last hope
I poured the hot steamy coffee in my mug before adding milk and sugar. The sweet smokey smell kissed my face good morning. It was a brief two seconds of bliss before reality sank back in. Reality's such a bitch. Brison, maveric and Stella had been gone for nearly a month and had been turned down by every pack they had gone to. They had one left, but our hopes had been fairly shattered. I seen the wolves that do come in after a shift as the other ones take their place. They creep out hesitant, not wanting to face those demons. I do not blame them. Having to watch their fellow wolves crawl in, bloodied and shaky after been ripped apart by two or three demons, who were trying to get past. And it must be so mentally agonizing for the other wolves out their with them, hearing the cries of pain and fear and not being able to do anything about it, as they can't move from their post in case one sneeks in. And also to feel so nervous knowing those screams of panic, that fall upon sympathetic, yet helpless ears, could be your screams. When they drag themselves into the house and collapse onto the mattresses and pillows, Megan and I do have waiting for them, I can feel in every heavy, heaving breath, their weak limp state and their inability to open their eyes from both fatigue and fear, that they really are hanging on by a thread.
I hate going to close the back door once the other wolves have gone out as I feel as though I am locking them in the lions den and abandoning them. This was really draining the life out of us all. Megan was the only one left who had hope beaming from her. We were all great full for her as we would have had a mental break down long ago from despair, if it had not been for her.
Brison was seeing the last pack today and once again we were nervous wrecks waiting the final call. We all knew it was a no. We just did not want to hear it. We did not want to think that we would have to live like this until the day we fall and they get in. We were fighting a whole race of creatures and we were only about 20 or 30. We needed help, but we were not going to get any.
It was then that Dylan's phone rang like a warning bell through out the house catching everyones attention. We all froze, with our eyes glued the phone, petrified. Dylan let out a long breath before picking up the phone and answering.
"Hello?" He said.
I could only hear mumbling from the phone, but Dylan's face said it all. His expression sank with hopelessness. I turned around and walked to the sofa behind me in the adjoining living room. I fell back and dropped my hands into my face. The tears started flowing and I shock heavily with each uncontrollable sob. Megan came over and wrapped her arms around me. I cuddled into her and preyed for help.

It had been an hour since the phone call and I was cleaning up a cut under Selena's eye. Usually she would hiss or flinch at the pain, but today she was blank.
"What are we going to do," I sighed to myself.
"Fight," she said effortlessly with a small shurg.
That's the spirit, was what I wish I had said, but I was so down.
"But they're like the most powerful creature out there," I said desperately.
She paused for a moment, in what I thought was defeat, but she was thinking.
"Well there not really," she answered.
I did not understand what she ment, but Megan did and with she sprung off the sofa with new found energy. She dashed into the kitchen, where Dylans phone sat on the island. She picked it up and flicked through the contacts, when she found the one she was looking for, she clicked and held it up to her ear.
" Brison?," she asked.
"Are you sitting?" shed asked.
"Well get up, coz' have I got a job for you,"

Brison's prov.
New hope spread through me. Why did I not think of this sooner. I jumped up my seat, taking th car keys off the table in this small hotel room. I tossed them over the magazine Stella was reading and they dropped down onto her lap. She snapped the magazine from infront of her face and glared at me.
"They could have hit me in the face," She hissed through grinding teeth.
" But they didn't," I said cheerfully.
She raised her eyebrows and leaned back, from surprise at my new cheerfullness. Not wanting to get into it now, I turned to Mavric, who was passed out on the bed. I ripped the cover off him and taking his leather jacket, throw it on his head.
"Get up," I ordered.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Megan is a genius," I said.
" The loud one?" He asked yawning, surprised.
He looked to Stella for an answer, who disgustedly turned her head away from him.
"I like her," She said, holding back up the magazine.
" She gave us our answer. I can't believe we didn't think of it," I said grabbing my coat and slipping it on.
"What is it," He asked again.
" Stella. How far is the nearest portal?" I asked.
She pulled her eyebrows together in though and then they loosened as her eyes widened in realization.
" 30 minutes away," She said, jumping up, taking her designer coat with her. She walked over and opened the door and stood aside, for me. I walked out of the room, soon followed by her. She left the door open, leaving it for Mavric to close. She acts as though she is a princess to everyone but me, because she knows the rules. He shut the door and hurried after us.
It took us a moment to get to out car. Mavirc opened my door and then got in the back and Stella sat her self, once again, in the drivers seat.
" Could you please tell me what is going on?" He pleaded.
Stella put her arm around the back of my head rest and looked out the back window, before reversing out, like a bat out of hell.
" It would take you this long to get it. We're going to the vampire realm to get help," She said.
Like she said, it took us half an hour to get there. We pulled off the main road and onto the small unnoticable dirt road to the portal, but only a few second down our path and we came to a hault. A stopped car, still in gear, sat in our way. I looked out my window to find this build up of traffic went on further than I could see. Stella saw it aswel.
"I'll be back in moment," She said curiously as she opened the door. She wunge her legs out elegantly and placed them on the ground.
" Oh, I wish I didn't wear my pradas," She murmmered to her self.
She stood up, cautiously walking along, until, she stopped at a yellow sports car. She flipped her hair and knocked on the window, to a young, good looking man.
They started talking, when all of a sudden, her face fell. The guy handed her a peice of paper, with what I guessed to be his number. Stella looked hypnotised and not even looking at him, she took it a stuck it in his mouth. She stummbled back to the car, not caaring where she walked. When she got in the car, she just placed her hands on her lap and looked out the window.
" What's wrong?" I asked concerned.
She turned her head slowly, her eyes watering.
" Oh Brison,"

Eleanna's prov.
It had been around half an hour since we had rang Brison, when the phone rang again. We were all shocked at how soon it was. How close were they to the vampire realm. Dylan was still sceptacle, so Megan took the phone and answered it infront of us. Hr face beaming with happiness that it was her great idea that saved us.
"Hello?" she chirpped
All I coudl hear were a few murmurs, but her said said a lot. It went from sun shine happy to completely twisted with horror. She hung up the phone and slowly took it away from her ear.
" They said no?" I asked amazed.
She did not answer me.
" Megan?" I asked sofly. still no answer.
" Megan, what news of Red and Arrow?" I asked
"Megan-"
"They're dead,"
