I can't seem to let go,
to depart of these feelings for you.

Months ago, heard you say
"it's over"
but tell me, to a heart that
thought it would die in your
arms, how do I explain your
words?

To a soul that chose to burn
only for you,
in all life times it experiences,
how do I make it comprehend
your words?

For my brain understands,
but the pound of flesh
that beats within me,
yearning each night for your
cuddles, hugs and kisses doesn't.

So, I ask, lover,
whom I've loved all my life,
how do I let go of you just
as easily as you have
let go of us?
