I got up early to watch the sunrise. Meghan's parents had brought their hammock with them, and it was so relaxing to just sit in it. I sat down, rocking,listening to my music, looking in amazement at the sky, and thought to myself ,"what a great way to start the weekend." A little bit later, Alex joined me. It was nice to have some company, just me and her talking and giggling like usual. Alex's mom called her for breakfast and invited me too. The eggs looked really good but....I can't cook so I had Cheerios instead.
When Meghan got up, Alex took us on a tour of the mountains. She could be a tour guide. I'm not kidding. She has the voice down perfectly. Later Alex's"family" (we call Ed and Alex Alex's brothers) and Meghan's family went on the moonlight trail. I love trail walking and really enjoyed it. It was beautiful but really hot.
When we got to the end of the trail, there was a water tower with a little sign in front of it that said, "Employees only beyond this point." So naturally, Ed, Albert and Alex had to take a picture standing a foot behind it. Then Meghan got that crazy look in her eye that she gets when she has an idea. "Hey Alex!" she called, "If you climb to the top of that water tower I'll give you a dollar!" "Sold!" he replied and climbed up to the top. I was worried that we would get caught, but no one saw us. I don't think Meghan ever payed him that dollar.
We were really hot and sweaty after the trail, so we went to the pool. It was just then that I remembered that it was Valentines Day.
