It was kinda scary to think I was going camping on Friday the 13. I went camping last summer on Friday June 13th and nothing happened, but it was still scary.
It took forever for my mom to pick me up from school. She said she would pick us up from school at noon, but I guess the car wasn't packed.
Right before school ended, Hope's mom can running into our classroom. "Hope, pack up we have to leave immediately. We're taking your little brother to the hospital.". And just like that, I knew that Hope wouldn't be coming camping this year.
My mom came after school to pick us up and drive us off.
We went to go pick up Christina. Christina didn't have school today. In fact, I thought my school was the only school in the world that had school today. Everyone else had a 4 day weekend, and we only had a 3 day one.
We went to Christina's house. There are four kids in my family, so we had to take two cars. In this car, my dad was driving, my brother Alex was sitting in the front, and I was sitting in the back. Christina would sit next to me.
Christina is an awesome friend. She's almost two years older than me, but we are still very close. She's so nice. I don't think I've ever heard her say anything mean about anyone.
I helped Christina carry her stuff to the car, and off we went to the desert.
