Lauren stared blankly into the darkness of her room, wanting nothing more than to just fall asleep and escape reality. That was nearly impossible though, because she could not fall asleep. No matter how hard she tried, all the methods, medications, and exercises in the world did little to help her. All she could do was lay in bed, feeling completely miserable. 

At that moment, her phone lit up, and so did Lauren's face the moment she read the texts from Camila. 

Camz: Heyy

Camz: I love you

Camz: So so much

Me: I love you too. So so so much

Camz: :)

Lauren smiled slightly. Every time, without fail, Camila somehow managed to lift Lauren's mood and it never ceased to amaze the older girl. Just a simple "I love you" was enough to make Lauren completely forget how angry or sad she was, just seconds before. 

Camz: How are you?

Me: Great, now that I'm talking to you lol

Camz: You're so sweet

The green-eyed girl grinned, feeling the emptiness in my chest completely dissipate. 

Me: Only to you ;)

Me: I miss you so much omg can it be tomorrow yet??

They were gonna go to get some pizza and hang out at Camila's house after school the following day, since they got out early that day. Lauren was so excited, because she absolutely loved spending time with the younger girl.She was always happiest when she was with Camila.

Camz: Soon, babe. Be patient ;)

Me: Asdfghjkl

Me: You make me so happy, Camila.

Camz: You make me so happy too, Lolo

Lauren set her phone down and buried her face into her pillow, unable to contain the huge grin on her face. Words could not describe the amount of happiness she'd felt at that moment. 

Camz: I'm really tired. I think I'm going to go to bed soon

Me: Alright. Me too

Camz: Can I call you?

Lauren sat up quickly. Camila rarely ever called her anymore, so she started feeling slightly worried, but she typed an answer quickly and sent it. 

Me: Sure

Almost immediately, the phone began vibrating and she could see that Camila was calling her. Lauren cleared her throat and hit 'answer'. 

"Hello?" 

Camila's soft, gentle voice came through the speaker. "Hey, Lauren."

"Hey, Camz. What's up?"

"I just wanted to tell you that I love you. A lot," the younger girl said, sleepiness evident in her voice. 

Lauren's smile was so wide at that point that it nearly split her face. "I love you too. More than anything. You tired, baby?"

"Yup. I'm going to bed now."

"Okay, Camz. I love you so so so much. Goodnight," I said. 

"Good night, Lolo." 

She pressed 'end call', and laid back down, feeling pure joy. "I love that girl so fucking much," she mumbled to herself as sleep took over.
