07: Chocolates for You
Chapter 7 - Chocolates for You.
Oliver
My phone fell to the ground and so did his as I bumped into his chest which felt like, if I must say, the kind of chest I always admire in pictures of underwear models.
"Oh God, I'm so sorry," I apologised, picking up our phones and handing his to him.
Khalid stood in front of me, tall, handsome and beaming down at my flustered self. I just now realised the huge, very significant height difference between the two of us. My head met with his chest which meant I was at his shoulder level, over a foot shorter than him.
I spent the next few seconds feasting my eyes on him; he had thick full black hair, his brows were perfectly arched at the edges and they were full but not bushy, his jawline made me blink more than once attempting to clear my vision, is this even possible? his soft, brown coloured eyes looked like pools of honey whenever he smiled and the light hit it just right. His face was just perfection but amongst all of these features were his lips, those flawless lips just sat at the base of his face, pink and intoxicatingly shaped. I couldn't help but imagine what they felt like as they stretched in a fine pattern whenever he smiled.
He was a bit ripped with an adequate build; thick arms and judging from how hard his chest felt, I could confirm he had a nice build with a complete set of Abs. I couldn't stop myself from thinking about his hamstrings and how beautiful his thighs might be but I had to, I was going too far and I was gawking, a few more seconds and I'd probably start drooling from my slightly opened mouth. I felt the heat as it rose from my neck to my face leaving redness behind and my lower half started getting excited as my briefs tightened around my crotch. I blinked a few times removing his naked image from my head.
I just stripped him naked without his consent.
He held out his hand taking his phone from me and helping me up.
"No no it's alright, we were both distracted by our phones," he stated putting it into his pocket.
"Well there goes our generation, lost in social media and devices" I replied which caused him to chuckle.
"Oh a motivational speaker?" He asked raising his brows at me as he smiled.
I chuckled and clicked my tongue, nodding my head from side to side, "trust me I'm not, if I was I'll be motivating people to sleep for twenty-two hours a day and spend the other two watching anime while living only on chocolates," I replied.
"Well we do need to sleep don't we? People will listen to you," he replied, nudging my shoulder gently but I still staggered where I stood.
Where did all my stamina go?
"Are you heading out?" He asked me, pointing in the direction of the elevator.
"Yeah I am, it's Saturday. I need to go grocery shopping, I've been living off junk food."
Mostly chocolates.
"I noticed, those boxes of chocolates? God you do love chocolates don't you?" He asked putting emphasis on the word chocolates.
I did LOVE chocolate; chocolate cake, chocolate bread, chocolate bars, hot chocolate, chocolate flavoured ice cream, chocolate coloured guys. Good God I honestly felt like I had some kind of fetish for chocolate.
"I do love chocolate, but I can't live on chocolate alone so, grocery shopping" I said spreading my arms out beside me with fake enthusiasm, I didn't even know how I was gonna get to the supermarket.
"I'm going to the supermarket, wanna come with?" He asked me.
Oh God yes! I wanna come with, at least I won't have to walk alone.
"Yeah sure," I nodded as I started heading towards the elevator. I stopped when I noticed he wasn't following me instead he was going back down the hallway towards the rooms. "Khalid?" I called out his name like a question and gave him a question mark expression when he turned to look at me.
"Oh I forgot my car keys, I'll be right with you," he said before he skipped down the hallway and disappeared into the other one that led to him room.
He has a car? What a way to put chocolate spread all over my bread.
I followed him to the garage behind the building where his car was parked and I watched him as he opened it and got in, I stood outside for a while admiring the car, it didn't look new, incredibly adorned or extravagant but it was clean and well maintained, I couldn't tell the exact model of the car because I sucked at knowing cars but I could tell it was a Toyota. I got into the passenger's seat tearing my eyes away from the neat vehicle after he called my name and informed me to get in.
The drive to the supermarket was approximately only twenty minutes long, Khalid played his favourite artist throughout the drive while we made small talk about school and whatever. He parked in an empty space as we both got out of the car and stepped into the large self service store. He grabbed a shopping cart for the both of us handing mine to me just before we parted ways after coming to a conclusion to meet at the snacks section.
I dived straight into shopping for fresh and preserved food products, I picked out all the things I needed at least the ones I could actively recall. Thinking about it I should have made a list but I tried to get around everything from eggs to fruits and whatnots. I looked at my cart making a mental check just to be sure nothing was left out, then I headed for the snacks section.
Khalid was already there he had mostly toiletries in his cart but he'd already started adding snacks, he picked up bags of chips and different brands of chocolates. The amount of chocolates he bought made me jealous, I was really tempted to buy chocolates too but I barely had enough money to cover what I had in my cart, that's if I only wanted to exhaust the exact amount I set out for grocery shopping, so I just picked up a single pack of maltesers and added to my cart since it wouldn't make much difference.
He made jokes about how I couldn't resist temptation, I couldn't stop my mind from wandering, instantly misinterpreting what he said.
I can resist temptation, but not when the temptation is someone like you.
We paid at the check point, my cart emptied into four bags while his emptied into just two and this was because he told the checkout lady to put his chocolates in a different bag. I ended up carrying his two light bags and he got my four heavy ones. He opened his car, we put the bags into the back seat before entering the front and he drove out of the supermarket's parking lot.
On our way back to our dorm Khalid kept playing through the car speakers, I bet he has listened to all of Khalid tracks by now.
"Who's your favourite artist?" He asked getting my attention as if knowing what I was just thinking about.
The very question got me struck with amazement, mostly because he was interested to know and I'd never really thought about having a favourite artist.
Or maybe he's just trying to make small talk, I always tried to remind myself of the not so positive alternative of things, especially when my feelings were involved.
"Wow," I sighed, thinking, "I don't know, I really don't have a favourite artist. I like a lot," I replied.
He laughed softly while shaking his head, "people like you can spend an entire country's yearly budget in a month."
"I can if it's one really broke country, to be honest," I joked shrugging. I did love buying new things even though I wouldn't need them in the long run but I wasn't impulsive or extravagant, I hope.
"Okay what's your easiest top three artists," he reworded his question.
"I love EDM, I like acoustic, I love alternative and so many other genres, so which is it; my top three electronic DJs or my top three alternative artists?" I asked with a teasing tone to my voice making him groan out of frustration as I looked at him from the corner of my eyes, giggling.
"Just put them all together, then bring out your top three from each genre," he replied, letting out the laughter he was trying to hide behind feigned annoyance.
I thought for a moment before I started, "well... Illenium, Billie Eilish and SYML, there's Said the Sky, Marshmello, Daughter, the list goes on but you requested for three so," I replied. "I can't tell you the order in which they appear on the list because I don't even know myself." I wasn't satisfied with the list so I added, "oh Troye Sivan, Rita Ora, Jeremy Zucker..."
"Okay okay wow," he cut me off, "I'll just take the first three in the order you mentioned them, but Billie Eilish though?" He asked with a look of disapproval on his face as he still faced the road, concentrating on driving.
I expected that, so I just looked at him from the side of my eyes pretending to not see the look on his face and also pretending to not know why he asked that. "What? She's awesome," I replied, trying to stifle my laughter.
"Yeah I know, she made a song with Khalid for 13 reasons why, but Billie Eilish being number two in your top three?" He asked tipping his head to the side, scrunching up his face in absolute disapproval.
I scoffed once, then twice before bursting into laughter, I couldn't hold it in anymore.
"What? I don't have to be a girl to love Billie Eilish," I said in between laughs, "I adore BTS by the way," I finished totally expecting what came next.
"OH NO!" he gasped, which caused the both of us to laugh loudly now.
I did love BTS, a lot.
We made little jokes here and there till we got to our off campus dormitory and he drove in. We took our bags out of the car before he locked it, he let me carry his two light bags as he took mine before I could reach it. He claimed it was like a tradition between him and Chris where you carry the other person's bags after going grocery shopping together no matter how heavy it might be. I laughed at him whining about how Chris always buys things in abundance which makes his bags really heavy.
We went up to our floor in the elevator and walked down to my room, I unlocked my door and entered then motioned for him to come in as well. He dropped my bags on the floor close to my table as I dropped his on my table, he took in the view of my room and I just watched him, realising it was his first time in my room.
"Nice wallpapers, I see you're an Otaku" he said pointing at the many anime wallpapers plastered around the walls of my room.
"Hai" I replied as I took my bags and started putting the groceries into the fridge "I see you're a Khalid fan" I asked teasingly. He just scoffed as he walked around my room taking closer looks at the wallpapers.
Yes I know they're beautiful, I love them too.
I finished stacking the perishables and the preserved food and beverages into the refrigerator putting the nylon bags away. I sat on my bed first then laid back, heaving a long sigh as I felt a cold chill go down my spine.
I'm not the only one this happens to, I'm not abnormal. I always tried to assure myself.
He followed suit, pouncing on my bed taking up the space beside me.
"Soft and hard at the same time, one word... comfortable" he said with a sigh getting more comfortable as he wiggled on my bed.
I tried so hard to keep dirty thoughts out of my head, getting an erection now would be greatly inappropriate. We just sat there for a while, staring at the ceiling until he spoke.
"You don't have a Tele?"
I turned my head to face him but he was still staring up at the ceiling, I could see his impeccable facial structure so clearly and closely now. I just felt the urge of running my fingers down his face, feeling everything as I go, rush over me.
Ugh! why do I feel this way?
I pushed those thoughts aside as I turned back up to face the ceiling, although I still spared glances at him from the corner of my eyes. I did catch him doing the same but I then realised it was because he was waiting for an answer to his question or maybe trying to check if he asked something that might have offended me.
"No, not yet at least. My mum said I can get one after this semester" I replied.
"Oh mummy refused, how old are you by the way" he asked absent-mindedly.
I just stared at him, it took him a while before it came to his notice that I very likely did not want to answer the question.
"I mean - s-sorry, it's not because of the TV or anything, I-I just want to know, you don't have to answer... if you don't want to" he said nervously, sitting up on the bed now.
"I'm seventeen, turning eighteen in two months time" I replied a little amused by his nerves.
"Oh so you'll be an adult then, I turned twenty last month" he smiled.
I just stared, why is he still a freshman? he spoke up, clearing me on things with the next thing he said.
"I stayed at home for a year after I graduated from highschool and the educational system in Dubai is quite different" he stated, standing up from my bed making me sit up.
He picked up his bag leaving the one with the chocolates behind, I just kept my gaze on him, transfixed.
"You don't think I bought these chocolates for myself now, do you?" He furrowed his brows at me like I was confused at something very simple and obvious "enjoy them" he finished with a smile on his face dragging his glorious lips as they parted exposing a spotless, unblemished dentition.
I couldn't help it as I grinned and clapped continuously "wow Khalid!" I got up from my bed, almost hugging him.
Phew nice save.
"Thank you so much" I said. I couldn't explain how I felt at that moment but Khalid's loving nature got me loving him.
"Yeah sure, you're welcome" he flashed me that beautiful smile once again before he opened my door and left.
Well this was a well spent Saturday, I thought to myself as I immediately pounced on the chocolates on my table.
