*XYZ College of Engineering*

A girl stands in front of the college gate. She smiles in wide curve on lips.

"My first day to college"

She sighs happily.

She remembers the send off given by her family members to the college.

Mom:: study well Ragini beta. Just as you got good marks in 10th  class and intermediate.. you should get good marks in B.tech also..!

Dad:: you should get placed in a good company..!!

Ragini smiles remembering their words.

"I will surely succeed..!!" she thinks confidently. Then she remembers again her brother's words.

Elder bro:: bend your head into books..!! don't look around the boys..!! keep up the prestige of our family..!!

Ragini comes out of her thoughts, "Monkey fellow..!!" she curses her bro.

Ragini looks at many boys and girls around the campus. So many are wearing modern cloths.

"My one and only one job here is, studying properly and getting a good job. No side tracking or concentration losing. I should be focused..!! For that, I shouldn't do friendship with any boys."

Ragini holds her hands. Then she looks at girls, few of them are roaming with boys.

Rag:: no no. If i do friendship with girls, because of them I need to talk to boys. Concentration missing.. my goal collapsing..!! No way..!! Better, I be alone..!!

Ragini says in herself and starts walking in the campus. Every other girl is in some modern dress but she is only the one who is in chudidar.

"No one will do friendship with me thinking I'm a slow traditional girl..! Haha, that's what I want..!! No friendship.. no disturbance..!!"

Ragini keeps thinking in her narrow mindedness.. and she hears some call..

"Hello blue chudidar..!! come here..!!"

Ragini makes her eyes big and looks innocently at that way.

Senior squad..!! Raging program..!

Ragini takes a gulp.

"Come on Ragini, put on an innocent look. They will leave you.." Ragini thinks and goes near them with innocent mask on her face.

It is Sanskar the main leader in the raging team.

"What papa..!! (papa-baby) just got down from red bus??" Sanskar asks her.

[red bus in sense not redbus app. In our local telugu language, village people are referred as like this. However, this is offensive.]

Ragini without hesitating says..

"No sir, came in local bus..!"

Sanskar looks at her annoyed, and he is about to say something..

They looks at a guy just entering on motor bike.. Royal enfield.

"Bro, Laksh is coming. Let's go..!!" some guy says. Ragini looks at Laksh on bike.

"who is he?" she thinks.

"Anti Raging squad leader..!! If he finds us, he will complaint to principal." Some other guy says.

Those guys leave Ragini and go away. Ragini silently walks into her classroom.

Ragini runs and sits in the 1st bench before some other girl reaches..

"The clever student's seat.. 1st  bench..!!" Ragini thinks proudly.. suddenly someone sneezes from behind.

"Dusshakun..!!" (bad omen) Ragini annoys.

Then Sanskar and his gang enters the room. Ragini makes her eyes big..

"As I expected..!! why did I sit in 1st bench?? I will run back right now..!!"

Ragini slowly escapes back... and she hides in the back bench.. she observes other girl is hiding just like her.

Rag:: why are you hiding??

That girl:: that senior sir has asked me to sing a song.. I ran away. He shouted he will catch me. I'm scared..!!

She whispers.

Rag:: ohh.. even I'm scared of him.. btw, I'm Ragini. You..??

That girl:: this is Avika.. and you..??

Rag:: Ragini..!!

Then they hear Sanskar's voice,

"Hello junior fellows. Don't ever think that anyone can escape from us. No anti raging squad can stop us..!!"

Ragini remembers their batch running away seeing Laksh and she laughs.

"Sanky, laksh is coming..!!" a guy says.

Sanskar pretends as if he has not feared..

"Yeah yeah.. we are leaving now..!! Just remember our names..!! and, don't dare to tell our names out..!!"

Sanskar and his batch leaves then Laksh comes in with his team who has not seen them.

Ragini and Avika sits properly in the bench. Ragini shocks looking that her 1st bench place is occupied by someone else.

Laksh gives his speech..

"Welcome to the xyz college dear juniors. We are the team Anti Raging. Anyone have any complaints regarding any senior who rags.. can complaint to us. These are our phone numbers and mail Ids." Laksh says and two guys will be distributing some pamphlets.

"ahh.. he is so smart.." Avika keeps looking at Laksh with her hand under her chin. Ragini once looks at her and turns eyes to Laksh.

Of course he is smart..!!

Ragini soon startles her head.

"No Ragini..!! No attractions..!! Only focus on goal..!" she bends her head to avoid looking at Laksh.

"So guys, be not afraid of anyone. Anti raging squad is always with you..!!"

Laksh says and he leaves.

Ragini then raises her head up.. she looks sadly at her 1st bench seat.

Later, in the interval time..

Ragini goes there and sits when the person in the seat goes away.

Avika is silently looking at Ragini. Ragini sees the girl who went away coming back. She gets busy in reading the book to avoid her.

That girl says..

"Excuse me, this is my place.."

Ragini:: but actually, I sat first. I needed to go back bcz...

That girl:: please, the class is going to start. Get up..

Ragini gets annoyed. But she is helpless. Ragini finally stands up and looks back. Avika is laughing slowly at her..

"Ra ra ra.. naa pakkana kurcho..!!

Come sit beside me..!!" she gestures Ragini.

Ragini sighs and leaves.

Avika:: why did you even go..? she sat for three periods. So, she is the owner of that seat..

Rag:: but, it was me who sat first..!!

Avika: who cares?

The day slowly gets completed in an different conclusion..

When, Ragini comes to face to face with Sanskar.

He is talking with his friends.

"This Laksh has given phone numbers today to juniors. Let's call him from different numbers and put him in trouble. Let's put so many spam mails. With this attack, he should leave that team lead post..!!" Sanskar smirks with his friends.

Ragini presses her palms.

"How bad..!!" she frowns.

Then, Sanskar happens to see Ragini and calls her.

"why..??!!!" Ragini puts a sad face.

Ragini goes near them again in an innocent face.

San:: you have escaped morning. Now, you can't..!!

Ragini excepts a big punishment.. but, he says..

"Say.. Liril table..!!"

Ragini takes breath.. and starts saying..

"Liril ones are liril.. (Liril*1= Liril)

Liril twos are liril liril

.....

...

Liril 10's are... Liril liril.... liril...

Ragini finally completes panting. Her tongue becomes twisted with that.

(Guys, you may try this too.. ;-p )

Sanskar and his friends are laughing as she was saying.

San:: v. Good. Now, go..!!

Ragini gets her life back and soon she rushes out.

"I will complaint about him to Laksh sir. Moreover, this anti raging team is horrible..!! they were raging me..! no one came..!!" she thinks.

By the time Ragini goes to ground.. all the local busses leaves. She gets late because of Sanskar.

"How should I go now..?? It's 2kms till I go to road to get any autos at least. And, it's too sunny..!!"

Ragini keeps her chunni on head.

She walks a bit.. and her sandal gets broke.

"Very good..!! horrible 1st day..!!" she thinks.

Just then Sanskar and his friends leave on bikes. They don't even look at Ragini. Some lecturers go away in cars. No one care her.

Ragini tries to walk leaving her slippers.. but, the road is hot for her sensitive feet..!

"Mummyy..!!" she sighs and takes out phone only to see no signal.

"why ganapati bappa..?? why..!!??" Ragini upsets.

Then she hears a bike sound.. and it's Laksh.

She looks at him once and turns away her eyes. But Laksh stops his bike beside her.

"come, I will drop you till the road." Laksh says.

Ragini:: no, it's ok. I will walk..

Ragini tries to put two steps ahead while her broken sandals dismay her.

Lak:: it's ok. Sit back. I will drop you safely.

Ragini hesitates to sit.

1st  reason, he is boy. 2nd reason, how can she trust him? 3rd  reason.. what if he kidnaps her?? ;p

Laksh understands all her insecurities just looking into her eyes.

Laksh holds his hands and sits on bike like that only.

"Super sunny afternoon, your sandals are broke, all busses are gone. No girls are left in campus to give you lift on their bike, are you going to stay here forever?" Laksh asks.

Ragini remains silent.

"If you are hesitating because I'm a boy and you are a girl.. just because I'm giving you lift doesn't make anything wrong. I'm not going to leave till you come." Laksh says.

Ragini feels he might be right and finally sits on his bike.

"God..!! 1st time sitting on stranger bike..!!" she sighs. Laksh starts it.

Ragini is looking at surroundings, 'what if he take me to other way.???"

Her eyes get scared.. while Laksh smiles looking at her from mirror.

After the short ride,

Laksh drops her on main road while Ragini takes breath.

"Now go carefully. Better be early from tomorrow before all the busses leaves..!!" Laksh says and without waiting for her thanks he goes away.

"hmm.. good boy..!' Ragini thinks.
