chapter 5 - I.E.D.

From 4.03 "Muted", on the lacrosse field, the lacrosse ball soared right for Malia's forehead.
Ari used the lacrosse stick to catch the ball before it hit Malia.
Kira: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"
Ari tossed the ball up.
Stacie smiled, using her stick to swing down and catch the ball before Ari could again, pulling the stick away.
Kira scooped up the ball from Stacie's net, twirling the stick her head twice.
Stacie hit her stick underneath Kira's, making the ball fly out and arch toward Malia.
Ari caught it again before it hit her.
Coach was on his knees. "Someone ask them if they've ever played lacrosse."
From 4.03 "Muted", in Kira's room, Kira was in her room, spinning her lacrosse stick like a sword.
From 4.03 "Muted", in Ari's House, Ari was practicing with her lacrosse stick, spinning it around in her hands, tossing up a ball repeatedly, catching it every which way it went, smiling.
From 4.03 "Muted", outside the Hale Loft on the stairs, Derek and Stacie were sitting together.
"An anchor," Derek finished. "I wouldn't use anger. Not for you." Stacie smiled a little at the way he made it sound like it was a good thing. "Something else."
"Then a memory?" Stacie asked. "A person from my past... a person from the now..." She looked at Derek as she finished. "I could actually need some help with learning how to fight, too."
"I couldn't agree more," Derek told her. "You know, Kate, she took something from me when he turned me back. The color of my eyes. I think we can help each other find what we're looking for."
From 4.04 "The Benefactor", in the boathouse at the Martin Lake House, Liam woke, growling, shifting, letting his eyes glow gold, looking toward them.
Stacie: (voice over from 4.04 The Benefactor) "The kid's got some serious anger issues."
From 4.04 "The Benefactor", in the Sheriff's Station, Jordan was sitting at the desk.
Sheriff and Derek stood behind him.
"Does anyone recognize the handle 'Benefactor'?" Jordan asked.
From 4.04 "The Benefactor", in the school hallway, the Mute stood.
Sheriff: (voice over from 4.04 The Benefactor) "He's an assassin."
From 4.04 "The Benefactor", outside the Martin Lake House, Violet came up behind Demarco, looping a chain/wire around his neck, pulling tight. She pulled the wire tighter, pushing a silver broach attached to it.
The wire began to glow red.
Demarco's neck began to smoke.
Within seconds, his head was detached from his body.
The headless body fell to the ground.
From 4.04 "The Benefactor", in the Martin Lake House, Garrett and Violet stood together.
"Our friend just sent me a text," Garrett told her, showing her the text from the Benefactor.
The money has been transferred into your account.
Garrett and Violet smiled, starting to kiss.
From 4.04 "The Benefactor", in the study of the Martin Lake House, Lydia was still listening to the white noise on the record player, looking at the wall, transfixed.
Stacie saw that the record player was spinning. She couldn't hear anything, but she knew that Lydia could. "What do you hear?"
"The key to break the code," Lydia answered.
Later, Lydia, Ari and Adriana were sitting at the desk. Angel, Stacie and Kira stood behind them, looking at the computer on the desk in front of them.
Lydia slowly typed in Allison. She slowly hit enter.
The whole coded screen turned into a long list of names, with certain numbers next to them.
"What is this?" Angel asked.
"It's a list of anyone who has a link to the supernatural in Beacon Hills," Adriana answered.
"It's a dead pool," Lydia told them.
Ari hesitated. "And we're all on it."

Day One
Night - Beacon Hills High School - Outside
A teenage girl with blonde hair was running across the school grounds. She stopped at the high school sign to catch her breath, looking behind her, continuing to run, leaping over two of the railings in front of her to get to the bus pit, leaning against a bus to hide for the moment. She was bleeding, and one of her hands were missing. All that remained was a cauterized and smoking stump.
Violet was pursuing casually, spinning her thermo-cut wire bolo necklace.
¤•¤°¤•¤
School Bus
The girl took refuge inside one of the buses, repeating the mantra Demarco had chanted just before Violet had killed him. "The sun, the moon, the truth. The sun, the moon, the truth."
Violet walked onto the bus, beginning to slowly walk down the aisle, looking over the seats in search of the girl.
The girl leaped up, swiping at Violet with her remaining claws repeatedly. Violet ducked each swipe, though she did get cut. The girl kicked her in the chest, making her fall to the floor, leaping onto the seats above her, running down the aisle to get to the door, jumping to the floor, running off the bus.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Outside
The girl ran off the bus, racing across the parking lot.
A truck pulled up in front of her.
Garrett was inside the truck, honking the horn. "Get in!" The girl hesitated, looking over her shoulder toward the bus. "Come on, she's coming. Get in!" The girl opened the door, getting into the passenger seat. Garrett locked the doors to the truck, smirking. "Seriously? I can't believe you fell for that."
Garrett raised his lacrosse stick that had a knife protruding from the end of it, stabbing the girl in the heart with it.

There was a black wolf with red eyes.
Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.
Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke, hitting the ground. Tyler Posey.
Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.
There was a hand held high with a claw on each finger.
Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.
Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.
Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.
Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.
On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.
Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring. Dust was falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.
On Derek's back, a triskele appeared.
Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.
Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.
A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.
A black wolf howled.
Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.
Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.
Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.
On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.
The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.
Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

Flashback (Day One)
Night - Stilinski House - Stiles' Rom
Stiles and Stacie were standing next to Stiles' new, improved Plexiglas murder board, exchanging a look.
Stacie put up pictures of dates, victims or killers, holding them up with white tape.
Stiles used red tape to connect the pictures of dates, victims or killers.
Stiles: (voice over)"So, the Walcotts were the first. At least the first that we know about. Four murders. Sean, his brother, and their parents. They were killed by a professional assassin called the Mute."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback - 4.03 "Muted"
Night - Walcott House - Sean's Room
Sean held his head to the door to listen.
The tomahawk cut through the door next to his head, making him back away in shock.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Now
Night - Stilinski House - Stiles' Room
Stacie and Stiles stood next to the murder board.
Stacie: (voice over) "Weapon of choice, a military tomahawk."
Stacie used the red tape to connect a sketch of the Mute to the four murders.
Stacie: (voice over)"But then he was killed by Peter Hale after he tried to blow up Derek with a Claymore mine."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback
Night - Beacon Hills High School - Closet
Jordan was wearing full protective uniform, deactivating the bomb, taking off the helmet.
Angel was standing outside the door, watching through the window.
Jordan gave her a thumbs up. "It's okay, Angel."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback (Day One)
Night - Stilinski House - Stiles' Room
Stacie and Stiles stood next to the board, looking everything over.
Stiles: (voice over)"Next was Demarco. He delivered a keg to the party at Ari, Adriana and Lydia's lake house. And decapitated outside his car."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback
Night - Martin Lake House - Outside
It was the same night as the lake house party in 4.04 "The Benefactor".
Scott and Tara knelt next to Demarco's decapitated body in the street.
Tara looked at Scott. "One of the terms of the deal was if I showed you a few new things. Let's start now. Does the scent tell you anything?"
"Definitely Werewolf," Scott answered. "But there's more, Tara. I think he was part of a pack."
Tara nodded to the questioning look he gave her. "And they'll be looking for him."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Now
Night - Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Sheriff stood around the desk, looking down at the crime scene photos.
"And then last night, 23-year-old Carrie Hudson," Stacie finished.
"It's a dead pool," Scott explained. "A hit list of supernatural creatures, or anyone with a link to the supernatural."
Ari looked from Sheriff to Stacie. "That's the only reason Stacie's name's on the list. She's our anchor. She's the only reason that the three of us are alive."
"Yeah, I remember this part from Angel," Sheriff told them. "Angel said that if Stacie dies, then the three of you die with her."
"Yeah," Stacie agreed. "They know it'll be easier to kill a seemingly defenseless human than an Alpha or a half-breed Werewolf. Right, Ari?"
"What do you mean, seemingly, Stacie?" Sheriff asked.
Stacie smirked.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback
Day - Hale Loft - Living Room
Stacie and Derek were training, in workout clothes.
Derek swung toward her. Stacie ducked. Derek swung his other arm.
Stacie caught it, using it to spin behind him, turning back to him, holding a knife to his throat to 'kill' him. She smiled, whispering into his ear. "You're dead."
"Getting better, Stacie," Derek told her.
"Thanks to you and my fear of being useless enough to get Scott and Ari killed because of some stupid--" Stacie started to say.
Derek used the distraction to push the knife aside, holding Stacie by the arm, using it to pull her down, pinning her lightly against the floor, kneeling over her. "Stacie, next lesson, don't get distracted."
"Oh, thanks for the tip," Stacie told him sarcastically. "So... any other moves you wanna show me?"
Derek smiled, taking both of her hands, helping her stand. "Only you, Stacie."
They looked at each other for a moment, smiling, kissing slowly and softly, passionately.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Now
Night - Sheriff's Office - Sheriff's Station
Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Sheriff stood around the desk, talking.
Stacie looked at Sheriff hesitantly. "And now that I think about it, it's a really good question if you have any objections."
"Have any objections to you learning how to defend yourself from getting killed with the rest of the people on this list just to get Scott and Ari killed, or have any objections to you and Derek?" Sheriff asked rhetorically.
Stacie tilted her head at Stiles, sighing
"What?" Stiles asked. "He needed to know."
"Or you needed to know that you weren't the only one who didn't like it," Stacie replied. She looked at Sheriff. "Dad, he's helping me, making sure that I don't end up dead with everyone on that list."
Ari unfolded a piece of paper, laying it on Sheriff's desk to show him. "This is only part of it. The rest still has to be decoded."
"Who found this list?" Sheriff asked.
"Lydia," Stiles answered.
"How?" Sheriff asked.
"She wrote it," Ari answered. "Actually, she transcribed it. Without realizing it."
"Banshee?" Sheriff asked.
"Banshee," Ari answered.
Sheriff nodded. "Beautiful. All right, what about all these numbers next to the names?"
"We're getting to that," Stacie told him. "First, you need to know that the code was broken with a cipher key."
"Wait," Sheriff told them. "You mean, like a... key word?"
"It's actually a name," Stacie answered.
"Allison," Scott told him.
There was a beat of silence.
Sheriff gave Scott, Stiles, Stacie and Ari a sympathetic look.
"Her name broke a third of the list," Ari told him.
"And now we think that there's two other cipher keys," Scott added.
"Which will give us the rest of the names," Sheriff told them. "Okay. So how do we get the cipher keys?"
"Same way we got the code," Stiles told them.
Scott nodded. "Lydia."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback
Night - Martin Lake House - Study
Lydia was kneeling on the floor in front of the record player.
Ari: (voice over) "She's been at the lake house all weekend trying to find the other two keys."
Lydia looked exhausted, pale, having a glazed over look in her eyes, listening to the white noise on the vinyl.
The disk ended.
Lydia moved the needle to the beginning to play again.
Ari and Adriana were sitting in the room behind Lydia, looking at her worriedly. They exchanged a look.
Adriana nodded.
Ari and Adriana stood, walking toward Lydia.
Ari: (voice over) "Adriana and I wouldn't leave without her, and the only ones she'd listen to were us. We finally got her to go home."
Ari slowly took the needle off the vinyl.
Lydia looked disappointed.
Ari and Adriana slowly pulled her away.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback (Day One)
Night - Stilinski House - Stiles Room
Stacie and Stiles stood at the murder board.
Stiles looked at the list on the board, using a red highlighter to cross out the names of Sean, David, Michael and Christina Walcott, Demarco Montana and Carrie Hudson.
Stacie tried to pull Stiles away from the board, both obviously having lack of sleep.
Stiles held a hand out to her, holding up a finger to silently tell her to hold on.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Now
Night - Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Sheriff stood around the desk, talking.
"You didn't know about Demarco and Carrie, hmm?" Sheriff asked. "And what about these two other names on the list? Kayleen Bettcher and Elias Town. They Werewolves, too?"
"I don't know," Scott told him. "But Deaton said the Nemeton would draw supernatural creatures here."
"Here being Beacon Hills?" Sheriff asked. "Or Beacon County? Because the population in Beacon Hills is just under 30,000."
"And dropping," Stacie told them.
Sheriff tilted his head at her. "But if we're talking Beacon County, then we're looking closer to 500,000." He sat down. "Look, how many Werewolves, Banshees, Kitsunes, or whatever the hell else are we talking about? And what happens if the next cipher key uncovers not 17 names, but 100?"
"We don't think they'll be that many," Stiles told him. "There's a limit."
Scott pointed to the list. "Because of the numbers."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hale Loft - Living Room
Derek sat a desk, looking at a laptop screen.
Tara stood over his shoulder.
The screen read: The Benefactor. Money transferred.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Sheriff stood around the desk, talking.
"We think that once we decode the names, the numbers will add up to 200," Stacie explained.
"200 what?" Sherif asked.
"Million," Scott answered.
Ari took the list and a pen, writing down a 'K' next to all the triple digit numbers and an 'M' next to all the double or single digit numbers.
Sean Walcott 250 K
David Walcott 250 K
Michael Walcott 250 K
Christina Walcott 250 K
Adriana Martin 25 M
Arielle Martin 25 M
Lydia Martin 20 M
Scott McCall 25 M
Demarco Montana 250 K
Derek Hale 15 M
Tara Hale 15 M
Carrie Hudson 500 K
Kayleen Bettcher 250 K
Elias Town 250 K
Stacie Stilinski (see Scott McCall and Arielle Martin)
Sheriff stood.
Ari capped the pen.
"200 million dollars, Dad," Stacie told him. "Stolen from the Hale vault and is being used by someone to finance all these murders."
Ari nodded. "Someone who wants all the supernaturals in Beacon Hills dead."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Flashback (Day One)
Night - Stilinski House - Stiles' Room
Stacie and Stiles stood at the murder board.
Stiles wrote across the board. The Benefactor. He drew an outline of a human head, drawing a question mark where the face should have been, capping the marker.
Stacie gently led him away from the board.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Now
Night - Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Scott, Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Sheriff stood around the desk, talking.
"So, the coded list goes out," Sheriff told them. "And somehow these professional assassins get that list."
"And the cipher key," Stiles added.
"Then they go after the names on that list," Sheriff told them. "They being killers with no mouths, tomahawks, thermo-cut wires that can take your head off."
"Let me see," Stacie told them, looking at the knife wounds in Carrie's chest with a thin line of an octagon surrounding the wound. "Okay, Carrie was also stabbed. What's this mark?"
"We're not sure yet," Sheriff told them. "We're waiting for the ME's report. There's one other thing that I don't get. How did the new assassin know that Demarco was going to be at the lake house?"
"Everyone knows that he delivers kegs to teenagers for a little extra cash," Ari answered.
"Ah," Sheriff told them. "So whoever ordered that keg killed Demarco."
"Yeah, it was someone at that party," Stiles told them.
Stacie tilted her head. "A student."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Day Two
Morning - Beacon Hills High School - Hallway
Garrett and Violet arrived to the party.
Violet pulled her collar over to hide the claw marks inflicted by Carrie during her failed escape.
"You all right?" Garrett asked.
Violet sighed. "I can handle a scratch or two if I know we're eventually going for the real money. The seven figure money."
"We are," Garrett told her.
"When?" Violet asked.
"Tonight," Garrett answered.
They smiled, continuing to walk along.
¤•¤°¤•¤
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hallway
Angel and Kira were standing at Angel's locker.
Angel was showing her new skates. "I just got these yesterday. They're electronic, so I don't have to worry about keeping up on my speed. The skates will keep my speed level for me the entire time."
"You're a severe skate-a-holic, Angel," Kira told her. "You know that, right? Angel, it's better than some things."
Angel tilted her head. "Oh, come on. No judging."
"All right, Angel," Kira told her. "No judging."
Angel looked down the hallway to see Ken Yukimura walking closer, looking at Kira awkwardly. "Uh, I better go."
Kira nodded. "Yeah."
Angel walked away, leaving.
Kira turned to look at Ken. "Look, Dad, I'm sorry. I know that Mom told me to stay away from Angel, but I had to talk to Angel. Okay, something serious is going on, and--"
"That's not what I wanted to talk to you about," Ken told her. "It's that we were wondering if you wanted to talk to us."
"About what?" Kira asked.
"About something that you forgot to mention," Ken answered. "Something important."
"How important?" Kira asked.
"Exceptionally," Ken answered.
"Oh, God," Kira told him. "You know?"
"We know," Ken answered.
"Look, I was going to tell you," Kira told him. "We were going to tell you everything. About the dead pool, the assassins, the killings. But I didn't want you to worry."
Ken looked at her in confusion, worried, pulling out Kira's lacrosse jersey. "I was talking about you joining the lacrosse team."
Kira was surprised and busted, awkward. "Oh. Then never mind."
Kira took the jersey, turning around, walking away.
Ken called after her. "Dead pool?"

Weight Room
(Song:) Baby Back - Jetfire (feat. Maya Simantov)
Liam was bench pressing weights.
Mason was lifting weights. "You know how I keep reminding Garrett to give me back my hoodie?"
Liam sat up. "Yeah."
"Well, I remembered you said he lived in that housing development on Spaulding," Mason told him. Liam stood, putting more weights on the bar. "So I went there, and guess what? That housing development is still in development."
Liam laid down on the bench again, starting to lift weights again. "So?"
"There are no houses yet," Mason answered. "So, unless the dude lives in some backhoe, there's something he's not telling us. And ten there's this other dude, man, he's..." Liam stood to put more weights on the bar. "He's been acting really strange. Running to school for no reason. Disappearing at parties. Used to be my best friend."
Liam wasn't paying much attention, laying down on the bench to start lifting again. "Uh-huh."
"And he is apparently on steroids," Mason told him.
"What?" Liam asked.
"You're not actually going to try to lift that, are you?" Mason asked. Liam sat up, looking at how many weights he had put on the bar. Mason knelt to the floor to put his own weights down. "Are you all right? I mean, is it about the game tonight?"
"I'm fine," Liam told him. "It's just a scrimmage."
"You know who you're playing, right?" Mason asked.
Liam nodded. "Yeah. I mean, no. I guess I missed the announcement."
"Liam, it's your old school," Mason told him. "Devenford Prep."
Liam looked at him worriedly.

Boys' Locker Room
Liam walked into the boys' locker room, slamming his bag down on the bench. He realized his lacrosse stick wasn't in his locker. "What the hell? Where's my stick?"
Liam heard the door opening, slowly walking in that direction.
Derek walked into view with a lacrosse stick. "Is this yours?"
Derek broke it in half, tossing it toward his feet, letting it clatter on the floor.
Liam looked up, letting his eyes glow gold, breathing heavily, walking toward Derek.
Derek took him by his throat and pushed him against the lockers.
Liam growled.
He heard Natalie's voice. "Liam." (echoing)
Natalie's voice seemed to have an instantly calming effect on him.
Natalie walked in.
Liam looked toward Natalie, letting the glow fade from his eyes.
Scott, Ari and Tara walked in.
Ari was holding a lacrosse stick.
"You're right," Derek told them. "He is angry."
Derek let him go.
Liam landed on the floor.
"This one's yours," Ari told him, tossing him the stick.
Liam caught it, looking at Derek.
The bell rang.
Derek looked up to the ceiling.
"Get to class, Liam," Scott told him. He looked at Natalie in front of him, Ari and Tara. "Natalie..."
Natalie nodded in understanding. She tilted her head, looking at Liam, holding out her hand. "Come on."
Liam looked at Derek, taking Natalie's hand.
Natalie led him out of the locker room.
Scott sighed.
Tara couldn't help a smile, looking at Scott.
Ari looked at Tara weirdly, having never seen her smile before. "What are you smiling about, Tara?"
Tara looked at Ari, nodding to Scott. "He's gonna be good at this."
"Tara, are you kidding?" Scott asked. "I am totally unprepared. You saw that at the lake house."
Derek looked at Ari. "Maybe you should use this as a template for whenever you make your first wolf, Ari."
"Okay, now I know you guys are kidding," Ari told them, sighing, leaning against the locker to the right.
"Remember how you both said you could teach us both a few things?" Scott asked. "I think right now, we could both use a full-on training manual."
"I'll tell you one thing," Derek told him. "That anger he's got? It'll make him strong."
"And dangerous," Ari added.
Tara nodded. "Very. But we do have something to keep him at least a little calmer. Natalie."
Scott sat down on the bench next to the locker Ari was leaning against. "This was supposed to be the semester I could focus on school again."
Tara sat next to Scott. They looked at each other, smiling small smiles.
Derek leaned against the locker beside Tara.
"But Kate's back," Ari told them. "And Scott's got a Beta. And there's a dead pool."
"If all our names are on that list, then I think we should be focused on that," Tara told them. Ari nodded. Tara looked up at her. "Ari, do you think Lydia can get that second key?"
Ari tilted her head, sighing. "She's working on it."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Art Room
(Song:) Mustang Kids - Zella Day (feat. Baby E)
Lydia tried to draw on the easel for the code names in Art.
Adriana was sitting nearby.
Malia was hovering over Lydia's shoulder.
"Stop hovering," Lydia told her.
"I'm not hovering," Malia told her. "I'm waiting. We need to know who's else names are on that list."
"You mean, you need to know if your name's on the list," Adriana told her.
"If somebody's coming to take my head off, then, yes, Adriana, I'd like to know," Malia told her.
"Okay, sit, sit, sit," Adriana told her, pulling Malia back, making her sit. "You're making her nervous. Banshee powers don't work under duress."
"Sorry," Malia whispered.
Lydia closed her eyes, trying to focus.
Adriana sat up in realization of what she had just said. "Lydia."
"What?" Lydia asked. "Oh, my God, Adriana, what?"
"Maybe we need help," Adriana answered. "From another Banshee."
Lydia exhaled. "Meredith."

Coach's Classroom
Stacie and Stiles were sitting together.
Ari and Scott were sitting behind them.
Stacie and Stiles were looking at crime scene photos and files.
Ari reached for the pictures. "Guys, give it a rest. Torturing yourself with crime scene photos isn't gonna help us find out who's killing people."
Stacie smacked her hand, pushing it away. "It can't hurt, either, Ari."
"Actually, it can, if you're torturing yourself with pictures," Scott told them.
Stacie and Stiles ignored them.
Scott sighed.
Coach was at the front of the room, holding a lacrosse stick in his hands. "Economic disperity exists in all forms. Well, take sports for example. Some teams have better training facilities." He walked closer to Stacie, Stiles, Ari and Scott. "Some have better equipment. Unlike Beacon Hills, that can barely afford the duct tape that keep our equipment together." He hit Stacie's desk with the lacrosse stick, making her jump and look up. "You know, Stilinskis..." He looked down at the crime scene photos. Stacie scratched her head awkwardly. "If I could grade you on how profoundly you disturb me, you'd be A-plus students."
Stiles nodded sarcastically. "Thanks, Coach."
"Both of you, put those pictures away," Coach told them, hitting the stick against Stiles' desk three times. Ari smirked. Stiles looked down at the desk, sighing, starting to put his photos away. Stacie looked at the lacrosse stick in Coach's hands, grabbing it, looking at the octagon shape behind the rubber tip. Coach tried to pull the stick away. "Stacie!" Stacie held tighter, taking off the rubber tip, comparing the shape of the metal to the marks on Carrie's chest around the stab wound. It was the same. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Coach took the stick away. "Don't answer." He pointed at Stacie. "If this is you trying to get out of the game tonight, it's not gonna work. In fact, Stacie, you're starting off and ending it."
Stacie gave him a sarcastic look.
Coach walked away.
Stacie turned to Stiles, Ari and Scott. "It's a lacrosse player."
Ari blinked. "The killer's on the team."

¤•¤°¤•¤
Coach's Office
Scott, Stiles, Stacie and Ari were going through all of the lacrosse sticks, putting them on the desk when they were done.
"This... this is pointless," Scott told them. "Most of the team plays with their own equipment."
"Maybe instead of trying to find a lacrosse stick with a hidden dagger in it, we should be trying to get the game cancelled?" Stiles suggested.
"The game's the best way to catch him red-handed," Ari told them.
"But what if he's red-handed 'cause his hands are covered in the blood of the person he just stabbed to death?" Stiles asked. "Which, by the way, could be either of you guys."
"Or Adriana, Lydia, Natalie, Liam," Ari told them.
"Or Kira, Angel, Malia, Tara, Derek," Scott added. "Well, we don't have the whole list, and they could be on it."
"We don't know anything about that list," Stacie told them. "How it's made, how it's updated. I mean, who's been out taking a supernatural consensus, anyway?" She sighed. "I think Stiles is right. I think we should stop the game."
Ari shook her head. "I'm not afraid."
"Neither am I," Scott agreed.
"Well, I'm terrified," Stacie told them, raising her arms in a shrug. She looked and Ari and Scott. "And I'm only on the list so they can kill the two of you at the exact same time, and if I die, then not only both of you do, but Stiles does, too." She pointed at Stiles the second she said his name. "Guys, these are professional killers. It's their profession!"
"One of them's got a thermo-cut wire that cuts heads off," Stiles told them, raising his arms in a shrug. "Who knows what else they have?"

Chemistry Room
Violet was mixing a yellow species of wolfsbane powder into an unknown liquid.
Garrett was sitting across the table from her. "Wolfsbane. That's wolfsbane? I thought it was purple."
"Not this species," Violet told him. "Which is very rare and very expensive.'
"What's that supposed to mean?" Garrett asked. "'Don't screw up'?"
Violet put the beaker on the table between them. "Don't miss. Okay, all you have to do is nick him. It'll work fast. Even on an Alpha. Or a half-breed. Or an anchor."
"We gonna do this again?" Garrett asked.
"I'm just saying, I don't know why we're going after a Beta when there's an Alpha, a half-breed and an anchor on the field," Violet told him.
"Because an entire pack of Alphas went after McCall and both of the Martin twins, and they were the ones left standing," Garrett answered. "Adriana Martin was actually in the Alpha Pack."
"So then we go after Stacie Stilinski to kill Scott McCall and Ari Martin," Violet told him. "It's 50 million dollars in one kill. It's a lot of money."
"And they're gonna be protecting her because they know this," Garrett told her. "The Beta is a lot of money, too."
Garrett sighed, picking up his lacrosse stick, dragging out the knife.
Violet drew some of the wolfsbane-laced liquid into a tube, coating the edge of the blade with the wolfsbane.

Hallway
Angel, Lydia and Malia were walking downstairs.
"Eichen House says Meredith can't have visitors without permission from a family member," Lydia told them.
"That's not gonna be easy, since her whole family is dead," Angel told them. "I found that out from my uncle."
"Perfect, Angel," Lydia told her sarcastically.
"Okay, maybe we go back to the art room?" Malia asked. "Or music room?"
Lydia stopped walking, turning to face them, making them stop. "I'm not plucking piano strings for two hours waiting for some supernatural inspiration."
"Fine," Malia told her. "What else do Banshees do?"
"You think I know?" Lydia asked. "I can't just turn this on. I'm not like you guys. I don't have claws, or glowing eyes or super senses. I just have voices in my head."
Angel looked around to make sure no one was listening. She looked at Lydia. "Listen, I get it. I can do things that I don't even know what I'm doing until it's already done. I have no clue what I am, and I don't know how to figure it out. And I don't know if my uncle is supernatural like me or not, and even if he is, I have no idea how to tell him that he is. My mom wrote all of these books about supernatural creatures and rituals and other things, but she never left me behind anything telling me what I am or what to do when I figured it out. I'm on my own in this."
Lydia looked at her in sympathy. "I know, Angel."
Malia sighed. "Let's go figure this out."
Lydia and Angel looked at Malia, nodding.
They walked away down the hallway.

Outside
Adriana and Natalie were talking.
"So, Angel's trying to help us contact Meredith or anyone with a relation to her for help to crack the last two keys," Adriana told her.
"Well, if you guys somehow manage to get to her, then just remember that she has a serious case with answering non-existent phone calls," Natalie told her. "That's how we found Lydia before."
Adriana nodded. "Good to know. I would also like to know where Scott, Stacie, Stiles and Ari are so I can tell them."
"Well, I could think of one place all four of them could be, Adriana," Natalie told her
Adriana gave Natalie a confused look.
Natalie nodded behind her.
Adriana followed her gaze to see Stiles, Scott, Ari and Stacie talking a few feet behind her. She looked at Natalie sarcastically, tilting her head. "I do believe that I'm seeing a bit of my old best friend, Natalie. Does that have anything to do with a certain new Werewolf?" Natalie didn't answer, pressing her lips together over a small smile. Adriana smiled. "Uh-huh." She looked behind Natalie. "Speaking of..."
Natalie turned her head to follow her gaze in confusion.
Liam walked out of the double doors, past them.
Mason was right behind him. "Liam, wait. No, no, no, no, no."
Devenford Prep got off the bus.
A teenage boy led the way out to the school.
"Brett!" Liam called.
Mason stopped walking. "Ah, here we go." Liam walked toward Brett. Mason saw Natalie, grabbing her arm, pulling her along. "Natalie, Natalie, Natalie."
"Mason, Mason, Mason," Natalie replied.
Mason stopped walking, making her stop.
Adriana followed, on the other side of Mason, looking at him. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Trying to tell your best friend to stop her boyfriend before he does something stupid, or at least get him to calm down afterwards," Mason answered. "Adriana, have you ever noticed my best friend listens to your best friend?"
"Yes, I have noticed that," Adriana answered.
"He's not my boyfriend," Natalie told them.
Adriana and Mason tilted their heads at Natalie.
"What would you call it, Natalie?" Adriana asked.
Natalie tilted her head at them sarcastically.
Brett was looking at Adriana, Mason and Natalie.
Liam stood in front of him, blocking them from view. "Just wanted to say..." He held out his hand toward Brett. "Have a good game."
Mason let go of Natalie's arm, covering his mouth in surprise.
Brett laughed. "That's cute, Liam. Is that what they told you to say in Anger Management? Apologize and everything's fine? You demolished Coach's car."
"I paid for it," Liam told him.
"Yeah, you're going to pay for it," Brett told him. "We're gonna break you in half out there. And it's gonna be all your fault."
Liam clenched his hand into a fist, clawing into his hand, making blood drip through his fingers.
Natalie noticed, hitting Adriana on the shoulder for her to help her. "Adriana."
Adriana, Natalie, Stiles, Scott, Ari and Stacie walked closer.
Scott and Ari pulled Liam back.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's go," Scott told him.
Stiles and Stacie stood in front of Liam to hide his glowing eyes. Adriana and Natalie were distracting the crowd.
"Hey, what's going on, prep students?" Adriana asked. Some of the boys whistled. Adriana smiled. "Yeah. Welcome to our little public school. How you doing?" She gestured to herself. "Adriana." She put a hand on Natalie's shoulder. "Natalie." Natalie waved awkwardly. Adriana looked at Brett curiously, suspicious, offering her hand. Brett looked at Adriana knowingly, smirking slightly, knowing that she knew something about him, shaking her hand. Adriana nodded. "That's a firm handshake you got there."
"Uh, we're very excited for the scrimmage tonight," Natalie told them. The glow started to fade from Liam's eyes. Stiles and Stacie looked at Liam, stepping out of the way. "Uh, but let's keep it clean, all right? No rough stuff out there."
Brett looked past them to Liam. "You know what else is cute, Liam? You've got yourself a little girlfriend who probably doesn't know the psychopath you really are."
Brett looked at Natalie as he finished.
Mason made a face like he knew that was definitely the wrong thing to say.
That seemed to piss Liam off more than anything. Liam struggled against Scott and Ari. Stiles and Stacie blocked him from view again, trying to lead him away.
Adriana raised her eyebrows at Brett as if to ask oh, really? She clapped her hands together. "All right, I think that's enough excitement for now. Why don't you save it for the actual game?"
"All right, see you there," Natalie told them. Adriana and Natalie turned around to face Scott, Liam, Ari, Stiles and Stacie, helping them get Liam out of there. "Go."
Mason watched them go.

Boys' Locker Room
Ari and Adriana held Liam under the shower water to calm him down.
Liam was shifted, growling, letting his eyes glow gold.
Ari and Adriana pulled him out.
"Okay, you calm yet?" Adriana asked loudly over his growls.
Liam roared.
Ari nodded for them to put him back in.
Ari and Adriana put him back in.
Natalie stepped closer, behind Ari and Adriana, but in the middle for Liam to see. "Liam, listen to me, all right? Calm down. It's okay."
Liam allowed himself to become human again. "Okay. Okay."
Ari and Adriana let him go.
Ari sighed, turning the water off.
Liam sighed, leaning against the wall, sliding to the floor.
Scott looked at Liam. "That car you smashed. I thought you said it was your teacher's."
"He was also my coach," Liam explained. "He benched me for the entire season."
"What did you do?" Scott asked.
"I got a couple of red cards," Liam answered.
"Just a couple?" Stiles asked.
Ari nodded to Natalie.
Natalie sighed, kneeling in front of Liam. "You gotta be honest with us. What else happened?"
"Nothing," Liam told them. Natalie tilted her head. Liam sighed, looking down. "I got kicked out of school. They sent me to a psychologist for an evaluation."
"What did they call it?" Natalie asked.
"Intermittent Explosive Disorder," Liam answered.
"I.E.D.?" Ari asked. "You're literally an I.E.D.?"
"That's great," Stiles told them sarcastically. He looked at Scott. "That's great. You gave super powers to a walking time bomb."
"Shut up, Stiles," Adriana told him.
"You know, usually, everyone's saying shut up to you," Stiles told her. "Does it feel good to say it for a change, Adriana?"
Natalie rolled her eyes, looking at Liam. "Did they give you anything for it?"
"Risperdal," Liam answered. "It's an antipsychotic."
"Oh, this just gets better," Stacie told them. She looked at Natalie. "Hey, Adriana set you up with a psychotic walking time bomb, Natalie. How do you feel about that, Nattie?"
"Shut up, Stacie," Adriana told her.
"But I don't take it," Liam told them.
"Obviously," Stiles told him.
"I can't play lacrosse on it," Liam told them. "It makes me too tired."
Ari sighed.
"Okay," Scott told him. "I think you should bail out of the game. Tell Coach your leg's still hurting."
"No, no!" Liam told them, standing up. "I can do this." He looked at Natalie. "Especially if you're there."
"Oh, it's so sickeningly sweet," Stiles told them, covering his face with his hands.
Natalie looked to the side in annoyance.
"But, Liam, it's not just about the game," Scott told him. "We think whoever killed Demarco might be on our team."
"Who's Demarco?" Liam asked.
"The one who brought the beer to the party," Stiles answered. "The guy who was beheaded. Remember?"
"We think the person who ordered the keg killed Demarco," Scott told them.
Ari was thinking, taking in a deep breath, closing her eyes.
"Ari?" Natalie asked. "Ari, you know something?"
Adriana rolled her eyes. "What are you saying, Natalie? It's Ari. Of course Ari knows something, Nattie."
Ari gave her a look. "Shut up, Adriana." She sighed, looking at the others. "I don't know who ordered the keg. But I know who paid for it. And I know we shouldn't use that as skepticism, but maybe we should use his words right after he paid for it. 'The least I could do if you guys are gonna get killed...'"
"Who?" Stacie asked. "Ari, who?"

Night - Beacon Hills High School - Lacrosse Field
The two teams were getting ready for the game.
The lights turned on.
Macey walked toward the bleachers.
Ari was in uniform, her hair pulled back into a ponytail, walking toward the bench when she saw her mother, smiling widely "Mom!"
Macey walked closer, smiling. "Hey, Ari." They embraced, pulling away. "You didn't think that we'd miss your first game, did you?"
"'We'?" Ari repeated.
"Chris' at the vault with Derek," Macey explained. "He won't be here for long, though."
"Well, you guys just got back," Ari told her. "Speaking of, Adri asked if you brought her anything back from France."
Macey smiled. "Go get ready, sweetheart."
Ari smiled, walking toward the bench with Scott, Kira and Stacie.
Stacie was repeatedly bouncing, tapping her lacrosse stick against the ground, looking toward the field like she didn't realize she was doing it.
Kira looked from Garrett to Scott and Stacie. "Shouldn't we do something now?"
"I mean, we can't," Scott told them. "We're still not sure if it's really him. If we're wrong, then the real assassin gets away."
Ari stopped behind the bench, looking at Stacie. "Nervous, Stace?"
Stacie looked at Ari. "Why would you ask me that?" Ari looked down at her tapping the lacrosse stick against the ground. Stacie followed her gaze. "Oh." She stopped bouncing it. "About someone trying to kill us? Or about me playing my first game? Or worried if I'm still useless enough to get both of you and Stiles killed?"
"All of the above, Stace?" Ari asked.
Stacie looked at Devenport passing them by. "Definitely all of the above."
Stiles walked toward them, on the phone. "Dad, you're supposed to be here for Stace's first game. Where the hell are you?"
Sheriff's voice was on the other line."Walking out now. This conversation doesn't get me there any faster."

Angel sighed. "Where have you been?"
"I was out on patrol," Jordan answered. "And I found someone walking from the coast to the high school."
"That's gotta be at least 15 miles," Angel told him.
"She was pretty determined," Jordan told her.
They looked toward Meredith.
Angel looked at her in surprise.
"Angel, I'm looking for Lydia," Meredith told her.
Jordan looked at Angel. "You got this, Angel?"
Angel looked at her uncle, nodding.

Mason, Natalie and Liam were talking.
Brett was looking toward them, pulling on his lacrosse jersey.
Liam watched Brett angrily. "I don't care if he's a foot taller than me." He looked at Mason and Natalie. "I think I can take him."
"Yeah," Mason told them, sounding distracted, checking Brett out.
Liam looked from Brett to Mason. "What do you think you're doing?"
"What?" Mason asked. "Me?" Liam nodded. Mason scoffed. "Agreeing with you. I'm being agreeable."
Natalie looked from Brett to Mason. "You think he's hot, don't you?"
"No," Mason told her. "No, Natalie. Not at all. No way!" Natalie tilted her head. "Maybe. Yeah, maybe a little."
"He wants to destroy me," Liam told him.
"I think you could definitely take him," Mason told him. "And then give him to me."
Natalie chuckled. She looked at Liam. "No, no, just go out there and kick their smug prep school asses."
"All right," Liam told them, fist bumping Mason. Mason walked away. Liam looked at Natalie. "So, you're not gonna try to talk me out of playing the game?"
Natalie shook her head. "No. I'll leave that to Scott and Ari to attempt and fail to get you out of the game."
Liam chuckled, the smile slowly starting to fade, but not completely. "Why do you do that?"
Natalie looked to the side. "Do what?"
"I tried to kill you," Liam told her. "On the full moon?"
"Well, it was my fault," Natalie told him.
"No, it's not," Liam told her. "I could feel your guilt then, and I can feel it now." Natalie sighed, looking down. "Hey." Liam took a step closer. Natalie looked up. Liam said the next sentence slowly, trying to convince her . "It's not your fault, Natalie."
Natalie smiled, backing away. "Good luck."
"Wait," Liam told her, catching her hand to stop her. "How do I keep from losing control on the field?"
Natalie shrugged one shoulder. "I wouldn't know that. I don't know if you know this, but I've never played lacrosse." Liam smiled. Natalie looked down at her hand in his. "But if it helps, when you feel like you're gonna lose control, listen for my voice."
Liam slowly nodded.
Natalie smiled, backing away, letting her hand slip out of his.

Ari saw the blade go back into Garrett's stick.
Ari looked at Liam. "Are you cut? Did Garrett cut you?"
"No," Liam answered. "No, no, I'm okay."
Ari looked at Garrett. "Then he missed."
"What do you mean?" Liam asked.
Scott looked from Stiles, Stacie, Ari and Natalie to Liam. "It's you, Liam. You're the one he's after."

Sheriff's Office
Lydia sat in the chair, holding a hand over her eyes.
Adriana stood behind the chair, putting a hand on her shoulder.
Angel was leaning against the wall, thinking.
Malia stood next to the desk, pacing, crumpling the paper with the four numbers on it. She looked at the phone. "Guys, what if it's like algebra?"
"What do you mean?" Lydia asked, lowering her hand
Malia turned the phone to face them, showing them the number pad also had letters for each number. "What if the numbers are actually letters?"
Lydia pulled out her laptop, setting it down on her desk, opening it, waiting for the coded list to load.
Angel walked closer, pulling a pen and paper, writing down ABC, GHI, DEF, and MNO. She looked at Lydia and Adriana sympathetically. "Oh, my God..."
Lydia and Adriana looked at Angel in confusion. "What, Angel?"
Angel circled the letters A, I, D, E and N, holding it up for Adriana and Lydia to see.
Adriana looked a little upset because of how close she used to be to Ethan and Aiden.
Lydia typed in the key word Aiden, hitting enter.
The list uncoded again.

Beacon Hills High School - Lacrosse Field
Liam, Kira, Scott, Stiles and Ari stood nearby the bleachers.
"I talked to Coach," Liam told them. I'm out for the rest of the game."
Kira looked at Scott. "What are you gonna do?"
"I don't know," Scott told them.
"Something's still not right," Ari told them. "We're missing something."
Natalie walked closer. "Guys. Malia, Angel, Adriana and Lydia just broke another third of the list."
"Am I on it?" Liam asked.
"No," Natalie answered. "But someone else is."
Stiles looked around. "Wait, where's Stacie?"
"I saw Stacie go inside," Kira told them.
Scott, Stiles and Ari all exchanged one long look.
Tara was still watching from behind the bleachers, looking toward the school, looking toward the others, turning around, walking toward the school quickly.

Inside - Boys' Locker Room
A guard was unconscious in the doorway of the locker room.
Brett was on the floor of the locker room, barely able to move, trying to crawl across the floor, but his legs seemed to be paralyzed. He looked up, letting his eyes glow gold.
Violet walked closer. "You were cut with a poisoned blade. It was laced with wolfsbane." She spun the thermo-cut wire in her hands. "It won't kill you. But this will."
Brett looked at the thermo-cut wire, watching as it began to glow red, trying to crawl away. "Why? Why are you doing this?"
Violet kicked him in the side, making him stop. "Because you're worth a lot of money, Brett."
Violet stood over Brett, looping the thermo-cut wire around his neck, pulling tight, pressing the button/broach to make the wire glow again.

Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Angel was sitting at the desk, looking at a printout of the paper of the second part of the dead pool list, jumpy.
Jordan walked in.
Angel immediately folded the paper in half so that he wouldn't see, turning in her seat to look at him.
"Sorry, Angel, I was just seeing if you were okay," Jordan told her. "You need a ride home, Angel?"
Angel looked out of the window to the main part of the station to see Lydia, Malia and Adriana standing by the phone. She looked at Jordan, sighing, shaking her head. "Uh, sure. Just give me a minute."
Jordan nodded, walking out, leaving, closing the door behind him.
Angel turned back to the desk, opening the paper to look at the rest of the names on the list.
Jordan Parrish 7
Angelique Fain 7
Kira Yukimura 6
Natalie Lahey 10

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway
Stacie was heading for the bathroom, seeing the unconscious medic by the door of the boys' locker room, running closer, kneeling next to him, checking his pulse to see if he was alive. She stood slowly, taking out a knife, looking into the boys' locker room.

Boys' Locker Room
Stacie slowly walked in, alert and alarmed, seeing Brett on the floor, not knowing if he was dead or alive.
Brett gasped awake, looking behind Stacie.
Violet came up behind Stacie, hitting her in the head with the end of a lacrosse stick, making her fall to the floor and drop her knife.
Stacie groaned, rolling over to face Violet, sliding away from her. "Violet. Garrett's girlfriend. Should've saw that one coming."
"Hmm," Violet hummed sarcastically, pulling the thermo-cut wire loosely. Stacie reached for the knife. Violet kicked Stacie in the side, making her stop. She kicked the knife away from her. "He said we shouldn't try yet. But now I've got the anchor to kill the Alpha and one of the half-breeds. You're not worth much, but they're worth a lot of money. But if I kill you, I kill them and your brother, so, yeah, I guess that does mean you're worth more than they are, Stacie."
"You really are a money hungry, psychotic bitch, aren't you?" Stacie asked.
Violet stepped closer to Stacie.
Stacie slid back into the wall.
"I'm just glad this will be an easy kill," Violet told her.
"Easy kill?" Stacie repeated incredulously. "That actually hurts."
Violet yelled, running toward Stacie, raising the wire.
Stacie slid away from the wall, to the side, making Violet run past her into the wall. Stacie grabbed the knife from the floor. They both had their weapons, turning to face the other. When Violet wrapped the wire around Stacie's neck, Stacie held the knife up to her throat.
Violet smirked. "You wouldn't, Stacie. You're not a cold-blooded killer."
"You have no idea who I am," Stacie told her, pressing the blade harder against her throat, making her gasp.
Violet tightened the red hot wire around Stacie's neck angrily, making her stop, the heat searing her skin. She used one hand to push the knife to the floor.
Tara arrived, pulling Violet away from Stacie, making her stumble back.
Stacie fell to the floor.
The thermo-cut wire was now at regular temperature again, no longer red.
Violet tried to punch Tara. Tara ducked, gripping Violet by the throat, pushing her against the wall, hitting her head against the wall hard enough to knock her out. Tara let her go, letting her fall.
Stacie looked up in surprise.
Tara turned to face her. "Stacie, I can honestly say even I was impressed."
Stacie breathed a sigh of relief, pulling the wire away from her neck, above her head. "Tara, I can honestly say I've never been happier to see you in my life." Tara walked toward her, holding her hand out. Stacie took it, letting her help her up. "Tara, how did you..."
"Stacie, everyone on that list besides Lydia and Adriana, including Derek, is here at the school," Tara told her. "He's at the vault. But with all of the things happening, did you really believe I'd be anywhere else besides school, Stacie? I guess you can call this repayment for you saving me from being killed by Ennis."
Stacie smiled a small, breathless smile, holding her neck. "Thanks, Tara."
Tara nodded. "Of course."
Scott, Stiles and Ari ran inside.
Stacie and Tara looked toward them.
Scott, Stiles and Ari looked from the unconscious medic, to unconscious Brett, to unconscious Violet, to Stacie and Tara.
Stacie looked at Stiles. "I think we better call Dad in here."
Stacie dropped the wire on Violet's unconscious body, looking up to Tara, Scott, Stiles and Ari.

Argent Apartment Building - Basement
Severo and Chris still had their guns leveled at each other.
Araya walked closer. "The girl we hired to find Kate hasn't responded in days. You know her, don't you?"
"Braedan," Chris answered.
"Well, maybe your sister got to her," Araya told him. "Maybe killed her. Maybe we should stop hiring other people to do our work. Maybe we do it ourselves." She stepped between the two men, lowering their guns, turning to face Chris. "We're hunters, Christopher. All of us. We follow a code. Severo, what is our code?"
"We hunt those who hunt us," Severo answered.
Araya nodded. "Christopher? What is our code? Say it with me. We hunt those who hunt us." She raised her voice slightly. "What is our code? Remind him, Severo."
"We hunt those who hunt us," Severo told them.
"Say it, Christopher," Araya told him. Chris glared at them, turning away. Araya turned after him. "Say it for your wife, Victoria. For your daughter, Allison. Say the code. Speak the words. Say it! What is our code?"
Chris kept his back to them, looking angrily. "We hunt those who hunt us."
