Aphmau, her name was always on my mind. Now as we, Vylad, Travis, and Katelyn are fleeing as fast as we can from Nahakara village and the invading Tu'la forces. Aphmau and I before fleeing had a argument, someone we had come to know as a friend may have had to be left behind. Aphmau did not want to leave him, but we had to escape before the Tu'la came. I managed to convince her to come, but she came hesitantly. I look back and see Nahakara village slipping from view with the Tu'la army closing in around the small village. We have to get as far away and we only have one rout the forest. According to Vylad many people who enter are never seen again, but with Travis's boat being taken to fight the Tu'la against their massive ships we couldn't go by sea. When we are bout a few miles or so from Nahakara village we finally catch out breaths. "That was close!", said Katelyn panting. "We almost didn't make it!", said Travis taking deep breaths. "I know.", said Vylad who was breathing heavily. "Everyone ok other than being out of breath?", said Aphmau who was breathing fast. "Wait where's Aaron?", said Katelyn. Hearing that Aphmau shot a somewhat angry glance at me. Should I tell them? Of course I should they are my partners I have to tell them. "Well um Arron. We may have left him behind.", I said with guilt,"He'll be fine, he knows this region better than anyone we know." "Laurence why would you leave him! The Tu'la could capture him!", said Katelyn. "Arron should be fine like Laurence said and he carries around that giant sword he can protect himself and he know where Phonix Drop is so he knows where to come find us.", said Travis. "Good point.", said Vylad. "Come on we need to get going the Tu'la could be behind us we need to keep moving.", said Aphmau. "Aphmau is right we need to keep moving, but keep within sight of each other Vylad said we could easily get lost in this forest.", I said. We then walked since we were out of breath, but we had to keep moving so the Tu'la wouldn't catch up with us. After a couple of hours of walking we had to at least be past the Tu'la and Nahakara village. We set up camp and would each take turns on lookout in case the Tu'la were spotted and we could get away. Travis would be on lookout first then me then Katelyn. Vylad after Katelyn then Aphmau. After Travis took his post I took a nap until my turn.

Timeskip to Laurence's turn

How time flies by when you're asleep. It's my turn now and this meif'wa curse may not be so bad, I mean it helps me see better at night so night watch is easier for me know than ever. I hope when Vylad has his turn to watch he is okay. Wait what was that I just saw? In a nearby shrub I saw something moving now what is it? I go over to the shrub to inspect it and I draw my sword. What could this be? As I get closer I can now make out what it is and it appears to be a little puppy. Aww how cute. I take out my golden lasso and take it bake to camp. I take the puppy out and the little one seems a little shaken up so I give him or her some food and water to help calm him down. I think it's time I wake up Katelyn for her turn. So I go over to Katelyn and wake her up and she goes and takes her post.

Timeskip to morning

I wake up to the sound of the puppy's happy barks. I get up off the ground and stretch. Also being a meif'wa gives me the urge to stretch when I wake up just like cats stretch when they wake up. I go over to check on Aphmau and the puppy follows me. "Good morning Laurence, and where did you find that cute little puppy?", said Aphmau. "Oh this little one, I found him or her during my post. It seemed shaken up so I brought her back to camp.", I said. Aphmau then bent over to check weather the puppy was a boy or girl. "Well Aphmau is it a boy or a girl?", I said. "The little one here is a boy. Are you going to keep him?", she said. "Well I guess so, he seems to like me.", I said. "What are you going to name him then?", said Aphmau. "Hmm how about Shadow since when I found him he looked like a shadow and he was in a shadow.", I said. "Are you also naming him Shadow since you're well a shadow knight?", said Aphmau. I hadn't thought of that, naming my new puppy the name of something I became long ago seemed strange, but it seemed like a fitting name for him. "You know I hadn't thought of that, but the name seems to fit him.", I said. Aphmau, Shadow, and I walked to the others do we could eat breakfast. "Oh who's this little one?", said Katelyn. "Everyone I'd like to introduce you to my new puppy, Shadow, I found him last night during my post.", I said. "Why did you name him Shadow?", said Vylad. "Well I named him shadow since I found him in a shadow and the name seems to fit him.", I said. After eating breakfast and answering a few questions about Shadow we packed up camp and moved on. We walked for about a few hours until lunch and we ate some food and drank water from a stream. After lunch we walked and walked until night and we then set up camp. I checked the map Vylad had salvaged from Nahakara village to see how far we were from Phonix Drop. We were less than a quarter way through it I checked the map several times to see if there were any villages nearby. There were few, but not many. I figured we could find faster transport there and a place to stay. We set up camp again and ate dinner. We were running a little short on food supplies so I hope we could find a village soon. I then after I was done with my post for the night went to sleep.
