chapter 7 - Weaponized

Outfits in the external link

From 4.06 "Orphaned", in the clinic, Brett laid on the table, seizing and shaking, a yellow substance covering his mouth.

Derek and Tara stood over him, trying to hold him down.

Malia: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"

From 4.06 "Orphaned", in the school hallway, Derek, Tara and Malia were talking.

"We know a little something about this pack," Derek told her.

From 3.21 "Foxes and Wolves", outside Oak Creek, Satomi let her eyes glow gold.

Derek: (voice over from 4.06 Orphaned) "Their Alpha is a woman named Satomi."

From 4.06 "Orphaned", at Lookout Point, Derek, Tara and Malia stood at the site of dead bodies.

Derek: (voice over from 4.06 Orphaned)"They have a kind of secret meeting place in the woods."

Tara stopped when she heard faint breathing, looking toward where a hand reached up from the ground, covered in blood. She ran closer, kneeling next to only one left alive, barely at that. "Derek! It's Braedan." Derek ran closer. Malia followed. Tara looked at them from over her shoulder. "She's alive."

From 4.06 "Orphaned", in the bus pit, Garrett was threatening Natalie. "I know you'd do anything to get Liam back, including doing everything I say."

From 4.06 "Orphaned", in Stiles' room, Lydia and Stacie were sitting at the desk at Lydia's laptop.

Stiles was pacing. "So, what if the third key is someone who isn't dead..."

"But will be," Stacie finished.

Stiles slowly walked behind Lydia and Stacie, standing over their shoulders.

Lydia closed her eyes, focusing. She slowly typed in a name into the box. She opened her eyes.

Derek.

Stacie slowly shook her head in denial.

From 4.06 "Orphaned", in Meredith's room at Eichen House, Meredith was lying on the floor with a noose around her neck.

Brunski untied the noose.

Jordan: (voice over from 4.06 Orphaned) "Lydia, Meredith's gone. She hung herself."

From 3.19 "Letharia Vulpina", in Adriana's car, Adriana was in the driver's seat.

Lydia was in the passenger seat.

Allison and Natalie were in the backseat.

Adriana held out her phone to show them the picture of Peter.

Lydia held her phone next to Adriana to show Malia's picture next to Peter.

"Peter and Malia?" Allison asked.

"Father and daughter," Natalie answered.

From 4.02 "200", outside the school, Scott and Stiles were walking together.

"I mean, you haven't told Tara that Malia is Peter's daughter, have you?" Stiles asked. "That Malia is Tara's cousin? And Derek's, for that matter."

"We got to tell them, Stiles," Scott told him.

"Yeah, I know," Stiles told him. "I don't know how."

From 4.06 "Orphaned", in Scott's room, Scott, Stiles, Stacie and Natalie sat on the floor, looking at the money bag in the middle of them.

"We should probably count it," Stacie told them.

Stiles and Scott each took a side, letting the money spill onto the floor.

A cassette tape fell with it.

Natalie picked it up, flipping it over.

It said, "Play Me".

Natalie looked at Scott, Stiles and Stacie in confusion.

Flashback

Day - Quarantine Tent Laboratory

A small plastic quarantine tent sat within in a larger tented laboratory.

The small tent was surrounded by a circle of powdered Mountain Ash. There was growling coming from within.

A lab coated man walked, sitting at a work table, beginning to make notations. He drank tea.

Inside the smaller tent, a Werewolf, oozing black goo from his eyes and mouth, reached out feebly with a clawed hand.

The man pressed play on a cassette player.

Man: (on tape) "After entering the IP address you will be connected through a dark net portal to an untraceable bank. Once logged in enter your account number to receive wire transfers. The IP address will deactivate..."

Now

Same Night - Day One

Night - McCall House - Scott's Room

Natalie walked into the room, in a change of clothes instead of the clothes that she had nearly died in while searching for Liam.

Scott, Stiles and Stacie were still sitting on the floor next to the radio that was playing the tape and the money from Garrett's bag.

Man: (on tape) "With each transfer. You'll be assigned a new IP address if you choose to continue down the list. Remember visual confirmation is always required for payment."

Stiles hit pause, looking at Scott, Stacie and Natalie. "Ever made a wire transfer?"

"Never had enough money," Scott answered.

"So you didn't understand a word of that either," Stacie told them.

"I don't understand any of this," Scott admitted. "Why would someone use all this money just to kill us?"

"Someone wants you dead, dude," Stiles told him. He looked at Natalie. "All of you. Badly." He gestured to Stacie. "So bad that they're willing to put Stacie's head on the chopping block to kill Scott and Ari, and me, all at once."

Scott started to put the money away.

"Whoa, what are you doing?" Stacie asked.

"It's late," Scott told them. "We've got the PSATs tomorrow morning."

"You three do, I do not," Natalie told them. "I still have another two years to worry about that."

"And I meant the money," Stacie told them. "The $500,000. You know how much money that is?"

"It's $500,000," Natalie told them in a duh voice.

"It's half a million dollars, Natalie," Stacie told her. She looked at Scott. "What are you going to do with it? Just slide it under your mattress?"

"I have to give it to Derek and Tara," Scott told them. "The money's theirs."

"You mean theirs and Peter's," Natalie told him.

"What does that mean?" Scott asked.

"It means we should proceed with caution," Natalie answered.

"You don't think we should tell Derek and Tara?" Stiles asked.

"No," Natalie answered. "No." She sighed, turning away. "No, of course we have to tell them, I'm just... I'm just saying some of that money's Peter's, right?"

Natalie turned to face them.

"Yeah," Stiles answered.

"Right," Natalie told them. "Peter. Homicidal killer. Remember? You guys want to give half a million dollars to him?"

"We should give Derek and Tara their money," Scott told them. "But not Peter?"

"I didn't say that," Natalie told them.

"Natalie, what are you saying?" Stacie asked.

Natalie exhaled.

They heard a banging from the hall.

Stacie stood in surprise, standing next to Natalie.

Natalie turned to face the door.

Stiles and Scott immediately slid the money under the bed, standing up next to Natalie and Stacie, looking at the door.

Malia opened the door, drenched from the rain. "We found Satomi's pack. Derek, Tara and I. But they're dead."

"All of them?" Scott asked.

"All the ones we found," Malia answered.

"Then where're Derek and Tara?" Stacie asked.

Malia looked at them, sighing.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Emergency Room

Macey was dressed for work.

Ari and Adriana were with her, both wet from the rain.

"Look, I'm not saying that I don't get why Natalie would go along with Garrett's plan to save Liam," Adriana told them. "I just mean, that I don't get why Natalie didn't just ask for help."

"Probably because he told her he would kill Liam," Ari answered. "He used the fact that she's falling for him against her as leverage. That's what evil people do, Adriana."

"I never did that, and I was pretty bad, Ari," Adriana told her.

"Then you weren't completely evil, were you, Adriana?" Macey asked. "Adri, I meant what I said earlier." They looked at her. Macey smiled. "I am very proud of you for how far you came from that. Enough that you're willing to help us save everyone that we can, Adri. It proves that you weren't all the way gone, Adriana."

They smiled small smiles. Hearing the doors to the ER open, they looked down the hallway.

Derek and Tara brought in Braedan. They were soaked from the rain.

"She's been shot," Derek told them. "I think she's dying."

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Outside

It was pouring rain.

Deaton was locking up. He sensed someone behind him, whipping out a telescopic baton weapon, turning to fight a person in a black coat, swinging the baton. The hooded person ducked, holding what seemed to be a metal six-inch spike. Deaton swung his baton toward them. The hooded person raised the spike to block the move. Deaton swung toward them. The hooded person spun out of the way. Deaton tried to hit them with the baton. The hooded person raised their spike to block the move. Deaton swung toward them. The hooded person ducked, spinning out of the way, swinging toward Deaton. Deaton spun out of the way, swinging the baton toward them. The hooded person raised the spike to block the move. They stopped sparring.

Deaton bowed. "You could have called, Satomi-san."

Satomi spun the spike in her hand, pulling back her hood, letting her eyes glow red, smiling.

¤•¤°¤•¤

There was a black wolf with red eyes.

Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.

Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke, hitting the ground. Tyler Posey.

Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.

There was a hand held high with a claw on each finger.

Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.

Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.

Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.

Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.

On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.

Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring. Dust was falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.

On Derek's back, a triskele appeared.

Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.

Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.

A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.

A black wolf howled.

Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.

Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.

Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.

On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.

The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.

Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

Day Two

Morning - Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

Students were in line to take the PSATs.

Stacie, Malia, Stiles, Scott, Adriana, Angel and Kira were standing together.

"Where're Ari and Lydia?" Kira asked.

"They took it their freshman year," Stiles explained.

"Does that mean I could've taken it some other time?" Malia asked.

"Malia, you studied harder for this than any of us," Scott told her.

"That doesn't mean I'm gonna do good," Malia told them.

"Well," Stacie corrected.

Malia looked at Stacie. "Well, what?"

"It's do well, not good," Stacie answered.

Malia looked like she wanted to hit Stacie. "God!"

Stacie looked away. "Okay."

"You're doing this," Adriana told her. "Because while we're trying not to die, we still need to live. Why am I the only one that seems to remember that?"

Scott shook his head, looking from Adriana to the rest of them. "If I survive high school, I'd like to go to college. A good college."

"It's only three hours," Angel told them. "We can survive three hours."

Classroom

(Song:) Weigh True Words - I Break Horses

Each student was required to place their fingerprint on their answer sheet.

The security measure was an effort to keep students from paying others to take the test for them.

Adriana took her test, looking at Lydia's mom/Ari and Adriana's aunt. "Hey, Aunt--"

"Adriana, how many times do I have to tell you this?" Nicole asked. "In school, it's Ms. Martin. How do you always seem to forget that?"

"Oh, I don't forget," Adriana answered honestly. "I do it solely to piss you off, Aunt Nicole."

Nicole gave Adriana a sarcastic look.

Adriana smiled sweetly, putting her cell phone in the envelope she held, going to take a seat.

"Cell phone in the envelope, Scott," Nicole told him. "You'll get it back after the test."

Scott put his phone in the envelope, coming to sit in front of Adriana.

Malia and Stiles sat together.

Adriana and Stacie sat together.

Angel and Kira sat together.

Stacie opened the test booklet.

(Song Ends)

The lab coated man from the beginning walked in. "Please do not open the test booklet until you are instructed to do so." Stacie closed the booklet, putting a pencil between her teeth. "This test is two hours and ten minutes. There will be two 20 minute critical reading sections, two 20 minute critical math sections, and an essay-writing portion that will last 30 minutes." He looked at Nicole. "There are supposed to be two teachers monitoring this exam."

"I know," Nicole told him. "It's Coach. He's not exactly punctual. Um, let me just try him again."

Nicole walked out, leaving.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hallway

Nicole walked into the hallway, pulling out her phone to call Coach, hearing the phone ring from down the hallway in Coach's office.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Coach's Office

Nicole walked in to find Coach unconscious at his desk.

Coach looked sickly and pale, sweaty.

Nicole believed that he was drunk, sighing. "Oh, no." She closed the door, walking toward Coach, trying to wake him up. "Hey, get up." Coach groaned in his sleep. "Hey. Oh, Bobby. 15 years sober and you fall off the wagon at school? Coach, look at me. It's Nicole." Coach muttered in his sleep. Nicole sighed. "Forget it. I'll bring you some coffee during one of the breaks. 15 years, Bobby."

Nicole walked out, leaving.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Classroom

The students were still waiting to take the test.

Nicole walked in, looking at the 'Chemist'. "I can't find him. But Mr. Yukimura is upstairs grading papers. Do you want me to try him?"

"We have to start," the Chemist told them. "We can ask for his assistance during the first break." Nicole nodded. The Chemist started the timer, looking at the class. "You may now open your test booklets and begin."

(Song:) Somebody New - Joywave

Everyone opened their test booklets and began.

Stiles had two pencils in his hands and one in between his teeth, continuously writing.

Scott, Kira and Angel were working calmly.

Adriana bounced her leg, tapping the pencil in the air between her fingers silently, reading a question. When she found the answer, she bubbled it in, tilting her head in boredom.

Malia took off her jacket, looking around at the other students nervously.

Stacie looked totally sidetracked, blinking, looking up, sighing, dropping her pencil, holding her head with both hands, obviously worrying about what would happen to Derek after Lydia had found out that the third cipher key was Derek's name and it meant that Derek could die.

A girl sitting next to Scott fell from her seat, onto the floor, making everybody look back at her.

(Song Ends)

Nicole walked toward the fallen girl. "Sydney." She knelt next to her, helping her up. "Sydney, are you all right?"

"I'm okay," Sydney answered. They stood. "I just... got kind of dizzy."

Nicole looked at the lesion mark on Sydney's wrist. "Sydney, how long have you had this?"

Sydney shook her head. "I don't know."

"Ms. Martin, do I need to stop the test?" the Chemist asked.

"Uh, no," Nicole answered. "Um, it's--it's fine." Sydney sat down. Nicole walked to the front of the room. "Everybody stay in your seats. I'll, um, be back in a minute." Adriana tilted her head forward in confusion. Nicole grabbed her cell from the desk, looking at the Chemist. "Nobody leaves the room."

Adriana watched Nicole walk toward the door in confusion.

Nicole stopped at the door, looking at Adriana, walking out, leaving.

Scott, Stacie, Stiles, Malia, Kira and Angel looked at Adriana in confusion, because it was her aunt that was acting weirdly.

Adriana shook her head to tell them that she didn't know what was going on, just as confused. She looked at the lesion mark on Sydney's wrist.

It was the color of a purple, spotted bruise.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Coach's Office

Nicole immediately walked into Coach's office to check his wrists, but there was no rash on his arms. She lifted his shirt, finding his back was covered with large red and white welts, exhaling in disgust.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hallway

Nicole walked into the hallway, looking horrified. She took out her phone, dialing a number.

Teenagers walked into the school from down the hall, chatting.

Nicole ran toward them. "Get back! No! Do not come in here! Get back outside!" The teenagers walked out, leaving. Nicole closed and locked the doors. Everyone from the classroom walked out in the hall. Nicole looked at them. "Get back in your seats. Now. Please."

Everyone started to walk back inside.

Scott, Stacie and Stiles looked at Adriana, following the class back inside.

Adriana looked at the classroom, walking toward Nicole. "What's going on?"

"Adriana, please, just listen to me," Nicole told her worriedly. "You'll know soon. Okay?" Adriana hesitated a long time, seeing how serious and worried she looked. She nodded, walking toward the classroom, inside, closing the door behind her. Nicole made a call on her phone. "I need the number to the CDC."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Classroom

Adriana was still standing at the door, listening.

She heard Nicole's voice. "Yes, the Center for Disease Control."

Adriana looked up in shock.

¤•¤°¤•¤

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hallway

The students were in the hallway, looking down the hall.

Nicole was standing in front of them.

The CDC walked in, wearing yellow hazmat suits, carrying yellow briefcases.

Everyone watched them go.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Classroom

The CDC put these arches all over the classroom, rolling blue beds inside. They closed off the arches with plastic. They had a big blue tube surrounding the arches.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Sheriff and Jordan arrived to the scene.

The outside of the school was also being covered in plastic to quarantine the school.

Sheriff and Jordan walked toward a woman.

"Excuse me," Sheriff told her. "Can anyone tell us what we're dealing with here?"

"Hopefully a false alarm," the woman told them. "The details provided have concerned us and your local health authorities enough to order a quarantine. We're going to need your help ensuing that no one gets in or out of the school."

"My son and daughter are in there," Sheriff told her.

"So is my niece Angel," Jordan told her.

"Is this gonna be a conflict for you?" the woman asked.

"Conflict?" Jordan asked. "No. Stressful? Yeah."

"All right," Sheriff told her. "What happens now?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Inside - Classroom

Adriana, Nicole and Sydney were in one of the quarantine arches.

Sydney was lying down.

Nicole put a blanket over Sydney, looking at Adriana. "We isolate the sick and wait for instructions. If I'm wrong, they'll be out of here pretty quickly and then I'm the crazy Biology teacher who panicked for nothing." She stepped closer to Adriana, placing a hand on her cheek. "And I really hope I'm wrong."

Adriana smiled a little. "Guess we're lucky Ari and Lydia already took the PSATs." Nicole tilted her head at Adriana, smiling a small smile, walking out, leaving the arch. Sydney looked nervously at her hands. Adriana looked at Sydney. "Hey." Sydney looked up. "You're gonna be okay."

"It's not that," Sydney told her. "The PSATs, the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship. My parents can't afford to send me to college without it."

"I'm sure they'll let you take it again," Adriana told her. "You're gonna get the scholarship, go to college and living it up and kicking ass." She tilted her head, smiling. "Academically and metaphorically."

Sydney smiled, laughing. "You always give big, inspirational speeches?"

"You have no idea," Adriana told her.

Sydney and Adriana smiled.

Adriana walked out, leaving.

¤•¤°¤•¤

PSAT Classroom

Stiles, Scott, Stacie, Kira, Angel and Malia were standing together, talking.

"Bet they're thinking smallpox," Stiles told them.

The Chemist was nearby. "Not likely." They looked at him. "Smallpox was eradicated worldwide in 1979. We've only managed to completely eradicate two viruses in history. The other was riderpist. It killed cows."

"So we should be comforted by that, right?" Stacie asked.

"Unless it's something worse," the Chemist answered.

"Whatever it is, they're taking it pretty seriously," Scott told them. "There's a lot of cars and trucks out there." He looked at Stiles and Stacie. "Your guys' dad is with them." He looked at Angel. "So is your uncle, Angel."

Angel walked toward the envelopes with their phones. "We should probably call them."

"Don't bother," the Chemist told them. "They would have shut off all access to outside communication by now. No cell service, no WiFi, no one starting a panic. Looks like we'll all have to wait here and see what happens."

Stacie looked at Stiles, Scott, Kira, Angel and Malia, mouthing, 'Creepy.'

Kira, Angel and Malia nodded in agreement.

They looked toward the Chemist.

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom

Satomi and Deaton brought in one of her sick male Betas into the room, lying him on the table.

"How does it begin?" Deaton asked.

"With fever," Satomi answered. "Then shifting becomes uncontrollable. Fangs, claws, even full, unwarranted transformations. We moved into the woods when that began. Then it progressed faster and faster. They couldn't stand. But worse than that was this sudden blindness."

"Total?" Deaton asked.

Satomi nodded. "They couldn't see a thing." Deaton shone a light into the man's eyes. "From there, they had only a few minutes left."

Deaton stood. "I'm going to be honest, Satomi. We need to get him to a hospital."

"That's never really been an option for our kind," Satomi told him. "Unless you know something I don't."

Deaton shook his head. "Not something. Someone."

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

The elevator doors opened to reveal Macey in her doctor clothes.

Macey walked into the hall, past the people in the hallway.

Braedan's Hospital Room

Braedan was lying unconscious in her bed.

Tara was sitting at her bedside.

Derek stood by the door. "Tara, she tell you anything?"

"No," Tara answered. "She's been out."

"Do you think it was Kate?" Derek asked.

"Most likely another assassin," Tara told him. The door opened behind Derek. Derek turned to face Macey. Macey walked past Derek. Tara stood. Macey walked toward the IV, injecting a needle inside. "What is that?"

"Naxolone," Macey answered. "We need her to wake up."

"I thought you said she needed to rest," Tara told her.

"That was before I found out the CDC just put the high school under under quarantine with Angel, Malia, Kira, Scott, Stiles, Stacie and Adriana still in there, Tara," Macey replied, looking at them. Derek looked immediately worried. Tara was in shock for a second. Braedan suddenly woke, sitting up abruptly with a gasp. She looked around, dazed and confused, groaning. "Braedan. Braedan, look at me." Braedan looked at her. "You were shot, but you're in the hospital now and you're fine. Do you understand?" Braedan looked at Macey, nodding. "Good. Okay, last night, you were in the woods. And you came across another pack. Do you know what happened to them?"

"But we told you they were poisoned," Derek told her.

"No," Braedan told them. "No, they were infected. It was a virus designed to kill Werewolves. And it did. It killed them all."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Girls' Locker Room

Adriana was still fully clothed, letting the shower water pour over her, leaning against the wall in front of her, drenching her over-heating skin with the ice cold water.

Nicole knocked on the translucent door. "Adriana? You've been in there a long time. You all right, honey?" Adriana didn't answer. Nicole knocked again. "Hey, you need to be back with the others."

Nicole knocked again. She kept knocking.

Adriana looked up at the wall, completely drenched, trying to cool down, trying to calm down. She could barely breathe. She felt like she was going to lose control. She was feeling like she was sick. Or dying. She had her canines out, growling quietly, tracing the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist, hoping that it could help her stay in control.

Martin Lake House - Study

Lydia was kneeling in front of the record player and the speakers.

Ari walked in.

Lydia looked at Ari. "How did you know I'd be here, Ari?"

"Do you really need an answer to that?" Ari asked.

"No," Lydia answered, looking down at the Eichen House box in front of her.

It read: MEREDITH WALKER. Destroy all contents if not claimed

Ari exhaled. "It wasn't your fault, Lyd."

"Still," Lydia whispered. "Ari, I... I should've done..."

"No, hey, I get it," Ari told her softly, walking closer, slowly kneeling next to her. "You shouldn't be alone right now. Not just because of the dead pool. But because of..." She looked at the box. "Her."

"Good," Lydia whispered. "Because I don't think I can do this alone." She looked at Ari, looking at the box. Ari knew what she meant, lifting the lid, setting it on the floor. She took out a bottle of perfume, setting it on the floor. She took out a dead bouquet of yellow cardnations, setting it on the floor. She took out a black and white picture of Meredith and a teddy bear, setting both on the floor, the teddy bear covering the picture, blocking it from view. Lydia looked up to the record player. She hesitated, looking at her cousin. Ari nodded. Lydia sighed, starting to play the static on the vinyl. "All right, Meredith. I'm not sure how to do this. I'm not a psychic. Apparently, I'm not much of a Banshee, either. But I'm trying to help my friends. I don't know if you can hear me. Or, uh, what I'm supposed to ask you. But if I have this thing, it's got to work some of the time. It's got to help someone." There was a long silence. Ari looked down. Lydia took a deep breath. "Maybe what I really wanted to say was..." She pressed her lips together. "I'm sorry. I wish I could've helped you." She let a tear fall. "I'm sorry, Ari."

Ari reached forward, pulling the needle off the vinyl.

Lydia let another tear fall, leaning her head against Ari's shoulder.

Ari held a hand to Lydia's head comfortingly.

Lydia and Ari sighed, looking at the record player.

They let a long moment of silence pass by to honor Meredith Walker, Banshee.

Lydia took a deep breath, lifting her head away.

Ari sighed. "Come on." She started to put the things back in the box. "Let's get out of here." Lydia picked up the picture, standing up in confused shock. Ari looked up at her in confusion. "Lydia?"

Lydia looked at the picture. She looked at the wall like she was comparing it. She showed Ari the picture. "Ari, this picture of Meredith was taken in this same room."

Ari took the picture, seeing that the black and white image showed the edge of the record player, the wall outlet, and the sconces inside the study in the Martin Lake House. She stood in shock.

Lydia and Ari looked at each other in confusion and surprise.

Beacon Hills High School - Boys' Bathroom

Ken walked in. He saw that Scott was leaning against the sinks, having trouble with his own transformations.

Scott kept his back to him. "Where're the others?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hallway

The CDC was doing blood tests to make sure no one else was sick.

Kira, Angel and Malia stood in line.

"Kira, Angel?" Malia asked. Kira and Angel turned to look at her. "Do you ever get the feeling that Scott, Stiles, Stacie and even Natalie aren't telling you everything?"

"What do you mean?" Angel asked.

Malia forced a smile. "Like they hide stuff."

"I... think that if they did, they probably have a pretty good reason," Kira told her.

Malia sighed. "Do you know what they're hiding in the bag under Scott's bed?"

"What?" Angel asked. "No."

"We've never been in Scott's room, let alone under his bed, or in his bed," Kira told her.

"Kira, stop talking," Angel told her.

Kira nodded in agreement. "Yeah. You're right, Angel."

A woman in a yellow CDC hazmat suit stood in front of them. "Kira Yukimura." Kira turned to face her, walking closer.  "You feeling all right, Kira?" Kira nodded, looking nervously at the needle. The woman smiled. "I don't like needles either. But I promise, it'll be fast."

The woman cleaned Kira's elbow, sticking the needle into the vein.

Electricity literally crackled out of Kira's body and toward the woman, shocking her, making her drop the needle and turn away.

The other CDC handling the blood tests behind her waved more CDCs over, and they took the woman who got shocked down the hall and outside.

"Kira," Angel told her. Kira didn't answer, in shock. "Kira!"

Angel and Malia pulled Kira out of the hallway.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

The people in the yellow hazmat suits walked outside.

Sheriff and Jordan walked closer.

"Excuse me," Sheriff told them.

"Careful doctor," Jordan told her. "Slowly."

The woman pulled the suit off.

"What happened in there?" Sheriff asked.

"I don't know," the woman told them. "Must have been static electricity."

"Any breach of the interior layer, doctor?" a man asked.

"It's okay," the woman told them. "It just broke the top layer."

Raphael walked closer. "Any verdict on what we're dealing with yet? My son's in there."

"Your son, his daughter and son, and his niece," the woman told him. "Great. You can debrief each other."

The CDC people walked away.

Raphael looked at Sheriff and Jordan. "I heard smallpox. Any truth to that?"

"You want my opinion?" Jordan asked. "I don't think the Orphans were the only professional killers in Beacon Hills."

Inside - Girls' Locker Room

Adriana was still drying from the completely-clothed shower. She was sitting down on the bench. Her eyes were flickering from full-colored purple to full-colored red, to naturally-colored, everyday, human blue.

Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Malia, Kira, Angel and Ken stood nearby.

"It's still happening," Ken told her.

"It's like what Ari's were doing when the doors were open, right before she would lose her strength," Scott told her.

They looked at Stiles, Stacie, Malia, Kira and Angel.

Malia held up her clawed hands. "I can't make them go back."

Ken looked from Malia to Scott to Adriana. "Obviously, the virus is affecting the three of you in a way it won't hit any human being."

"You guys have to stay out of sight," Stiles told them. "We have to quarantine you from the quarantine."

"Yeah, but where?" Stacie asked. "I mean, what if they get violent like on the full moon?"

"We shouldn't stay in here," Angel told them. "Not in a locker room."

"A classroom is not going to hold us," Malia told them.

"What about the basement?" Kira asked.

"Too many ways in," Scott told them. "We need something secure. Something where nobody can find us."

"The vault," Stiles told them. "The Hale Vault."

"The Hales always have an escape route," Stacie told them. "Like their house. There has to be another way in."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Coach's Office

Angel, Kira, Ken, Stiles, Stacie, Malia, Adriana and Scott stood around the desk.

Ken rolled a blueprint of the school over the desk for them to see.

"Okay, this is where the school sign is, so the vault'a gotta be somewhere right around here," Stacie told them.

"I suppose if there's a second entrance, it'll probably be accessible from the basement," Ken told them.

"It's probably somewhere in this hallway," Stiles told them, pointing at the map. "The west corridor."

Stacie started to fall, unable to stand.

Stiles and Malia held Stacie up.

Ken looked at the lesion marks on Stiles and Stacie's wrists. "It's happening to the two of you, too. You're getting sick. You all are." He looked at Malia, Adriana and Scott. "The three of you are losing control of your transformations." He looked at Kira. "You're lashing out with electricity."

"I don't feel sick," Angel told them. "Nothing's happening to me."

"I think it's affecting you differently, neurologically, Angel," Ken explained. "I found your test answer sheet in a pile with the others."

Ken showed Angel her answer sweet.

All of Angel's "answers" were circles next to the questions, not in the bubbles.

Angel looked confused, obviously having not remembered doing this.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Basement

Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Adriana, Malia, Kira and Angel walked downstairs into the basement.

Stacie looked at a shelf. She turned away. She turned back, moving an object to see the lock. "Hey, guys, over here." They walked closer. Stiles and Scott moved the shelf to reveal the entrance. "Look at the cracks on the wall. It's like the entrance outside. It only opens with claws. Anyone's claws, right?"

Scott looked at them in confusion.

Adriana looked subtly back at Malia.

Hale claws to open the Hale Vault.

Scott nodded, looking at Malia. "Malia, can you try?"

"Why me?" Malia asked.

"We don't have control," Adriana answered half-truthfully.

Scott held up his hand with no claws, unable to grow them.

Adriana held up her hand. The claws were just like the flickering eyes. Went out, went back in not a second later. She was unable to stop them.

"Okay, I'll do it," Malia told them. "But first, tell me what you've been hiding from me."

Stacie looked down, scratching her head.

"What?" Stiles asked.

"I know you're trying to protect me, but I can handle it," Malia told them. They didn't answer. A long moment of silence passed. "I know I'm on the list."

Stacie looked at Scott, Stacie and Adriana in relief, looking at Malia. "Yes..."

"So, how much?" Malia asked.

"How much what?" Stiles asked.

"How much am I worth?" Malia asked.

"Four million," Adriana answered.

Malia looked down, processing.

"Are you okay?" Stiles asked.

Malia looked up. "Yeah. Scott, Ari and Adriana are worth 25 each. Kira, six. Angel, seven. Angel's uncle, seven. Natalie, 10. Tara, Derek, 15. Lydia, 20. Stacie has the price of Scott and Ari on her head. They'll take you guys out way before me."

Angel raised her eyebrows.

Malia walked around them to the entrance.

Stacie looked at Scott and Stiles. "That's progress. That's progress."

Malia put her claws in the cracks, turning it to the right, then the left, then the right again.

The circle entered the wall, the entrance sliding open.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Vault

Adriana, Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Malia, Kira and Angel walked into the Hale Vault.

The door slid closed behind them.

They looked behind them at the door, turning to look over the vault.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Melissa, Macey and Deaton laid the sick Beta on the gurney.

"This isn't happening at the school, is it?" Melissa asked.

"School?" Deaton repeated. "It's Saturday."

"They're taking the PSATs," Melissa explained.

The Werewolf sat up weakly, black blood over his lips and chin.

"I think we need to hurry," Satomi told them.

They pushed the gurney to the elevator.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Elevator

Melissa and Macey stood in front of the gurney, Deaton and Satomi.

Melissa repeatedly hit the Level 2 button.

The Werewolf's head tilted to the side. He sighed, exhaling for the final time as he died.

They all heard, pausing sadly.

Satomi quietly sobbed at yet another death of her nearly extinct pack.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Vault

Scott was sitting down.

Adriana was leaning against the safe.

Angel was pacing.

Kira was looking over the shelves.

Stiles was holding Malia.

Stacie stood, looking at the safe. "You know, this is where it all started." They looked at her. Stacie pointed at the safe Adriana was leaning against. "That's where the money was." Adriana turned her head to look at it. "200 million in bearer bonds."

Kira was looking at a jar of mushrooms. "How do you even change bearer bonds into cash?"

"With a bank, I guess," Adriana answered. "They just let it sit here the whole time collecting dust.  You know, bearer bonds are basically extinct."

"Why does it matter?" Angel asked.

Stacie raised her eyebrows. "Angel, you know how many problems that money can solve?"

"For you?" Angel asked.

Stacie looked at Stiles. "For us and our dad. The Eichen House and MRI bills are crushing him."

"My mom does this thing," Scott told them. "She writes down all the items in our budget, and how much they cost, and she adds it all up and figures out how long we have until... we lose the house."

They looked at each other sadly, sighing.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Outside

Lydia, Ari and Natalie ran up to Sheriff, Jordan and Raphael, but a couple of deputies held them back.

"Sheriff!" Ari called. Sheriff, Jordan and Raphael looked toward them. "Sheriff!"

"Whoa, whoa, hey, I know these girls," Sheriff told them, walking closer. "Let them in."

Lydia, Ari and Natalie walked toward Sheriff, Jordan and Raphael.

"My mom and Adriana are in there," Lydia told him.

"Scott, Stacie, Stiles," Ari told them.

"Kira, Angel and Malia," Natalie finished. "What's happening?"

Jordan sighed. "We're working on it."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Vault

Scott and Adriana stood by the door, listening to the sounds outside.

Stacie and Stiles were standing next to them.

Kira and Angel were sitting on the floor next to each other across the room.

Malia was lying down on the floor alone.

"Anything, Adriana?" Stacie asked.

"Ari, Natalie and Lydia just got here," Adriana answered. "And everyone's looking for us. Somebody's gonna have to go out there."

Stiles and Stacie had to go.

"We need to tell her the truth about Peter," Scott whispered. "She's going to see the rest of the dead pool eventually. So is Tara. I mean, we have no idea if Tara and Derek even know that Peter ever had a daughter."

Stiles stepped closer. "Try to remember that Peter's is the one name missing from that list. Which makes him incredibly lucky with the Benefactor. She finds out about him, she's going to go to him. You know she is. And he's going to twist his way into her head like he does with everyone. Including us. We let him walk around like nothing even happened, like he's one of the good guys. Scott, he's not one of the good guys. If she finds out about him, she's gone. That's probably what he's waiting for. He wins, we lose."

"We're already losing," Stacie told him.

Adriana held up her hand. Black blood was dripping down from her fingertips.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Morgue

Deaton, Melissa and Macey stood around the Werewolf's body on the table, wearing goggles and cloths over their mouths..

Satomi was standing nearby.

Macey was using a saw, cutting into the Werewolf's skull, folding over the skin to look inside, to find out what was happening and if there was a way to stop it. Melissa and Deaton stood next to Macey. They looked inside.

Deaton looked at Melissa and Macey. "I think I know what this is. Unfortunately, if I'm right, and Scott, Adriana and the rest are infected, it's not good. They're going to die without an antidote."

Melissa and Macey looked down in worry.

Hale Vault

Malia was laying down and sleeping when Stiles woke her.

"Malia," Stiles told her. "Malia."

Malia sat up weakly. "Mm."

"I gotta leave with Stacie for a few, okay?" Stiles asked.

"Where are you going?" Malia asked.

"Whatever's happening, it's worse for you guys," Stiles told her. "And it means it's not just people getting sick, it's another assassin. But they need to see at least two of us so they're not suspicious." Malia sighed, breathing heavily, holding his hand. "Here."

Stiles gave Malia his jacket.

Malia sniffled. "You're coming back, right?"

"Yeah," Stiles answered. "Yeah, I'd never leave you behind."

Malia smiled. Stiles kissed her forehead, standing, letting her hand go. Malia cried, laying her head down.

Stiles and Stacie stepped outside the vault in the hall.

Stiles looked back at Malia as the door slid closed.

Braedan's Hospital Room

Braedan was sleeping.

Tara was sitting down in a chair next to her.

Braedan woke up, clearing her throat, looking at Tara. "What are you still doing here, Tara?"

"Protecting our investment," Tara answered, propping her feet up on the railing, referencing the Italian. "Got a lot of money riding on you."

Braedan smirked. "Is that a reference to Italian boots and tables, to 'Girl's gotta eat' or 'If the money was good enough, I'd kill the four of you'?"

"All of the above," Tara answered.

"Where's Derek, Tara?" Braedan asked.

"Coffee run," Tara answered.

Melissa knocked on the door, opening it. "Tara. I think there's someone here you've been trying to find."

Satomi stepped into view.

Tara slowly stood, in shock for a moment.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Outside

Lydia, Natalie and Ari were talking alone, looking around to make sure no one was around to listen.

Ari looked at Lydia. "Lydia, do you have any kind of indication or any of feeling about this?"

"Is someone in there gonna die?" Natalie asked.

"Yes," Lydia answered. "And it's not just a feeling, Natalie."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Morgue

Deaton, Melissa and Macey stood next to the wolf's body.

Satomi, Tara and Derek stood nearby.

"It's a variant of canine distemper," Deaton explained. "A few years ago, an outbreak in Yellowstone killed 40% of the wolf population."

"What's it gonna do to our wolf population?" Macey asked.

"Well, it's been altered to affect quite a bit faster," Deaton told them.

"You mean it's been weaponized," Derek told him.

"The infection took my whole pack," Satomi told them.

"Everyone except for you," Deaton told her. "That's the real question. Did you not get infected or are you immune?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Classroom

Stiles and Stacie walked into the classroom with big arches, walking toward Nicole

"Stiles, Stacie," Nicole told them. "Neither of you are looking so good. Maybe you should lie down."

"It's okay," Stacie told her. "Have you seen Mr. Yukimura?"

"Yeah, he's fine," Nicole answered. "He's helping the other students."

"Okay," Stiles told her. They turned to walk away. They saw Coach in an arch, turning back to Nicole in confusion. "Is Coach the only adult that got sick today?"

"As far as I know," Nicole answered.

"Why him?" Stacie muttered. "Why is he...?"

Nicole spoke slowly. "Stiles. Stacie. I think you should lie down."

"Yeah, it's okay, we'll be right back," Stacie told her, grabbing Stiles' arm, running toward the door. "If Coach's the only adult that got sick, then he had to have had something to get him sick, just like the rest of us."

"His office," Stiles told her.

They walked out of the room.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Morgue

Deaton, Melissa and Macey stood next to the wolf's body.

Satomi, Tara and Derek stood nearby.

Macey was covering the wolf's head.

Derek looked at Satomi. "If your pack was infected, then who was doing all the shooting at the edge of the woods?"

"Probably another assassin," Satomi answered. "Personally, I'd rather face a gun than a variation of smallpox."

"Sounds like you're gonna get plenty of chances," Melissa told her.

Satomi looked at Tara.

Tara looked at her weirdly.

"Sorry, Tara," Satomi told her. "I just noticed how much you remind me of Talia. You look just like she did when she was younger." Tara looked down. The compliment actually made her feel a little bit better. "I used to visit her a lot, you know." Satomi looked at Derek. "You were old enough to remember." She looked at Tara. "But you, maybe not. Do you remember me, Tara?"

"I remember you taught me a little about the game of Go," Tara answered. "And I remember the tea. You always brought the tea that smelled weird."

"Tara, I brought the tea as a gift," Satomi told her. "Your mother loved it."

"What kind of tea was it?" Deaton asked.

"What?" Satomi asked.

"The tea with the smell," Deaton told her. "What kind was it?"

"Reishi," Satomi answered. Derek looked up in recognition of the word. "Wild purple reishi. It's very rare."

"It's also a very powerful remedy for sickness," Deaton told her. "Satomi, you didn't get affected because you've been inoculated."

"Okay," Macey told them. "Okay, how rare is it? Can we find it?"

"We don't have to," Derek told them. He looked at Tara. "Our mother kept some of it. It's in our vault, Tara."

"And I know where it is," Tara told them. She looked at Derek. "I saw it that night when we were in the vault with Kate."

Derek nodded to her. "Tara, go. I'll be right behind you."

Tara nodded, turning around, running out, leaving.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Vault

Angel and Kira were sitting together.

Kira looked weak and sweaty, looking at Angel to see that she was getting weaker, too. "Are you okay, Angel?"

"I'm doing better than you are," Angel answered, reaching out to take Kira's hand.

Kira took her hand away. "Angel, don't. The electricity..."

Angel took Kira by the hand, getting shocked in the process, but it didn't seem to bother her. "It's okay. It doesn't hurt."

"My dad also said that the sickness is affecting you neurologically," Kira told her. "Your brain might not be registering the pain."

"Yeah?" Angel asked. "Tell me if this hurts."

Angel slowly, softly kissed Kira. A spark of electricity passed between them, but it didn't hurt either of them. They pulled away.

Angel opened her eyes, revealing that they were glowing a deep, fiery gold.

Kira looked at her eyes in surprise.

Adriana was watching them from the other side of the vault, sitting down, smiling a small smile.

Malia rolled over, reaching into Stiles' jacket pocket, pulling out the last list, starting to unfold it.

The list that had her name as Malia Hale, not Tate.

Malia sat up, about to read it.

Scott started to stand weakly, trying to stop her. "Malia..." Malia looked at the list, but didn't show a reaction. "Malia?"

Malia looked up. "I can't see. I can't see anything."

Adriana's vision was blurring. She held up her hand in front of her, turning it. It blurred, twisting.

They were all losing their sight.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Coach's Office

Stiles was going through the shelves, pushing everything to the floor, turning to the drawers, going through the drawers.

Stacie went through, over everything on or in the desk. Papers on the top. The drawers on the side. Everything. She sat down in defeat, sighing. "Nothing."

"Me too, Stacie," Stiles told her. "It'd help if we knew what we were looking for." He hesitated, putting his hand over his mouth. "It'd have to be something only a student or a teacher could've gotten the virus from. The only teacher that got sick was Coach, the rest were all students. No one else."

Stacie looked down at all the permission slip/liability release forms on the desk.

There big red stamp on the side saying "Approved".

Stacie flipped through the slips.

The red ink was fading.

The last four slips had big, bold black stamps instead of red.

Stacie looked at Coach's coffee cup with a black thumbprint on the side with realization. "Stiles. It's the the stamps, the black stamp pad for the test. Coach got it too."

Flashback - Earlier That Day

Each student had to put their thumb in a stamp pad for the fingerprints, putting it on the answer sheet.

Now

Night - Beacon Hills High School - Coach's Office

Stacie stood in realization, turning to face Stiles.

"Stacie, that means..." Stiles trailed off.

"The new assassin is that creepy PSAT guy," Stacie finished.

They heard the Chemist's voice. "I was wondering how that idiot got sick." Stiles and Stacie jumped, turning to face him. Stacie gasped, dropping the mug, backing away from him. The Chemist had a silencer gun. Stiles stood in front of Stacie protectively. "I'm also wondering where your friends are. Since, in order to get paid by the Benefactor, I'm going to need to have proof that they're dead."

"Visual confirmation," Stiles told him.

The Chemist aimed the gun at him. "Exactly." He looked at Stacie behind Stiles. "But even if I have proof you're dead, I have proof Scott McCall and Ari Martin are, the latter not being in the building. But I still need proof for Adriana Martin, Kira Yukimura, Angel Fain and Malia Hale. Or does she like to go by Malia Tate? And I'd really rather kill only the Alpha and both half-breeds instead of two other humans. But I will if I have to."

"Stacie, go," Stiles told her.

Stacie and Stiles turned to run.

The Chemist shot the silencer, hitting the door in front of them, making them stop.

Stacie and Stiles turned to look at the Chemist.

The Chemist smirked.

Classroom

Coach was in his arch, coughing weakly, sickly. He sat up, seeming fine now. "What the hell is going on?"

Every human teenager that had gotten sick were now becoming better, almost as if nothing had happened, just like Coach.

Nicole helped Sydney sit up, looking at her wrists to see they were healed. "The lesions are gone."

"Can I take the test again now?" Sydney asked.

Nicole chuckled, walking out of the arch to check on the rest of the students. "They're getting better. They're all getting better."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Vault

Scott, Adriana, Angel, Kira and Malia were getting worse.

Adriana couldn't see anything anymore, catching herself against the wall, gasping. While she was dying, all she could do was blindly trace the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist, having it memorized to her core.

"What's happening to us?" Malia asked.

Angel looked around blindly. "I can't..."

Kira leaned against the wall desperately. "Angel. I can't see. Angel?"

Scott couldn't see anything, either.

¤•¤°¤•¤

Boys' Locker Room

The Chemist pushed Stiles and Stacie into the locker room.

Stiles pulled Stacie in front of him, away from the Chemist.

They were both too sick, too weak to fight back.

"Still a little feverish, Mr. and Miss Stilinski," the Chemist told them. "But you should know something, the virus doesn't kill humans. You'll get better. So, don't you think you should tell me where where they are? Shouldn't both of you get to live? I have the anchor for you and Scott and Ari, Stiles, I could easily kill her, but I'm giving you a chance."

"But if you kill Scott and Ari, Stace's not one step closer to death, but two," Stiles told him.

"But not dead," the Chemist told them. "And neither will you."

"I think I saw them in the library," Stacie told him. "Or maybe the cafeteria. It was definitely one of them two."

"I'm going to count to three," the Chemist told them. "And then I'm going to kill her, which kills all of you."

Stacie and Stiles turned to face him, making Stiles now in front of Stacie, but still in the way of the gun.

"You think you can scare us?" Stacie asked.

"No, I think I can kill you, Stacie," the Chemist answered. "I just thought the countdown would make it more exciting. So..." He aimed the gun at Stacie's head. "One. Two."

The Chemist prepared to pull the trigger.

"No!" Stiles told him angrily, pushing the gun down as the shot fired.

The bullet shot into Stacie's stomach.

Stacie was in shock, holding her stomach, drifting into a fall. (slow motion)

The Chemist pushed Stiles to the floor, aiming the gun at Stacie's head.

Stacie closed her eyes, looking away so that she wouldn't have to see death come.

Another gun sounded, but this one came from a different gun.

Blood spattered over Stacie.

Stacie looked up, seeing a bullet hole in the Chemist's head.

The Chemist was dead, falling.

Stiles crawled toward Stacie, holding a hand over her stomach.

The one who had shot the Chemist walked closer in a yellow hazmat suit, taking off the mask, revealing it was Sheriff, kneeling in front Stacie and Stiles worriedly.

Stacie looked at him in relief, gasping in pain. "Dad."

"No one tries to kill my kids and gets away with it," Sheriff told them. "Stiles, listen. I got a call from Macey. She's on her way. I don't know what it means. She says there's an antidote. It's in the vault. Reishi mushrooms."

"What, in the vault?" Stiles asked.

"It's in a jar on one of the shelves," Sheriff told him. "She said to tell the others. Okay, in the vault."

Stiles shook his head. "No, I'm not leaving Stacie."

"I've got her," Sheriff told him. "I'll take care of her."

Stiles looked at Stacie.

Stacie nodded. "They need you, Stiles. Go." Stiles hesitated. "Go!"

Stiles stood, running to tell the others.

Sheriff held his radio. "I need a medic in the locker room. I need a medic now!"

Stacie held her stomach in pain, crying.

Sheriff held her reassuringly, trying to stop the bleeding.

Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital - Hallway

Satomi and Derek walked out of the morgue.

"I have to get to the school," Derek told her.

"What about the others at Lookout Point?" Satomi asked.

The elevator doors dinged open.

A blonde woman inside raised her gun toward them, shooting.

Derek ducked under the bullets, but he still got shot in the stomach, falling to the floor.

The woman fired at Satomi. Satomi had the spike in her hand, spinning to dodge out of the way of the bullet. Once. Twice. Three times. Four. Five. Satomi spun underneath the bullets, her feet planted on the floor. When she stood, she stabbed the assassin in the neck. The assassin dropped her gun. Satomi took out the spike. The assassin fell to the floor, dead.

Derek stood.

Deaton and Melissa walked out of the morgue.

Satomi spun the spike, looking at them, smirking. "I may have learned to control my anger, but I still know when to use it."

Hale Vault

Scott, Adriana, Malia, Kira and Angel still couldn't see a thing, minutes from dying.

They heard Stiles' voice from outside the vault. "Hey, Scott! Scott, it's in the vault. It's in there with you. It's called Reishi mushrooms. Scott?"

¤•¤°¤•¤

Beacon Hills High School - Basement

Stiles hit the door to the Hale Vault repeatedly. "Scott, open the door! It's in there with you. It's in a jar, it's on one of the shelves. Adriana. Adriana, can you hear me? Adriana? Adriana!"

Stiles stopped hitting the door in defeat, gasping in pain, sliding to the floor. (slow motion)

Beacon Hills High School - Outside

Ari, Lydia and Natalie stood outside.

Ari held her stomach, gasping in pain, nearly falling. (slow motion)

Lydia and Natalie caught Ari from either side, holding her standing.

"Ari?" Lydia asked worriedly. "What is it, Ari? What's wrong? Ari!"

"Someone tried to kill Stacie," Ari answered.

"I thought Angel said that Stacie's pain thing was oneway," Natalie told her in confusion.

Ari took a deep breath. "Not when she's dying."

¤•¤°¤•¤

Hale Vault

Scott, Adriana, Malia, Kira and Angel were on the floor weakly.

"Reishi," Kira told them. "Scott, I saw it. In a jar on one of the shelves. Reishi..."

"Adriana..." Scott trailed off. "You're... stronger."

"I still can't see," Adriana told him weakly.

"Deucalion isn't always blind," Scott told her.

Adriana looked up in recognition and even a little relief. "Oh, my God."

When Deucalion was blind, he could see when he was shifted, as a wolf.

Adriana used the wall to pull herself up, letting her eyes glow completely purple. She saw Kira, Angel and Malia on the floor weakly.

Scott was by the stairs in the middle.

They heard the main entrance of the vault opening, up on the stairs behind Scott.

Adriana saw in red vision, Tara running down the stairs, past Kira, Angel, Scott and Malia, toward the shelf. She sighed in relief, letting herself sink to the floor.

Tara grabbed the violet and gold glowing mushrooms in the jar.

Reishi.

Tara turned around, looking at the five of them. She raised the jar over her head, throwing it to the floor, making the glass jar shatter by impact. (slow motion)

The reishi spread through the air.

Scott, Adriana, Malia, Kira and Angel inhaled deeply, gasping. Each breath they took would take them one step closer to being cured.

Scott looked at Tara in relief, happily. "Tara. Tara, you did it."

Tara opened the door, seeing Stiles.

Stiles looked at Tara in relief. "About damn time, Tara."

Tara exhaled. "Nice to see you, too, Stiles."

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway

(Song:) Breathe - of Verona

The quarantine was over.

Macey, Lydia, Ari and Natalie walked into the school.

People were leaving.

Sheriff and Raphael were on either side of a gurney, wheeling it toward the door.

"Excuse us," Sheriff told them. "Excuse us. Move!"

Macey, Lydia, Ari and Natalie ran toward them when they saw Stacie. "Stacie!"

Natalie looked at her worriedly. "Oh, my God, Stacie, are you okay?"

"I'll be fine, Natalie," Stacie told her. "Just make sure the others are, Nattie."

Natalie nodded. "I promise, Stace."

Ari held Stacie's hand. "Oh, my God, Stace."

"I'm okay, Ari," Stacie told her.

"Ari, Natalie, we gotta get her to the hospital," Sheriff told them.

"I'll be there as soon as I can," Macey told them.

Ari nodded, letting go.

Lydia pulled Ari and Natalie back away. "Ari. Natalie. Of course, go, go."

They wheeled Stacie to the door, outside. They looked down the hallway to see Nicole helping Adriana into the hallway.

"Ari," Natalie told her.

Lydia smiled. "Mom? Adri!"

Macey, Ari and Lydia ran down the hallway. "Adri."

"Lydia, Ari," Nicole told them. "Macey."

"Oh, my God, Adri," Ari told her.

Macey and Ari embraced Adriana tightly.

"Adri, are you okay?" Macey asked. "Adri."

Adriana smiled weakly in relief. "I'm okay, Mom."

Macey sighed in relief. "Thank God, Adriana. I don't know what would happen if I lost you again, Adri."

Adriana smiled. "You won't have to find out, Mom."

Lydia embraced Nicole tightly.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Nicole told them. "I'm so sorry." She pulled away. "I was just trying to get a little overtime."

Macey and Ari pulled away from Adriana.

Natalie ran closer. "Adri."

"Natalie?" Adriana asked. Natalie and Adriana embraced. "I'm okay, Natalie. Nattie, I'm okay."

Ari smiled, embracing Adriana and Natalie. "Natalie. Nattie."

Ari and Adriana embraced Nicole, pulling away.

Lydia and Adriana embraced.

Hale Vault

Kira and Angel were helping each other up from the floor.

Malia was looking numbly down at the floor.

Tara helped Scott stand.

Scott held Tara in relief.

Stiles walked closer to Malia, kneeling in front of her. "Hey, you all right?" Malia didn't respond. "Malia." Stiles put a hand on her shoulder. "Malia."

Malia instinctively grabbed Stiles' wrist, looking at him coldly in betrayal, pushing his hand away, reaching for the paper on the floor, standing, walking toward Scott and Tara. She pushed the paper to Tara's chest.

Tara grabbed the paper in confusion, watching Malia walk past her.

Malia walked out of the exit of the vault that led into the school basement without another look or word. (slow motion)

Tara looked down at the last third of the dead pool.

"Tara..." Scott trailed off, trying to stop her. "Tara." Tara let him go, taking a step away, turning away, looking at the name 'Malia Hale' on the list. She realized that Malia was Peter's daughter, her and Derek's cousin. Scott stepped closer. "Tara..." Tara looked up numbly, folding the paper. "Tara." Scott looked at her in regret and sorrow. "Tara..."

Tara looked over her shoulder to look at Scott coldly in betrayal, crumpling the list in her hand, letting it go, letting it fall slowly to the floor.

Scott looked as if he wanted to apologize, but couldn't find the words to say.

Tara looked away, walking toward the stairs that led to the main entrance of the vault, without another look or word. (slow motion)

Scott watched Tara walk up the stairs without turning back.
