Biology
(A/N) Hey everyone! So as it turns out, I am in rehab and don't technically have a computer, SO these chapters are being written in emails and then sent. I am trying to keep this story updated but I'm really falling behind- I don't know how long I can keep this up, either.Much Love,CSP~

The boys stepped off of the bus towards the school. Keith made it off first and turned around to face Lance.
"Dude- we need to check our schedules." Keith said.
"Right, right." Lance muttered, holding his phone in his mouth and slinging his backpack in front of him. He pulled out a stiff card and read from it. "Uhhh-" He started, grabbing his phone and shoving it into his pocket. "US History, Period 1?" He asked.
"Go Fish." Keith flatly replied. "Mine is before lunch."
Lance perked up. "B Lunch?"
"D" Keith frowned.
He looked over at Lance's schedule as the walked in step towards the front door. Quickly, Keith pulled Lance over by his jacket sleeve to a bench by bushes, framing the main entrance walkway. He took Lance's schedule.
"Okay, Lancey-pants"
"Don't call me that."
Keith looked up to his boyfriend and grinned. "No way- I'm keeping that one."
He looked down. "The only thing we have together is homeroom and Biology- after lunch for you and before lunch for me."
Lance looked disheartened. "So... when can we be, y'know, together?"
Keith sighed. "We'll figure it out. Until then, I need you to know that I love you."
Lance looked like he was trying to smile. "This is goodnight and not goodbye."---Luckily, their spirits lightened when they realized that their lockers, 609 and 592, were straight across the hallway of Main Hall, meaning it was chronically busy, but they were still closer than being in separate halls.
Keith closed his locker after filling it with books and picking up his binders for his first classes. He slammed Lance's locker in his face."Ha." Keith smirked.
"What?! Keith!" Lance shouted.
"Surprise- it's me."
Lance rolled his eyes. "Well at least I got my homeroom supplies." He said, swinging his backpack over his shoulder. The boys walked into their homeroom hallway side-by-side. As they neared the second room on the right, they spaced out and Keith went in first. It was a class of familiar faces, but none were super special. Keith took a seat up front and shoved his jacket in his backpack before listening to music on his phone. Lance sat in the back and, while sitting on a desk and talking, took off his jacket, revealing his "CAMP VOLTRON" t-shirt. Shit. Keith hoped that he wasn't matching his secret-idiot-boyfriend. He grabbed his phone from the desktop to warn Lance that they were twinning. Of course, her could have just put his jacket back on but-The bell rang. Keith was relieved. Lance slid off the desktop to put to put his backpack on and take a moment to watch Keith. Just before he passed through the doorway, Keith looked back. Lance stood in the empty back of the class- standing and watching. He didn't even text "goodbye".
Keith made his way to Pre-Calculus, his first class. Lance headed the opposite direction. When Lance arrived, he headed to his assigned class: Gym. He checked his phone as he entered the locker room and looked for his name on the new locker list. #72. Hmm. He walked down the rows of locker cabinets and checked on the index card for his combination. The other students arrived and Lance opened his locker door before he stripped off his shirt. It was weird how quickly his relationship fell to the test of public high school. He looked around before stripping and dressing in uniform. He made his way to the bleachers in the gym, leaning his head on his hand in boredom. Luckily, a familiar face popped up- Lance's friend, Seth. He called out and Seth smiled, making his way to the spot beside Lance. Seth was a theater nerd... a GAY theater nerd. If Lance could boast about his boyfriend to anyone- it'd be Seth. He debated whether or not he should tell him. It would be nice to to let someone know- mostly so he could boast about Kieth, but the idea made him nervous. Mostly everyone was gathered but they stopped talking and watched across the gym to see a short-statured student yelling at the gym teacher.
"I'm not changing in the staff bathroom!" they yelled.
"We're not trying to discriminate it's just... we have some concerns." The gym teacher muddled
"Concerns?! How I identify is my business- they can all fuck off!" The student stomped off to the bleachers. Hannah. Lance's friend. Every year they had this problem: Hannah looked like a girl and was born as a girl but since middle school, she learned that "she" pronouns weren't right. Then in ninth grade, Hannah announced that they were using gender neutral pronouns. Since the days of long hair, Hannah had it all cut short and started to bind their chest down. They were hoping soon to have top surgery... Not that their parents were cool with it. Lance ended up not telling his friends.
Keith was in Pre-calculus but there was no one there that he really liked or even knew. He wanted to text Lance but he ended up never actually sending anything. Keith was feeling glum all day- until he made it to Biology.---Finally, Biology came. Keith and Lance exchanged glances but ended up sitting apart. Class started with an introduction to Mr. Hale. He was the boys lacrosse coach and Biology teacher. Keith texted Lance for the entire class period, but to his disdain, Lance never checked his phone. At the end of the day, when they got in the bus, they were disappointed. Biology just made things harder.
"Just six more hours and I can drive us." Keith offered.
"Yeah" Lance shrugged. "Just six more hours."
