Grizzly Welcomes

Before I even had a chance to react, Lacey was already leading a protest march against it.

"Andy, you can't-"

But before she could finish her sentence, Andy had already interrupted her.
"Lacey, what have I said countless times today- and every other year?"

"Yeah but-"

"What have I said?"

"That we can't change bunkmates." She mumbled angrily.

"Exactly. Now -not that it's any of your concern, Miss Lane and Mr Jones will be sharing a cabin. And that goes for everyone else too- no changing bunkmates, okay?" Everyone mumbled okay before he began talking again.

"Good, for the rest of the evening you will be getting to know- or if you already know them, bonding a little bit more- with your new bunkmate. Tomorrow morning we will assign jobs to all of you, I need everyone up and in the main hall by 7:30 sharp.

That's all for now, enjoy your night and I'll see all of you tomorrow morning." He smiled before walking out.

As everyone began waking to their assigned bunkmates, Tilly turned to me with a shocked expression.

"I still can't believe you got roomed with Parker! You are so dead!"

"What?!" I exclaimed. "What the hell do you mean I'm so dead?"

"If Parker doesn't kill you, Lacey will for going anywhere near him."

"Well it's not my fault! It's not like I wanted to room with him in the first place!"

"You wound me sunshine." A deep voice interrupted from behind us.

This is going to be him isn't it? Fudge.

"But, just to let you know, it didn't want to room with you either."

Rude.

As I turned around, my suspicions were confirmed when I saw the same muscular build that was pointed out to me earlier by Tilly, but before I had a chance to reply he spoke again.

"Bambi, how you doing?" He smirked. "Still as innocent as ways I see." He laughed when she didn't reply, her face red.

"Grizzly? What are you doing over here?" A voice called from behind us.

"Just getting to know my new partner." He smirked looking at me. "You?"

"I'm paired with Tilly."

"Who?"

"Bambi." He laughed.

"Right; well if you two will excuse us, I'd like to talk to ..."

"Ivy." I narrowed my eyes at him.

My name was literally just called out for god sakes, does he have the memory span of a fish?!

"Right, Ivy. We'll see you guys later." He announced before leaving and dragging me with him.

"Jesus, do you mind not ripping my arm off?" I complained, retrieving my arm from his vice-like grip.

"Listen. Izzy-"

"Ivy." I interrupted, rolling my eyes.

"I didn't want to room with you and you didn't want to room with me, so how about we just stay out of each other's way and maybe this can work. I'll leave you alone, and you won't squeal when I have people over past curfew or there will be serious consequences; deal?" He sneered, the previously nice demeanour gone.

For a minute, I just stared at this obnoxious asshat before deciding I had three options;
1. Agree with him and ignore this shit out of him for the rest of summer.

2. Call him out for being an asshat while also subtly agreeing with him.
                                    Or
3. Beat the living crap out of him.

Considering no.3 would not go down well; no.2 it is!

"Why don't you listen, Peter-" I swear if he doesn't get my joke, it will be such a waste. "- If you think for one second that I'm going to take orders from you then your about to shit your pants in surprise.

I don't know who your are, or what connections you have here but I really don't care. You either play nice and we be civil; interacting when need be or you be an asshole and I make your life a living hell."

Talk about empty threats, damn.

"Oh, and if you think I'm going to tolerate having your imbecile friends in the cabin then your even dumber than I thought." I finished, letting out a laugh that was anything but humorous.

"Who the hell do you think you are." He growled.

Growled?? Hmm, guess the name grizzly fits him after all.

"Your new bunkmate." I smirked, before heading back towards Tilly.

I glanced over my shoulder to see Parker stuck in the same position I left him in; wide eyed and open mouthed.

I'm not going to lie, that felt amazing; I feel like a full blown badass, although I do have that gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach that I'm going to regret that.

Oh well, what's the worst he could do? Request a new bunkmate?

Come to think of it, I really hope he does. Maybe I'll get to bunk with an actual human who doesn't have a heart of stone.

As I focused my attention back on Tilly, I could see her and- what was his name?
Alex?
Finn?
Fa- Fe- Felix!

I could see her and Felix talking and I couldn't help but notice the twinge of red that had permanently taken to her cheeks.

Ohhh, I get it.

Tilly is totally crushing on him.

"Hey guys." I interrupted, the sly smirk on my face directed at Tilly.

"Hey, I'm Felix. You must be Ivy, I didn't get a chance to introduce myself before Parker dragged you off." He laughed.

"Yeah, nice to meet you."

"Where is Parker by the way?" He asked, his face pulling into a confused frown.

"He said something about seeing a Lacey?" I lied, pretending I didn't know who the she devil was.

Rolling his eyes and sighing, he turned to Tilly with an apologetic look on his face. "I should probably go get him before he talks to her, they weren't on great terms at dinner. I'll see you later?"

"Sure, I'll meet you at the cabin." Tilly replied timidly.

"Alright." He said before turning to me. "Again, it was a pleasure."

"Bye." I said, biding him farewell.

As soon as he was out of ear shot, my head snapped towards Tilly. "What the fuck?!" I whisper shouted.

"What?" She replied, genuinely confused.

"When were you going to tell me that you had a huge crush on him!"

Her eyes widened immediately as she choked. "W-what? No, n-no I don't-"

"Oh save it, I'm not blind." I teased.

"Really, I don't-"

"Will you just admit it already? This is getting boring." When she didn't say anything, I decided to revert to fear. "Fine, I'll just call Felix back over and see what he thinks-"

"No!" She shouted then sighed. "Fine! I like him okay? Are you happy now?"

"Yes actually, I am." I smiled.

"I hate you." She mumbled.

"No you don't."

She looked at through her lashes, trying to be intimidating, before letting out a small smile. "Your right I don't."

I laughed. "So, how long have you liked him?"

"Ugh, do we have to talk about this now?" She groaned.

"How about this, you answer that one question and we'll finish this conversation another time. Deal?"

"Deal; I guess it's a little over 2 years now. So, now that we're off that topic, what happened with Parker?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, why did you lie to Felix about him talking to Lacey when she is very visibly sulking in the corner?" She stated, gesturing to the corner behind her.

Looking over her shoulder and sure enough there's Lacey. Pouting in the corner, ranting to her friends about god knows what.

"Okay Fine, I was graced with that grizzly charm you told me about." I sighed giving in.

"Oh god, what did he say?" She asked with wide, nervous eyes.

"Basically said he didn't want to room with me- Well not basically, he straight up told me- then explained that he planned on having parties and threatened me incase I ever told on him." I explain.

"Oh my god! What did you say? I would've been terrified."

"I told him to go fuck himself." I replied with a deadpanned look on my face.

"You what!"

"Chill." I laughed. "I'm just kidding. Although, I did call him dumb and said I'd make his life a living hell if he pissed me off."

"Seriously?"

"Oh Yeah."

"You are so dead." She replied. "He is so going to kill you! And your living with him which makes it x10 easier! Oh god your going to die and I won't have a friend anymore and-"

"Tilly! Chill, I'll be fine and if he tries anything I'll get him back. I'm not going to let him walk all over me just because he thinks he's the shit."

"Ivy-"

"Nope, we are done talking about that dumbass. We are going to find out where the hell our cabins are." I smiled.

As we walked to the desk near the front of the room that held all the information about our living situations for the next couple months; I couldn't help but think about Parker.

Let's just hope he doesn't kill me in my sleep.

~*~
"Holy shit! This is so unfair! How come you get the biggest cabin?!" Tilly whined from behind me.

We'd decided that since Tilly's cabin was closest, we would check hers out first.

Although it wasn't like the traditional small cabin I had pictured in my head, it wasn't completely different.

As I walked in, a sense of tranquility hit me. Whether it was the almond and cinnamon smell in the air, or the fact that the room just had an overall warm glow to it; I don't know, but what ever it was, I liked it.

I had to admit, it was pretty amazing. There was a flat screen tv hung about the stone fireplace, facing one long couch and two small arm chairs.
The kitchen was a few feet away and decorated to a black and white colour scheme; it was gleaming.
The bathroom situated at the start of the hallway leading to the bedrooms.

As we inspected the bedrooms, both were practically identical; decorated in neutral colours like brown and varied shades of nude. There was a double bed in each accompanied by two dressers and a closet.

But, while I thought Tilly's was amazing, it was nothing in comparison to mine.

As we stood in my cabin I noticed it was twice the size of Tilly's; the layout was somewhat the same only everything seemed ... bigger and more spacious.

It had two floors, three bathrooms and two bedrooms.

The walls mostly made of glass, a major difference from the traditional wooden ones we'd seen in Tilly's cabin.

In my opinion, this wasn't a cabin; it was a goddamned house and I was more than happy to live here for the rest of my life.

"Wow." Was all I could say in response to Tilly. I couldn't quite believe it myself.

What was so special about me that I got this huge thing to myself?

But then it hit me; I didn't get this place to myself, did I? No, I had to share it with Parker.

That's probably why it's so extravagant compared to the others; I guess I got lucky being paired with him after all, huh?

"Yeah, Wow! I'm so jealous; I'm coming over here everyday, okay?" Tilly turned to me with wide, excited eyes.

"Yeah sure." I laughed. "As long as you don't mind being around the dumbass that I have to share it with?"

"Right now, the only thing that could stop me from coming here, is James Franco."

"What? Why James Franco?" I wheezed, laughing at her serious expression.

"Because, James Franco is a literal god and he is the only living thing on this earth that could ask me to do anything and I'd do it without a second thought.

But, since he's not here, Parker's just going to have to deal with me practically living with you guys." She explained, although I could tell she was kidding.

I've only known her for a couple hours and even I know she doesn't have to confidence to stand up to Parker; but that's what I'm here for-

Sort of. If he doesn't kill me first.

As Tilly glances down at her watch, she lets out a heavy sigh.

"I should probably go, I need to unpack, which gonna take me an hour at least and it's already 10pm. We have to be in the canteen tomorrow morning at 7:30 so, if possible, I'd like to have a semi-decent sleep before then. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay, bye." I smiled before walking her out.

Just as she walked out, Parker walked in.

For a second, I thought he was going to say something; although I was proved wrong when he scowled and walked past me.

"Just letting you know, I haven't chosen a bedroom-" the sound of a door slamming cut me off. "Okay then. I'll take the other one."

Sighing, I walked into the unoccupied bedroom and flipped on the bed.

I'll unpack tomorrow, right now, I'm going to sleep.

A/N

I am a shitty person, I admit. I didn't intend on not updating for like a month, but a lot of things were going on in my life and I didn't have the time to acc write anything for Wattpad- when I did miraculously find time, it was at night and my writing was crappier than usual.

I'm really sorry, but hopefully everything will be back on track from here on out- updating every Wednesday and Saturday.

There is gonna be a few more uneventful chapter before all the drama starts but once it does; it's gonna be good (hopefully).

That's all for now I guess, but, don't forget to vote, comment and share!

Until then,
Byeeeeee
