and pouting at him.
"Ummm, I guess so. Sure," Mako mused, looking around.
"Yay!" She jubilated, turning to the other girls who quickly brought out their phones and started filming as well.
Striking a few strings and tuning his guitar, he cleared his throat and got ready to sing. He was aware everyone was staring at him.
He started vocalising and before he could even start wording the lyrics I knew the song he was going to sing.
"Oh, get up, up on the dancefloor tonight
I've got two left feet and a bottle of red wine…"
(Play the song now.)
He sang the pop song with such competence, easing into it and having the brightest smile on his face. It was hard to not acknowledge this kid's talent, just the smile on his face and his voice was enough to get rid of the bad atmosphere Chris's little argument with Alex had created.
He didn't even need to look at his guitar as he played, he knew exactly what he was doing. When he got to the chorus he sprung up from his chair and motioned for me to stand up and join him. I didn't even hesitate and we were shortly joined by everyone else who danced and clapped in rhythm as he played.
Strangely, Mako's eyes never left mine. He seemed like he was playing for me and me alone, and I loved it, I couldn't even complain. Clapping with the same rhythm as the rest of them and dancing with him, we got to the next verse and eventually the next chorus. Most of us who knew the lyrics joined him to sing the outro of the song. The girls filmed every moment of it.
We were all whooping and cheering while panting heavily when he finished the little extra routine he added to the end. He sunk back down into his chair, breathing heavily, but we all stood. Well, we all except Alex. He cheered as well but never stood up to join us. Mako deserved a standing ovation, he was spectacular.
After well over a minute of clapping and cheering we settled down and returned to our seats.
"See? I told you that was going to be fun," Justin threw an arm over Mako's shoulders, giving him a side hug. "That's how much I trust you," he added with a proud grin on his face.
"Thank you for trusting me, that really was fun," he admitted, smiling from ear to ear.
"Play some Melanie Martinez," Kevin shouted over everyone, drawing our attention to him.
Everyone in the room fell silent and I could see the embarrassment written all over his face.
"Umm, nevermind, I'm sorry," he muttered, looking down at his hands.
The room was still silent, no one exactly knew what to say, so it was proper to assume that Kevin gave all of us a dose of speechlessness. Above all, I couldn't let my friend take all the embarrassment so I decided to relieve him a little so he could enjoy the night like the rest of us.
"If you're gonna play Melanie Martinez for him then you're gonna have to play some BTS for me," I blurted then everyone in the room started laughing.
They were laughing at what I'd just said not at Kevin, I suppose I achieved my goal.
Sending him a look he winked at me and I winked back. Taking my eyes away from him they fell on Khalid's fixed stare. He looked away the second my eyes met his and forced a smile on his face.
"If I wasn't too protective I would've asked you out, but you're too cute and I'm too protective. I'll be jealous every second of the day," Yadiri joked, directing her statement to Mako.
"Woah, please don't ask me out. You're too good for me," Mako chuckled.
"On to the hunger games now!" Shirley sprung up and came to stand in the middle of all us.
We all cheered and agreed with her.
"Okay so this is how it's gonna be," she brought out two plastic cups and placed them on the table. Getting on her knees and filling both of them with beer she started, "We're playing rock, paper, scissors over beer filled cups, no slapping of hands this time. The loser will have to drink the entire content of the cup while the winner will go ahead to play with the next person until they lose and get to down a full cup themselve," she announced, placing more bottles of beer on the table for easy access.
"But rock, paper, scissors is a game of luck and chance," Kevin protested.
"Exactly, that's the point. Everyone will drink— some more than the others— before we proceed to dance floor games," Shirley approved. "That's fine by you, right?"
"Of course that's fine by him, he wouldn't be here if it wasn't," Khalid answered quite inconsiderately.
"Khalid!" I scolded, frowning at him. This was so unlike him, I couldn't understand why he was being so cold to Kevin.
"Ugh," he groaned, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Kevin?" He apologised to me, before apologising to Kevin who nodded timidly.
"So basically you're saying two people will start, then the loser gets to drink a whole cup and the winner goes ahead to play with the next person until they lose?" Yadiri inquired for all of us to clear things out.
"Exactly!" She got back on her feet and looked around. "We're one, two, three…" she pointed at each of us as she counted, "we're ten, plus me eleven. So the starting pair will be…" she dragged her speech to create suspense, "Mako and Oliver!" She announced.
"Oh why not start with Oliver," I murmured a fake complaint while standing up from the sofa and heading towards the table. Mako did the same, except without bemoaning like me.
The first round was won by me so he had to drink everything in the cup in one swig. I went ahead to play with Patrick, Khalid, and Kevin, I won against all of them. I was starting to feel invincible until Alex became my next opponent, I couldn't explain why but I failed, woefully, with shaky hands.
I suppose I was just uneasy playing with someone who had said such horrible things to me some days ago. Although I didn't care, seeing his face reminded me of his words.
Chugging down everything in the cup was incredibly difficult, I wondered how everyone, including Kevin, managed to get it down at once. Taking a few breaks to breathe I successfully downed the whole cup whilst everyone else chanted "chug, chug, chug" like we always did to boost the morale of the loser.
The fuzziness hit me even before the cup hit the table.
The whole concept of this game was undeniably fun, we'd gone a couple more rounds and at this point everyone had already lost over five times. When we were certain that we'd had an equal number of losses, Shirley introduced a new game.
The next game Shirley introduced consisted of songs and dancing so when we decided to conclude the game, we all just automatically went ahead to free styling with one another while drinking.
To say I was shocked when I saw Kevin going minute after minute to refill his cup is an understatement, I was beyond shocked.
Staggering up to him because at this point I wasn't so sure of myself anymore, I filled my cup as well. Kevin had however, given up on cups and was drinking directly from a wine bottle now.
"Seriously, Kevin, I can't believe you're the one drinking this much," I babbled, stumbling on my own feet as I poured for myself.
"You need to stop stereotyping me, Olly. I'm eighteen and this is the only time I get to be eighteen. So let me live like I'm eighteen even if it's for one night, mkay?" I tried my best to stop myself from laughing at him as he spoke. He looked so disoriented and it was just a beautiful sight seeing Kevin so drunk.
"Oh no, I'm not stereotyping you, I'm sorry," I walked up to him but I stumbled on my own two feet again and fell into his chest, spilling some of the contents of my cup on the both of us.
"Woah, hey, there," he caught me and held me up, "and I thought I was the highest in the room. It appears you're higher than me," he chuckled, drawing me closer with his one free hand, the other one held a bottle of wine.
"Don't kid yourself, you're the highest in the room. We're just following closely behind you," I swung an arm around his neck in a hug and started dancing.
He did the same. An arm around each other's neck, we danced against one another while drinking with our free hand. We continued like that for a while, dancing to the playlist Chris had made earlier for us. His playlist creating skill was commendable, each song that played lifted the mood more than the previous one.
Kevin could easily be the best straight, non-bicurious male I've met all my life and not just because we were both drunk and danced together.
We had gone back to refill our drinks but we still danced together. We yelled gibberish all in the name of singing. I was tottering from foot to foot joyfully with Kevin until I noticed Khalid leering at me. I chose to ignore it but a simple leer turned into a full stare, he just stood at the corner staring at Kevin and I.
The knot which had formed in my midriff caused a bellyache and it seemed like I was going to puke my guts out.
"Ke-Kev-Kev, I need a minute. I-I-I will be back in a minute," I slurred with a stammer, taking my hands away from his shoulders and walking falteringly towards the door.
"Okay, bro. Come back soon, I don't want to miss you too much," he gibbered, snickering to himself.
Everyone was so preoccupied with dancing or some other drunken activity, they didn't notice when I stumbled out, rather loudly, from the common area. Like Chris and Shirley, I'd lost count of the amount of times they kissed tonight.
Staggering back to the lift I heard fast footsteps behind me but I didn't care to look until a hand was placed on my shoulder.
I yelped and shot my shoulder away, losing my footing in the process and heading straight for the floor. Luckily I was caught just before I kissed the floor. That was the second time my bashed self was being saved from meeting with the floor in an unfriendly embrace.
"Easy," Khalid chuckled, "it seems you can't handle your liquor. I'm pretty sure I've taken just as much as you've, if not more, and still I don't look like this," he helped me back up on my feet.
"You can't fathom the amount of alcohol of which I've ingested tonight," I slurred, smiling sheepishly at him.
"I bet I can't," he laughed and let go of me so I could resume floundering on my feet. "Where are you going?" He called after me when I turned and continued walking towards the elevator.
"To get a drink of water, I feel sick. I just realised there's nothing there but bottles of alcoholic drinks," I chuckled, speaking over my shoulder.
"Yeah true. Mako and I decided against buying bottled water since most of us have that in our rooms," he explained, skipping up to walk beside me, assisting and preventing me from falling.
"I'm not complaining babe," I smirked at him. The last word left my mouth before I could realise what I was saying. This was Jess's fault, she was influencing me with the 'babe' syndrome.
"Oh, ummm okay," he mused, unsure of how to respond to what I'd just said.
The elevator ride was spent in silence, I didn't care to correct myself because 'babe' was a harmless word. At least I thought it was in my current state of mind.
Getting to my room, I fiddled with my hands and my keys, missing the keyhole countless times and letting it fall to the ground. Khalid got tired of my misbehaviour and snatched the key away from me, unlocking the door himself.
"Thank you," I muttered, running a finger over his chest before swaying inside.
He shuddered a bit under my touch and I couldn't help but laugh. Following me inside he slowly shut the door behind him. I walked straight to my fridge and got myself a bottle of water, gulping half of it down at once.
"Ahh," I exclaimed contently, "I was feeling nauseous down there," I informed him.
Khalid still stood by my door looking slightly impatient like he just wanted to get back down. I wasn't planning on keeping him here anyway, I didn't even ask him to help me up.
"If you want to go back down you can go, I'm not keeping you and I can handle how tipsy I've become," I voiced my thoughts. I didn't want him to feel like he was obligated to take care of me or anything.
"Yeah, I'm sure you can," he replied with a flat tone, rolling his eyes at me.
"Did you just roll your eyes?" I gasped gently, placing a hand over my mouth.
He just shrugged and looked away from me, completely avoiding my question.
Returning what was left in the bottle into the fridge, I walked up to him.
"Your attitude has been quite sour tonight," I stated plainly to him. He still didn't turn to look at me, I sighed and continued. "You know I think I've an idea of what the problem is," I snickered, licking my lips.
"No you don't," he blinked rapidly, digging his fingers into his thick, full hair for a few seconds. "Can we head back down now? It seems you're done," he gestured to the door, walking towards it.
"If it's because of Kevin and I, I'll have you know we're just friends. I'm not attracted to him either physically or emotionally, not that he's not attractive, he is, but he's more like the brother I never had. So don't see our friendship as anything else, it's just bromance," I blurted all at once before belching.
Pinching my nose shut and contorting my facial features into a frown of disgust at the smell and taste of my own breath, I didn't notice Khalid's wide eyes until later. A slight wrinkle formed between his eyebrows and he sharpened his gaze down at me.
"What-what are you saying?" He tried to speak firmly, but that didn't go so great for him.
"I'm saying I've noticed the way you've been staring at me all night, not that I'm offended though," I added the last part with a chuckle, grinning widely at him.
"How drunk are you?" The frown fell from his face and his expression just turned hollow, I couldn't tell if he was flustered anymore.
"Shit, I don't know," I exhaled loudly, rubbing my eyes. "I'm sorry," I apologised, looking around.
"Okay? Well let's rejoin the party, but this time please take less," he instructed with a smile, turning towards the door.
That beautiful smile that always mesmerises me every time it's being directed towards me. I got a glimpse of his muscles through the transparent blue t-shirt he wore, which was now drenched with sweat and hugging his beautiful, tanned muscles. My eyes went down to his firm buttocks and that was when I realised I was about to mind rape Khalid… again. This should be like the zillionth time I was doing that.
I was done mind raping the innocent young man, I was fed up with it. I needed the real deal, the actual taste. I was done letting my imagination run wild although it was doing a really good job. I wanted Khalid, all of him, and if he didn't want me to I needed to find out for myself. I was done guessing and hoping.
"Wait!" I called out abruptly. "Umm wait, before you-we go, ummm..." I sounded calmer this time but I trailed off.
The action I had in mind was one I would've discarded the very second it popped up if I was in the right state of mind, but I wasn't in the right state of mind. I was a bit far from sobriety and the liquid courage of alcohol propelled me to go ahead with the idea in my head.
"What's the problem?" He asked, eying me and taking a few steps towards me. "If you're feeling sick you can just shower and sleep, you don't need to push yourself. I'll tell the others you've gone to bed."
"Oh no, no," I chuckled nervously. "No, I'm not feeling sick at all. Actually, I'm feeling the opposite of that," I took short steps towards him.
"Then what's the—"
Before he could finish his statement I threw myself into his chest, stumbling for two reasons; the way he caught me made me shudder, and my head was too woozy to handle such fast movements. The sound of his soft grunt when he caught me only excited me even more.
"You're so lightweight. Just a few bottles of beer and you're this drunk," he chuckled, grabbing me by my arm and making to pull me away from his chest so I could stand on my own.
"Just hold me," I mumbled a protest, squirming and sinking deeper into his hold. I didn't care that he was a bit sweaty, I loved the smell of his sweat anyway. I loved the smell of everything about him.
This was the first time I'd been so close to Khalid, I could hear his heart thudding inside his chest. "Your heart is racing," I mumbled again, smiling shyly. "So is mine."
He hesitantly held me for a few more seconds. I could tell he was fighting with himself inside, very likely thinking of what next to do. I didn't have to think much, I had something in mind and I was seconds away from doing it.
"Okay we need to head back down now, I-"
Before he could finish, I pulled back from his chest, got on my ten toes and pressed my lips against his.
I kissed Khalid and I was loving it.

AN: if you're expecting me to say something about this chapter... Well I will! I'm screaming just like you're screaming right now so don't feel weird for screaming lol. Okay that's all I'm going to say, let's see how things go from here on out.
On another note *drum roll* my other book "Dakyres of Ardor" is finally complete! So if you're looking for some good YA fantasy/BL action make sure to check it out! You can read it until the next update! I promise you'll enjoy it, but I was must warn you, tear inducing elements abound!
Do check it out if you like my writing. It has almost everything in it: suspense, thriller, mystery, fantasy, you name it! Lol
Till next time loves, stay happy and stay safe! <333
