Haley's family decided to go hiking. Meghan and I wanted to go with them, so we did, and so did her dad and sisters.
We went on the moonlight trail for the second time that day. I love hiking. I'm on a track team, and I love running. And hiking is basically running in nature.
We went slower than we did this morning. But we stayed as a group.
There is a boy in Meghan and Haley's class named Coby. Coby is friends with Alex the cool. The girls think that Coby is annoying. Coby has a crush on Haley.
Haley doesn't like Coby back, though. She thinks he's annoying and weird. Last year on Valentine's Day Coby gave her flowers.
"Coby gave me flowers again this year," Haley said. She made a face. It bothered her that Coby likes her.
"When?" Meh Alex asked. "Yesterday after school," she said. "I wish he would just lay off. He knows I don't like him."
We walked for a little more and silence. Alex the cool knows that Coby is in the girls's class, so he asked them, "Do you all have crushes on Coby?" "No!" Meghan answered right away. Other NO's followed. "Common," he said. "Coby is Bæ." "He is not!" Meghan answered. Haley's little brother Jameson is 5. He knows Coby likes Haley, and that she doesn't like him back. "Haley likes Coby!" he said. "Oh! Really!" Alex the cool responded. "He gave her flowers two years in a row on Valentines Day!" her sister Emma chimed in. "She wants to marry him!" Jameson said. "I do not!" Haley said. "Coby's cool. You don't need to be embarrassed," Alex the cool said. "But I don't like him!" Haley repeated.
