Kevin

The gadget set on the table blared out sappy love song after sappy love song as an annoyed blonde man flicked through the stations displayed on the screen.

His eyebrows furrowed with frustration as he kept grumbling about how all the stations kept relaying love songs as if there were absolutely none other. He contemplated out loud about heading down to all of them and providing them with several songs that had absolutely no connection with love.

A sigh emanated from the other man seated on the couch a couple steps away from the grumbling guy. He had just ended a conversation with their bandmate and had proceeded to start to write the letter he had wanted to write for days but the whining annoyed him to no small extent.

"For goodness sake, Scott, cut it out!" he yelled at his friend.

"This is so annoying, Angel!" he attempted to retaliate only to be shot down again.

"Some of us are trying to concentrate on actual problems, you whiny manchild!"

"Geez, somebody's annoyed," he muttered before scratching his head, stomping up to his room and banging the door shut noisily. The gadget still lay on the table blaring away 'Call Me Maybe', which brought a smile onto the boy's face as he got up from the couch and turned it off.

"I know you're not mad at me, Scotty!" he yelled up the stairs and settled back on the couch.

He had been trying to inform the man he had a crush on for quite some time but nothing ever came his way. He was even unsure of whether the man would actually be interested in him for he had never come out or even given any indication that he was not straight. It saddened the boy very much so but he still held hope in the fact that the man had only ever had kind words for him and had treated him like a princess ever since they had met.

Running his fingers through his short hair, he sighed as he missed the feel of his long hair. He had chopped off his long locks after he overheard Kevin saying that he liked people with shorter hair but had wound up getting it all shaved off. He was waiting for the time when his hair had all grown back and he wouldn't cut it off no matter what.

Returning his attention to the love letter he had planned to write, he remembered that it hadn't gone too well. Maybe he would just have to get over his crush on Kevin.

True, his smile was so adorable, his laughter was infectious, he was so very talented and he was every bit an amazing human, but he hadn't ever reflected any interest in him. The brunette boy chastised himself when he realized he had never even indicated to the celloboxing legend that he had any affection for him more than as a close friend.

He had been dropping clues of late by being extra affectionate and laughing more around him. Scott had shot him several looks when he realized that the tenor had been acting out of sorts whenever he was around KO. He had even gone so far as to ask him several times if everything was alright, to which he had responded in the positive.

While the baritone worried about his housemate, the latter attempted to pen his thoughts into a song. His letter idea hadn't worked out and he couldn't muster enough courage to tell him in person. He had thought of texting him but had felt it was way too informal for Kevin.

He would write a song, and then ask Kevin who was known for being the resident songwriting expert to go over it and he had hoped he would get it when he saw the lyrics or when he sang it to him.

He had managed to get out a verse but was stuck. He did not want to ask Kevin to complete it, which he would have done in any other case. Scott was being extra anti-love so he couldn't ask him either. Perhaps he could ask Kirstin to help him, but she got stuck often too.

He could ask Avi. He'd be meeting him later that day anyway, so he would most probably be a help. Plus, he'd sounded quite chirpy in their text conversation earlier. A smile formed on Mitch's lips as he sang on the way to his room.

"Sometimes I wish when the phone rings

That it would be you

Saying let's hang out

Then you confess

That there's something special between us

Why don't we find out?"

He couldn't wait to finish up the song and sing it to Kevin.
