Ray was still turning around, having flashbacks about that horrid time. He couldn't get a wink of sleep all night. Whenever his mind was about to shut down, it would spring back up and keep on reminding him.

Kayla was feeling uneasy too. She had known all her life that there was a mark on her shoulder but why was it so intriguing for Ray to check it so quietly? And more importantly, how did he know where exactly to look? Kayla went back in time in her mind to catch any moment where Ray could have seen her bare shoulder. But no, there was not a single time it had happened. Her clothing had covered all her shoulder. It was almost like Ray knew where it was without even seeing it. Kayla kept thinking about it.

Eventually she came up with the conclusion that it must one of Ray's fancy inventions which was able to detect the spot on her with ease. But the question was still there that why would he deliberately search for it.

She had known it as just a simple birthmark all her life. Completely irrelevant to her.

Kayla was up all night thinking about it.

In fact, they both couldn't sleep.

When morning came, Kayla's alarm rung which broke her mental simulation. Suddenly she was back in her room. It also "woke" Ray up.

Kayla got up from her bed and looked at the clock. It was 6:30 AM. The time she always wakes up for school. She initiates her daily mechanical list of things she must do. Completely going into auto-pilot mode.

Her parents are also up by this point and getting ready for their jobs. Natlia is preparing breakfast in the kitchen and Aaron is sitting at the dinner table quietly skimming through the daily news.

Ray hasn't come out of his room yet. He's still in trauma of what he witnessed last night. He's sitting on the edge of the bed trying to calm down.

His miniature figures are lying on the table beside him. The morning sunlight is impaling the glass windows of the room and falling directly on Ray's face. A tear is seen shining on his face as it streaks by.

Kayla is almost ready. She's checking her bag one last time to make sure everything is in order but that's when a realization hits her. She had forgotten to do her homework! With so many unusual things happening around her, she had completely forgotten about it. She glances at the clock and sees the time, 7:15 AM. She quickly opens her textbook and starts doing it. Kayla is determined to finish it in time.

The clock strikes 7:30 AM and her mother calls her for breakfast. Luckily, she had completed her homework in a record time of 15 minutes. She pat herself on the back for this mighty achievement and slips into her school shoes. Kayla quickly packs her homework into her bag and heads down for some quality breakfast.

On her way she passes by the spare bedroom and sees the door wide open.

Apparently, Ray has already gone down for breakfast. When she reaches the dinner table, she sees Ray sitting there using his Glassius. Their eyes match. Kayla instantly remembers the shock of last night. Ray instantly remembers his past.

Kayla sits down and there is a long awkward silence. The trauma of Ray is returning. Natlia asks what Ray would like in breakfast, to which he replies, "Hamlet and bread". Natlia doesn't understand what she just heard so she asks, "Do you mean omelette and bread?" Ray realizes what he just said and corrects himself.

Ray eats his breakfast in silence while everyone else around him is busy in discussing politics, school, science and the like. Finally, it's time. Ray has finished his breakfast.

"I'd like to thank you guys for having me. The food was delicious Mrs. Ryen" Ray says

"Oh it's okay. You can come by anytime you want." Natlia replies

"I'm sure you all have jobs to do, so I'll take my leave and go back home now." he smiles "It was a lot of fun."

Ray walks out the door and continues down the street, taking in the fresh air.

Kayla looks at the time and gets ready to leave as well. She picks up her lunch box and says "Bye mom, bye dad! Love you!"

"Love you too honey. Be careful!"

At this Kayla exits out the door. Natlia turns around and says to her husband, "Weird kid" which is followed by a look of approval from Aaron.

Kayla sees Ray walking slowly in the opposite direction. She wanted to run up to him and say goodbye but she couldn't seem to do so.
