Lauren took a deep breath, pacing back and forth. "I don't know if I can do this, Mani," she said.

Normani sighed. "Laur, you'll be fine. She's gonna love it."

"Is it too early? We've been together for 2 years."

"Lauren, chill out. It's not too soon. Ally and Troy got engaged after a year. And have you forgotten that Dinah proposed to me and we weren't even dating?"

Lauren stopped pacing and turned to her best friend. "Well yeah, but-"

Normani cut her off. "No buts. You're gonna do this exactly how we planned. Got it?"

"I'm sorry. I'm just so nervous," Lauren sighed, and Normani patted her shoulder.

"Don't worry. She'll love it. I know she will."

Lauren nodded and took another deep breath. She looked at her watch. "Crap she's gonna be home soon."

Normani smiled. "Good luck, Laur. Let me know what happens, okay?"

Lauren smiled and Normani said goodbye and left.

"Fuck, how am I going to do this?" Lauren mumbled.

Her phone began ringing at that moment and she lunged for it, hitting answer. "Hello?"

Camila's voice came through, and Lauren began internally panicking again. "Hey, baby. I'm on my way home. I'll be there in about 15 minutes."

Lauren gulped. "Alright. I'll see you soon. I love you."

"I love you too," Camila answered.

Lauren smiled and hung up. "Ooohhh boy."

She sat on the couch, pullung iut the small black box.

"Fuck, Camz... I sure hope you say yes..." she whispered.

After 10 minutes, the sound of a car pulling into the driveway snapped Lauren out of her thoughts. She hopped up and ran to the window, pulling the curtain back just enough to see Camila getting out of her car.

Lauren ran to the couch and plopped down, putting the small black box back in her pocket. The fromt door opened and Camila walked in with a huge smile on her face.

"Hey, Camz, what's got you so cheery?" Lauren asked casually.

"I get to be with you," Camila said sweetly and sat down beside the green-eyed girl.

"You're with me every day though."

Camila shrugged. "I missed you. Is that so bad?"

Lauren smiled. "No, it's not. Come here."

Camila scooted closer and Lauren wrapped an arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer.

"Lauren?"

"Yeah?"

Camila looked up at Lauren with a small smile. "I love you," She whispered.

Lauren's heart melted. That was all she needed to boost her confidence.

Lauren turned to completely face Camila, and grabbed both her hands. "I love you too, Camila. I love you so fucking much. For years, I've loved you. Sure, I didn't fall in love with you the moment I saw you. It took time. But I still eventually fell. And once I fell, I fell hard. I'd do anything for you, Camz. I am so completely in love with you. Not a single word in any existing language could possibly describe how much I love you. You have my heart, Camz. I am so fucking in love with you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Lauren slowly got off the couch and onto one knee. She pulled out the box and Camila's eyes widened and she gasped. "I could have probably figured out a better way or time to ask you this, but... screw it." Lauren opened the small box to reveal an extremely expensive-looking diamond ring. "I love you, Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao. Will you marry me?"

Camila stared at Lauren, tear brimming her eyes. After 20 seconds, Lauren spoke again.

"Your silence is freaking me out, Camz..."

"Yes..." Camila whispered.

"Yes?"

"Yes. Yes, Lauren, yes!" Camila shouted and launched herself forward onto Lauren.

Lauren tumbled back as Camila peppered her face with kisses, saying "yes" between each kiss.

"Really?" Lauren asked once Camila stopped.

Camila smiled widely and a tear rolled down her cheek. "Yes, Lauren. Of course I'll marry you," she said.

Lauren burst into tears, feeling an overwhelming sense of happiness as Camila pulled her in for a hug.

"I was fucking terrified you'd say no," Lauren mumbled into Camila's shoulder.

"I would be a fucking idiot to say no, Lauren. I love you."

Lauren pulled away slightly to look into Camila's eyes. "I love you too, baby. So much."
