There was a really beautiful hot springs pool. It was warm, like a jacuzzi. It was indoors. But most importantly, it was for people 14 and up.
Christina was 14, so she could go in the pool. But I was only 13. Alex was 12, and she wanted to go in the pool, too. So we went in. We got into the pool, which felt soooo good. Then I saw her. The ranger.
She was really rude. And mean. And ugly. She came up and asked us,"How old are you?" "Fourteen," Christina replied. "Fourteen," I replied. "Fourteen," Alex replied. She looked at us strangely. "Ok," she said and she walked out the door. "How old are you really?" the other Alex asked. "Ya, how old are you?" asked Ed. "Fourteen," Christina replied. "Thirteen," I said. "Twelve," said Alex. "You look fourteen," the other Alex said to me. "And you are fourteen," he said to Christina. "But you," he said to Alex, "You look ten. No, nine. No, four." You see what I mean? The boys are nice in general, but they're really mean to Alex. I don't know why. Maybe they just know her too well.
