Looking for a Suitor
╚════════════════════╝

Y/n's POV:

"Davy!" I attempt to yell but it was extremely difficult since I couldn't stop shivering from the harsh ice-cold wind that blew at my face.

I trek through the snow and rub my arms in hopes for some warmth to radiate. "Davy, where are you?"

I look over the gap and hear a familiar chirp come from below, seeing a pile of snow on top of Davy's wing.

"Davy." I sigh in relief and start to climb down the gap, ignoring the small pricks of pain as soon as my hand met the ice.

I jump down the rest of the way and quickly push aside the snow off of Davy's wing. "You okay, buddy?"He ruffles his feathers and I pull him close to my chest as I look around us. "Let's find a way out of here."

Suddenly, I feel the ice below us begin to crack underneath which causes my eyes to widen.

Oh no.

Before I knew it, the ice cracks and instantly I'm sliding down the snow hill at a fast rate which made it impossible for me to try to slow down.

"Ah!" The momentum of going down the hill sends me rolling off the edge until I harshly slam on the pile of snow.

Davy shivers under my vest but I didn't have enough energy to continue.

My eyes began to feel heavier and heavier, forcing me to submit to the darkness and I felt the last bit of my life begin to slip away.

That is until I feel something slide underneath and carry me off of the snow.

Camila's POV:

"Your Highness, Sultan, in honesty and sincerity..." Imam spoke, standing in front of Jafar and I since he was the officiate for our 'wedding' in the courtyard. "do you accept Princess Karla Camila--"

"Yes." Jafar holds up a hand to him, never taking his eyes away from mine. "Yes, I accept...Princess."

My eyes trail to the lamp hooked on his belt before looking up with a glare.

"Princess Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao," I glance to Imam. "do you accept the sultan to be your husband?"

I nervously look to Elena and she wore a saddened expression, looking down to the chains in her hands that Alana held her with as she stood behind her.

However, from a distance, I could see a familiar figure flying on a carpet heading towards us and I felt my heart leap at the sight.

She survived.

"Come on, woman!" Jafar snapped, causing my attention to turn to him.

"Karla, don't do this." My father pleaded but Jafar's guards held him down.

"I..." I trail as I take a step closer to Jafar and he does the same.

He uses his finger to lift my chin, forcing me to look up to him. "Yes?" He taunted

"I..." I clear my throat, discreetly reaching over to the lamp. "do not!" I glare and yank the lamp away from him.

"The lamp! The lamp!" Iago squawked as I climbed on top of the bench.

"Stop her!" Jafar yelled but I look for Y/n and see she was inching close by.

"No, Camila! No!"

I ignore my father's cries and jump off the stone railing, instantly falling on top of the fabric as well as a hand latching onto my wrist.

"Never in my life," Y/n shouted as she helped me sit properly as we flew away from the castle. "would I ever imagine seeing you jump again by yourself!"

"Neither did I!" I laughed.

She momentarily glances at me before looking forward. "Are you okay? Where's Alana?"

"I'm okay but--"

A loud dark screech comes from behind which causes us to turn, seeing Iago's parrot was changed into a very large bird-like creature and the person sitting on top was Alana with an angered expression.

"Oh shit!" Y/n yelled and quickly faced forward. "Hold on!"

We dive forward to the market, speeding through the crowd until we bumped into a table filled with gold vases and the impact causes me to let go of the lamp.

"The lamp!" I exclaimed as I clutch onto Y/n's arm.

"Davy, go!" She orders and immediately Davy flies off towards the knocked down table.

She steers the carpet through a different route as Iago followed behind, hopefully giving Davy enough time to look for the lamp.

She flies us up on an unfinished building and dives forward to an arc. We easily fly underneath but Iago crashes into the architecture.

We fly near the market place once more but see Davy trying to flap his wings as fast as he could away from Iago and dodge the arrows that Alana fired.

Y/n's POV:

"Carpet, get me up there!" I shouted, gesturing to Iago and Alana.

Carpet zooms upward and launches me up and I land on top of Iago as well.

I rip the string from the bow in Alana's hand and toss it aside, causing her crimson eyes to glow brighter with an angered expression.

She tries to wrestle me off of Iago but I held on to her wrists. "Alana, stop! This isn't you!"

"I serve Jafar!" She hissed. "He is the true and powerful sultan!"

Instantly Iago shrinks to his normal size under us which causes Alana and I to fall dozens of feet from the sky.

Luckily Camila steers Carpet to catch us on time but Alana accidentally tumbled off, but I catch her arm before she could fall to the ground.

With a horrified expression, her eyes returned back to brown. "What the hell!" She exclaimed as she frantically looked around, seeing that she was practically hanging off of the carpet and tightly clung on to the fabric. "Why am I close to dying?"

Davy dives into Camila's chest and drops the lamp on her lamp. "Good boy, Davy!"

The celebration is cut short when the skies begin to darken and cracks of thunder begin to echo in the sky.

The wind begins to pick up stronger than before, making it harder to control Carpet on where to go since the wind shaped into a vortex trying to suck us in.

Once we turn to a building, carpet tries to cling on the sides but the tornado pulls us back as if we were in a game of tug-o-war.

"The lamp!" Camila exclaimed as she tried to hold the sides of the building, watching as the lamp fell out of our reach but Iago snatches it before it could hit the ground.

We spin around a couple of times but Carpet uses its tassels to cling on the unfinished building.

"Y/n, I'm slipping!" Alana called out and I look down, seeing her hand move bit by bit off the fabric. "I-I don't know how long I can hold on!"

The sound of carpet's layers ripping causes my eyes to widen and the next thing I knew, carpet's fabric tears off and we're being forced in the vortex as it pulls us back to the palace with screams escaping from our lips.

"Carpet!"

Once we arrive in the courtyard, we harshly land on the ground and I roll next to Camila.

"Karla..." I hear the sultan's tone laced with worry.

I lift my head from the ground in time to see Iago drop the lamp into Jafar's hands. "Punish them. Punish them." He squawked. "Genie should witness."

I help Camila up from the ground and Alana pushes herself up with a glare towards Jafar as he rubbed the lamp, forcing Genie to come out who had a concerned expression.

"As the old man said, you should've left Agrabah when you had the chance." Jafar taunted

Jafar aims his hands towards Elena and the sultan, levitating them from the ground which causes Camila's eyes to widen as she starts to levitate as well in slow motion.

Alana unsheathed her sword, tearing her eyes away from Elena. "Let her go!" She growled and starts to sprint over to him but Jafar rose his hand up, causing her to drop her weapon and lift her from the ground in slow motion.

Davy screeches and tries to fly towards him but Jafar holds his hand up, forcing Davy in slow motion as well.

"No..." I worriedly look to Camila and her eyes slowly turn to me.

"I told you before to think bigger." Jafar continued. "You could've been the most powerful woman in the room. But now I hold the lamp. I hold the power."

I glance at Genie but he looks down at his gold bracelets and holds them out, indicating that he couldn't do anything to stop him.

Wait a minute.

"You can't find what you're looking in that lamp, Jafar. I tried and failed, and so will you." I say and start to take small steps towards him.

"You think so, but I am sultan!" He shouted, his voice booming around us. "I am the greatest sorcerer the world has ever seen. I will create an empire that history cannot ignore." He starts to descend from the stairs of the balcony. "I can destroy cities. I can destroy kingdoms." He lifts his hand up and his scepter floats over to his hand before slamming it on the ground, forcing me to teleport and fall on my knees in front of him. "And I can destroy you."

"True," I cough, feeling my lungs slowly begin to tighten. "but who made you a sultan? Who made you a sorcerer? There will always be some thing, some man, some being, more powerful than you." I list off, ignoring the look of panic on Genie's face. "Genie gave you your power and he can take it away."

"He serves me!" Jafar shouted angrily, seeing the grip he had on his staff clench.

"For now," I emphasized. "but you'll never have more power than the genie." He scepter begins to glow with a hiss and I feel the pain travel further along my throat, causing me to let out a grunt of pain. "You said it yourself. You're either most powerful in the room or you're nothing. You'll always be second." I choked out.

"Second!" Iago squawked, earning Jafar's attention for a moment before looking back to me. "Second!"

"Second?" Jafar exclaimed, the pressure on my throat instantly releasing and I let out a gasp. "Only second? He serves me!" He walks over to the side and I glance to Genie who had a small smirk. "I will make sure no one will ever say these words again!"

"Genie!" Jafar begins to rub the lamp. "For my final wish, I wish to become the most powerful being in the universe." He says with desperation. "More powerful than you!"

"A lot of gray area in that wish, but, uh..." He tapped his fingers together before a grin appears on his face. "most powerful being in the universe coming right up!"

He begins to move his hands around, black dust emerging from the shadows which causes Jafar to maniacally laugh as it began to swirl around him.

The lamp drops to the side and to what I expected, he didn't reach down to grab it.

Gotcha.

A large figure, similar to genie but this time his colors were black and red, emerges from the smoke and reveals to be Jafar. He holds out his hands, crackles of white electricity forming into his hands which causes him to laugh once more.

"The most powerful in the universe, at last..." His voice deepened and he looks down to me with triumph. "second to no one! And I thought I had power before!" He turns to Camila who was still levitating from the floor in slow motion. "First, I'll lay waste to those fools in Cuba."

He yells as he forms a large ball of light in the palm of his hands, his figure getting larger and larger by the second. He was about to throw the ball of light until a gold cuff clamps on his arm, preventing him from throwing the ball of light as it disappeared into thin air.

The other cuff clamps onto his other wrist and he lets out a grunt. "What have you done to me?"

"I haven't done anything to you, Jafar." I answered innocently. "This was your wish, not mine." He tries to reach down but it was as if a force prevented him to do so. "A genie might have phenomenal cosmic powers..."

"But an itty-bitty living space." Genie finished for me, motioning a box with his hands. "You see, a genie without a master goes back in their lamp." He explained smugly and as if on cue, a black lamp forms on the floor.

"No! Not the lamp!" He grunted, the tip of his smoke beginning to get sucked inside. "I will not forget you, street rat! Mark my words, I will not forget what you have done to me!"

"Goodbye, Jafar!" Iago squawked and tries to fly away.

"Parrot! You're coming with me!" Jafar yelled and grabs his leg before getting completely sucked inside.

The remaining changes such as dark clouds in the skies, the colors he changed the palace that matched with his attire, and much more swallows inside as well before it completely disappears and changes back to normal.

"Couple thousand years in the Cave of Wonders ought to cool you off." Genie grabs Jafar's lamp from the ground and launches it far into the distance.

Everyone else is carefully lowered to the ground and I sigh in relief, seeing that no hard came to any of them.

"Father!" Camila calls out as she runs to his side. I wrap the sultan's arm around my shoulder and help Camila guide him to sit on the fountain.

I give a small smile to her and was about to turn to leave, but I feel a hand grab my arm. "Wait, wait." The sultan spoke weakly. "How can I ever thank you?"

I quickly shake my head. "No, no. You don't need to thank me, but I hope you accept my apology. I'm sorry to the both of you." I say and hesitantly meet Camila's eyes. "Especially you. You deserve so much."

"We all make mistakes." The sultan chuckled softly.

I turn to walk away but,

"Y/n?" Camila's voice stops me.

I turn with a small smile. "I hope you find what you're looking for. I wish I could've been the one to give you that."

I grab the lamp from the floor and see Alana rub her head with a pained expression. I offer my hand and she looks up with a smile, clasping my hand with hers as I pulled her up.

"I'm sorry for acting like a jerk," I say and she rolls her shoulder with a small crack.

"It's okay." She says and holds her hand out. "Still buds?"

I move her hand to the side and pull her in a hug, feeling her stiffen in my arms before they wrapped around me as well.

I pull away and look behind her, seeing that Davy wasn't nearby. "Where's Davy?"

"Ooh, that's a bit of a mess there, Davy." We hear Genie say which causes us both to turn, seeing that Davy had Carpet under his talons as he struggled to drag Carpet's remains to Genie. "Let me take care of that for you."

Genie swirled his hands around and Carpet begins to glow, the material beginning to stitch back together instantly before a poof of blue smoke comes out in completion.

"Carpet!" Alana cheered and quickly runs over to them with a grin.

I start to head to the exit until Genie appears in front of me as he shook his finger. "Uh-uh-uh. No, no long faces, all right?" He disappears and reappears to lean against the balcony. "I got an idea. This is your last wish."

I look over to Camila and Elena who were in the middle of a conversation, taking small glances to the Sultan every now and then.

"Royalty was the right idea, okay? We should just riff on that a little bit. All right, here's what I'm thinking." I look to Genie and see his form change into what seemed like a warrior along with my face as his head. "Stevie to the public, a warrior prince, a noble heart in a land where thieves run feral!" His voice deepened and pulls an arrow from behind him and adjusts it on the bow. "Camila!" He shoots the arrow at a random spot, causing it to disappear along with his whole form to change back to his regular form. "You like it?"

I stay silent but smile with an amused expression.

"No? Okay, all right. I hear you loud and clear. This is what you need." A scroll appears in his hands and he undoes the ribbon, causing the scroll to unwind on top of Alana's head which causes her to turn to us with a confused expression. "The governing laws of Agrabah by royal decree...here it is!"

He points to the paragraph. "Must marry a prince. Right. But you say the words and this law just kinda like, goes away." He motions to the Princess. "And you and the princess are in it together forever."

"You can just make the law disappear?" Alana questioned with an eyebrow raised.

He scoffed. "Please. Like it never existed." I smile at his remark and he starts to rub his hands together. "All right. Last wish, let's get it."

"Okay," I sighed playfully. "last wish. Genie,"

"I'm ready, hold on." He shook his hands and his form starts to get bigger.

"I wish..." I trail and see Alana's eyes widen at Genie.

"Third and final wish." Genie grinned as he wiggled his fingers.

I start to rub the lamp and it begins to glow under my hands. "I wish to set you free."

Genie's expression dropped. "What?" His golden cuffs begin to glow brightly until it falls to the ground, disappearing instantly on impact.

"Wait, oh!" His form begins to shrink into normal size until his figure changes back to when he was under disguise and looks at his hands in shock. "Wait, am I...?"

"Oh my god." Alana laughed, wiping her tears from her eyes.

"Wait, wait, wait." Genie cleared his throat. "Um. Tell-Tell me to do something."

"Get me some jams." I say seriously and stifle a laugh from escaping my lips.

"Get it yourself?" He hesitantly replied but then saw that nothing happened which earns a smile to form on both of our faces. "Get your own jams!"

His eyes begin to brim with tears and I step closer to him to pull him into a hug. I feel Alana join the hug as well which earns a chuckle from him.

"Thank you." I hear him shakily whisper. "Thank you."

"No. Thank you, Genie." We all pull away and I give a small smile. "I owe you everything."

"What are you gonna do now, Genie?" Alana nudged his side.

"I don't know...maybe travel the world? I've been stuck in a lamp for thousands of years and I want to see what's out there." Genie grinned as he looked out the city but then smirked to Alana. "But I should ask you the same thing."

Camila's POV:

"Well..." Alana trailed off and she nervously looks over to us with a shy smile. "there's this...handmaiden I sort of befriended once Y/n and I arrived here."

"Befriended? Is that what we're calling it?" Elena chuckled and Alana walks down the stairs.

"Okay, maybe more than a friend," Alana added and grabbed ahold of Elena's hands. "That I would love to have around more in my life...if she'll have me."

Elena nervously looks to my father and me, but I motion for her to go for it. She turns back to Alana. "Of course I will...but in the future, I want to adopt."

Alana quickly nods. "Two kids."

"It doesn't matter who they'll become. As long as you entertain them with stories and songs since I know that you can sing and dance, it'll be...perfect." Elena sighed happily.

Alana nods once more with a smile. "Perfect."

"Sit with me, my child." My father spoke and I quickly sit on my knees so he could look down to me. "I'm sorry."

"Father, why are you--"

"Please, let me finish." He interrupted. "I feared losing you...like I lost your mother. Even if I'm only your step-father, all I saw was my little girl, not the woman you have become. You have shown me courage and strength. You are the future of Agrabah." He slips off the sultan ring from his hand and holds it out to me. "You shall be the next sultan."

I feel my eyes brim with tears as he gives me the ring before placing a small kiss on my hand.

I stand up from my spot with a nod. "Thank you, Father."

"And as sultan, you may change the law. She's a good woman." He nods his head to the side.

My heart leaps at the revelation and I lean to kiss his forehead before I pulled away. "She is."

"Where'd she go?" Genie spoke up which causes me to look around, seeing that she and Davy were gone.

Y/n's POV:

The guards close the gold gates behind me and I start to walk through the road, remembering how I practically paraded my way to impress the Sultan and Camila.

That felt like forever ago.

Davy chirps and lands on top of my shoulders, nuzzling his head against my ear.

I shove my hands in my pockets but I feel my hand hit something metallic. I pull it out with my eyebrows furrowed until I realized it was the hair-clip from when I snuck in Camila's room the first time.

"Meet me in the courtyard beside the fountain," I point outside the balcony. "when the moon is above the minaret."

"Y/n I'm serious--"

I sneakily undo the clip that held her hair and hand her the golden pin that was attached to the clip. "To return this."

Her eyes widen slightly and I boldly tuck a couple of strands of hair behind her ear which earns a small gasp to escape her lips.

"I promise."

I smile at the memory and close my hand around the clip to save it as a memento.

"Stop, thief." A familiar voice calls out which causes me to stop in my tracks. "Your sultan commands it."

"Is that the princess?" Several voices from the crowd murmured. "She's so grown!"

Davy hops off of my shoulder and flies behind me, causing me to turn and see Camila's somewhat stern expression.

I rose an eyebrow. "Sultan?" I take a couple of steps towards her and hold up the golden hair-clip for her to see. "Does that mean I'm in trouble?"

She looks at the clip before giving a teasing smile to me. "Only because you got caught."

"And what's my punishment exactly?" I chuckle. "Cause if I remember correctly, you stole two loaves of bread."

"You know that it was an accident." She scoffed. "Actually, it was a good accident since something good came out of it."

"And what's that?"

"I helped the two children."

"Are you sure that's the only thing?" I smirked. "Didn't you meet someone in particular?"

"No. I recall running away by myself." She shrugged innocently, taking the hair-clip from my hand.

"Davy, you pecked my finger!" A voice groaned which causes Camila and me to look up. "Uh oh."

Floating above us was Alana and Elena who casually sat on Carpet with Davy flying next to them.

"Were you guys there this entire time?" I asked with an amused expression.

"It was for good reasons!" Alana shook her hand dismissively but Elena let out a giggle, nuzzling her head on Alana's arm.

"Alana," I warned which earned a groan come from her lips.

"For God's sake, just kiss already!"

I glance at Camila and see her cheeks redden from Alana's comment. She catches my stares and leans closer to me, pressing her lips against mine and I immediately lost all the air inside my lungs.

I softly kissed back as her arms snaked around my neck and I place my hands on her waist.

The cheers around us, mainly Alana since her screams were louder, cause us to pull away and Camila immediately embraced me with her cheeks flushed.

🧞‍♂️EPILOGUE🧞‍♂️

Within the next year, our wedding night came and might I say was one definitely for the books.

With the help of Genie, of course, he arranged the dancers, the music, the food, the decorations, and the firework show.

It definitely pleased the public and Camila's father.

Alana's relationship flourished with Elena and they somehow adopted a cat that now is already buddies with Leo, Davy, and Carpet.

Genie comes to visit us whenever he can but mainly is out traveling to places he dreamed of visiting.

Once Camila's father passed on the throne to her, she immediately got to work on benefiting the lives of the city of Agrabah, providing what the people needed most to improve the land.

And I was right by her side to help her through everything.

To think this all started with bumping into Camila at the market at a time of when she was looking for a suitor...and it miraculously ended up being me.
