The voice of screaming is heard from a dark room. A man in mid 20's is shown lying on an ice slab,beaten black and blue. He pleads to the goons to leave him.
MAN: Please, leave me. I've done nothing. Why are you beating me???(he cried asking for mercy)
Just then the door opened. Bringing harsh sunlight into the room. The man could not see the person clearly. He could only see his figure due to harsh light coming from outside.
The man seemed to be tall. Lean yet well built, sturdy figure, he guessed.
It was none other than Neil Khanna.
NEIL: REALLY?????? You've done nothing.... ( he said in a voice which was calm but anger was clearly visible in it).
The man found the voice to be familiar but could not distinguish it.
GOON: Good morning, Sir. Iska kya karna hai? Maar dein ya phir vahi Jo baaki Sab k saath hota hai?
Then the door shut and the face became visible to the man.
MAN: Sir aap!!!??(completely shocked)
NEIL: Haan kyun!!!(he said raising one of his eyebrows). Tujhe kya laga tu meri company ki official and confidential details humare competitors ko leak krta rahega Aur main kuch nhi karunga...
( he looks at the goon and says )
Isko vahi special treatment dena Jo pichle vaale ko di thi...... Koi gadbad nhi honi chahiye..
Saying this he left the room and one of goons followed him outside to escort him to his car.
When he stepped outside he saw a girl leaning against his car having an angry expression on her face. Despite that angry look she looked beautiful. He could not help but think that. The dress suited her a lot and made her look all the more pretty.

NEIL: ( in mind) Beta aaj to khair nhi.... Avu nhi chodegi......
Yes the girl was none other than Avni.
He plastered a confident smile on his face while he was nervous from inside. The goon enjoyed this moment as he knew what was coming ahead. His boss was afraid of only one person that is his best friend, Avni.
Neil: Arre Avu tu yahan....What a pleasant surprise. Maine to socha office chali gyi hogi tu....
Avni: Main office kaise chali jaati jabke the THE GREAT NEIL KHANNA yahan par logon ki sewa kar rhe hain..(she said sarcastically).
Neil stood there still with his eyes fixated on the ground.
Seeing his boss's this condition the goon could not help but let out a laugh. This made Neil look up and glare at him. He stopped laughing. Then again Avni started.
Avni: Aur app Mister Blackey, aap kyu hass rhe hain?????Andar jao I need to talk to this BOSS of yours..
The goon silently went inside.
Neil: Avu meri baat to sunn...
Avni cut him off
Avni: kyu sunnu main teri baat haan kyu..... Tu kabhi meri sunta hai. Maine kitni baar bola hai ye Sab mat kiya kar par tu nhi samajhta. Kyu Neil kyu???
Neil: tu jaanti hai na I can't take it jab koi meri family, mere apne Aur mere business k khilaf kuch krta hai.......( he said loudly)
He realized he was a bit too loud and the girl standing on front of her was having tears in her eyes. Avni is a very sensitive and emotional girl. After her mother's death her father brought her up alone. She was a pampered baby. Her father never scolded or talked loudly to her because she was in extreme depression then. She is a princess to her dad.
Neil quickly pulled her into his embrace and said sorry.
Neil: Avu, I'm really sorry. (He said caressing her back). Main thoda loud ho gaya na....
Avni looked up at him with teary eyes and smiled. She wasn't angry or upset because he was loud, its just she wasn't used to it. After all she was a pampered baby all her life.
Avni: Tujhe sorry kehne ki zaroorat nhi hai. But promise me tu phir kabhi aise nhi chilayega....(she held out her pinky).
He looked at it and smiled, he made the pinky promise. Both of them smiled looking into each others eyes. He wiped her tears with his thumb.
Avni: Tu mujhe rota hua nhi dekh Sakta na....
Neil: Kabhi nahi....
Neil could never stand the sight of Avni being in tears. His heart ached to see her like that. He always had a crush on her. But never admitted it out in the open. He thought his crush on her will get over now or then. He wanted to cherish the pure bond of friendship they shared.
Coming out of his thoughts.....
Neil: Chalein madam. Office k liye late ho rha hai.
Avni: Abhi nhi, thodi der Aur please......
( She said hugging him again). Neil just smiled at her antics and reciprocated the hug. Then he said
Neil: Tu best friend kam Aur ek needy girlfriend ki tarah zyada behave kr rhi hai.... He said with a smirk.
Avni broke the hug and hit his shoulder playfully.
They sat in the car and left for office.....
