chapter 12 - Smoke and Mirrors

From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the warehouse, Chris found a stalk of flowering wolfsbane.
Lydia: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"
From 4.05 "I.E.D.", in the Sheriff's Station, Scott, Stiles, Stacie and Ari were explaining to Sheriff.
"It's a dead pool," Scott told him. "A hit list of supernatural creatures."
From 4.05 "I.E.D.", in Stiles' room, Stiles wrote across the board. The Benefactor. He drew an outline of a human head, drawing a question mark where the face should have been, capping the marker.
Scott: (voice over from 4.07 Weaponized) "Why would someone use all this money just to kill us?"
From 4.09 "Perishing Angel", in the basement of Eichen House, Meredith stepped into view.
Tara: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "The Benefactor."
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the interrogation room, Peter was on the floor.
Jordan and Sheriff aimed their guns at Peter.
Angel and Lydia stood nearby.
Lydia looked at Peter. "It was your idea."
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in flashback, Meredith could hear Peter like he was standing right over her. "I will take out all of them!"
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the study of the lake house, Stiles put the key into the machines, turning it.
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the warehouse, Scott turned the screen toward Assassin 9 so he could see the text.
The Benefactor: All contracts terminated.
From 4.08 "Time of Death", in Scott's Mind Space, Scott and his hallucination of Tara were talking.
"I'm not a murderer," Scott told her.
"But you are a predator," Tara countered.
Scott shook his head. "No. You and Derek both told me and Ari before. We're predators. But we don't have to..."
Tara stood behind Scott, whispering into his ear. "To be killers?"
From 4.08 "Time of Death", in the loft, Stacie beat Derek at arm wrestling.
Derek: (voice over from 4.09 Perishing Angel) "My strength."
From 4.06 "Orphaned", in the clinic, Derek looked at the slash mark in his arm that wasn't healing.
Derek: (voice over from 4.09 Perishing Angel) "The healing. All of it."
Tara looked at Derek suspiciously.
Tara: (voice over from 4.09 Perishing Angel) "Gone?"
From 4.09 "Perishing Angel", in the loft, Derek and Tara were talking.
"Whatever Kate did to me, it's still happening," Derek told her.
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in the loft, Tara let her eyes glow blue, opening the door, snapping out her claws.
Stacie and Derek turned to stand on either side of her, aiming their guns outside.
Lydia was the one outside, soaked from the rain.
Tara let the glow from her eyes fade and her claws return to nails.
Stacie and Derek lowered their guns in confusion.
Lydia looked up, screaming a Banshee scream.
Stiles: (voice over from 4.06 Orphaned) "Banshees predict death."
From 4.06 "Orphaned", in Stiles' room, Lydia typed Derek's name into the code breaker box.
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the sewers, Peter and Kate were talking.
Peter watched as water dripped into the drain, holding out his hand to catch the droplets.
Kate walked closer. "You want to bail on the plan?"
"Not when I'm this close to killing Scott McCall and Arielle Martin," Peter told her.
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in the sewers, Adriana was still pinned to the wall by the pipe. She had tears in her eyes, hanging her head. "After everything that I did, I deserve to die. But they don't."
"Don't let yourself die and let your demons win, Adriana," Macey told her. "Keep fighting to make sure they lose."
Adriana became stronger with anger and grief and determination, looking up, letting her eyes glow completely purple, gripping the pipe in her stomach, starting to pull with all the remaining strength she had left.
Lydia and Macey started to pull with her.
Adriana was screaming from the pain, looking at the ceiling above her.
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in the loft, Scott and Tara were sitting on the couch, making out.
Tara stopped, pulling away, sensing something, looking behind her toward the window.
"Tara?" Scott asked. Ari and Stacie were thrown through the wall of windows, making them shatter, falling to the floor, landing on shards of glass, cut up, bleeding and weak, coughing up blood to the floor. They looked up at Scott and Tara. Scott and Tara were horrified and worried, standing, running closer. "Stacie! Ari!"
Later, Scott, Tara, Ari and Stacie were beaten up and bloody.
"We're all going to church," Kate told them.
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in the dungeon, Stacie woke in the dark giant, dungeon-like room, lying on a floor covered in bones and skeletons. Tara stood over her.
Scott: (voice over from 4.01 The Dark Moon) "Mexico."
From 4.02 "200", outside the school, a Berserker walked toward Angel.
Chris: (voice over from 3.20 Echo House) "You ever heard of the Berserkers?"
From 4.08 "Time of Death", on the roof of the hospital, a Berserker stalked toward Liam and Natalie.
Derek: (voice over from 3.20 Echo House) "They wore the skins of bears to channel their ferocity."
From 4.08 "Time of Death", in the hospital hallway, a Berserker was beating Tara.
Chris: (voice over from 3.20 Echo House) "They didn't just wear them. They became them."
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in the dungeon, Tara looked at Stacie, breathing heavily. "Kate's turning them into Berserkers."
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in La Iglasia, Scott and Ari were still chained down with wolfsbane, weakened. They had heard what Tara had told Stacie, struggling.
"No, Kate," Scott told her. "Don't."
Kate smiled, holding the bone mask above Ari dramatically.
Ari struggled. "No, don't!"
Kate put the mask over Ari's face.
Ari screamed from within the Berserker mask.
Scott screamed in anger, frustration, denial and horror.
From 4.11 "A Promise to the Dead", in the dungeon, Tara kicked the gate with as much strength as she could.
They could still hear Scott and Ari screaming.
Stacie looked outside. "Scott! Ari!"
Stacie's voice echoed down the corridors.

Day One
Morning - La Iglasia - Dungeon
Stacie and Tara were still trapped in the dungeon.
Tara was still kicking the gate door. She yelled, kicking the gate door one final time, breaking it open. She turned to look at Stacie. "We're getting out of here."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Corridor
Stacie and Tara walked through the dark corridor.
"Don't you think it's a little too easy that, after all night of trying to kick that thing open, it just pops open?" Stacie asked.
"If there's anything I learned from Scott and Ari, it's 'Don't say, 'Too easy''," Tara told her. They slowly, cautiously, looked around. "Scott?" Stacie looked around the edge of a wall. "Ari?"
They slowly walked forward, using the edge of the wall as a guide.
Something growled behind them, making them turn around.
"Did you hear that?" Stacie asked.
"Go," Tara told her.
Tara and Stacie ran down the pathway.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Elsewhere
Tara and Stacie ran into the room where Kate had turned Scott and Ari.
A Berserker was there.
Another Berserker walked in from behind them, trying to punch Tara. Tara turned around, catching its arm, grabbing both arms to push it back into the wall. Berserker 1 raised its arm above her head, hitting her in the head hard enough to make her stumble back, trying to punch her. Tara ducked, spinning around it to stand behind it. Berserker 1 turned to face Tara, running toward her, pushing her against the wall with so much force that her bones could be heard cracking.
Tara saw Ari's Yin/Yang necklace around Berserker 1's neck, horrified, realizing that it was Ari.
Stacie turned to look at Berserker 2, seeing Scott's tattoo around its arm. "Oh, my God. Scott?" She looked at Berserker!Ari. "Ari?"
Berserker!Ari let Tara fall, turning toward Stacie, lifting her up, pushing her against the wall hard enough she barely stayed awake.
Kate walked in, growling.
Berserker!Ari let Stacie fall, backing away to stand next to Berserker!Scott.
Kate walked closer, looking at Berserker!Ari. "You can't kill Stacie. She's your anchor, silly. How else will you stay alive until my goal is reached?" She looked at his tattoo. "I am going to have to do a better job of covering that up." She took Ari's Yin/Yang necklace off. "At least I can get rid of this easily." She tossed the necklace to the ground. She looked at Tara. "Not your best fight, Tara. Is that because you're weak and hungry and so far from home, or losing the one boy who's ever loved you, and your other student along with him?"
Tara glared at her. "Why did you do this to them?"
"How," Kate told them. "That's--that's the better story. See, when I first got away from the Calaveras, I had no idea where to go. But something kept pulling me here, to the temple of Tezcatipoca. It's name means, 'Smoke and mirrors', and this place is a temple of smoke and mirrors." She traced a design in the dust on the stone wall. "Obsidian." Tara looked up in recognition of the word. Kate walked toward Tara and Stacie. "When I got here, I found the Berserkers waiting for me. They helped me survive. And I didn't know quite why until just recently. Till I decided to trust someone I never thought I would trust."
"Let me guess," Tara told her. "Peter."
"That's right," Kate answered. "Your own uncle sold you out to try to kill Scott and Ari, Tara. How does that make you feel?"
"Angry," Tara answered. "But not shocked."
Kate clicked her tongue. "It was then that I could not only control the Berserkers, but..." She stood next to Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari, trailing her fingers over the bones covering their chests. "I could create them. They call me la loba." She looked at Tara. "I assume you know what that means, too?"
"The Bone Woman," Tara answered reluctantly. "The Calaveras captured us looking for you before we got out."
"Aw," Kate told her tauntingly. "But it's a good thing you managed to get your guys' way out this time. I need to test their loyalty. Did you know Scott became an Alpha without having to kill anyone? And that Ari became a half-Alpha because she was destined to be a half-breed, without killing? Oh, that's right. You were there. And you were there when they both went through quite a lot without ever having to kill. I think it's time to change that." She looked at Stacie."Not for you, of course, because I need you alive. How does it feel to be needed, Stacie?"
Stacie swallowed nervously. "Awesome, actually."
Kate looked at Berserker!Ari. "Take her away."
Berserker!Ari gripped Stacie, lifting her up, starting to carry her away.
Tara stood. "No. Let her go!"
Stacie struggled to turn back.
Berserker!Scott broke off a bone from his body, walking toward Tara, raising the bone to stab her. Tara reached up, catching his wrist, pulling herself up, spinning behind him. Berserker!Scott backed into Tara, the bones spiking from his back pushing Tara against the stone wall, shattering the stone. The bones were in the right side of her body, barely missing her heart. Tara gasped in pain and agony. Berserker!Scott walked forward, pulling the bones out of her body, letting her fall to the floor.
Tara fell to the floor, holes in her stomach and chest, bleeding profusely. Her eyes were drifting closed.
Stacie was unable to tell if Tara was dead or alive, horrified, screaming. "Tara!"
Stacie's scream echoed as she was taken away.
¤•¤°¤•¤
There was a black wolf with red eyes.
Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.
Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke, hitting the ground. Tyler Posey.
Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.
There was a hand held high with a claw on each finger.
Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.
Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.
Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.
Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.
On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.
Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring. Dust was falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.
On Derek's back, a triskele appeared.
Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.
Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.
A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.
A black wolf howled.
Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.
Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.
Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.
On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.
The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.
Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

Beacon Hills, California
Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Sheriff and Stiles were talking.
"Scott, Tara, Stacie and Ari have been kidnapped and taken to Mexico," Stiles told him. "I think that's a pretty good reason for a trip to Mexico."
"Not alone," Sheriff told him. "Okay? Even if Deaton and Angel are right about this..."
Stiles nodded. "Yeah."
"The best thing to do is to go through the proper channels," Sheriff told him.
"Dad..." Stiles trailed off.
"That means calling the right law enforcement agencies, border patrol, putting out an all-points," Sheriff told him. "I am going to do everything I can to get Stacie back home safely, Stiles. But there is no way that we can do that on our own."
"Dad, I can't just wait around for the wheels of bureaucracy to start spinning in five different government offices," Stiles told him. "Okay? Someone needs to go down there right now, find them and rescue them. I'm going."
"I can keep you from going," Sheriff told him.
"I'd find a way," Stiles told him.
"I can throw you into a cell," Sheriff told him.
"I'd still find a way," Stiles told him.
Sheriff sighed heavily. "Stiles, please. Look, I will call every law enforcement agency all the way down to South America if I have to. Then I'll book two flights to Mexico. We'll both go to get Stacie. Okay?"
Stiles nodded. "Okay, okay, great. Do I get a gun?"
Sheriff gave him a look. "No."
"Wha--" Stiles started. "Stacie has a gun, a knife and a crossbow."
"All things that Stacie got from a Werewolf hunter, and not her Sheriff of a father," Sheriff told him. "Wait for me. End of discussion, Stiles."

Hale Loft - Living Room
Derek was readying every gun he could get his hands on.
Peter walked down the stairs.
Derek sighed. "I still don't like relying on these things."
"I get it," Peter told him. "You miss your power. I would, too."
"It's not about power," Derek told him in annoyance. "It's about being able to help. I don't like feeling helpless."
"Do you really think you won't be coming back?" Peter asked.
"Not alive," Derek answered.
"And you're okay with that?" Peter asked.
"I am," Derek answered. "If it saves Tara, Stacie, Scott and Ari. But to be honest, I don't even know if this is enough firepower to take down one Berserker."
"Not even close," Peter told him. "Killing a Berserker is next to impossible. It's not just the firepower. It's breaking the animal spirit from the human."
"Well, the one person we know with that kind of experience is Argent," Derek told him. "And he's not getting back to me. Neither is Adriana."
"Well, if you can't get ahold of Adriana, then you're going to need help," Peter told him. "Like Angel and Kira and Malia and Natalie, maybe Liam. Definitely me."
Derek looked at Peter in annoyed suspicion.
Peter smirked.

McCall House - Scott's Room
Natalie was going through Scott's closet to find something she could use for scent, taking out a shirt, sniffing it. "Fabric softener."
Stiles walked into the bathroom, going to the dirty clothes hamper, opening the lid.
Malia and Natalie stood at the doorway, watching him expectantly.
Stiles went through what was inside, holding a pair of Scott's boxers toward them. "Here, try these." Malia made a face. Natalie raised her eyebrows, shaking her head. "Remember, our friends' lives are on the line." Natalie turned around, looking around, walking toward the bed, picking up the pillow, sniffing Scott's scent, looking at Stiles significantly, tilting her head. "Yeah, that works, too, Natalie."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Living Room
Natalie, Stiles and Malia ran downstairs, walking around the corner toward the backdoor.
Liam was there.
"Ah, Liam, go home," Natalie told him. "You're not coming with us."
"Why not, Natalie?" Liam asked.
"'Cause it's a full moon, and do you remember our little talk last night about Berserkers?" Natalie asked.
Stiles, Malia and Natalie walked around him, turning to face him.
"That, and I don't feel like driving all the way down to Mexico just to have him rip my throat out," Stiles told him.
"We can lock me up, right?" Liam asked. "Chain me up in the backseat or something."
"You tore through the last chains, remember?" Malia asked.
"Very easily, I might add," Natalie told them.
Malia nodded, pointing at Natalie.
"Yeah, we'd have to freeze you in carbonite to get you down there," Stiles told him.
"What the hell is carbonite?" Natalie asked.
"And where do we get carbonite?" Liam asked.
Stiles looked from Liam to Natalie in disappointment. "Seriously? Neither of you have seen it, either?"
Stiles started to walk for the door.
"Wait, Natalie," Liam told her, walking closer, standing in front of Natalie. Natalie sighed, looking at him in concern, wanting to give him a chance to help, but also worried about him. "What if we put me in the trunk?"
"You'd get out of that, too," Malia told him.
"Liam, you've been a Werewolf for all of five minutes, so you don't have to do this," Stiles told him.
"I know I don't, but I want to, Natalie," Liam told her. "And there's gotta be bigger chains, a bigger trunk or something. There has to be."
Natalie tilted her head. "Maybe there is."

Beacon Hills Animal Clinic - Backroom
Adriana sat up from the table, groaning in pain.
Macey and Lydia were standing next to her on either side, helping her sit up.
Chris, Angel and Jordan stood nearby.
Chris was watching worriedly, concerned about Adriana's state after what happened in the tunnels.
"Peter Hale did this?" Jordan asked.
"Yeah," Adriana answered. "I could've easily kicked his ass if one of the Berkserkers weren't there to back him up and I didn't feel the pain of the other Berserker tearing Ari apart."
"And if you didn't have a death wish that almost got you killed not once but twice," Lydia told her.
"Thanks, Lyd," Adriana told her sarcastically. She looked at the others. "After the talk Lydia and my mom gave me, I'm pretty sure I'm cured of the death wish."
"You better be, Adri," Macey told her.
"And now Ari, Scott, Tara and Stacie are missing," Chris told them.
"Right, but this time, it's not about Stacie," Angel told them. "Kate and the Berserkers took her so that she wouldn't be able to warn the others about Tara, Scott and Ari being in danger before they were ready for the others to know. They didn't count on Deaton having a vision from a guy with a third eye."
"Right, Angel, but what's their plan?" Macey asked. "I mean, why would they go through all of this trouble just to take them, Angel?"
"Kate hates Scott, Ari, Tara and the Hale family for what happened to our family," Chris answered. "Peter..."
"He wants to become the Alpha again," Adriana told them. "It was Peter's bite that gave Scott and Ari their power. It's his bite that can take it away."
"Then we have to go," Lydia told them. "No one is getting back to my calls and texts. We have to get there before something happens."
Adriana stood. "I have Ari's scent on lock. I need Scott and Stacie's scents. If I find them, I can find Tara, and maybe this will be over."
"All right," Angel told them. "Lydia and I will head to the school to get something of Scott and Stacie's for Adriana to track. We'll be back. If we're not back in time before you need to leave, go ahead without us. Adriana, you still have Ari's scent. You find Ari, you find Scott, Stacie and Tara, Adriana."
Lydia nodded, looking at Angel. "Come on, Angel."
"Angel," Jordan told her. Angel looked at him. "Be careful, Angel."
"You, too," Angel told him.
Lydia and Angel walked out, leaving.
Chris and Macey looked at Adriana worriedly. "Adriana..."
Adriana nodded. "I'm okay. Promise."
Chris and Macey weren't entirely convinced, mostly because Adriana didn't trace her double infinity sign tattoo when she made the promise like she usually did when she made promises, but they were sure that Adriana would be okay soon.

Warehouse
Stiles' Jeep was parked inside.
Kira, Natalie, Liam, Malia and Stiles were waiting.
A prison transport van drove inside, pulling over.
Braedan got out of the car, walking toward them.
"How'd you get a prison transport van?" Kira asked.
"I'm a US Marshall," Braedan answered.
"Yeah, I just thought that was just a cover," Kira told her.
Derek and Peter got out of Derek's car, walking closer.
Derek looked at Natalie, gesturing to Liam. "We really bringing him?"
Natalie looked at Derek, gesturing to Peter. "We really bringing him?"
"We're bringing everyone we can," Peter told her. "And considering Scott, Arielle, Tara and Stacie were taken the night before a full moon, we should probably get going."
"What's that mean?" Malia asked.
"If Kate took them back to the same temple she took Derek, how do we know she's not planning to do the same thing to Arielle, Scott and Tara?" Peter asked.
"She wants to make them younger?" Liam asked.
"Or take Scott and Ari back to when they weren't Werewolf and take Tara's power away like she did to me," Derek told them.
"A Werewolf can't steal a True Alpha's power, or a half-breed's," Peter told them. "But maybe a Nagual jaguar with the power of Tezcatlipoca behind her... Maybe she can. So if everyone is sufficiently freaked out, I say we get going."

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway
Lydia and Angel walked up to Scott and Stacie's lockers, putting in the combinations, pulling out something that belonged to them.
Angel inhaled, sighing.
"I hope this works, Angel," Lydia told her.
"It better work," Angel told her.
Lydia sighed, nodding in agreement. "Yeah."
"Let's go," Angel told her.
They hear a Berserker growling.
Lydia gasped, ducking just as the Berserker punched Scott's locker closed. "Angel!"
The Berserker tried to punch Angel. Angel raised her skateboard above her head to block the move. The Berserker's fist broke the skateboard in half.
Angel turned to look at Lydia behind her. "Lydia, run!"

Warehouse
Kira, Malia, Natalie, Liam, Stiles, Peter, Derek and Braedan were getting ready to leave.
Stiles took out one of Stacie's shirts. "All right, I got Stacie's scent." He looked at Derek. "You got her crossbow?"
Derek pulled the crossbow out, nodding. "Yeah."
"Let's go," Peter told them.
They walked toward the prison transport van and Peter's car.
Stiles turned to talk to Malia. "I need to be back there with Derek, Liam and Natalie. I've got some experience dealing with out-of-control teen wolves. You'll be okay riding with Peter?"
"He is my father," Malia told him. "Maybe we could do some bonding."
Stiles shook his head. "No. No bonding. Play the radio. Play it loud."
Malia nodded in agreement.
Liam and Natalie were talking.
Liam stopped Natalie. "Natalie, why do you really not want me to go?" Natalie didn't answer, exhaling, looking away. "Natalie."
Natalie sighed, looking at him. "Because I don't want you to get hurt. You're scared of these things, and that can lead to hesitation, and that can lead to death."
"Then I won't hesitate, Natalie," Liam told her.
Natalie put her hands to her head, closing her eyes, shaking her head, overwhelmed. "It's not that easy all the time."
"I know," Liam told her. Natalie lowered her hands to her sides. "You're going, Natalie, and I'm coming with you."
Natalie looked up at him, sighing. "I know I can't stop you. You'd find a way." Liam nodded expressively. "Okay, fine. Just, whatever you do, don't save me."
"Boyd died saving your life because he thought it was a good way to die, the best way to die, dying for the girl he loved," Liam told her. Natalie looked away. "It wasn't your fault, Natalie. It was his decision. And if that's my decision, you can't blame yourself." He leaned closer. "I'd never let you die."
Liam kissed Natalie slowly, sweetly, reassuringly. Natalie returned the kiss. They pulled away.
"That better not be a goodbye kiss," Natalie told him.
Liam smiled. "Absolutely not."
Natalie smiled.
Peter spoke to them all. "Remember what we're dealing with here. It's not just Kate. It's the Berserkers. You might see human eyes behind those skulls. Do not assume there's any humanity left." Liam looked away, at Natalie. Natalie gave him a sympathetic look. Peter looked at Liam. "Oh. This little one is terrified of them, aren't you?" Liam didn't answer. "Don't worry, my friend. It is that fear that will keep you alive. A reminder to everyone, you do not fight Berserkers to survive. You fight to kill."

Prison Transport Van
Braedan was driving.
Kira was in the passenger seat.
Natalie, Liam, Stiles and Derek were in the back.
Natalie was fastening the strong handcuffs around Liam's wrists, that had long, strong chains chained to the wall. "All good?"
Liam pulled hard on the chains. Nothing happened. He looked at Natalie, nodding.
"Okay," Derek told them, taking something out of his pocket. "I brought something to help you." Natalie looked at the Triskelion. "This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful supernatural talisman. We use it to teach Betas how to remain in control on the full moon."
Derek handed the Triskelion to Liam, looking at Natalie.
Natalie gave him a weird look.
Derek gave Natalie a look, nodding to Liam for her to play along, knowing that Liam trusted her more than anyone.
"Yes, it's powerful," Natalie told them, giving Derek a look because she didn't want to have to lie. Natalie looked at Liam. "It's very powerful."
Liam looked up, nodding.

Beacon Hills High School - Hallway
Mason was in school after a study group, walking down the hallway toward the doors. He saw Angel's broken skateboard on the stairs, walking closer in confusion, seeing that Lydia and Angel's phones were next to it. He picked up Lydia's phone, turning the screen on to see a picture of the Berserker. "What the hell?"
The Berserker walked closer, towering over Mason, growling.
Mason looked at him in shock.

Night - On the Road
(Song:) Hard Time - Seinabo Sey
Peter's Car and the prison transport van were driving down the road.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Peter's Car
Peter was driving.
Malia was in the passenger seat, listening to the music loudly like Stiles had told her to do.
"Do you mind if I turn the radio down?" Peter asked. Malia shook her head. Peter turned the radio down. "You worried about Stiles?"
"I'm worried about everyone," Malia answered.
"Do I need to be worried about you?" Peter asked. "We have to go through the Berserkers to get to Kate. Then we have to go through Kate to get to Scott and Tara, and Stacie and Arielle. Trust me, it's going to get messy."
"Scott and Ari say we don't kill people," Malia told him.
"You think Scott would kill to save Tara?" Peter asked. "Would you kill to save Tara? Tara is your cousin, after all. Would you kill to save Stiles? Or his sister, Stacie. Your older cousin Derek happens to be in love with Stacie, your best friend? Do you think 'Ari' would kill to save them all? Stacie is her best friend. And I'm sure you're well aware of Adriana's violent history with the Alpha Pack. If Adriana's killed before for less dire reasons, don't you think that Adriana would kill to save someone Adriana loves? Adriana may be trying hard to redeem herself, but a history like that never goes away." Malia didn't answer, looking out of the window. "What is it?"
"The full moon," Malia answered.
"Good," Peter told her. "You'll need that power."

Prison Transport Van
The moon was peaked.
Braedan was driving.
Kira was in the passenger seat.
Liam, Natalie, Derek and Stiles were in the back.
Liam suddenly pulled at the chains, growling.

Stiles jumped.
Everyone looked at Liam.
Liam's clawed hand held the Triskelion tightly. "Whatever you're gonna teach me..." He breathed heavily, looking up, letting his eyes glow gold. "I think you better start."

La Iglasia - Corridor
Tara finally woke from nearly being killed. She gasped, holding a hand over her wounds.
They were slowly healing.
Tara saw the stone shattered from earlier, picking up a piece. "Obsidian." She looked up, breathing heavily. "Kira." She looked around. She saw Ari's Yin/Yang necklace on the ground, weakly pulling herself toward it, picking the necklace up. "Ari." Tara was holding her wounds, groaning in pain. She saw a hallucination of a black wolf walk in in her weakened, blood-lost state. The black wolf let her eyes glow red. Tara looked at the black wolf in confusion. "Mom?"
The black wolf transformed into a fully-clothed Talia Hale. "You were never one to cry, Tara. But it's all right to. It's no measure of your strength."
Tara was breathing heavily, holding her wounds. "Crying's for the weak. I'm not weak. I need to get up. I need to tell them..."
"Do you know why it's taking you this long to heal?" Talia asked.
"I'm nearly dead," Tara answered. "After all the people that have tried to kill me, Kate's the closest one to the finish point."
"And she made Scott do it," Talia told her. "You know that this isn't his fault. You know that he has no control over his actions. Neither him nor Arielle. But after everything that happened, you're in shock that it would be the one that you love to kill you. You've been through more than your fair share of pain, Tara. But in order to heal, to live, you need to trigger more."
Tara closed her eyes, exhaling, focusing on making herself heal, starting to pound her fist on the broken stone wall next to her, making the broken stone cut into her arm and hand, groaning in pain, watching the blood drip from every open wound. She looked up, letting her eyes glow blue.

Beacon Hills High School - Basement
Mason was sleeping on the floor.
Lydia and Angel were kneeling next to him, making sure he was alive, waking him up.
"Are you okay?" Lydia asked.
Mason held his head in pain. "My head."
"Yeah, it's probably gonna hurt a lot," Angel told him.
Mason sat up. "There was this guy, Angel. Huge. Really huge. He had a skull over his face."
"Yeah, we know," Lydia told him. "We saw it too."
Mason felt around his pockets. "My phone's gone."
"Yeah, I think that's the point," Angel told him.
"Okay, well, what's he's gonna do to us?" Mason asked.
"I don't know," Angel told him. "But it definitely doesn't want us to leave."
Mason looked between Lydia and Angel. "Angel, why do you guys keep saying 'it'?" They didn't answer. The Berserker growled. Angel slowly stood, putting her back against the wall, looking behind the corner, but she couldn't see it. Lydia and Mason stood. "What is that thing?"
Lydia stood next to Angel. "Not human."

On the Road
Peter's Car and the prison transport van drove down the road.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Prison Transport Van
Braedan was driving.
Kira was in the passenger seat.
Liam, Natalie, Stiles and Derek were in the back.
Liam looked up, sweating, breathing heavily.
"Liam, you with me?" Derek asked. "We have a mantra that we use. Repeat it and focus on the words, like meditating. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you."
"Okay," Liam told them, groaning, pulling on the chains. "Okay, okay. What are the words?"
"Okay, look at the Triskelion," Derek told him. "You see the symbol? I have a tattoo of it on my back. Tara has a tattoo of it on the back of her hand. It's the same thing. Each spiral means something."
Natalie remembered this from when Derek and Tara had taught Isaac, Erica, Boyd and her in 2.09 Party Guessed. "Alpha, Beta, Omega."
"It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another," Derek told him. "Betas can become Alphas."
"Alphas can become Betas," Natalie added.
"And Alphas can become Omegas," Stiles finished.
"All you have to do is say the three words," Derek told him. "With each one, you tell yourself you're getting calmer, more in control. Go ahead."
Liam nodded, breathing heavily. "Alpha, Beta--"
"Slower," Derek told him.
"Alpha, Beta, Omega," Liam told them slowly. "Alpha, Beta, Omega."
"Good, say it again," Derek told him. "Remember every time you say the words, you're getting calmer."
Liam's voice was deep, monstrous. "Alpha, Beta, Omega."
Stiles cringed back, bringing his legs on the bench. "Uh-oh."
Derek looked at Liam. "Say it again."
"Derek, I don't that powerful talisman of self-control is working," Stiles told him.
Liam let his eyes glow gold, growling.
"Liam, say it again," Derek told him.
Liam growled, trying to pull free, making the van swerve on the road. He pulled one arm free.
"Whoa," Stiles told them.
Braedan regained control of the van.
"Natalie?" Kira asked.
"Hey, we're gonna need to get there a lot faster," Stiles told them.
Liam tried to slash Derek.
Natalie caught Liam's arm, standing, pushing it against the wall of the van behind him.
¤•¤°¤•¤
¤•¤°¤•¤
Liam struggled to get his arm free.
Derek looked at Braedan and Kira in the front. "Keep going."
Liam broke his other arm free, making the van swerve on the road.
Natalie held both his arms, pushing them back on either side of him. "Help me!"
Derek and Stiles stood, helping Natalie restrain Liam to the wall.
"We're almost there," Braedan told them.
Kira looked at them worriedly.

Peter's Car
Peter was driving.
Malia was in the passenger seat, feeling the effects of the full moon, but able to control herself and stay human.
"You're trying to stay in control?" Peter asked.
"Trying to stay human," Malia answered.
Peter sighed. "That's exactly your problem. They all have you thinking that control and humanity are the same for us. Now, let me give you some fatherly advice. If you're gonna face something as animal as a Berserker and try to win, you need to focus on the animal inside you. You'll need every ounce of ferocity and savagery you can muster. You'll need it all."
Malia looked at him in suspicion.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Prison Transport Van
Braedan was driving.
Kira was in the passenger seat.
Derek, Natalie and Stiles were keeping Liam pinned to the wall of the van in the back.
Liam was still struggling to get free.
"I really don't think 'Alpha, Beta, Omega's resinating with him," Stiles told them.
"Do you know any other mantras?" Derek replied.
"Stiles might not, but I do," Natalie told them. "Liam. Liam! What three things can not long be hidden? Liam! Liam, look at me. What three things can not long be hidden? What three things?"
Liam tried to calm himself down, his voice deep, monstrous. "The sun, the moon, the truth."
The glow faded from his eyes. He was calmer, breathing heavily, no longer fighting them.
"That's it," Natalie told him. "Say it again."
"The sun, the moon, the truth," Liam told them.
His claws were starting to return to nails.
Natalie exhaled in relief, letting go, sitting down.
"Natalie?" Kira asked.
Natalie looked at them. "We're okay."
"The sun, the moon, the truth," Liam told them.
Stiles put a hand on Natalie's shoulder in relief. "Congratulations, Natalie. You stopped your boyfriend from killing us all."
Natalie turned her head to give Stiles a seriously? look.
Liam looked up, completely human, calm.

Prison Transport Van
Braedan and Kira were in the front, looking back at the others.
"I can't believe I did it," Liam told them. He chuckled, looking from Stiles to Derek. "For a minute there, I thought I was gonna tear the two of you apart." He looked at Natalie. "Natalie, if it hadn't been for you..."
Stiles nodded sarcastically. "Yeah, that would've made it an awkward ride home." He looked at Natalie, patting her on the shoulder. "So, thanks, Natalie."
Derek looked at Liam. "Think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglasia?"
Liam swung his hand down, claws on each finger.
"All right, we might actually be able to do this," Natalie told them.
Derek stood, opening the door.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Outside
A Berserker stood outside, growling, grabbing Derek, throwing him on the ground, pushing him into the rock behind him, slashing into his stomach three times.
Natalie jumped out of the back of the van, running closer. "Derek!"
Liam and Kira ran closer.
Natalie and Liam pulled the Berserker away from Derek. The Berserker tried to hit them. Kira raised her katana to block the move, spinning in the air, slashing into it.
Braedan shot the Berserker repeatedly.
Natalie covered her eyes from the brightness.
Natalie, Liam and Kira tried not to get shot.
Braedan continued to shoot the Berserker.
The Berserker ran away, leaving.
Everyone ran toward him, Peter and Malia included.
Natalie knelt next to Derek worriedly.
"How bad is it?" Peter asked.
"I'm fine, I'm fine," Derek told them. "Just... Just get to Tara, Stacie, Ari and Scott. Just find them. I'll be right behind you. Go." No one moved. "Go!"
Peter walked toward the Church.
Malia, Kira and Liam followed.
Natalie stood, looking at Braedan, pointing at Derek. "Stay with him."
Braedan nodded.
Stiles and Natalie started to follow the others.
"Hey," Derek told them. Stiles and Natalie stopped, looking at Derek. "Save them."
Stiles and Natalie hesitated, looking at Derek worriedly, but deciding to honor his wishes and save Scott, Ari, Stacie and Tara, their friends, Stiles' sister, and Derek's sister, they walked inside.

Peter led Malia, Liam, Kira, Stiles and Natalie inside. "This way."
They followed him.

Inside
Stiles, Natalie, Malia, Kira and Liam were still following Peter.
"Okay, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop," Peter told them. "We gotta figure out where we are, then figure out where to find Arielle, Scott, Stacie and Tara."
Stiles' phone rang. He pulled it out. "How the hell do I even have service down here?" He answered his phone, walking away. "Hi, Dad." Peter looked at them, gesturing to Stiles in a seriously? way. Natalie shook her head. "Okay, Dad, I know you're angry."
"Oh, I'm beyond angry," Sheriff told him. He was in the Sheriff's Office. "I have reached a level of fury you could not possibly comprehend."
"Okay, well, when I get back, you can ground me," Stiles told him.
"Ground you?" Sheriff repeated. "Ground you? I am going to hobble you! I told you to wait for me so I could go with you to save Stacie without putting you in danger too."
"I left without you because I didn't want you to be in danger," Stiles told him.
"That's not your choice, Stiles," Sheriff told him. "Now, please, just tell me you're all right. Tell me that you're safe."
"You want me to lie?" Stiles asked.
Sheriff sighed. "Oh, God. Okay. I heard an alarm go off at the school. I watched the video surveillance. A Berserker there has kidnapped Lydia, Angel and Mason."
"I don't know what I'm doing," Stiles told him. "I'm just trying to save my friends and my sister."
"Okay," Sheriff told him. "I'll find Lydia, Angel and Mason. You get Scott, Ari, Stacie and Tara. You save your friends and sister."
"Dad, if it really is one of the Berserkers at the school, you're gonna need fire power," Stiles told him. "A lot."
Stiles hung up, walking toward the others.
Kira sighed. "What do we do now?"
Natalie behind Kira, grabbing her shoulders, making them both kneel to the floor. "Duck!"
Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari ran closer, slashing toward them.
"Get down!" Peter told them. "Go, go!" Natalie and Malia stood, running away. Kira, Liam, Stiles and Peter followed. "Go, go, go, go!"
Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari followed.

Outside
Derek was sitting on the ground weakly.
Braedan moved him gently over to a water fountain. "Can you still pull a trigger?"
"Yeah," Derek answered.
Braedan pulled out a handgun. "All right." She handed it to Derek. "Stay awake. You're gonna be okay."
"It's a mortal wound, and right now I'm feeling pretty mortal," Derek told her.
They heard growling in the distance.
Around the corner of the building, Kate led a Berserker out into the open.
The Berserker was carrying Stacie.
They walked out of the fog.
Stacie struggled, trying to get free. "I said let me go!"
Derek and Braedan heard them.
Derek breathed heavily, weakly in worry. "Stacie."
Braedan stood, picking up her shotgun, walking toward the corner of the Church.
Kate turned to face the Berserker and Stacie. "As you wish."
The Berserker threw Stacie to the ground.
Stacie groaned in pain, sliding away. She looked up at the Berserker, glaring, breathing heavily.

Beacon Hills High School - Basement
Mason, Lydia and Angel were sitting against the wall.
"I don't hear it," Angel whispered. She nodded for them to follow. "Come on."
"No, no, Angel," Mason told her. "There's only one way out on this side of the basement."
"I know," Lydia whispered. "But if we don't get out of here, someone's going to die."
"How do you know that?" Mason asked.
"I just do," Lydia told him. "We have to at least see if he's blocking the exit." Angel slowly, cautiously leaned forward to see around the corner of the wall. The Berserker stepped in front of the door. Lydia pulled Angel back. "Angel!"
Angel sat back quickly. "Yep, yeah, it's blocking it."
The Berserker growled.

Stiles, Natalie, Malia, Kira, Liam and Peter were still running, running into the room that Kate had turned Scott and Ari.
"Go, go, go, go!" Peter told them.
Natalie tossed Stacie's crossbow to Stiles. "Go find Ari, Stacie, Scott and Tara. Go!"
Stiles turned around, running away.
Malia and Natalie turned around, ready to fight.
Liam turned around.
Kira turned, drawing her sword.
Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari hit stone out of the way, walking closer.
Peter was hiding for now.
Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari stopped walking, growling, looking at Kira, Malia, Natalie and Liam.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Outside
Stacie was still on the ground.
The Berserker and Kate stood over her.
Braedan stepped out of hiding from behind the wall of the Church, firing her shotgun at the Berserker and Kate.
Stacie stayed as low as she could on the ground to not be hit, sliding back in Braedan's direction.
The Berserker ran toward Braedan.
Braedan ran out of ammo, throwing the shotgun to the side, drawing two hand guns, shooting.
The Berserker grabbed Braedan by her throat, pushing her against the wall, lifting her off the ground, making her drop the guns.
Kate stood next to them, shifted, looking at Braedan. "How much did they pay you?"
Stacie weakly pulled herself toward them.
"Way more than you're worth," Braedan told her.
Stacie grabbed the two guns on the ground, pulling them on Kate, firing.
Kate groaned, turning toward Stacie in anger, walking closer.
Adriana ran closer, tackling Kate to the ground, pushing her away from Stacie, standing. "Stay the hell away from her."
Stacie looked at her in relief. "Adriana?" Adriana walked toward her. "Adriana."
Cars pulled up. A lot of them.
Calavera hunters got out of the cars, speaking Spanish, firing at Kate and the Berserker.
Braedan fell to the ground.
Adriana held her hands toward Stacie. Stacie took them, letting her help her out of the way of fire. They leaned back against the wall of the Church next to Braedan. The three girls watched the firefight, breathing heavily.
Jordan pulled up in his Deputy car, firing his own hand gun.
Chris got out of the passenger seat, having an automatic like the Calaveras.
Kate turned away, running past Adriana, Stacie and Braedan.
The Calaveras ran after her.
Chris ran toward Adriana, Stacie and Braedan, looking at Adriana. "Adriana, get inside. Save them."
Adriana started to stand. "Got it."
Stacie grabbed her arm. "Adriana. Wait, Adri." Adriana looked at Stacie in confusion. "There's something you need to know about Scott and Ari, Adriana."

Inside - Corridor
Tara was running through the corridors.
Stiles was walking, shining his flashlight around. "Stacie? Scott?" He walked around a corner, shining the flashlight around. "Ari? Tara?" Tara ran toward Stiles from behind. Stiles didn't know it was her, turning around, jumping, aiming Stacie's crossbow at her, firing. Tara caught the arrow before it impaled her. Stiles realized who it was, sighing. "God, you really have to stop doing that." Tara was breathing heavily, giving him a look. Stiles was horrified and worried by her blood-covered appearance. "Tara, are you okay?"
"It's Scott and Ari," Tara told him. "Stiles, it's Scott and Ari."
"What?" Stiles asked.
"The Berserkers, it's Scott and Ari," Tara told him. "It's them. Kate did it. Peter taught her to do it."
"What are you talking about?" Stiles asked.
"She made them into one of them," Tara told him. "I don't know how, but it's them."
"How do you know?" Stiles asked.
"Oh, my God, Stiles, I just know," Tara told him in exasperation. "And the others don't know. They could kill them. They won't know that they're killing them. I heard you guys arrive. What happened to Derek?" Stiles looked uncomfortable and sympathetic, hurt, and he didn't want to tell Tara that her brother was dead. . "What happened to my brother, Stiles?"

Elsewhere
Natalie, Malia, Kira, Liam and Peter were fighting with Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari.
Peter punched Berserker!Scott. Berserker!Scott punched him, making him fall.
Natalie ran closer, pushing Berserker!Ari back. Berserker!Ari punched Natalie hard enough to make her slide back across the floor.
Malia spun to kick Berserker!Scott. Berserker!Scott took Malia by her shoulders, pushing her back.
Liam punched Berserker!Ari in the chest with little to no effect.
Kira spun through the air, swinging her sword, clashing it into both Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari.

Outside
The hunters were still shooting Kate and the Berserker, fighting them, Chris and Jordan too.
Kate hid behind a car.
The Berserker hit two hunters, making them scream.
Braedan led Stacie over to where Derek was by the water fountain that they were using to as cover from the bullets.
Stacie knelt next to Derek, looking at him worriedly. "Oh, my God. Derek. Derek."
Derek looked at Stacie weakly, realizing it was her, smiling of relief. "Stacie. Stacie, you're okay."
"I'm okay," Stacie told him, taking his hands. "And you're gonna be too.'
"Stacie, is Tara..." Derek trailed off weakly.
"I don't know," Stacie told him. "But you're gonna stay with me, so that we can find Tara together. Okay? You're gonna get your sister back. I just need you to stay with me." Derek was drifting off. Stacie started to breathe heavier in denial and panic, feeling for his pulse. She was in denial, devastated, crying. "Derek?"

Beacon Hills High School - Basement
The Berserker was still blocking the door, growling.
Angel walked up to three aluminum bats in a basket, grabbing one.
Lydia and Mason stood next to her.
"Angel, are you serious?" Mason asked.
"Very," Angel answered.
"A baseball bat, Angel?" Mason asked. "Against that guy, or thing, or whatever it is?"
"Angel, your skateboard didn't do much good," Lydia told her.
"My skateboard wasn't aluminum," Angel replied. "Our friends are in trouble." She looked at Mason. "And so is your best friend. And so is my uncle, who's trying to be a hero and help everyone. They need us. We're going for it."
Angel led the way with one baseball bat.
Lydia grabbed a baseball bat, following Angel, tilting her head. "And, yes, with baseball bats."
Angel and Lydia walked toward the Berserker, ready.
Angel brought the bat up, about to swing.
Mason grabbed a baseball bat, screaming, running past Angel and Lydia, swinging the bat at the Berserker twice. The Berserker hit the bat out of his hands, backhand punching Mason in the face, making him fall into the wall and then to the floor.
Lydia yelled, hitting the Berserker with the baseball bat twice. The Berserker backhand punched Lydia in the face, making her fall into the wall and land on the floor next to Mason.
Angel used her bat to hit the Berserker repeatedly, swinging it around to hit him over and over.
Mason looked at Lydia. "I thought you said it wanted to keep us here, not hurt us."
The Berserker punched Angel in the face, making her groan in pain.
"I think it changed its mind," Lydia told them, whimpering.
They heard Sheriff's voice. "Excuse me." Everyone looked at him. Sheriff held up a Claymore mine. "I have something that might help."
"Go!" Angel told him.
Sheriff ran away.
Angel ran toward the bomb, activating it.
Mason and Lydia ran into hiding.
Angel turned to face the Berserker with the bomb.
Lydia, Mason and Sheriff were hiding from the blast of the explosion that Angel was caught in the middle of. They stood, walking closer.
Angel was still standing with the bomb in her hands, in the barest remains of clothes, covered in explosive powder.
The Berserker had been blown apart.
Mason looked at Angel in shock. "Angel, how the hell did you survive that?"
"I'll let you know when I know the answer myself," Angel told him.
Sheriff looked between them, taking off his jacket to wrap around Angel. "You all okay, Angel?"
Angel nodded.
Sheriff picked up the skull mask.
Lydia looked at Angel. "It was after us. It wanted us to stay in Beacon Hills. I think this is all some sort of distraction."
"Because we knew they're trying to kill someone," Angel finished.
"Kill who?" Mason asked.
Lydia hesitated. "The Alpha and the half-breeds."

The fight continued in the room where Kate had turned Scott and Ari.
Liam punched Berserker!Scott.
Malia slashed toward Berserker!Ari.
Peter punched Berserker!Scott.
Natalie kicked Berserker!Ari, making her stumble only slightly.
Kira slashed her sword into both of them.
Natalie and Liam ran toward Berserker!Ari, pushing her against the beam behind her.
Malia and Peter ran toward Berserker!Scott, pushing him against the beam behind him.
Peter looked at Kira."Take them! Aim for the skulls! Kill them! Kill them now!"
Kira raised her sword, aiming for Berserker!Ari's skull, set to kill her.
Stiles and Tara ran in.
"No, no, wait, Kira!" Stiles told her. "Wait!"
Adriana ran in from the other side of the room, catching Kira by the arms before she impaled Berserker!Ari in the skull, throwing the sword down, stopping Kira from killing her twin sister. "Wait, no!"
"It's Scott and Ari," Tara told them.
They looked at Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari in disbelief.
Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari pushed Peter, Malia, Natalie and Liam off of them to the ground.
Berserker!Ari walked toward Adriana.
"Ari," Natalie told her. "Ari, don't!"
"Scott, it's me," Stiles told him.
Berserker!Scott punched Stiles in the face, making him fall.
Berserker!Ari picked Adriana up, growling, pushing her against the wall.
"Ari, don't!" Natalie told her.
"Ari," Adriana told her.
Peter watched them, smirking.

Outside
Everything was quiet. No gun fire, no growling, no fighting. Everyone was looking around, in cover.
Stacie and Derek were still by the water fountain.
Stacie was crying, holding his head, leaning her head against his forehead, closing her eyes. She wanted to scream in grief and devastation, but she knew that would draw the attention of Kate and the Berserker who wanted to kill her, and maybe the gunfire of the hunters who wanted to kill them.
A hunter walked forward with his gun. Kate came out of hiding, growling, slashing his chest, killing him.
Gunfire started again.
Braedan and Chris were shooting at Kate.
The Berserker slashed into a hunter repeatedly, killing him.
Kate snapped someone's neck.
Jordan shot at the Berserker, getting behind cover. "They're not going down. There's no way through that armor and I'm running out of ammo."
Chris got behind cover, dropping his automatic, taking out a silver hand gun, taking out a rare yellow wolfsbane bullet, putting it in.
Stacie was sobbing, crying against Derek's chest.
Kate appeared behind Stacie, grabbing her by the head, forcing her head under the water of the nearby water fountain, trying to drown her.
Stacie struggled uselessly, trying to scream for help, but no one could hear through the muffled water, the fighting and the gunfire. She slowly stopped fighting, not because she wanted too, but because she was too close to death. She closed her eyes. Her mouth opened, letting the water in.

Stiles was the first to faint, falling to the floor. He wasn't breathing.
"Adriana, what's happening?" Malia asked.
Berserker!Scott gasped for breath, fainting, falling.
Tara knelt next to Berserker!Scott. "No, no, no, no, no."
Berserker!Ari swayed, letting Adriana go, letting her fall, falling to the floor.
Natalie caught Adriana, helping her stand.
Malia knelt next to Stiles.
Adriana knelt next to Berserker!Ari. "Natalie, it's Stacie." She was trying not to cry in devastation and realiation, holding her sister's body close to her even though she was in the animal bones and skins. "It has to be Stacie, Nattie."
"Oh, my God, Adriana," Natalie told her. "Adri, this can't be happening."
Tara glared toward Peter, keeping her emotions reigned in. "It is, Natalie."
Peter seemed happy with himself.

Stacie's Bardo
Stacie was in a black dress on the Nemeton, lying down. She was completely dry and completely clean. She gasped awake. She had vines, tethers, wrapping around her arms, trailing toward two doors on either side of the big room, and had one trailing from her head to a door behind her across the room. Closed doors.
Stacie looked toward the left. "Stiles."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Stiles' Bardo
Stiles was completely alone in the room in all black. He looked around, confused. He stopped when he saw darkness spreading toward him.
Rhys!Nogitsune: (voice over from 3.20 Echo House) "Let me in, Stiles. Let me in."
Stiles: (voice over from 3.23 Insatiable) "I remember twisting the swords in you and Ari, Scott, just to feed the Nogitsune inside of Stacie. I remember taking Ari's power and laughing at her and your pain. I remember making Oliver torture Stacie in the basement at Eichen House not once, but twice."
Stiles started to back away from the darkness.
Stiles: (voice over from 3.23 Insatiable) "You mean, if they die, do we die? I don't care if I die. Just as long as no one else dies because of me."
Stiles turned around, running away from the darkness spreading toward him.
Void!Stacie: (voice over from 3.19 Letharia Vulpina) "Do it. Come on! Do it!"
Void!Stiles: (voice over from 3.19 Letharia Vulpina) "You really have to learn not to trust foxes."
Scott: (voice over from 3.24 The Divine Move) "The plan is to save you. That's the plan we're going with."
Stiles stopped running when he saw darkness spreading toward him from all around him, surrounding him. He looked around.
Stiles: (voice over from 4.04 The Benefactor)"I remember everything I did. And the worst part is I remember liking it. Because I felt powerful. I felt fearless. And most of all, in control. But when I came through it, I learned something else... Control is overrated."
Stiles stopped in front of the Nemeton. He turned around, looking around.
The darkness was gone. Just pure white.
Stiles sighed, catching himself against the Nemeton.

Stacie's Bardo
Stacie was still lying down, bound to the Nemeton. She looked toward the right. "Ari."

Ari's Bardo
Berserker!Ari looked around in confusion. She looked at the bones and the animal skins on her, trying to pull them off.
Young Adriana: (voice over from 3.06 Motel California) "Ari!"
Ari: (voice over from 1.05 The Tell) "What's happening to me?"
Ari: (voice over from 2.06 Frenemy) "Stacie, I need to tell Lydia. I'm the reason she almost died."
Berserker!Ari continued to try and pull free.
Isaac: (voice over from 2.12 Master Plan) "He's sick."
Ari: (voice over from 2.12 Master Plan)"I found out my father had been sick with cancer through a psychopath an hour after he died."
Adriana: (voice over from 3.13 Anchors)"The more I'm around you, the more purer I get. The more you're around me, the more darker you get. Until we're balanced."
Berserker!Ari looked around the Bardo room, seeing the Nemeton further away, walking toward it.
Isaac: (voice over from 3.09 The Girl Who Knew Too Much) "You really have changed."
Adriana: (voice over from 3.05 Frayed) "What's the point of this, Ari? You trying to save me?"
Berserker!Ari continued to walk toward the Nemeton.
Ari: (voice over from 3.05 Frayed) "The point, Adri, is that I'm trying to make sure that you're still human inside, that you still have something inside of you that is still worth remembering."
Berserker!Ari stopped next to the Nemeton.
Adriana: (voice over from 3.16 Illuminated) "Ari, remember what I told you?"
Ari: (voice over from 3.16 Illuminated) "We're stronger together?"
Adriana: (voice over from 3.16 Illuminated) "Damn right, Ari."
Berserker!Ari looked around, looking down.
The floor tiles were glowing purple in the shape of an iris, widening into a shape of a full-sized eye, turning from purple to red.
The voices were enough to make Ari grip each side of the skull in anger, pulling it, tearing it apart with a yell of rage. Like Stacie, she was in a black dress. She backed away from the glowing tiles in confused suspicion, toward the Nemeton behind her.
Ari turned around, touching the Nemeton.

Stacie's Bardo
Stacie was still lying down on, bound to the Nemeton. She looked above her head to the door behind her. "Scott."
¤•¤°¤•¤
Scott's Bardo
Berserker!Scott was standing alone.
Scott: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "Why me?"
Hallucination!Tara: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "Because you're the Alpha."
Berserker!Scott looked around.
Scott: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "I'm not a murderer."
Hallucination!Tara: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "But you are a predator."
Scott: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "No. We're predators. We don't have to..."
Berserker!Scott walked across the room slowly.
Derek: (voice over from 3.12 Lunar Eclipse)"Like my mother always used to say. I'm a predator. I don't have to be a killer."
Hallucination!Tara: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "Maybe it means you're become more like a Werewolf."
Scott: (voice over from 4.08 Time of Death) "Or more like a monster."
Natalie: (voice over from 4.04 The Benefactor) "Like a monster?"
Scott: (voice over from 4.04 The Benefactor) "You're not a monster. You're a Werewolf. Like us."
Tara: (voice over from 1.05 The Tell) "We're predators. We don't have to be killers."
The voices were enough to make Scott grip each side of the skull in anger, pulling it, tearing it apart with a yell of rage. Like Stiles, he was in all black. He looked up, breathing heavily, looking around, realizing that he was standing next to the Nemeton.
Scott reached forward to touch the Nemeton.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Stacie's Bardo
Stacie was laying on, bound to the Nemeton. She lifted her head to look at the broken tether from one door, at the bottom of the door on the floor, the door black, signaling death. Her voice was a sad whisper. "Allison."
Deaton: (voice over from 3.13 Anchors) "When the four of you went under the water, when you crossed from unconsciousness to a kind of superconsciousness, and you were used as the tie to help them come back to this consciousness, you essentially opened a door in your minds. You essentially have three open, leading into each of theirs. Not only will you see what they see, but you'll feel what they feel."
Void!Stacie: (voice over from 3.19 Letharia Vulpina) "This is why I took the anchor for possession. She feels all of your pain on top of her own, which only adds to the pain. It's like an endless cycle of suffering and misery. And I love every minute of it."
Stacie: (voice over from 3.21 Foxes and Wolves) "This is me. The Nemeton is a source of power. It gets its power from pain and death. I'm more like the Nemeton than I like to believe. This tied together the sacrifices. Scott, Ari, Allison and Stiles were sacrifices. I tie them together."
Stacie: (voice over from 4.02 200)"I don't suppose that there's a way to shut it off by any chance, is there?"
Deaton: (voice over from 4.02 200)"I did find something about how you can deal with the pain, make it to where you can... still do the things that you need to do even if one of them is hurt. Just find something to focus on when you're in pain. Something to distract you, to keep your mind clear, to keep you strong. Sort of like an anchor."
Stacie: (voice over from 4.02 200) "An anchor for the anchor."
Derek: (voice over from 4.03 Muted) "I wouldn't use anger."
Stacie closed her eyes in pain from hearing his voice after she had to watch him die.
Derek: (voice over from 4.03 Muted)"Not for you, Stacie. Something else."
Stacie: (voice over from 4.03 Muted)"Okay... Then a memory... a person from my past... a person from the now..."
Stacie opened her eyes, starting to cry.
Derek: (voice over from 4.03 Muted) "Anything you think that you need."
Stacie sighed.
Allison: (voice over)"You're not the anchor anymore."
Stacie closed her eyes in even more pain, crying.
The tethers leading to Scott, Ari and Stiles' doors were breaking, dwindling, disseminating, disappearing.
Stacie sat up. "Oh, my God." She started to sink down into the Nemeton like quick sand. "No, no, no." She held the branches, trying to stop, but she sunk even further. "No!"

Reality
Night - La Iglasia - Outside
Stacie was still wet and covered in blood and dirt. She was on the ground, gasping awake in the real world.
Macey was kneeling next to her.
They heard growls and gun shots and fighting.
Stacie coughed out water from her lungs, sitting up.
Macey sighed of relief. "I thought you actually weren't gonna come back for a second."
Stacie breathed heavily, trying to get her breath back. "So did I." She looked at Macey in surprise. "Did you just save me?"
Macey nodded. "I did."
Stacie sighed gratefully, still breathing heavily.

Inside
Stiles, Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari were still out.
Adriana was kneeling next to Berserker!Ari, praying that Stacie would wake up so that Scott, Stiles and Ari woke up, tracing her tattoo in devastation. "Stace. Come on, come on, come on, Stace. Stace..."
"Come on, Stace," Natalie whispered frantically. "Stace, come on." She kept trying to wake Stiles, Bersererk!Ari and Berserker!Scott up to no avail. "Please, Stace."
Stiles sat up abruptly, gasping, shaking in Malia's arms.
"No, no, no, no, you're okay," Malia told him. "You're okay."
Kira and Natalie knelt next to Adriana, Tara, Berserker!Ari and Berserker!Scott.
"Is..." Natalie trailed off. "Are they..."
Tara gazed off. Her eyes were glazed over numbly.
Adriana was trying not to cry. "Natalie... No, no, no, no. Nattie."
Natalie wrapped her arms around Adriana comfortingly. "Adriana... Adri?"
Liam looked at them in pain and sympathy.
Stiles looked around in confusion. "What... What's going on?"
Berserker!Ari gasped awake, surprising everyone. She started to stand.
Natalie, Adriana and Tara slid away, cautious.
Berserker!Scott gasped awake, starting to stand.
Stiles slowly stood.
Berserker!Scott looked over his arms in confusion.
Kira picked up her sword.
Berserker!Ari started to take the animal skins on her body off.
Peter and Malia watched. Malia looked curious. Peter looked disappointed.
Berserker!'Scott took off the bones covering his chest and back. He gripped at his head.
Natalie, Adriana and Tara stood.
Berserker!Ari pulled the bones off of her, pulling the animal armor off of her.
Berserker!Scott and Berserker!Ari started to pull at the skulls over their heads with as much strength as they could. The skulls glowed as they tore the skulls apart. They were shifted, looking up, roaring.
Tara turned to face Peter angrily in rage. "You." Everyone turned to look at Peter and Malia. Malia looked at Peter, taking a step away. Peter looked only at Scott, Ari and Tara. "The only one that knew as much as Argent about Berserkers. About the Nagual. You taught Kate. You helped her. All for power."
"For our family's power to be rightfully inherited by me, Tara," Peter told her. He looked from Scott to Ari. "Not usurped by some idiot teenage boy and girl so incorruptible they wouldn't shed the blood of their enemies even when justified, Tara."
"It was never yours," Tara stressed angrily. "You took it from Laura when you killed her. And now Derek's dead, too, thanks to you, and Scott, Stiles, Ari and Stacie nearly died with them."
"Yet, here Scott and 'Ari' are have been given this power without having to take a soul, Tara," Peter told her. He looked at Ari. "Even you, Arielle, when you have more strength than any Werewolf, and you don't know what to do with it."
"That's why you wanted me here," Ari told him. "Why you wanted Kate to change me. You take my power, you can take Adriana's power." Adriana looked from Ari to Peter with a hard gaze. "That way, you have the strength of all three of us."
"Your genius capability continues to impress me," Peter told her. "But you don't deserve your power. Neither of you do." He let his eyes glow blue, speaking with a deep, monstrous voice. "Not power like this." Peter underwent a transformation that included much head twisting and bone cracking. His forehead became more triangular and pronounced with deep ridges. His ears enlarged and pointed. He had bigger canines that he had before. He growled. Malia let her eyes glow blue, growling, trying to attack Peter. Peter pushed Malia back into a rock across the room easily, making her fall to the floor and groan in pain. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. We'll talk about this later."
Adriana walked closer angrily.
"Adriana, no," Ari told her. Adriana looked at Ari, stepping down. "Even if you're balanced like me now, Adriana, you'll more than likely kill him if you fought him after what he did to all of us. Adriana, all of you, let us handle this."
Scott and Ari stepped forward.
"You were my Betas first, little wolves," Peter told them. "It was my bite that changed your lives. And my bite that can end them."
"Then end them, Peter," Ari told him. "Because you won't get another chance."
Ari let the irises of her eyes glow purple, her teeth grow into canines and her nails grow into claws, roaring.
Peter roared, jumping toward Scott.
Scott roared, jumping toward Peter.
In the air, Scott and Peter both raised their arms to fight.

Outside
The fight continued.
The Berserker snapped someone's neck, slashing into him.
Braedan stood, firing her gun.
Kate slashed into a man's back, killing him, letting him fall. "You're next, Araya. I'm coming to kill you next."
Araya lowered her stun gun, making it flash blue. "Come, la loba. Let me show you how the Calaveras die."
Kate roared, walking toward Araya.
A wolf howled in the distance, making everybody stop.
Macey helped Stacie sit up. They looked toward the fountain where Derek had been leaning against.
Derek was gone.
Stacie was stunned. "Macey." Macey looked at her in confusion. "He's gone."
"Who's gone?" Macey asked.
"Derek," Stacie answered.
A black wolf came bounding over a broken wall, running past Araya, toward Kate.
Kate roared.
The black wolf's eyes glowed blue. He ran toward Kate, attacking her, making her scream and fall. He backed away.
Kate rolled over, crawling away. She rolled back to look at the wolf, human.
The wolf turned into a completely naked Derek.
Stacie smiled of relief, in disbelief and happiness, looking so relieved that she could cry again.
Everyone was in shock.
"You were..." Kate trailed off. "You were dead."
Derek shook his head. "No. I was evolving. Something you'll never do."
The Berserker growled, walking toward Derek, trying to slash him. Derek pushed its arm away, rushing forward, grabbing its eyes, squeezing. The skull glowed gold. The body tore apart, disintegrating.
The skull was still in Derek's hands.
Kate stood, backing away.
Chris shot her with the yellow wolfsbane bullet, making her fall.
Kate breathed heavily, looking at him. "Chris?"
Kate stood, running away, inside.
Chris followed her.
Derek looked toward Stacie.
Stacie smiled of relief, pushing herself up from the ground, running toward Derek, into his arms, holding him tightly, closing her eyes. "You were dead. You didn't have a pulse."
Derek held Stacie tightly in relief. "So were you, Stacie. You didn't have one either." Stacie smiled, laughing in shock and relief. Derek kissed her head, like he was trying to say there was nothing to worry about. Stacie closed her eyes, not letting go. They kissed passionately for a long, sweet, endless moment, pulling away, embracing. Macey watched them, smiling a small smile. Derek looked at Stacie. "Stacie, we're okay. Where are the others?"
Stacie opened her mouth to answer, but she didn't make a sound. "I don't know."
Derek looked at Stacie in confusion.
Stacie pulled away from Derek, looking toward the Church.

Inside
The fight continued.
Ari kicked into a standing position, slashing toward Peter twice. Peter slashed Ari, punching her under her jaw. Ari fell back, back-flipping to her feet. Peter roared, trying to hit her. Ari raised her arm to block the move, flipping around him, kicking him back.
"Come on, Arielle," Peter told her. "Come on!" Stacie ran into the room, slowing to a stop, watching them in confusion. No one noticed her yet. Peter took Scott, by his shoulders, turning around, throwing him into the beam, making him fall. Stacie looked down in confusion. "Come on." Peter pulled Scott up to his feet. Tara wanted to help but didn't know what to do. Peter threw Scott into another beam, making the beam shatter and Scott fall. "Fight like an Alpha." Peter pulled Scott up, pushing him into the wall. Ari pushed him Peter away from Scott, circling around him, walking across the wall, landing on her feet on the ground, pushing Peter down. Stiles pressed his lips together anxiously. Scott punched Peter twice, pulling him up, pushing him back. Peter headbutted Scott, kicking him, punching him. Malia and Kira stood together. Peter punched Scott, making him fall. Stiles took a step back. "You want to beat me?" Peter circled around Scott and Ari. "You're going to have to kill me!"
Peter picked Ari up, throwing her across the room into the wall, making her fall.
Stacie looked down in confusion again.
Natalie stepped forward.
Peter looked at Natalie, taking a wooden gate, throwing it toward Natalie and Liam.
Liam looked worried. "Natalie!"
Liam grabbed Natalie by the shoulders, kneeling to the floor, turning away to duck, acting as a shield for Natalie.
The wooden gate shattered against the wall above their heads.
Liam and Natalie looked at the others, breathing heavily.
Peter growled, walking toward Natalie and Liam.
Seeing this seemed to only made Scott and Ari angrier.
Adriana was also angry that Peter had tried to hurt her best friend. "Natalie..."
Scott started to stand protectively. Peter turned to Scott, growling. Scott walked toward him. Peter tried to punch him. Scott raised his arm to block the move. Peter tried to hit him. Scott raised his arm to block the move. Peter tried to slash him. Scott pushed his arm away. Peter tried to punch him. Scott raised an arm to block the move, punching Peter.
Malia and Kira breathed heavily, watching in expectation.
Peter tried to punch Ari.
Ari pushed his arm away.
Liam and Natalie stood, okay.
Peter tried to punch Ari. Ari pushed his arm away. Peter tried to punch her with the other arm. Ari pushed it away.
Adriana took a step forward, nodding, impressed and proud.
Peter slashed toward Ari.
Ari ducked, punching Peter in the face, underneath the jaw so hard with so much strength, making him fly over the table. (slow motion)
Peter landed against the wall.
Ari jumped onto the alter, standing.
Peter breathed heavily.
Tara walked toward Peter slowly. "You were never an Alpha, Peter. But you were always a monster."
Peter growled, trying to stand. "Do it, Tara."
Tara punched him with all the strength her had, making him fall unconscious.
Everyone walked closer.
Tara's hand was shaking at her side.
Scott stood next to Tara, breathing heavily, looking at her. "You don't have to do it, Tara."
"I won't," Tara told him, looking at Peter in numb anger. "He deserves something a lot worse than death."
Tara was still looking at Peter like she did want to kill him but she knew she shouldn't.
Scott turned Tara toward him, wrapping his arms around her. "Tara... I'm so sorry about Derek."
Tara had tears in her eyes.
Stacie walked closer, announcing her presence. "Actually, there's something you should know."
"What do you mean?" Adriana asked.
"Well..." Stacie trailed off.
They heard footsteps approaching.
They heard Derek's voice. "Where is she? Where's my sister?"
Tara pulled away from Scott in shock, turning toward him.
Macey and Derek walked into the room.
Derek was in different clothes. He looked at Tara, walking toward her, wrapping his arms around her in relief.
Tara was in shock. "But I heard--"
"Doesn't matter," Derek told her.
Tara wrapped her arms around Derek in relief.
Scott smiled.
Ari smiled a small smile, jumping off of the table.
Stiles looked at his own sister. "Stace."
Stacie instantly walked toward him, wrapping her arms around Stiles. "I'm not the only one who saw the big, white room, right?" Stiles chuckled, hugging her tightly. "Ow. Really sore."
Stiles pulled away, putting his hands on her shoulders. "Sorry."
Stacie smiled.
Ari walked closer to hug Stacie. "Stace." Tara smiled, pulling away from Derek. Ari looked at Macey in shock, surprised that she was here. "Mom?"
Macey chuckled. "Ari. Adriana. Adri..."
Macey smiled in relief, walking closer to pull Ari and Adriana both into her arms, holding them tightly after they had both almost died and lost themselves. Ari and Adriana held onto Macey and each other just as tightly in relief.

Elsewhere
Kate made it deep into the temple.
Chris followed her, firing until he was out of ammo.
They were both breathing heavily.
Kate turned to face him, amazed and incredulous. "You want to kill me, Chris?"
"No," Chris answered. "But I don't want to save you anymore, either. I don't know that you're worth saving."
"Just like when we were kids," Kate told him. "Always trying to make me the bad guy. You can't see them clearly anymore, can you? Ari and Adriana are not your little heroes. None of them are. Not when they killed Allison."
Chris looked at Kate angrily, walking closer. "Allison died. She died saving her friends. Who would you die for? Hmm?"
Kate didn't answer. "You're not gonna kill me." She circled around him, backing away toward the door. "And you're not gonna catch me. Not you. Not the Hales. And not the Calaveras."
Kate ran out, leaving, holding her wounds in pain.
Chris watched her go, trying not to cry.

(Song:) Take Me to Church - Hozier
Everyone stood outside of La Iglasia as the sun began to rise.
Ari, Adriana, Macey and Chris were talking.
"There's enough yellow wolfsbane to keep Peter out for the trip back," Chris told them. "But be careful."
Macey looked at him sadly. "You're really going with them?"
"I made a deal with the Calaveras weeks ago," Chris told them. "They'll leave you alone. All of you. But only if I help them catch Kate."
"What if you can't?" Adriana asked.
"I'll find her," Chris told them. "Someone has to."
Chris looked at them sadly, turning to walk away.
Macey grabbed Chris by his arm to stop him, pulling him into an embrace. Chris smiled a small, sad smile, returning the embrace. They pulled away.
Ari and Adriana both embraced Chris, pulling away.
Ari sighed. "I'm sorry."
Chris chuckled. "You don't have to be sorry about that."
"Good luck, Chris," Macey told him.
"Thank you," Chris told them.
Ari, Adriana and Macey nodded sadly.
Chris turned around, walking away with the Calaveras.
Jordan looked around.
Adriana put either of her arms around Ari and Macey on either side of her, holding them.
Scott put his arm around Tara.
Stiles, Malia, Kira, Natalie and Liam stood behind them.
Ari, Adriana and Macey watched Chris walk away with the Calaveras.
"You think we'll see him again?" Adriana asked, tracing her double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist.
"I think there's a very good possibility," Macey told them.
Liam and Natalie were talking to Braedan.
"So, you're not really a US Marshal, are you?" Natalie asked.
"I was," Braedan answered. "But I spent too long looking for one person. It's hard to keep a job when part of it becomes an obsession."
"Who were you after?" Liam asked.
"All I know is a code name," Braedan told them. "The Desert Wolf."
Braedan walked away.
Liam wrapped an arm around Natalie.
Natalie leaned her head against his shoulder, wrapping her arms around him. They smiled.
Derek and Stacie were talking.
"So you really didn't feel any of Scott or Ari's pain during the fight after you guys came back to life?" Derek asked.
Stacie shook her head. "It was so weird. I saw it happening, but I didn't feel anything. At all. Even with you as my anchor, I always felt a little of their pain. But now it was nothing. Then the vision in the white room... What the hell does that mean?"
"I think it means it means that when you died and came back, that the tethers were severed," Derek answered.
"As in..." Stacie trailed off.
"As in you're not the anchor anymore," Derek answered. Stacie smiled a small smile in shock, wondering if it was true. "You never did tell me what your anchor was... Until now."
"Like it's not obvious," Stacie told him.
Derek smiled.
Derek and Stacie looked at each other for a moment, stepping closer, kissing slowly, softly, deeply and passionately in relief, embracing. They pulled away.
Stacie walked toward Stiles. They embraced.
Kira walked away.
Derek looked at Scott, Tara and Ari, nodding.
Scott, Tara and Ari nodded.
Derek walked away.
Tara took out the obsidian stone and Ari's necklace. "Ari."
Ari looked at her. Tara held out the necklace.
Ari took it, looking at Tara in relief and regret for what she did, having trouble finding the words to say. "Tara... Tara, I... I'm so sorry, Tara."
Tara looked at her knowingly. "It wasn't your fault." She walked away toward Kira. "Kira."
Kira turned to face Tara in confusion. "What is it?"
Tara handed her the stone. "Take this. Believe it or not, it has some relevance to Kitsunes."
Kira looked at the obsidian in confusion. "What is it?"
"Ask your mother," Tara told her. She walked away, walking toward Derek. "Have I ever told you that I extremely glad you always seem to cheat death?"
Derek smiled, wrapping his arms around Tara. "Love you, too, Tara. I'm glad you're okay."
Tara returned the embrace. "You, too."
Scott looked at them, smiling a small smile, walking away.

Day Two
Beacon Hills, California
Morning - Sheriff's Station - Sheriff's Office
Sheriff was waiting anxiously.
Stacie, Stiles and Malia walked in.
Sheriff saw Stacie, immediately standing, walking toward them, pulling Stacie into his arms immediately in relief. Stacie returned the embrace just as tightly, smiling, pulling Stiles into the embrace.
"Dad, you smell terrible," Stacie told him.
"Yep, you do, too," Sheriff told her. They pulled away. Malia walked closer. "Hi, Malia." Sheriff pulled all of them into another group hug with Malia this time. He pulled away, looking at all of them. "I'm just so glad you're all safe. Hey, why don't we get out of here and get something to eat?"
Stacie raised her arm in the air. "Great. I'm starving."
"Okay," Sheriff told them.
Malia, Sheriff and Stacie walked toward the door.
Stiles tried to follow, but his wrist was handcuffed to the desk. "Yo, Daddy?"
Malia and Stacie looked at Stiles in confusion.
Sheriff guided them toward the door. "Stacie, since you were kidnapped and taken to Mexico, you get to pick the food."
"Uh, pizza," Stacie told him.
"Hey, Dad?" Stiles asked. They looked at Stiles. Sheriff pulled Malia and Stacie along. "Bring me back a slice?"

(Song:) Destroyer - Panama
Kira and Noshiko were in Ken's classroom, talking about the obsidian stone that Tara had given Kira.
"That shard of obsidian that Tara gave you, Kira," Noshiko told her. "There's a reason she gave it to you. And a reason your father took the liberty of making an alteration to it. Do you know what it is?"
The stone had been fashioned into a throwing star.
Kira smiled a small smile, holding the throwing star in her hand. "A tail."
Noshiko smiled. "Your first."
They smiled.

Hallway
Stiles, Ari, Stacie, Scott, Liam and Natalie were talking to Coach in the hallway leading to the locker rooms.
"Then Stiles told me and Natalie that Ari, Scott, Stacie and Scott's girlfriend Tara and Stacie's boyfriend Derek were stuck in Mexico, which is why they missed the game," Liam told him. "Uh, so we went down to Mexico to drive them back from Mexico and that's why we all missed lacrosse practice. And why Natalie and Stacie missed track practice." Coach gave Liam a hard look, making him uncomfortable. "'Cause we were all in Mexico."
"Yeah," Coach told them. Stiles, Ari, Stacie, Scott and Natalie looked down. Coach looked at Scott and Stacie. "You two went on a double date to Mexico, both of which you're dating are siblings?" He looked at Ari. "You went for the date because you were all there to meet with Lahey."
Ari nodded. "Just because he's not here doesn't mean we're not together anymore."
"It was our first real date," Scott told him awkwardly.
"And ours," Stacie told him.
"In Mexico," Coach told them.
"We wanted to do something special," Ari told him.
"Oh, okay," Coach told them. "I believe you."
"Really?" Liam asked in surprise.
"Absolutely not," Coach answered in a growl. "I've had experiences south of the border that would knock the genitals off you boys." Natalie nodded awkwardly, looking away. Coach looked at Stiles and Scott. "Still, let me be clear to you two." He looked at Liam. "This kid's the best talent I've seen in years." He looked at Ari and Stacie. "And they're two of the only three girls on the team, and they're both better than more than half of it, but a lot of schools aren't gonna like it, discriminating little bastards." Stiles and Scott looked at Ari and Stacie. Ari shrugged. Stacie smiled. Coach looked from Stacie to Natalie. "And these two, the All-Stars track and cross-country girls, who seem to be going through more hell than I can ever imagine..." He looked at Stiles and Scott. "So they're your responsibility now. You guys are gonna stick together. You're gonna look out for each other. And your gonna have each other's backs."
"We're already doing that, Coach," Natalie told him.
"Well, okay, smartass, how about you keep doing it?" Coach asked. "You got it, Natalie?"
Scott smiled, looking from Ari and Stacie to Liam and Natalie. "We got it."
They all smiled.
Coach didn't know how right he was.

Angel and Lydia walked into the station.
Jordan saw Angel, looking at her in relief, standing, walking closer. "Angel." They embraced in relief. "Oh, my God, Angel. Angel, are you okay?"
"Oh, yeah, JP, never better," Angel told him sarcastically, laughing, pulling away.
"You took a risk with the bomb, Angel," Jordan told her. "You didn't know if you would survive or not."
"I'd rather die than let my friends die," Angel told him. She looked down. "Uh-oh. I'm turning into another Beacon Hills martyr."
Jordan smiled. He let it fade to seriousness. "Seriously, Angel. We have no idea what we are or what our weaknesses or strengths are, Angel."
Angel looked at Lydia behind her. "That's why Lydia's here. Tell him."
"Angel, tell me what?" Jordan asked.
Lydia walked closer with a book. "This book used to be a hard drive, but we eventually decided it might be a good idea to have a hard copy around." She set it down. "So we put it in a book."
Jordan opened it, looking at the pictures of of supernatural creatures. "What is it?"
"It's called a bestiary," Lydia told them. "Whatever you guys are, it might be in here. I'd like to help you figure it out."

Night - Eichen House - Peter/Valack's Room
Peter was still woozy from the yellow wolfsbane, being brought into the Plexiglas cell on the secret supernatural floor. He was locked inside, looking around. "You actually think this is gonna hold me?" He put his head against the glass. "You think you can shoot me up with wolfsbane, make me docile and weak, and I won't find a way out?"
Peter headbutted the glass angrily.
Valack was lying on his bed, reading a book. "It's not just the wolfsbane." Peter slowly turned to face him. "It's the Mountain Ash wood framework of the cells. It's all around us."
"Who the hell are you?" Peter asked.
Valack sat up, putting his book down, standing, walking closer. "I could tell you. But it's easier if I just... show you."
Valack removed the bloody bandage from around his head.
Peter looked into the hole in Valack's head.
The third eye inside opened, looking at Peter.
Peter turned away in horror, throwing himself against the clear glass of the cell, screaming in a high-pitched voice. "No!"
Valack smirked.
