chapter 11 - A Promise to the Dead
Outfits in the external link
From 4.01 "The Dark Moon", in La Iglasia, The corridor was dark, cobwebby and stony.
Kate was standing in front of a disc shaped sculpture inlaid in the stone wall.
Tara: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (Teen Wolf)"
From 3.12 "Lunar Eclipse", in the loft, the Calaveras surrounded Derek.
"Where is the she-wolf?" Severo asked.
From 4.01 "The Dark Moon", at the leveled town, Tara, Scott, Ari, Adriana and Braedan looked over the town.
"La Iglasia," Braedan told them.
"The Church was built over the ruins of an Aztec temple," Tara explained.
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the study of the lake house, Malia and Stiles looked at the three machines behind the broken wall.
"If this thing's being used to disseminate the list, then it's probably gonna keep going until everyone's dead," Stiles told her.
Stiles turned the key.
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the warehouse, Brett held a hand toward Adriana.
Adriana took his hand, letting him help her up.
Cell phones started vibrating all over the place.
The assassin were leaving.
Everyone was still suspicious.
Assassin 9's phone vibrated.
Scott took out his phone, looking at the text.
Adriana saw a phone vibrating on the floor. She knelt to pick it up, looking at the text.
Brett looker over Adriana's shoulder to look at the next.
Scott turned the screen toward Assassin 9 so he could see the text.
The Benefactor: All contracts terminated.
From 4.09 "Perishing Angel", in the burning car, Fire touched Angel's skin.
Angel opened her glowing, deep gold fiery eyes.
The fire burned across her entire body, making her scream in agony.
The flames completely consumed both Jordan and Angel.
From 4.09 "Perishing Angel", in the Sheriff's Station, Angel was not dead, covered in soot, dressed in the barest remains of her burned clothing, opening the glass double doors, walking inside, grabbing a deputy's jacket from nearby, wrapping it around her body.
Angel: (voice over from 4.09 Perishing Angel) "I don't get it."
Jordan walked in, covered in soot, dressed in the barest remains of his burned clothing, walking toward Haigh angrily in a rage for trying to kill him and his niece.
Angel: (voice over from 4.09 Perishing Angel) "Before the fire, I couldn't heal like this, but now..."
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the clinic, Angel and Kira were talking.
Angel shrugged. "It's fine. I'm fine."
Angel noticed that her hand was slightly shaking.
Kira looked at her in confusion. "Sure?"
Angel looked up, nodding. "Yeah."
From 4.06 "Orphaned", in the boys' locker room, Scott knelt in front of the red bag at the bottom. He unzipped, opening the bag. Scott and Natalie froze.
A bag full of money, all in bands, all $100 bills.
Scott: (voice over from 4.10 Monstrous) "I know what happened to Garrett's money that he got from the dead pool. And I'll give it back. I promise."
From 4.10 "Monstrous", outside the clinic in the pouring rain, Tara and Scott were talking.
"I don't expect it to make you any less angry and I don't expect you to forgive me," Scott told her.
Tara couldn't let him go on like this, giving in, silencing him with a kiss, surprising him. They continued to kiss in the rain, pulling away. Scott looked at her in slight surprise.
Tara opened her eyes, sighing. "I've spent most of my life being so angry, Scott. I don't want to be angry anymore."
From 4.08 "Time of Death", in the sewers, Peter and Kate were talking.
"She's Tara Hale," Peter told her. "She's a survivor. Scott is one way to my niece, yes. But my niece is also a way to Scott."
From 4.10 "Monstrous", in the sewers, Peter and Kate were talking.
Peter watched as water dripped into the drain, holding out his hand to catch the droplets.
Kate walked closer. "You want to bail on the plan?"
"Not when I'm this close to killing Scott McCall and Arielle Martin," Peter told her.
Peter closed his fist.

Day One
Night - Unknown Location
A man turned on a light bulb, dragging a black body bag into a refrigerated room where large, human shaped pieces of meat hung.
The bodies were wrapped in clear plastic pierced with metal hooks.
The man moved closer to the body bag.
Something inside the body bag jumped, startling him.
The man sighed. "Hey, hey, relax. I'm going to open the bag. Hey, do you hear me? I'm going to open the bag." The girl inside the bag could be heard whimpering. The man unzipped the bag. The girl was tied up and gagged. "It's Kalissa, right?" Kalissa nodded, looking behind him to see a collection of knives and cleavers suspended on a magnetic knife rack. "I guess you're coming to a certain conclusion." The man brushed back her hair. "You're not going to be leaving here. It's okay that you're scared. See, contrary to traditional culinary practices, it actually tastes better for someone like me when the kill's been frightened." He bared his teeth, hissing/growling at her, making it clear that he was a Wendigo. Kalissa started to cry, looking away. "Look at me, Kalissa. Open your eyes." Kalissa kept her eyes closed, crying. "Kalissa. Open your eyes!"
The Wendigo let his eyes glow completely white, growling.
Kalissa looked behind him.
The Wendigo turned to follow her gaze.
Deaton was standing there, whipping out his retractable baton.
The Wendigo stood, grabbing meat hooks from the ceiling, slashing them toward Deaton. Deaton used the baton to block the moves, hitting the Wendigo in the face, making him spit out blood. The Wendigo continued to try to slash into him with the meat hooks. Deaton ducked and dodged, using his baton to block the moves. The Wendigo spun to slash toward him. Deaton ducked. The Wendigo got one of his meat hooks stuck in one of the bodies hanging from the ceiling. Deaton hit his arm with the baton, making him let go of that meat hook. The Wendigo slashed toward him with the other.
Deaton used the baton to hit the meat hook out of his grasp, kicking him in the leg, making him fall to his knees, raising the baton to hit him again. "Enough."
"Okay, wait!" the Wendigo told him. "Stop! The dead pool's over. You're not going to get paid. It's over."
"I'm not here to kill you, Patrick," Deaton told him. "I'm taking you back to Eichen House. Where they know all about your 'culinary practices'."
Deaton used the electric baton to hit Patrick in the face, making him fall unconscious, walking toward Kalissa, taking the tape off of her mouth, starting to untie her.
Kalissa looked at him in relief. "Are you... are you a cop?"
Deaton smiled. "Veterinarian."
Kalissa looked at him in confusion.

Eichen House - Closed Unit
Patrick was wheeled in on a gurney, strapped down.
Deaton and a doctor were walking together.
In each of the cells, glimpsed through bars, there were a variety of heretofore unseen supernatural creatures.
"While I'm relieved to have Patrick back in our care, I still need to advise you against doing this, Alan," the doctor told him. "There's a reason this floor isn't listen in the brochure."
"I came through on my end of our bargain," Deaton told him. "Now it's your turn. All I want to do is talk to him."
"The last person that went in to see Valack left the room but not the building," the doctor told him. "All they did was talk."
"I'll keep that in mind," Deaton told him.
The doctor sighed.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Valack's Room
The man inside was kept in isolation in a reinforced Plexiglas cell. He was sitting on the bed. He had a bloody bandage wrapped around his head.
Deaton walked in. "Dr. Valack?"
"You must be important," Valack told him. "They don't usually let people get this close." He closed his book. "They let me read. Unfortunately, all I get are these trashy romance novels. I've read this one seven times."
Valack tossed the book down next to a pile of books.
"I was hoping we could talk," Deaton told him. "My name is Dr. Alan Deaton."
Valack stood, walking closer to the glass separating them. "Oh, I know your specialty, Dr. Deaton. And I know it's not cats and dogs."
"I'm here because of what you know about South American mythology," Deaton told him.
"No," Valack told him. "You want to know about Kate Argent. You want to know about la loba. The Bone Woman."
"I know that she could be after Tara Hale," Deaton told him. "I need to know what she did to her brother, Derek, if he's dying. If Tara is in immediate danger."
"Why?" Valack asked.
"Because of a promise I made," Deaton answered. "To a woman I loved."
Valack smirked. "Maybe you should write the romance novels. If you want to know more, Dr. Deaton, you have to come closer."
"I've been advised against that," Deaton told him. "I only want to talk. To hear what you know."
"You need to see what I know," Valack told him. "You do that by coming closer."
Valack removed the bloody bandage from around his head, revealing a ragged and bloody hole in the middle of his forehead.
"I don't know much about trepanation, but I'm relatively certain that just because you drilled a hole in your own head, it doesn't mean you've somehow gifted yourself with extra-sensory perception," Deaton told him.
"Come a little closer," Valack told him. "Take a look for yourself." Deaton looked at the hole in his head. "That's it. Come and have a look." Deaton slowly stepped closer. "Come on."
Deaton stepped even closer, looking into the hole in Valack's head.
Deep inside the hole in Valack's skull, an eye suddenly opened inside what appeared to be his bloody brain matter.

There was a black wolf with red eyes.
Scott looked up. He blinked. When he opened his eyes, they were glowing red.
Scott stood alone in a cloud of dust or smoke, hitting the ground. Tyler Posey.
Stiles stood at a translucent crime board, adding a few things. Dylan O'Brien.
There was a hand held high with a claw on each finger.
Stacie looked straight ahead, holding a crossbow in hand, holding it pointing up in front of her face, looking straight ahead. Zoey Deutch.
Ari and Adriana stood back to back. Ari looked to the left, holding her motorcycle helmet in her hands, the irises of her eyes glowing blue. Adriana looked to the right, tracing her double infinity tattoo on her wrist, her eyes glowing completely purple. There was water sprinkles everywhere as they both looked up. Katherine McNamara.
Scott and Tara kissed passionately, pulling away.
Tara stood with her back toward you, looking over her shoulder, black blood covering her skin, her body reflecting each other. Victoria Justice.
On the back of Tara's hand, a triskele appeared. The spirals were black. The tip of one spiral was Beta blue. The tip of one spiral was Beta gold. The tip of one spiral was Alpha red. The intersection point was purple.
Derek looked up, shirtless, his eyes closed, shifted, roaring. Dust was falling off of his body. Tyler Hoechlin.
On Derek's back, a triskele appeared.
Lydia's hair covered her face, her hands held in front of her. She tossed her head back to get it to fall behind her. Holland Roden.
Natalie sat in a chair, half turned, her left leg to the left side of the chair, her right leg in front of it, her left arm lying on the back of the chair. Her eyes glowed gold. Sasha Pieterse.
A double infinity sign tattoo appeared on Adriana's wrist.
A black wolf howled.
Malia was in the woods, her arms raised at her sides. Shelley Hennig.
Kira was in a fighting stance, holding her katana sword raised ready. Arden Cho.
Angel stood within fire, water and electricity, air blowing through her hair. She had her arms raised to her sides as if taking flight. Her eyes were glowing a dark, fiery gold. Ginny Gardner.
On Scott's arm, two bands appeared, the top band thicker than the other.
The black blood pulled away from Tara's body, almost as it was never there.
Scott stared ahead. His eyes glowed red. He tilted his head toward his chest.

McCall House - Living Room
Scott and Natalie walked in with helmets underneath their arms.
Scott closed the door.
It was dark inside, completely dark, no lights on.
It was raining outside.
Melissa was sitting at the table.
Natalie looked at Melissa. "Hey. Sorry we were back so late. We were closing the animal clinic. Got more hours to earn a little extra..." She looked at the red duffle bag of Garrett's money in front of Melissa. "Money."
Melissa turned to face them. "How much more did you need, Natalie?"
Scott and Natalie walked closer.
"This is payment from the dead pool," Scott explained. "We found it in Garrett's locker."
"This belongs to Derek and Tara?" Melissa asked. She looked at the money, sighing, looking at Scott and Natalie. "So you're just, uh, keeping it safe for them in a gym bag underneath Scott's bed?" Neither of them answered. "How long have you had it?"
Scott shook his head. "Too long."
"You both know you have to give it back," Melissa told them.
"I'm going to," Scott told her. "I promised Tara that I am."
"Do I wanna know why you haven't given it back yet?" Melissa asked.
There was a beat of hesitation.
"Because of you," Scott finally answered.
"Me?" Melissa repeated. She exhaled, nodding. "You mean because we've been struggling a little?"
"Melissa, we're struggling a lot," Natalie told her.
"Oh," Melissa told them, looking away, shaking her head. "Natalie, you can save people's lives, but you can not save them from life. Life is full of struggles, Natalie."
"But it doesn't have to be," Natalie told her.
Melissa shook her head. "Natalie..."
Natalie put down her helmet. "Do you know what just one of these can do?" She picked up one of the stacks. "This gets you guys a new roof." She picked up another. "And this pays for Stiles' MRI." She picked up another. "And this pays for Stacie's." She picked up another. "And this pays for Stacie's trip to Eichen House." She picked up another. "And this pays for Stiles' trip to Eichen House." She picked up another. "And this one means you don't have to work the double shift at the hospital and come home totally exhausted."
Melissa picked up one, holding it out for one of them to take. "What about this one, Natalie?"
Natalie took it, looking it over.
It was stained in blood.
Natalie looked up at Melissa.
Melissa looked from Natalie to Scott.
Scott nodded.

Liam's House - Living Room
The sounds of hand to hand combat were coming from the living room.
Liam and Mason were playing video games, and Liam was winning.
Liam chuckled.
"When did you get so good?" Mason asked. "You been practicing? Or did you just suddenly get superhuman reflexes?"
Liam stammered nervously. "Uh, practicing. Yeah, I've been practicing."
"And I should be studying," Mason told him, putting down his control.
"Where are you going?" Liam asked.
"Home," Mason answered. "I got a history test tomorrow."
"Come on," Liam told him. "One more game."
"Yeah, you said that four games ago," Mason told him, standing, walking toward the door.
"Study here," Liam told him. "You can stay over." Mason turned to face him. "Come on, one more game. Just one."
"You okay?" Mason asked.
Liam looked down, a little embarrassed. "Yeah. You're right. You should go. I should probably study, too. See you at school."
Mason hesitated in the doorway, obviously wanting to say something, but he didn't.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Liam's Room
Liam laid down to go to sleep. He paused, looking in each of the corners of his bedroom, turning off the lamp by his bed.
The sound of the rain against the window seemed to disturb him.
In the darkness, he began to hear thumping, breathing and growling noises.
An imagination of a Berserker walked closer to his bed, bending down over him.
Liam closed his eyes, shaking his head. "You're not there. You're not there."
The Berserker growled.
Liam started to panic, turning on the light, looking around.
There was no Berserker.
Liam started to calm down, sighing.
¤•¤°¤•¤
Hale Loft - Derek's Room
Derek and Stacie were lying together on the bed underneath the windows.
Derek had his eyes closed.
Stacie was watching him.
"What are you staring at, Stacie?" Derek asked, his eyes still closed.
Stacie smiled. "Damn, even if you're losing power, you still know everything around you." Derek smirked, opening his eyes. "I'm just thinking."
"Thinking about how no one knows you're here?" Derek asked.
"Dad's at the station, Stiles' with Malia," Stacie told him. "They don't ask, I don't tell."
"Because you know they don't like this?" Derek asked, taking her hand, kissing it. "All they've done is disagree with it."
"They might not like it, but they know it's the only reason I'm still alive," Stacie told him. "They're not entirely okay with it, but they're resigned. And don't take it personal. They do this to every boyfriend I've ever gotten." Derek raised his eyebrows. "What? You didn't think you were my first, did you?" Derek chuckled. "First, yeah, it's good. Then they meet my Sheriff-with-a-station-full-of-rifles father and my protective, annoying fraternal twin brother. The next day, they're ghost." Derek smiled. "Which is why I'm glad you knew them before this." Stacie sighed. "But enough about them."
"Then what?" Derek asked. "Sleep?"
"Ha," Stacie told him sarcastically. "I'm not tired."
"Me, neither," Derek told her. "You did well earlier, for the training."
"Well, I've been practicing," Stacie told him, smiling. "I have a pretty good teacher."
"So do I," Derek told her.
Derek and Stacie looked at each other for a moment, kissing softly. Derek leaned over her, deepening the kiss. Stacie laid her head down, smiling, trailing a hand over his bare chest, rolling him onto the bed. Her hair fell down around her face. Stacie pulled her hair back behind her head, leaning closer to kiss him.
The alarm ruined it, blaring.
Stacie pulled away, looking around. "You gotta be kidding me. Derek."
Stacie stood, grabbing her silver gun from the bedside table.
Derek stood, grabbing his black gun from the bedside table.

Living Room
Tara had walked downstairs to find out what was happening, looking at the alarm, looking around.
Derek and Stacie walked downstairs with their guns.
Tara looked at them. "What are you two now? Mr. and Mrs. Smith?"
Derek gave Tara a look.
Stacie blushed slightly, turning to look outside the wall of windows, looking outside to the pouring rain.
Derek looked toward the sliding door, seeing feet passing underneath. He looked at Stacie and Tara, nodding to the door.
Derek and Stacie raised their guns, walking closer, standing on either side of the door.
Tara stood in front of the door, holding the handle, looking from Derek to Stacie.
Derek and Stacie nodded.
Tara let her eyes glow blue, opening the door, snapping out her claws.
Stacie and Derek turned to stand on either side of her, aiming their guns outside.
Lydia was the one outside, soaked from the rain.
Tara let the glow from her eyes fade and her claws return to nails.
Stacie and Derek lowered their guns in confusion.
Lydia looked up, screaming a Banshee scream.

Day Two
Morning - Stilinski House - Stiles' Room
(Song:) Hide - Little May
Stiles was sleeping in bed.
Malia was trying to wake him up. "Stiles. Stiles. You've got an early morning practice for the big game tomorrow, remember?"
Stiles was mumbling in his sleep. "Hi."
"If I'm going to watch an entire lacrosse game, you better not suck," Malia told him.
"Not gonna suck," Stiles told her.
"Remember, you were supposed to drive me to school early so I can get more studying in for the math test?" Malia asked. "The one that determines whether or not I'm gonna be a senior with you next year? Stiles!"
Stiles turned away on his side, groaning.
Malia looked away, growling. She saw the murder board was still full of articles, sketches, pictures and the dead pool lists, seeing something written on the board, perking up, turning Stiles to face her, kissing him passionately, finally waking him up.
Stiles put a hand to her head, pulling away. "What are you doing? I haven't even brushed my teeth yet."
Malia smiled, shaking her head. "I don't care."
They continued to kiss, laying down on the bed.
What Malia had seen on the murder board was: Who is the Desert Wolf?
(Song Ends)

Hale Loft - Living Room
Tara was standing by the table and the couch.
Derek was sitting on the couch, sliding Garrett's bag over the table toward Scott. "Okay."
"Don't you guys want to know why it took so long to return it?" Scott asked.
"How much do you make at the animal clinic?" Derek asked.
"Minimum wage," Scott answered.
"And Natalie?" Tara asked.
"Natalie makes less than me," Scott answered.
"That's why," Tara told him. "Everyone can be tempted, Scott. Even a True Alpha."
"Neither of you are angry?" Scott asked. He looked at Tara. "You... You, I expected especially to be angry at me, after all the secrets I kept from you..."
"If I compared the secrets you kept and the consequences that came with it, this would be the last on the list," Tara told him.
Scott shook his head in confusion. "Wait, what? Why?"
"Because it's not even mine or Tara's," Derek answered. "It belongs to Peter."
"Where's your money?" Scott asked.
"You're standing on it," Derek told him.
Scott looked at the floor. He looked up. "There's another vault?"
Tara smirked, looking down.
Derek chuckled. "No. I own the building. And I have my own bank accounts."
Scott looked at Tara. "So where's yours?"
"Laura left me a huge settlement for when I turned 18," Tara answered. "All of the money taken from the vault was Peter's. I think we'd actually be better off if the rest never came back."
Derek stood, zipping the bag closed.
Scott looked between them. "Stacie told me Lydia was here last night." Derek looked down. Scott looked at him. "Deaton's still working on figuring out what Kate did to you." He looked at Tara. "And he's still working on figuring out if she's gonna come for you or not. If anyone can find an answer, it's him."
Tara looked at Derek.
Derek looked at Tara.
Tara didn't want to lose him. She didn't know if she could.
Derek knew that.

Deaton's Dream
Mexico - La Iglasia
Deaton was dreaming, thinking that he was waking up in La Iglasia on a stone slab covered in bones. He stood, looking around. He saw a Berserker bone shard sticking into the stone, pulling it out. It was covered in blood.
The ground began to shake.
His vision whirled dizzily.

Reality
Day - Eichen House - Deaton's Room
Deaton was sleeping.
The doctor shone a light into his eyes, finding that he was completely unresponsive. He looked at a doctor. "Keep monitoring him every hour. If nothing changes..." He sighed, shaking his head. "They never listen."

Beacon Hills High School - Coach's Class
Lydia, Malia, Ari, Adriana, Angel and Kira were sitting together.
Lydia was looking down.
"Lydia," Malia told her. "Lydia! Did you hear me? Look!" She waved her test around. Lydia finally looked at her. "I passed."
"C -" Lydia told her.
"Your notes are great when they're not written in code," Malia told her. "Plus, it helps with Ari's notes, which I know will never be written in code or Banshee writing."
Adriana smiled, rolling her eyes.
Coach walked toward them, placing Malia's test on her desk. "Disappointed, Malia. Profoundly disappointed."
Coach continued on, handing Lydia her test.
Malia's was a 54% F.
Ari's was a 100% A.
Malia turned to look at Ari pleadingly. "Ari..."
Ari nodded. "I'll send you my notes."
Malia smiled, turning forward.
Lydia cleared her throat, looking up at the board.
The lesson on the chalkboard was talking about the net worth of some of America's richest men at the time of their death. The list, with the name and amounts listed, looked very much like the dead pool.
NETWORTH AT TIME OF DEATH ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION
JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER: 318 BILLION
CORNELIUS VANDERBILT: 150 BILLION
HENRY FORD: 188 BILLION
Adriana looked at the board, realizing what Lydia was thinking. She leaned forward against her desk, looking at her cousin. "Lydia."
Lydia looked at her. "What, Adriana?"
Adriana sighed. "It's over."
"Adriana's right, the computers are off," Kira told them.
"No more assassins, no more murders, no one's dying," Angel told them.
Lydia looked away numbly. "Not yet, Angel."

Weight Room
(Song:) I Need My Memory Back - The Glitch Mob (feat. Aja Volkman)
Mason was lifting weights.
Liam put a weight bar on the bench pressing bar.
"That's a lot of weight," Mason told him.
Liam sat down. "I'm trying to get ready for the game tomorrow."
"You need a spot?" Mason asked.
"No," Liam answered. "Do you?"
"This is my warm-up, you ass," Mason told him.
Liam started to lay down.
Mason put down his weights, taking off one of the weights from the bench press bar.
Liam sat up. "Wait. What are you doing?"
"I'm spotting you," Mason answered.
"I said I don't need one," Liam told him.
"Are you kidding me?" Mason asked. "This is, like, 300 pounds. You're gonna kill yourself."
Liam laid down, lifting the weight with ease, putting it back up, sitting up, looking at Mason. "Do I look like I need help?"
Mason sighed, shaking his head, walking out, leaving.
Liam laid down, continuing to lift the weights. He was flashing back to the fight that Natalie and Liam had with the Berserker on the rooftop of the hospital in 4.08 Time of Death, pushing the weights furiously, until he was too lost in the memory that he wasn't focusing on lifting weights.
(Song Ends)
The weight crushed against his chest, making him gasp, cough and groan in pain.
Liam was straining to get it off.
Natalie arrived after Mason had gone to get her, hurriedly grabbing the bar, pulling it away from Liam's chest, setting it back up.
Liam gasped, sitting up, coughing, kneeling to the floor.
Mason walked in behind Natalie, his mouth open in shock. "Liam."
Natalie knelt next to Liam worriedly.
"I'm fine, Natalie," Liam told her.
Natalie looked at Mason. She looked at Liam, whispering so Mason wouldn't hear. "If you don't want to be with us, that's okay. But don't push your friends away, too."
Liam looked at Mason. He looked at Natalie, nodding. He looked in the mirror behind Natalie, seeing a Berserker in the mirror behind her. "Natalie..."

Tunnels
Adriana had tracked Kate to her tunnels.
Peter was there.
Adriana looked at him suspiciously.
"Adriana, how'd you find her?" Peter asked.
"Keen sense of smell," Adriana answered. "You?"
"You tracked Kate and her Berserkers all the way down here," Peter told her. "That's very impressive, Adriana. It's too bad that the Berserkers aren't the only ones on Kate's side."
One of the Berserkers walked closer to start a fight with Adriana. Peter let his eyes glow blue and his claws grow.
Adriana glared at Peter and the Berserker, letting her claws glow and her eyes glow completely purple.

Woods
Stacie and Ari were out for a run, along a trail.
"You're getting faster, Stace," Ari told her.
"That's because I'm getting tougher," Stacie told her. "I have hell of a teacher that's been teaching me."
Ari ran ahead of Stacie, turning to face her, making her stop. "Still, though, maybe you should take it easy. You were shot, Stace."
"Yeah, shot, not killed," Stacie told her. "I'm still here, aren't I?"
"Yeah," Ari answered. "But, Stace, maybe you need to take it easy until you heal completely so that you can still stay here."
Stacie sighed. "I appreciate the concern, Ari. But I'm fine."
Ari sensed something, looking around.
They heard Kate's voice. "You're really not. Neither of you are."
They saw a Berserker's shadow in front of them.
"I"m pretty sure that's not Big Foot," Stacie told her.
Ari shook her head.
Stacie pulled the gun from her holster under her shirt, turning around, shooting at Kate.
Kate was shifted, ducking out of the way.
Ari turned to face the Berserker, letting the irises of her eyes glow purple, growling, turning her nails into claws, slashing her claws into his stomach, but not having much effect. The Berserker gripped her in a chokehold, with her head underneath his arm. Ari broke free, twisting out of their grip.
Kate lunged toward Stacie.
Stacie backed away, hiding behind a tree for cover.
"You've changed so much in such a short amount of time," Kate told her. "Last time I saw you, or you saw me, you froze."
"I was reliving memories of Allison's hallucinations about you," Stacie replied.
"Still, I'm impressed, Stacie," Kate told her. "Allison would have been proud." Stacie turned around, stepping out from behind the tree, aiming the gun at Kate, shooting. Kate ran away. Stacie turned to keep aiming at her, continuing to shoot. "You could even be a hunter."
Stacie turned around, raising the gun. "Not likely, not today, not tomorrow, not in a hundred years, not in eternity, not ever."
The Berserker tried to punch Ari. Ari caught its hand, headbutting it away, punching it in the chest. The Berserker punched Ari in the face, making her groan in pain and turn away.
Stacie felt the pain that Ari felt, though she was able to stay standing, whimpering only slightly.
Kate ran toward Stacie. Stacie shot Kate in the shoulder. Kate punched the gun out of her hand in anger with so much force Stacie fell to the ground. Stacie landed on her stomach, groaning in pain. Kate punched Stacie in the head, pulling her up from the ground by her shoulders.
Ari spun to kick the Berserker. The Berserker punched Ari in the face, trying to punch her again. Ari ducked, kicking the Berserker back. The Berserker punched into her stomach, trying to punch her. Ari ducked. The Berserker punched into her shoulder, making her turn away. Ari held her claws ready, turning to slash into it. The Berserker tried to punch Ari. Ari ducked, kicking it back. The Berserker raised his arms to slash down into Ari. Ari raised her arms over her head to block the move, slashing into it.
Stacie drew a knife, stabbing Kate in the shoulder, taking it out, slitting the knife across her shifted face, making her let go, spinning to elbow her in the face, raising the knife to stab her. Kate raised her arm over her head to block the move, twisting Stacie's arm down, elbowing her in the face, making her turn away. Stacie turned back to try to stab her. Kate kicked the knife out of her hand.
The Berserker took Ari by the arm, spinning to flip her to the ground. Ari stood, breathing heavily. The Berserker slashed toward her. Ari ducked, slashing into them repeatedly. The Berserker punched Ari in the face, kicking her in the chest, making her fall.
Kate stood over them, impressed by both of them. "Nice."
Ari growled, lunging toward Kate.
The Berserker lifted Stacie by the back of her shirt, holding her over the ground.
Stacie kicked, looking at her feet dangling in the air.
Kate looked at Ari. "I wouldn't."
Ari looked at Stacie worriedly. She glared at Kate. "What do you want?"
"Well, isn't it obvious?" Kate asked. "I want revenge against you, Ari. You're one of the wolves that destroyed my family." She looked at Stacie. "And you? Well, you're the anchor, Stacie. When one of your charges get hurt, you know exactly where they are." The Berserker lowered Stacie to the ground, pushing her to her knees. "I can't have you telling the others so you can come to the rescue. But before anything, we have to make one more stop for two more people I'm after."
Ari looked up in realization. "Scott and Tara."
Kate smirked.

Night - Hale Loft - Living Room
The lights were completely dark.
Scott opened the door, leading Tara inside for a surprise. "So, the first date has gone well so far. The movie at the theaters... Could've been better." Tara smirked. "The dinner after... But it's not over yet."
"It's not?" Tara asked, smiling a little.
Scott shook his head. "Nope."
Tara looked around. "And how do you know Derek won't show up to ruin it all?"
"I just know," Scott told her, taking her hand, leading her along. "Derek knew that we needed some time, so while we were out of the house, he let Natalie, Kira and Angel set up the surprise for you."
"What surprise?" Tara asked.
"The surprise that is the greatest apology I have ever made," Scott answered. He put their hands on a light bulb in front of them. "I want you to know how sorry... I really am."
(Song:) Given the Chance - The Kite String Tangle
Scott twisted their hands to turn the lights on.
There were light bulbs hanging from the ceiling everywhere, at different lengths.
Tara smiled in surprise, looking around.
Scott looked at Tara. "Consider this the best apology I've ever given." Tara smiled. "Did I do okay?"
"On the apology or the first date?" Tara asked.
"Both," Scott answered.
"For all of the apologies I've been given, this is definitely the best," Tara told him. Scott smiled. "For the first real date, it's a start."
Scott smiled, resting a hand on her cheek, kissing Tara slowly and softly. Tara slowly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer into a more deep kiss. Scott lifted her from the floor, slowly walking toward the couch, sitting down. Tara sat next to him, pulling away, looking at him. Scott looked at her questioningly, wondering if she was okay with this and if she wanted to go on. Tara smiled a small smile, nodding. Scott leaned further back onto the couch, pulling Tara closer. Tara straddled him, kissing him passionately. Scott slid back Tara's jacket, kissing along her neck, up to her cheek. Tara held his chin, turning his head to kiss him on the lips. They continued to kiss passionately, making out.
(Song Ends)
Tara stopped, pulling away, sensing something, looking behind her toward the window.
"Tara?" Scott asked. Ari and Stacie were thrown through the wall of windows, making them shatter, falling to the floor, landing on shards of glass, cut up, bleeding and weak, coughing up blood to the floor. They looked up at Scott and Tara. Scott and Tara were horrified and worried, standing, running closer. "Stacie! Ari!"
Stacie shook her head. "Run."
"What?" Scott asked.
"Go!" Ari told them.
The Berserkers and Kate jumped through the broken window, inside.
Kate smirked.

Stilinski House - Stiles' Room
Stiles and Malia were studying, lying on the bed.
Sheriff knocked on the door, walking in. "Drop what you're doing. I'm taking you both out to dinner. Whatever you want."
"Dad, I don't think a man of your debts should be treating anyone to anything," Stiles told him.
"Well, there's one debt we no longer have to worry about," Sheriff told him, taking out a letter, handing it to Stiles.
Stiles took it. "What is that?"
"A letter of apology from Eichen House," Sheriff answered. "Apparently, they've decided to forgive our debt due to... well, you, Stacie, Lydia and Adriana almost getting murdered."
"They can do that?" Malia asked.
"They can do it, and they did it," Sheriff answered.
Stiles smiled. "I have never been so happy to have almost been murdered."
"Well, we're not out of it yet," Sheriff told him. "But... we're going to be okay." Stiles smiled, nodding. "And at least for the moment, I can afford to take my son, my daughter and your girlfriend out to dinner."
"Well, actually, Stacie's supposed to be training with Derek tonight," Stiles told him. He shook his head. "Don't ask me why, because the dead pool's done, but Stace still wants to know more so she can fight better and defend herself."
"Well, I can't blame her for that," Sheriff told them. Stiles closed his books, standing. "Malia, what's your favorite food?"
"Deer," Malia answered.
Sheriff nodded awkwardly.
"Pizza," Stiles told him. "She likes pizza."
Malia smiled.

Tunnels
Peter and Adriana had been fighting all this time. Both of them were in pretty bad shape.
Adriana was in worse shape because before the second Berserker had left, it had torn into her viciously, and on top of feeling her own pain, she could also feel Ari's. She was also holding herself back quite a bit. She pushed Peter against the wall angrily. "What the hell is happening to Ari?"
"She's in bit of a predicament," Peter answered. "You, Arielle, Scott, Stacie... even Tara. You're strong, Adriana. But it's harder to fight after being mangled by a Berserker, and when you feel your pain and Arielle's, isn't it? You're also not giving this fight your all, are you? Like some self-loathing part of you doesn't want to keep going, doesn't want to keep fighting, becausee you want to be punished for the things that you did when the darkness had control over you. Don't you? You actually want to die?" Adriana shook her head angrily, glaring, kneeing Peter in the stomach. Peter tried to punch her. Adriana caught his arm, twisting his arm back behind his back, kneeing him in the back, making him fall to the ground. Wolfsbane floated down through the pipelines in the wall to poison Adriana on either side of her, making her gasp for breath though she stayed standing, while Peter wasn't standing in the way of the wolfsbane, so he wasn't weakened anymore, though Adriana had already beat him to hell. Peter grabbed a pipe laced with yellow fluid, taking advantage of the fact that Adriana couldn't see him through the wolfsbane fog, driving the pipe into Adriana's stomach, making her gasp in pain. "Also helps that I have wolfsbane to poison you, Adriana." Adriana tried to take the pipe out. Peter stopped her. "No, no, no, no, no. Adriana, allow me." Peter drove it deeper into Adriana's stomach, driving it into the wall, bending the pipe into a U so it would be nearly impossible for her to get it out before it reached her heart. Adriana was breathing heavily in pain, gasping. "Adriana, you rest here for a while. You've been fighting for your redemption for a long time, Adriana. It must be exhausting. Take a break. And if you did actually want to die to punish yourself for the things that you did, then just leave that in, and it'll all be over by tomorrow night. You won't have to live with it anymore. Think about it."
Peter walked away, leaving. Adriana groaned, gasping in pain, reaching to the pipe. She hesitated, not sure if she wanted to take it out or not, breathing heavily.

Liam's House - Liam's Room
Liam was sitting on his bed.
Mason was standing in front of him, tossing a video game onto the bed next to him. "I know something's going on. I know you don't want to talk about it. But you're still my best friend. And, um..." He sat next to Liam. "Considering the fact that the last good friend I made turned out to be a professional killer, I'm thinking that I don't have too many options for new ones. So, when you're ready to talk, talk. Until then, I know I can kick your ass at at least one of these games."
Liam looked at Mason skeptically.
Mason nodded.
Liam smirked, picking up a game. "Never played this one."
They smiled.

Hale Loft - Living Room
Kate and the Berserkers had been beating on Scott, Tara and Ari since their arrival, making them bloody and beaten.
Stacie was on the floor in pain, breathing heavily.
Scott had blood covered a corner of his forehead, blood trailing down from his lips, fallen unconscious.
Berserker 1 carried Scott toward the door. Scott woke, looking around in confusion. Berserker 1 growled, snarling, throwing him into the door, making him fall down the steps to the floor.
Ari was fighting Berserker 2, blood matting to her head. Slashes were over her face and body. Blood was trailing from her nose and mouth.
Tara was just as bad. There were slashes all over her body. Blood was over her neck, forehead and chest, dripping from her nose and the corner of her lips.
Kate looked at Tara, kicking her into an iron gating several feet behind her, making her fall.
Tara wiped away the blood from her lips, glaring at Kate.
"Experiencing some deja vu, Tara?" Kate asked tauntingly, walking closer.
"You mean you cheating?" Tara asked. "Using the Berserkers when you know you can't beat us on your own?"
Kate growled in anger.
Tara spun around into a standing position, kicking Kate in the head, slashing toward her. Kate caught her arm, twisting it until it broke, making her groan in pain. Tara kicked Kate in the stomach, punching her in the face with her uninjured arm, making her fall to the floor, holding her arm, watching it heal.
Scott was facing Berserker 1, jumping onto the table. Berserker 1 slashed toward him. Scott ducked, flipping off of the table, kicking Berserker 1 back.
Ari turned to face Berserker 2, growling. Berserker 2 slashed toward her. Ari ducked, spinning around to stand behind it. Berserker 2 turned to face her, slashing toward her. Ari ducked, spinning around to stand behind it again. Berserker 2 turned to face her, running closer. Ari turned away from it, running up a support beam, back flipping over Berserker 2 to the floor behind it, facing it. Berserker 2 spun to slash into her face, making her spit out blood and fall to the floor.
Berserker 2 grabbed Stacie by the throat, pulling her up from the floor, walking toward the patio, dangling her above the ground a few hundred feet, threatening to drop her.
Scott and Tara stood, running closer to help.
Berserker 1 grabbed Scott to stop him, slamming him against the wall.
Kate punched Tara in the face, pushing her back into a beam, punching her in the face, pushing her down. Tara tried to stand. Kate pushed her back, hitting her head against the beam, making her fall.
Scott was breathing heavily, looking toward Tara. "This went a lot different in my head."
Berserker 2 growled, easing up on his hold around Stacie's throat.
Stacie struggled to stay up, holding its wrists.
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no," Ari told them. She looked at Kate. "What do you want from us?"
"I want a little bit of insight," Kate answered.
"To what?" Scott asked.
"My family," Kate answered. "The Argent family has been around for over 400 years. A powerful, wealthy, aristocratic family of Werewolf hunters. But yet somehow, in less than a year, this great family is decimated by two teenage children."
"It wasn't just them... Kate," Tara told her. "You know that."
Kate looked at her. "You're absolutely right, Tara. And it was you, Derek and Peter, three members from a nearly extinct family of Werewolves." Tara glared toward her. "So my question is simple. What the hell is so special about Scott McCall, Arielle Martin and the Hales?"
"You want us?" Ari asked. "Take us. Just us."
"Oh, no, we're all going," Kate told them. She looked at Tara and Stacie. "We're all going to church."
Kate looked at Tara, roaring.

Day Three
Morning - Beacon Hills High School - Girls' Locker Room
(Song:) Yes Girl - Bea Miller
Kira was getting excited for the first game, walking into the bathroom to see Angel buying a bag of pills from a girl.
"Thanks," Angel told her.
"Slow down on those things, Angel," the girl told her.
"Says the girl who does more than me," Angel replied. She noticed Kira by the door. She looked at the girl awkwardly. "Hey, thanks, yeah, see you later."
The girl gave Angel a weird look, turning around, walking out, leaving.
Kira looked at Angel. "Not judging, but I think she's right, Angel. You need to slow down." Angel looked at her shaking hands. "Angel?"
Angel looked at Kira, shaking her head. "When are you going to stop trying to change me? Look, Kira, I know that you care. Okay, everybody cares. But everything has been sent into overdrive."
"Angel, you mean since the fire that burned you alive but didn't kill you," Kira told her.
Angel nodded. "I don't know what's happening to me. I can't feel anything anymore. Not like the way that I used to. The drinking, the drugs, it doesn't effect me anymore. And because of it..."
"You're going through withdrawal," Kira realized. "That's why you've been acting so intense, Angel."
"Yeah," Angel answered. "I'm overwhelmed and paranoid all the time. I can't sleep. I can't concentrate. I can't..." She couldn't finish, sighing, looking down. "I don't know if I can keep doing this."
Kira looked at her sadly. "Angel, you're not yourself right now. You shouldn't make any decisions while you're... like this."
"You have enough problems without adding me to your list," Angel told her.
Kira sighed. "Look, Angel, I'm sorry for being so hard on you about the addictions. And I'm sorry about my parents."
"You don't have to apologize," Angel told her. "It's all my fault. Everything is. It's all on me. I was burned alive, but I didn't die, because I could very well be a demon from hell. We don't know the first thing about what I am or what I can do, and while I'm like this, I'm dangerous, Kira. Your mom's right about that."
"It's okay that you're scared, Angel," Kira told her.
"You're right," Angel told her. "I am scared. Of myself. You should be, too."
Kira shook her head. "Angel, I'm not scared of you."
"I am," Angel told her. "I know that this isn't gonna work out, Kira. But I hope that we don't get cut off from each other completely. I just have to do this one more time." Kira looked at her in confusion. Angel stepped closer, pulling Kira closer into a slow, sweet kiss for a long moment that could have been for the last time. They pulled away, looking at each other sadly. "I'm sorry. But I can't."
Angel walked out, leaving.
Kira was left alone, stunned.

Stiles and Liam walked in to get ready for the first game tonight.
"Everything's fine," Stiles told him. "I got a text from them this morning. They said they might be a little late."
"How late is late?" Liam asked. Stiles turned to face him. "Are they always late? We're playing Devenford Prep again, and this time, it's an actual game. They shouldn't be late."
Coach walked closer. "Who shouldn't be late?"
Liam sighed.
Stiles nodded for Liam to tell him.
Stiles looked at Coach. "Scott, Ari and Stacie might be slightly late."
Coach stammered. "Slightly late is still late. Well, what are they doing?"
Stiles raised his eyebrows. "They're... They're doing something that's gonna make them slightly late."
"What could Scott, Ari and Stacie be doing right now that's more important than playing the first game?" Coach asked.
There was a long awkward silence.
Stiles looked at Liam. He looked at Coach, shaking his head. "Oh, Coach."

Stiles, Kira and Liam sat together in uniform on the bench.
Natalie and Malia walked up behind them.

"Still not here," Liam answered, looking down.
Malia looked t Liam. "Okay, what's really going on? I can smell the fear radiating off of you." Liam looked away. "Are you nervous about the full moon? It's not for another 24 hours."
They looked up at the moon that was a night away from being full.
Natalie looked at Liam. "Liam, you're gonna be fine. Just try not to rage out on anyone."
"Natalie, you aren't worried?" Liam asked.
"Okay, we're mildly concerned," Stiles told him. "Mildly."
Stiles pulled out his phone to text Stacie. How late you, Ari and Scott gonna be? Very worried. Very.
"We're gonna lose without them," Liam told them.
"No, we're not," Stiles told him. "We'll do just as good without them. I've been practicing. And let me tell you something. I'm getting good. Really good."
Natalie and Malia walked toward the bleachers, sitting next to Mason.

Three Devenfords ran toward Stiles. Stiles stared at them blankly. They pushed him down, making him drop the ball.
Stiles was still laying down.

Adriana was still impaled on the wall with the wolfsbane-laced pipe through her stomach, weakly pulling at it as it got closer and closer to her heart.
Lydia and Macey ran inside. "Adriana? Adri?"
"Adri?" Lydia asked worriedly.
"How... how did you..." Adriana trailed off.
"I just knew," Lydia answered. "I had a feeling that you were gonna die, Adriana."
Adriana chuckled weakly without humor. "Yeah. Well, it feels like I'm dying."
"Adriana, how long have you been like this?" Macey asked.
"I don't know," Adriana told them. "Might have blacked out a few times. It's laced with wolfsbane. Peter did this, and a Berserker. Listen to me. Kate's going after Scott, Ari and Tara. Peter and Kate. They'll take Stacie with them so she can't warn the others about where they're going. You've got to warn them."
"We can't, Adri," Macey told her. "There's no service down here."
"Then just go," Adriana told them.
"If we leave right now, you'll be dead by the time we get back," Lydia told her. "There's no way that we're leaving you to die, Adri."
"Adri, we're getting you out of here," Macey told her. "I saved you from the wolfsbane before, Adriana. I can do it again."

"Uh, you don't tell him anything, okay?" Stiles asked. "You're gonna be okay, all right?"
The whistle blew.
Stiles walked toward Sheriff, Malia and Natalie, talking indistinctly.
Kira and Liam stood, walking toward the field.
He could hear Natalie's voice."You want us to stay here if they show up?"
"Yes, Natalie," Stiles answered.
Stiles and Sheriff walked away, leaving.

Another player hit her stick, making her fall and drop the ball. He threw the ball toward Brett. Brett caught it, running for the goal.
Liam ran toward him, freezing. He began to hallucinate a Berserker on the field, seeing it knock down several Devenford players before skewering Brett. He was frozen by his fear, standing by.
Natalie frowned in confusion. "Liam?"
"Liam!" Coach told him. "For the love of God, move!"
The players ran past him toward the goal.
Brett threw it into the goal.

Liam and Brett took off their helmets.

"'Cause you're afraid," Brett answered. "I can smell it on you from across the field. Are you hurt?"
"No," Liam answered defensively.
"Are you still alive?" Brett asked.
"Obviously," Liam answered.
"Then get up," Brett told him.
Liam stood.
The ref walked up to them, looking at Liam. "You good to play?" Liam nodded. The ref looked at Brett. "You planning on pulling something like that again?"

"How about mother-daughter time?" Peter asked. Malia looked at him. "That's right. I found our Desert Wolf."
"Is she definitely my mother?" Malia asked.
"Yes," Peter answered. "But if you want to find her, you're going to have to do something for me. Something that's come naturally to you for a very long time."
"Do you always have to get something in return?" Malia asked.
"When it's something I can't do on my own?" Peter asked. "Yes."

La Iglasia - Dungeon
Stacie woke in the dark giant, dungeon-like room, lying on a floor covered in bones and skeletons.
Tara stood over her. "Took you long enough."
Stacie pushed herself up off the floor, looking above them to the ceiling too high to climb out, patched over with metal. "Scott? Ari?"
There was a crosshatch of metal bars keeping them inside the room, an iron grating.
Tara walked toward the iron grating, trying to lift with as much strength as she could, but she couldn't, groaning in exertion. She looked outside, looking around in recognition. "Oh, my God." Stacie looked at her in confusion. "You've gotta be kidding me." Tara tried to lift again, grabbing the gate. "Scott?" She looked through the spaces between the bars. "Ari!"
"Where are we?" Stacie asked. "You have this look like you know exactly where we are."
Tara sighed, tilting her head against the gate. "La Iglasia."
Stacie looked at her in shock. "The Church?"
"We're in an Aztec temple," Tara answered. "In Mexico."

Beacon Hills High School - Boys' Locker Room
The game was over.
Brett and Liam were in the locker room.
Liam was sitting down.
"You okay?" Brett asked.
"We lost," Liam told him.
"But you're okay, right?" Brett asked.
"Why'd you do that?" Liam asked. "Why'd you help me?"
"Because of Scott," Brett answered. "He saved me. He saved all of us. Do you know how lucky you are?"
"What do you mean?" Liam asked.
"Scott's a True Alpha," Brett told him. "That means he didn't get his power because he was born with it. He didn't get it by stealing or killing someone. He earned it. Ari and Adriana, they're half-Beta, half-Alpha half-breeds that can give and take power at will, that are stronger than everyone. That makes all three of them so unique. You're not strong just because you can lift a lot of weight now. You're strong because you endure. Satomi calls it strength of character. You're lucky to have them."
Brett walked away, leaving.
"Then why aren't they here?" Liam asked. He sighed. "I know you're there, Natalie."
Natalie sighed, walking into view. "What happened to you out there?"
Liam shook his head. "I don't wanna talk about it, Natalie."
Natalie hesitated, nodding. "Okay." She started to walk away. "I'll leave you alone, then. If that's what you want."
Liam caught her arm, making her stop. "Natalie, wait. Last thing I want is to be alone right now."
Natalie looked at Liam in confusion, slowly sitting down next to him. "I'm worried about you."
"Natalie, I know," Liam told her.
"The dead pool's done," Natalie told him. "It's dead. No one's coming to kill us. Why are you so scared?"
Liam looked at Natalie, looking like he wanted to tell her. "Natalie..."
Natalie really was worried about him.

Tunnels
Adriana was still pinned to the wall by the pipe.
Lydia and Macey were trying to help her pull it out.
Adriana was groaning in pain.
Lydia and Macey stopped, looking at her in regret.
"Sorry, Adriana," Lydia told her.
"Adriana, I'm sorry," Macey told her. "We can't do this ourselves. It's not bending back, and it's not coming out of the wall."
"Leave," Adriana told them.
Macey shook her head. "Adri, we can't do that, either. We need you to help us, Adri. I know you're hurt and you're tired and you're dying, but I need you to gather everything you've got and help us."
Adriana had tears in her eyes, hanging her head, so upset and defeated that she was continuously tracing the double infinity sign tattoo on her wrist. "I deserve this. After everything that I did, I deserve this. I deserve to die. But they don't. Please, go. Just go. We're running out of time."
"I know that you feel guilty for everything that happened while you were in the Alpha Pack," Lydia told her. "I know that you think you deserve to die because of what they made you do. And that's why you nearly let Brunski kill you. And why you held back against Peter and the Berserker, why you're like this right now. But you think that you deserve this. But you weren't gone, Adriana. You came back to us. You saved Stacie. You saved me. You saved Malia. And Natalie, and Derek, and Tara, Ari, Scott, Kira, Stiles, and Angel... and Allison." Adriana closed her eyes over her tears. "Stacie, Natalie and Allison sacrificed a lot to help free you from the control of the Alphas. She believed in you enough to forgive you for what you've done." Adriana started to cry. "She wouldn't want you to give up because you can't live with the things that you did. She would want you to keep fighting so that you can see that you're better than that. And that you were always better than that."
"Don't let yourself die and let your demons win, Adriana," Macey told her. "Keep fighting to make sure they lose."
Adriana became stronger with anger and grief and determination, looking up, letting her eyes glow completely purple, gripping the pipe in her stomach, starting to pull with all the remaining strength she had left.
Lydia and Macey started to pull with her.
Adriana was groaning from the pain, roaring from the effort it took to pull the pipe out of her, looking at the ceiling above her.

Hale Loft - Living Room
Stiles and Sheriff walked into the loft to see Derek.
Derek was looking over the destruction of the loft.
"What the hell happened?" Stiles asked.
Derek stood. "It was supposed to be a date."
"Scott and Tara were both here?" Sheriff asked.
"And they're both gone," Derek answered.
"Ari and Stacie are missing, too," Stiles told him. Derek looked at him in surprise and worry. Stiles' phone rang. He pulled it out, answering. "Hey."
Angel's voice was on the other line. "Scott and Ari have been taken."
Angel, Jordan and Deaton were in the backroom of the clinic.
Angel's phone was on speaker, lying on the table.
"Yeah, and Stacie and Tara," Stiles told them. "We just don't know where."
"Mexico," Deaton told them. "And if you want to save their lives, that's where you're going, too."
Deaton, Angel and Jordan looked at each other worriedly.

La Iglasia - Dungeon
Tara held the gate, closing her eyes, listening for anything she could hear.
Stacie was standing behind her. "Can you hear them? Scott, Ari, Kate, Berserkers, anything?" Tara didn't answer, eyes still closed, listening. "What's happening? Tara!"
Tara opened her eyes, looking at Stacie, tilting her head. "Shut up and maybe I can tell you."
Stacie held her hands up in a harmless gesture, backing away, gesturing for Tara to go ahead.
Tara rolled her eyes, looking forward, closing her eyes, exhaling, trying to listen.

Elsewhere
Ari was chained down, draped with purple wolfsbane.
Scott was chained down, draped with purple wolfsbane.
They woke up, weakened by the wolfsbane.
Kate walked closer. "Tell me, Scott. Ari. They ever teach you the myth of Artemis and Actaeon in school? No? I didn't think so. Well, Artemis was a goddess. And Actaeon was a hunter that happened to see Artemis bathing naked one day. This did not make the goddess too happy. In fact, she was so angry, Artemis turned Actaeon into a deer and this sent his own hounds into a frenzy. He was actually torn apart by his own hunting dogs."
Kate was arranging Berserker bones on the tables.
"What are you doing?" Scott asked.
Kate chuckled. "I'm not gonna turn you two into deer. But you are about to become something unrecognizable to your friends. They won't know what they're fighting. Or killing."

"What's going on?" Stacie asked worriedly. "Tara? Tara!" Tara looked at Stacie, breathing heavily. "What's going on?"
"Kate's turning them into Berserkers," Tara answered, turning to the gate.
Stacie looked around, hopelessly confused and despaired.

Scott and Ari were still chained down with wolfsbane, weakened. They had heard what Tara had told Stacie, struggling.
"Kate, hold on," Ari told her. "No, Kate, no."
A Berserker held Ari to the table.
"No, Kate," Scott told her. "Don't." Kate smiled, holding the bone mask above Ari dramatically. "No, no. No!"
Ari struggled. "No, don't!"
Kate put the mask over Ari's face.
"No, no!" Scott told her. "No! Stop! Wait, no!"
Ari screamed from within the Berserker mask.
Scott screamed in anger, frustration, denial and horror.
