"Goodbyes hurt when the story is not finished,and the book has been closed forever.."

Dear Maddie,

You would not believe how bad of a girl I turned to be, I snuck out of the house! can you believe it! shocking I know, but it wad for my safety, and Maddie what the hell did you do before you died! its like you committed a crime somehow. So ya I snuck outside the house and snuck into school at night, to see the most weirdest things ever. A pregnancy report that has your name on it Maddie!! and in a teachers office, this whole thing feels like I am in a movie waiting to be woken up so its all a dream and I can finally be okay. But I guess that will never happen right. I guess ill just dream of a happy ending... Enough of my depressing entry, here is our poem Maddie its called Never forgotten-

You'll never be forgotten

that simply cannot be.

As long as I am living

I'll carry you with me

Safely tucked within my heart.

Your light will always shine;

A glowing ember never stilled,

Throughout the end of time,

No matter what the future brings,

Or what lies ahead.

I know that you will walk with me,

Along the path I tread.

So rest my angel, be at peace,

And let your soul fly free.

One day I'll join your glorious flight,

For all eternity.

You never know how time passes so slow, when curiosity is eating you all out. I am currently waiting outside Ms. Melanie's office waiting for her to open her office so she could tell me about Maddie. I mean I actually have a chance against the person who killed Maddie.

But one thing I know is that I shouldn't let pride course through me, cause it can dwindle in a second.

7:30

30 minutes and I am waiting still she hadn't passed by, but weirdly enough, the hallway is very quiet. No ruckus has been formed and everyone is somber, like someone died.

I shook my head. This is impossible! I don't think they would go to this extent, but when you get to think of it they killed a teen, they can do anything they put their mind to.

I decided to give up and took my backpack from the floor and started walking to my locker and I saw my friends and Ace-

Wait Ace? what is he doing here, he told me to stop being friends with him and here he is now standing in front of my locker.

But one thing got my attention, he was looking around frantically his eyes wide with terror, his head swishing side to side so fast, until he stopped when his eyes sea green eyes landed on me and his shoulders slumped in relief.

He rushed towards me and my friends had a confused expression on their faces expect for Nora, she was smirking cause she knew I liked Ace.

"Are you okay?" Ace said breathing rapidly.

Confusion swept through me, why wouldn't I be? I voiced my thoughts to him. "Why wouldn't I be?"

He seemed to be nervous as he started biting his lips. "Umm nothing just making sure you are alright after the incident." he said murmuring the word incident.

"What incident?" I said feeling very confused, it's like he is talking in Morse code.

"Umm nothing." He said looking down at his shoes like it's the most interesting in the world. He then added "Don't you know what happened to Ms. Melanie?" He asked looking at me.

"No what happened?" I said as fear started rising through me.

What could have happened?

"She was killed at her house." Ace said and I felt the tears on his face.

I couldn't hide the shock. Dead? is it because I called her yesterday and she was going to reveal for me the truth. Is she dead because of me?

Many thoughts spiraled through my head and I felt the world spinning.

"Hey, take it easy." Ace said in a soothing voice while holding my body against his,his hand on my midsection.

We were way to close.

But then I remembered that Ace was ignoring me, and was being absolutely mean to me.so I did the unexpected.

I pushed him away at his chest, but surprisingly his chest is made of brick somehow.

He looked so shocked and hurt.

But then started laughing.

At me!

I huffed in annoyance and crossed my hands at my chest and looked at him with the deadliest expression I could ever muster.

"You are the one who told me to stay away form you ,and look now, you are the one getting close to me. Ace I am tired of this, please just tell me your motives now." I said looking at him softly the deadly expression disappearing from my face.

I can never hold a grudge against Ace.

He looked at me and was about to hold my hand my decided against it. "Kendall, I know my actions aren't justified but please just stick with me and I promise things will get better soon." he said looking at me sympathetically.

I didn't know what to do. Do I give him a second chance?

I decided to give him a second chance. Maybe just maybe he will change and at some point he will explain everything to me when the time is right.

I sighed and said "I will give you another chance, but please please don't mess it up."

He looked like a child on Christmas Eve waiting for his presents. He seems so happy and his smile was so wide that I couldn't help but smile with him.

He took two steps closer to me and looked at me, and I swear I saw him glance at my lips for a second before he looked at me.

"Thank you for believing in me, I promise I won't mess it up this time." He said in a husky voice while clutching my hand.

Maybe, just maybe things are getting better.

but as usual my perfect moment had to be ruined by the usual beep of my phone, which means I probably know who it is from "The unknown number."

I opened my phone and opened the message and my breath hitched. The message read:

"The clock is ticking, you saw the fate of miss Melanie, you are going to have the same fate soon, tick tock, tick tock."

I started breathing uncontrollably, I am going to die, well ironically I knew my death date, but everything seems just to surreal. I am going to die because some sick man wants to see me suffer, for an action my sister did, and guess what I don't even know what she did.

I need to find out what Maddie did. My life depends on it.

So according to movies, which I am probably in, whenever someone is in trouble they always go to the weirdest and most absurd answer ever. And I knew what mine was.

I would go to the place I dreaded the most.

Going into Maddie's room.
