AN: This is a short one, but it's worth it!

As Aaron and Theo counted, John led Alex to a rotting outhouse on the side of the road. The pair crouched down behind it, far out of anyone's sight.

Alex turned to John. "Good hiding spot."

John blushed. "Thanks, Alex."

A moment passed, then John's heart stopped. Alex had creeped his arm around John's shoulder and pulled him closer to him.

"A-alex?" John stammered.

"What?" Alex said, blushing. "You looked cold!"

John smiled to himself. He certainly wasn't complaining.

Alex took a deep breath. He hoped no one was going to interrupt him this time. "John, I-"

"OH MY GOSH. IS THAT A TURTLE?" John cried, throwing Alex's arm off of him and springing up. He was right. A small turtle was crawling near a little brook about 10 feet away. John dashed over to it and carefully scooped it up. Alex laughed and followed him.

"What are you going to name him?" Alex murmured, not looking at the turtle, but at John.

"I'm going to name him Alex," John whispered, stroking the turtle's shell.

Alex chuckled. "I'm honored, but why?"

John blushed deeply. "Becausehescutejustlikeyou."

Alex froze, his heart dropping into his stomach. "What did you say?"

John took a deep breath. It was now or never. "Because he's cute, just like you."

Alex took John's face in his hands.

"What the hell, John," he said softly. "I was supposed to be the one to say I love you first."

And with that, Alex leaned in and pressed his lips gently against John's.
