We took a shower and then went back to the cabin to change. Right before we left, the ranger lady came and said, "Is anybody here in cabin #2?" That was our cabin but I didn't know. Meghan didn't say anything. "We should go to the store," Meghan suggested. "It's cool. We can walk. It's kinda far, but they have ice cream." We decided to go to the store. We walked over to the pool so Meghan could ask her mom if we could go. We stayed in the parking lot. Meghan went up and talked to her mom through the fence. We couldn't see her because she was behind a car. Meghan came back with dirt on her knees and elbows and blood everywhere. "What happened?" Alex asked. "I'm ok," she said. "I tripped on the parking curb. I started crying but no one heard me, so what's the point of crying if no one notices?" "Let's take you back and wash you up." We went back to our cabin, and the ranger lady drove bye. "Uh oh," said Meghan. "We're in cabin #2, and we told her we weren't." Whatever. She just drove bye. We cleaned Meghan up. She was fine, but she had two big cuts, one on her knee and one on her elbow.
We set off once again for the store. We went and got ice cream. On the way back, we saw ranger lady drive bye and give us a weird smile.
