Camila's POV:

"Hothead!" Coach Boomer called and Warren turned around. "Find an exit! Get as many people out as you can!" Coach Boomer instructed to us as Ally, or is now known to be Royal Pain, shot her pacifier at the students and staff.

We quickly ran towards the back but Warren stopped us. He shot a fireball at the air duct which made the hatch pop out. Normani pushed it to the side and climbed in first. I followed behind and we quickly crawled inside with little light.

Y/N's POV:

"Thanks for the lift Ron." I said as he landed his bus safely. "Now if I'm not back in thirty minutes--"

"Come in after you, got it!" He confidently said.

"I was going to say go get help."

"Go get help, got it! Now get in there!" He said and I ran through the door, the glass shattering behind me. I heard a faint 'sorry' but I ignored it.

Camila's POV:

"Where the hell are we?" Dinah asked with an annoyed tone.

"Hey Warren, how about a torch?" Normani asked.

"Only if you want to get barbecued." He replied sarcastically. Lauren used her glow powers and crawled past me.

"Excuse me, if I may." She said as she went to the front.

"And all the reindeer loved her." Dinah sang with a laugh. Lauren was about to try to open the hatch but someone opened it for her. She got pulled out and she gasped.

"Hey, you're here!" She cheered. Everyone else got out and a pair of arms pulled me out since I was the last one. Once I saw it was Y/N, I immediately frowned.

To catch you up, I used small crush on Y/N ever since we were in first grade. Cliche right? However, once I told her what my superpower was, we immediately became best friends. As the years progressed, my small crush turned into a huge one and I never told her since she meant the world to me. Apparently to everyone else it was obvious but to her, she didn't have a clue.

On our first day this year she met the school's sunshine, Ally Brooke Hernandez, and suddenly had this huge crush on her. At first, Ally never bothered to talk or spare a glance to her. Then one day, Y/N triggered her super strength and Ally started talking to her more.

Then two days ago, I went to stop by Y/N's house to see what she was doing but she threw a party without me knowing about it. I went to see for myself and not take it too personal but instead, Ally came over to talk to me. Let's just say, it wasn't a nice talk.

She basically told me Y/N knew about my crush but wasn't interested at all and was basically ignoring me on purpose. She was taking Ally to homecoming, didn't bother inviting me to her party, and basically embarrassed her and myself. So I told her to tell Y/N I never want to see or hear from her again.

"Guys, you're never going to believe this. Ally--"

"is Royal Pain's daughter." I interrupted.

"Yeah, and she--"

"stole the Pacifier." Warren cut in as well.

"Right."

"Yeah. And she turned everybody into babies, including your parents." Dinah added and Y/N's eyes widened.

"Okay...that I didn't know."

"I think this is even more the great Y/N Stronghold can handle." I retorted.

"She's right. It's gonna take all of us." Y/N said and Lauren rolled her eyes.

"All of who, You and Warren? The rest of us are only sidekicks." She pointed out.

"Just because you have powers doesn't make you a hero." Y/N said and looked at me. "Sometimes it just makes you a jerk. Makes me a jerk. I guess what I'm trying to say is--"

"We get it. You've been a jerk." I interrupted with a small smile.

"Camila, in case my Homecoming date ends up killing me tonight," She started to say as she reached to grab my hand. "I just want you to know that--"

I pulled her close to me and crashed my lips into hers. I felt relieved but mostly the happiest girl alive now that I know that she likes me back. It took eight god damn years and I wasn't gonna wait any longer.

"Isn't that sweet?" We pulled away and saw Penny, Speed, and Lash standing on the stairs with smirks on their faces. "I hate sweet."

"You guys are a part of this, too? Why am I not surprised?" Y/N scoffed. Lauren and Normani backed away and crawled back inside the air duct.

"Go take care of Ally. We'll handle these clowns." Warren said, taking off his blazer and tossing it to the side. Y/N looked at me, still holding my hand with a worried look.

I nodded. "Go."

She let go and ran towards the wall, smashing right through it. Warren ignited his fireballs and Speed ran past him. Warren went after him and Penny made her multiple copies. They flipped towards me but I quickly ran down the hallway.

I pushed the cafeteria doors open and looked behind me. The multiple Penny's were still flipping towards me and I slowly backed away. They all stopped but crossed their arms with a bored expression.

"Come on, sidekick. Aren't you going to fight back?" Two of them asked.

"I-I don't believe in using my powers for violence."

"I don't believe you even have any powers." They replied and I started backing away quicker. "Go Penny! Beat Camila!" They chanted as some of them flipped on the tables.

Y/N's POV:

I heard Ally's conversation with my Dad as she was telling how her plan that she worked on for years was finally working. She teased on how he couldn't understand a word she said since he was a baby.

"But I understand." I said which made Ally turn around. "Look, I'm sorry that my parents destroyed your mom. Now put my Dad down." I said sternly.

"No one could defeat Royal Pain. When the Pacifier exploded, I wasn't destroyed." She handed my Dad to Stitches. "I was merely turned into a baby. Stitches took me away and raised me as his daughter."

"Daddy's little girl." He smirked and started cackling.

"I told you to never call me that!" Ally yelled and Stitches immediately became quiet. "Lunatic!"

She looked at me again with a smirk. "That's right. Royal Pain wasn't my mother. Royal Pain is me!"

"Oh my god," I looked away dramatically. "I made out with an old lady."

She stopped smirking and immediately glared. Her mask covered her face and turned on her rocket boots. She flew towards me and tackled me into the school. My back hit various walls until she dropped me on the wooden floor. I looked around and realized we were in the gym where the dance was held.

I looked up and saw she was about to hit me but I jumped up and tackled her to the floor. She attempted to swing her arm but I grabbed ahold of it tossed her on the table. She groaned in pain but I grabbed her legs and swung her on the table next to another one back and forth like a ragged doll. I threw her towards the signs where it read 'Royal Pain' and she landed on the balloons, making statics of electricity pop out.

I had my fist up and ran towards her but she stood up immediately, getting a good swing on my jaw. I ended up crashing into the sign and got hit with a jolt of electricity.

She walked towards me and I stood up immediately. I attempted to kick her side but she grabbed my leg and arm then tossed me against the podium.

Camila's POV:

I dodged Penny's flips, trying my best not to punch her at all and she had her arms on her hips, walking towards me. My head jerked to the right and immediately I was pissed, despite the pain rushing to my cheek.

"Hm." She innocently smiled.

"Big mistake." I said and she dropped her smile. She slowly backed away from me but I rose my arms. The wind blew against my hair and I aimed my hands at Penny. Vines immediately wrapped around the various Penny's, making them all scream.

"But I thought you were a sidekick!" She yelled.

"I am a sidekick." I smirked. I started to walk away but she yelled something that made my eyes widen.

"Don't leave us here to die! Royal Pain sabotaged the anti gravity device! The whole school's going to fall out of the sky! We only have ten minutes!" She yelled and I immediately went to find everyone else.

Y/N's POV:

Ally grabbed me by my jacket and tossed me to the floor. I rolled across but stopped myself since she came flying towards me again. I laid on my back and kicked her up, making her head stick into the disco ball.

She stuck there for a bit but shattered the ball. She landed on her back and raise my fist, about to smash her mask.

"Y/N!" I looked up and saw Camila and Warren run inside with worried looks. Immediately I was punched by Ally which sent me crashing to the window outside and falling from the sky.

Camila's POV:

"No!" I scream and Ally chuckled.

"And there goes your last chance of stopping me." She said and I clenched my fists.

"We'll see about that." I glared and was about to run towards her but Warren held me back. I saw Y/N fly up from where she fell and she was smirking. I started to smile and Ally turned around which made her gasp seeing Y/N alive.

"Surprised? So am I." Y/N laughs.

"You're flying?" Ally asks and Y/N flew towards her. "That's impossible!" She picked Ally up then threw her towards the ground. Ally landed on her back, breaking the wooden planks and Y/N landed next to her. She punched her mask, making it shatter to pieces, with Ally's suit shutting down.

Y/N stood up and I immediately ran to her. She pulled me in a hug and she sighed in relief. Warren patted Y/N's shoulder with a smile on his face.

Suddenly, the gravity that held the school shut off and we all fell to the floor. Y/N looked around in confusion.

"The school's falling!" I yell and Y/N nodded. She ran towards the window and flew outside.

Y/N's POV:

I flew under the school and tried using my super strength to lift it back up. I looked down and saw we were falling thousands of feet down and that the houses were getting closer and closer. I leaned my face against the platform, grunting at how heavy it was.

I lost my grip on the platform and my body laid flat against it. I was hoping to god that Normani was figuring out how to turn off Ally's machine.

As if on cue, I felt the school become lighter and I tried lifting the school again. We were about to crush a house where a couple was terrified to death, seeing the school almost kill them. Once I lifted it a bit higher, I sighed in relief.

"Woah. That could have been messy." I joke nervously and the couple slowly stood up. "Well, good night." I flew up while lifting the school and carried it back to where it was.

~Later~

"Mom? Dad? Guys?" Both of my parents looked up. My mom was cleaning my Dad's suit and they looked at me with concerned looks. "I just want to say sorry because this whole thing was my fault."

"Y/N, you can't blame yourself." My Mom put her hand on my shoulder.

"Of course not. How were you supposed to know that your girlfriend was a complete and total psychopath who tricked us into thinking she was this innocent sunshine girl?" My Dad chuckled.

"No, that's not it. You gave me one rule and I broke it. I took her into the sanctum and that's how she got the pacifier. The whole party was a trap." I said.

"And so was the Homecoming. We all fell into Royal Pain's trap, but you defeated her. You saved Sky High and everyone in her." He replied. Camila came from behind me and grabbed my hand.

"But I didn't do it by myself." I smiled while looking at her.

"Excuse me. Y/M/N? Y/D/N? Even if it seems Ally only came up with this award as a way to lure you to the dance and your ultimate doom, still it's inscribed, so--" My teacher was about to hand my mom the award but my Dad grabbed it.

"I'd be honored to accept this Hero of the Year award. But this doesn't belong to us." He said and turned to the rest of our friends, including Ron. I nudged Camila to go over there but she dragged me along.

"It belongs to them. The sidekicks--I mean hero support." My mom corrected herself but my Dad shook his head.

"Why don't we just call them what they really are, Y/M/N? Heroes." He said and our friends did the cliche 'putting their hands on the trophy and see whoever puts it on top'. Normani ended up being the top but she used her finger to tap it. My Dad handed her the award and turned to our teacher.

"Whatever you're teaching them, keep teaching them it." He said then shook his hand. My mom kissed his cheek and wrapped her arm around my Dad's arm. The two walked away and my teacher adjusted his tie with a huge grin.

Eventually we all went back in the gym and the students gathered by the stage. Camila held my hand the entire time but honestly I wasn't complaining.

"I have de-Pacified all the babies and destroyed that horrible weapon forever." Everyone started cheering and my other teacher held up a remote. "Let's boogie!"

The music blared through the speakers and the rest of our friends started dancing with smiles on their faces. Camila tried dragging me to the dance floor but I stood my ground.

"Come dance with me please." She whined but I shook my head. She frowned but I pulled her to the shattered window.

"I have a better idea." I said and she tilted her head in confusion. I grabbed her other hand and I made the both of us fly up. I flew us outside and Camila wrapped her arms around my neck. "Better?"

"Much better." She giggled. She pulled me in a kiss and I wrapped my arms around her waist. I spun us around slowly in place and I heard cheers and teases from our friends.

It's weird how my girlfriend became my archenemy, my archenemy became my best friend, and my best friend became my girlfriend. Well, that's High School for you.
