A/n: This chapter is takes place the day after Todoroki's hospitalized

Todoroki laid wide awake, staring at the hospital ceiling. He rested his hand on the bandages on his chest, not remembering the pain from the bullet wound anymore.

'It must be the shot of anesthesia...' he thought to himself. There was a loud banging outside and he sat up, wondering what it was.

Before he could leave the hospital bed, his sister, Fuyumi ran in and stopped the male. "Shoto!" she says, panic in her eyes. "Stay in bed, please!"

The male's eyes widen as he tries to move past his sister. "What's going on outside?!" he asks, only for his sister to shove him back on to the bed a bit harshly.

"Don't go outside!" she cries, tears brimming in her eyes.

"Just let me see him, please!"

'Y/n..!' Todoroki didn't hesitate to jump out of his bed, and ran out to the hallway, where he could see you, fighting against two police officers who were trying to pull you back. You had cuffs on your wrist, and his anger only burned more seeing his father standing there, arms crossed over his chest.

"You're not allowed to see Shoto." he says, his icy blue eyes narrowed at you in disgust. "It's your fault he's in here." he looks up at the officers, "Take her away."

"No! Stop!" you finally break free of the officer's grips, and without another moment wasted, you get down on your knees, and slam your head down onto the tiled floor, shocking Endeavor and the officers.

"I'm begging you!" you sob, not even caring of the tiny pool of blood building on the ground below. "I'm sorry for what I did! But please! Let me see Todoroki! Please!"

Todoroki felt his heart shatter seeing you like this. "Y/n...." he went to walk up to you, but Fuyumi pulls him back, shaking her head. Now that he had a closer look, he saw that his sister was also in tears, seeing you like this.

"Shoto...Wait for him to come." she says.

Knowing that his sister was hurting, Shoto obeyed, and stayed back, watching as the officers took you away, this time without a fight. He sits back down on his bed, glaring at the ground, digging his hands into the mattress to try and keep his anger for his father at bay.

Once the fiery hero enters the room, he looks to Fuyumi, "Leave us." he says gruffly. Fuyumi nods as she shuts the door behind her, saying a silent prayer that the two of them could get along.

"What do you want?" Shoto snaps, not in the mood to talk clearly.

Endeavor narrows his eyes at the boy, still standing. "I hope you know that she will be put in prison." he says. "She clearly gave away the location of the camp to the League, and shot you. She's not going to have a trial, as the police and I are already determining how long her sentence will be."

"Y/n doesn't deserve to be in prison." he retorts, looking up at his father. "She didn't give away the location! And with me being shot, it wasn't her fault! She was manipulated!"

"That doesn't matter." he growls, "She already admitted she was trying to get into U.A. as a spy-"

"I know that!" Shoto suddenly yells, silencing everything else in the hospital. He stands up, walking up to his father, his heterochromia eyes burning in anger. "I've known that since the beginning!"

Endeavor's eyes widen in shock, "Then why didn't you-"

"I know that she lied about saying she was forced to try and kill me!" he continues, not caring how loud he was being or that his father was trying to talk. "I know she was supposed to be a spy! But!" he bit his lip, remembering the Sports Festival. "You didn't see her at the Sports Festival....She was smiling! A smile like she was happy to be there! So many people like you and the police have given her shit, calling her a villain, and being afraid of her quirk! She has been treated like an outcast since she was little, and that's what led her to being taken by the villains!"

Shoto was letting out slow ragged breaths, feeling his chest tighten, as it was harder to breathe. Finally, he managed to speak again.

"Don't ever call her a villain again." he says in a low venomous tone, "Y/n's a hero... And the girl I love!"

Endeavor was silent for a moment, before slamming his fiery fist down on a table, shattering the wood below it as it all clattered to the ground. "Don't be ridiculous!" he roars. "Shoto! You will never be allowed to be associated with someone as foul as that vill-"

"Shut up!" Shoto yells back, this time blasting his ice in front of his father, shocking the male as the tip was dangerously close to his neck. Shoto had frost crawling up his side, as he exhaled an icy breath. He places his left hand on the large icicle, letting it slowly melt.

"I told you," he says, "Don't ever call her that again."

"Shoto! Father! Are you okay?!" The door swings open and there stands Fuyumi. Her eyes widen seeing the large icicle, and Endeavor pinned against the wall. "Shoto....." she says breathlessly.

Endeavor glares at his son once more, before kicking the icicle and shattering it. Shoto flinches from this, backing up a little, expecting his father to attack him, or worse.

However, the pro does no such thing. Instead, he storms out the doors of Shoto's room and leaves, ignoring the stares of every hospital staff member. Once he is gone, Fuyumi runs to her younger brother hugging the male tightly.

"Shoto....It's okay. We'll get her back."

He hugs back just as tightly in response, thankful his sister was on his side. He promised he would get you back, and even if that meant going against the police and his father, he'd do it.

The following day, Todoroki was released from the hospital. There was no news regarding your interrogation with the police and it'd be a lie to say he was slightly worried.

When he arrived at home, he found his father in his room, with everything trashed and burnt, clear signs of his anger from becoming the number one hero and his actions from the day before. That didn't matter to him right now though. He heads into his own room, shutting the sliding door.

He sighs, sitting down on the ground and pulling out his phone. A few months back, Midoriya had made a group chat with Mina for the entire class. He had an idea, but wasn't sure everyone would go with it. Still, it was worth a try.

He opens the group chat, seeing to his surprise, everyone was in it, even Bakugo.

<Todoroki>:

Hey, everyone. I know I don't use the chat, but, can I talk to you all?

Todoroki grimaced, not expecting anyone to answer. He set down his phone on the ground, but then there was a loud chime and he immediately picked up the phone.

<Uraraka>:

Sure! What's up Todoroki?

<Sero>:

Hey man you out of the hospital?!

<Mina>:

Yahoo! The cutest boy in the class lives!

<Yaoyorozu>:

Thank goodness you're alright!

<Midoriya>:

What's wrong Todoroki-kun?

Todoroki didn't bother reading all of the replies, because in all honesty, it was a bit stressful to him for seeing so many texts at once.

<Todoroki>:

It's about Y/n....Look, I know she seemed off during the attack, but please trust me, she didn't betray us.

<Tsuyu>:

What makes you so sure Todoroki-kun?

<Sato>:

Yeah....You don't have any actual proof do you?

<Todoroki>:

No, look. She was being controlled, It was the league's doing.

<Uraraka>:

I think I speak for everyone, when I say that we all see Y/n as a friend.....

<Iida>:

Yeah. You're absolutely right about that. But, we don't have any solid evidence to prove against the police.

<Todoroki>:

I'm thinking about breaking her out of prison.

<Midoriya>:

o_0 Eh?! Todoroki-kun?! You're not serious are you?!

<Mina>:

What a bad boy~ >:D

<Sero>:

Oi oi don't go encouraging him!!

<Todoroki>:

I'm not asking you guys to do it with me. I'm just letting you know.

<Kirishima>:

NO WAY MAN!! WE GO DOWN TOGETHER!

<Uraraka>:

Yeah!! We'll help you get Y/n!! :)

<Bakugo>:

Don't do that stupid shit.

Everyone who was answering the chat looked at the name with wide eyes. Bakugo was answering the chat?! But why?! Did he possibly have a plan?! Everyone anxiously waited for the blonde to respond. However, Todoroki heard a separate chime from his phone, and sees that Bakugo direct messaged him.

<Bakugo>:

Listen here fucking icy hot. Don't go and fucking break her out and make it worse.

<Todoroki>:

Do you have any better ideas?

<Bakugo>:

Yeah. Get everyone in the class to vouch for her. They don't need fucking bullshitty evidence. Just have everyone vouch for her.

<Todoroki>:

But they're interrogating her tomorrow aren't they? Won't it be too late?

<Bakugo>:

Don't worry about that part. Now are you going to do what I fucking said or do I need to pound it into your head you fucking half n half bastard?

<Todoroki>:

....Fine. I'm trusting you Bakugo, so come through with whatever your plan is.

<Bakugo>:

HAH?! SHUT THE FUCK UP! DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO! I'LL FUCKING KICK YOU SO HARD YOU'LL GO FLYING DOWN TO HELL!

Todoroki sweat drops at the last text, before going back to the group chat. The rest of the class, who hadn't responded before all read the messages.

<Todoroki>:

Everyone, when the cops visit you, please vouch for Y/n. Bakugo says he has a plan.

<Mina>:

Can do~!

<Yaoyorozu>:

Alright!

<Midoriya>:

What's Kacchan's plan?

<Bakugo>:

None of your fucking business you damn nerd. Now stop fucking texting and go to sleep.

<Kirishima>:

I knew we could count on you Bakubro!

<Kaminari>:

Ooh don't tell me Lord Explosion Murder has a thing for Y/n-chan~! ;)

<Bakugo>:

In your dreams dunce face.

Todoroki narrowed his eyes at the words, feeling a bit angry reading them. Then again, it was Bakugo. So he decides to shrug it off. He shuts off his phone, letting out a small sigh of relief. He hopes whatever Bakugo's plan was to help you would work.

At the same time, when Shoto had come home, Endeavor had evidently taken his anger out on the furniture in his room. When he heard Shoto come home, he decided to head to the hospital, to pay a certain someone...a visit.

When he signed in, he was given the room number of his wife, Rei Todoroki. He stood in front of the door, not dressed in his usual hero outfit, but a plain t shirt instead. He didn't know why, but he had a strong feeling that he should talk to Rei.

He opens the door, and the white haired female turns to see her visitor, only to gasp softly, a flash of panic across her face, but only for a moment.

"Can we talk?" he asks in a gruff voice, closing the door behind him. Rei felt her breath hitch in her throat, her heart racing but she manages a shaky smile and nods.

"Of course," she points to her bed, where Endeavor takes a seat. The two are silent for a moment, feeling the tension in their air prevent them from talking. FInally, Endeavor is the first to speak up.

"I'm assuming you heard that Shoto ended up in the hospital," he begins, looking down at his hands that rest on his lap. "A young girl, named Y/n L/n, who was a spy for the League of Villains, shot him in the chest and fought with Shoto."

Rei's eyes widen, recalling your visit to the hospital. Still, now she was even more curious as to why he was here, and talking to her about this.

"Did you know her at all?" he asks looking up at Rei. "The girl never talked to me, she just stayed at the house, on Nezu's orders."

Rei pauses for a moment, wondering what to say here. She saw that light in your eyes, one that showed you were happy with her son. Not to mention, what Shoto had told her a few weeks back. About his true feelings for you. The female smiles, nodding.

"Yes. I don't think that she betrayed Shoto, or her classmates." she says in a kind voice, slowly gaining back her volume, as the thought of you seemed to calm her in this situation. "A while back, those two came to visit me. I saw that look in their eyes. Those two....They're in love with each other."

Endeavor goes silent, for some reason, going back to when he first met Rei. He stands up, making a clicking noise with his tongue. "Whatever you say. I don't know why I came anyways..."

"Are you going to give those to me?"

He raises an eyebrow, remembering the bouquet of blue flowers in his hand. He completely forgot that he had brought them. The male says nothing as he merely leaves them on her bed. "Put those in water before they die." is the last thing he says before leaving Rei alone in her room.

Rei smiles, putting the flowers in a clear glass vase, filling it half way with water. She felt her heart warm at the sight of the blue flowers, being that they were her favorites. On her desk next to them, was a stack of opened letters that she'd been receiving from Shoto.

They were all stories of his time at U.A., and some of them had even mentioned you a few times. She remembered one in particular. She dug through the stack, pulling out one of the letters, reading it silently to herself. The date was four days before the summer training camp had begun.

Dear Mom,

There's something I need to tell you. It's about Y/n. We're going to a summer training camp as a class, and I'm worried about her. She seemed very discouraged when she heard we were all going to the trip. I don't understand why. I tried to confront her about it, but she didn't say anything.

You can't tell anyone about this; but since my first encounter with her....I knew. I've known this whole time that Y/n was a spy for the League. Back when we were training for the Sports Festival, I caught her talking to a man named Kurogiri, a warp gate man and was talking about how she infiltrated U.A. for that purpose.

At first, I hated her for it. I wanted to do everything I could to catch her in the act, send her to prison where no one could find her again. But then..During the Sports Festival, when she won her first match, there was this sudden change in her eyes. I don't know how to describe it, but, she looked truly happy.

Over time, I tried to get to know her better. I kept telling myself, it's all an act, and she doesn't truly care for anyone. But then, when the Hero Killer attacked, she protected me. She protected my classmates, and the pro hero Native that was there. She said she wants to be a hero, and I believe her.

That day, when I visited you, I meant what I said. I'm in love with Y/n. I want to be with her. But, I think I'm going to help her, like she helped me first. I'm going to save her from her past. Just like she did for me.
