Past Nate's POV
Okay so my boyfriend wants me to go check up on his friends who's and accident prone. What could go wrong? Surprisingly nothing. When the minute bell rang I was in class, had my instrument in hand and was sitting next to Shane her eyes were still kinda droopy. I tapped her shoulder

"Hey you okay?" I asked

"Yeah just tired" she yawned I pulled out the sour skittles Riley handed me. "Riley wanted me to give this to you incase you didn't eat anything." Shane took the skittles "Thanks." She said "No prob." I replied. I took time to look at the instrument she had it was an acoustic-electric guitar* it had mint green and black border for a base and the neck was a tan color. I looked at my instrument for class I had an acoustic guitar that had a dark blue with black border base and a tan neck. Since we had a sub we had to follow the same plan as if the teacher was here which was practice for the upcoming concert next month in May. Each instrument group had to play one song as a whole group but for the guitar players we each had to play a song. So I chose Die for you by Starset. "Hey Shane," I asked "What's up?" She asked "So what song did you pick?" I asked "Its my life by Bon Jovi." She answered "Is there a reason you picked that song?" I questioned "Yeah I would hear my dad singing it in the car." She replied "So how long have you been playing the guitar?" I asked "Since as long as I can remember." She answered "By the way did any of them give you a first aid kit?" She asked "Yeah Riley gave me her's." I pulled out the kit and handed it to her. She took the kit and started to take out small bandages and wrap them around her fingers. I looked at her questioning "It hurts my finger when I play too much." She answered my unsaid question. "Oh." I said

"Okay class your teacher left a message for the guitar players so can they come up." The sub said. There were only 5 guitar players (in this class but there were others in other classes) so we went up to the sub. "So apparently your teacher wants me to tell you that this concert is also a test for you guys." The sub said

"Wait what do mean a test?" One of the guitar players asked

"Yeah I mean what about the brass players?" Another one asked

"And the percussion players." The third one asked "And how about the woodwinds?" Shane asked "And the rest of the string players?" I asked "As far as you teacher has told me the other players have been tested and most of them have passed and that you guys are the last ones to be tested. He also said that if you need to the classroom for practice that it's opened. You all may go back to your seats."  The sub explained.

We all went back to our seats. "You staying after?" Shane asked "I wanted to hang out with Matt after school." I told her "Maybe we can text them to met with us here after school you know to ask for their opinions." She suggested. "I can text the group if you want." Shane offered "Yeah sure." I said okay with the idea. For the next 5 minutes Shane was in her phone texting the others. "Okay," She said looking up at me "I texted the others and they said that it's okay and that their going to met up here after school. You cool with that?" She asked "Yeah let's just get this class done with" I said

TIME SKIP
The final bell rang as I made my way to the music room I left my guitar there knowing I would come back. As I entered the room I see Shane, Riley, and Matt there. "Hey guys." I said catching their attention. "Hey." Riley greeted "How's your day?" Matt asked I sat down next to and planted a kiss in his lips "Better now that you're here." I said staring into his beautiful eyes. Felix and Stephanie came in next "Hey What's up bros?" Felix asked "How you guys doing?" Steph asked. Mark and Jack walked in a few minutes later. "Hey sorry we're late had to take a different route." Mark said "What happened?" Shane asked "There was a fight on the main staircase. Took us a while to find a different staircase." Jack explained. "Okay you guys probably know why you're here right?" I asked them "Kinda remind me again." Riley said "Thing is Nate and I have a concert next month and we just found out that it's a test." Shane reminded. "And we need your opinions on the song we chose." I continued. "Nate do you want to go first or should I?" Shane asked me "I'll go first." I answered. I turned my attention to the others as I went to go get my guitar. "Okay so the song I chose was Die for you by Starset." I said and I started to play the song. (okay so apparently I can only add one song so I'm doing Die for you by Starset)🎸

As the song ended I looked at the others. "It's a great song." Jack said "I have to agree it shows emotion about a lover and his partner in a troubled situation." Riley said "It sounds like a song someone would sing after they get in a fight with their partner." Mark noted "I was thinking the same thing." Steph agreed "Nice song bro." Felix commented "Matt what do you think?" I asked him "I love the song." When he said that it brought a smile to my face. I sat down as Shane went up. "Okay so my song is Its My Life By Bon Jovi." She started as she played her guitar.

When she finish playing she looked at the others just as I have. "So what do you think?" She asked "It feels like a standing your ground type of song." Matt said "I was gonna say that bro" Felix said "I never knew you liked those types of songs." Steph said "You put so much emotion in the guitar." Jack said "When you played that song it feels like it was from your childhood." Mark said "You miss him that much don't you?" Riley asked "Yeah I do and I know he's coming back this fall along with my mom it's just feels like this is my only connection to him and Skillet is the only connection I have with my mom." Shane answered. Matt, Jack, Mark, and I gave Shane questioning looks. "My parents go across the country during spring and summer for work they come home for the fall, winter, birthdays in my family, holidays things like that." Shane explained. "Yeah so I'm left to take care of the house, my niece and nephew, my older brother who finally got a vacation from the police force, my older sister who just got lost her job, the pets and I have to be careful with my condition. So yeah I have a full plate." She said as she smiled at us. The bell rang signaling the end of after school clubs. "Shit I have to go home see ya tomorrow." Shane said "Wait Shane let's hang out at your place." Riley said as we all waking towards her "Um yeah sure but we better hurry if we want to make it to the bus." Shane said walking a little bit faster.
