Watching Avi gasp and run out set off a need in Mitch to ensure he wouldn't cause him any more pain. The wounded expression he donned broke his heart to see it, making him determined to not get involved with Avi and act on his feelings for Kevin. He couldn't let himself fall for Avi and have him fall for him and then break his heart.

"Kevin, I need to tell you something," he barely managed to get out causing the man to give him a look filled with concern.

Scott had run out after Avi and Kirstin stared at him wide-eyed as he fished a sheet out of his pocket. He cleared his throat and was about to sing when he stopped and stared at it wide-mouthed. His verse had been altered and there was an entire song written on the page.

Tears sprung to his eyes as he apologized to Kevin and told him that he began to write a song for him, considering that he had had a crush on him but he fell for Avi and he completed the song for him. A kind and excited smile found its way on to Kevin's face as he encouraged Mitch to go after Avi. Tossing the paper at him, Mitch ran out of the room, almost bumping into Scott, who smiled and moved out of the way.

Kirstin picked up the paper and skimmed through the words littering the sheet. She hadn't ever seen words of such beauty arise in such a short time and she cried in joy as she passed it to him. Surprised at her reaction, Kevin read it aloud, stunned.

Scott smiled as he comprehended the words. He didn't have Avi, at the end of the day, but Avi had someone he loved. Mitch was one hell of a lucky person and he couldn't have been happier for his best friend. His thoughts, however, came crashing down as Mitch entered the room, breathing heavily and muttering something none of them understood.

"Mitch, slow down! We can't understand a word of what you're saying!" Kevin urged him.

"I said he's gone!" Mitch cried out, wailing as Scott engulfed him in a hug and Kirstin ran out to search.
