There's no denying it. There is a robot in the backyard. And it's appearing out of thin air! Natlia was shocked to witness such a sight. She motioned for her husband to come over, which he did.

Now the duality of Kayla's parental units are watching a mysterious boy disembark and walk towards their daughter, uttering a few words. Kayla is still motionless. She snaps out of her absent mind and initiates a causal dialogue with the boy. Her parents are surprised to see that Kayla is entirely ignoring the giant robot in front of her and behaving friendly with the boy.

"Aaron, I think we should call for help"

Aaron is still overtaken by the sheer amount of amazement and horror. He's not able to utter any word.

"Aaron!" Natlia shouts whilst shaking her husband "Snap out of it!"

"Huh? Right of course. I'll do it" are his replying words

Meanwhile in the backyard,

"I think I might have to spend the night here"

"What do you mean spend the night?! I barely know you!"

"Geez look at the time. Do you really want to send a poor helpless boy back home at 2AM? What if I get kidnapped? What if I die? My blood will be on your hands."

"This 'poor helpless boy' needs to man up and go home. No one is interested in kidnapping your boring face"

"I.... I.... All I wanted was to spend the night......."

"Sorry, no can do. Besides my parents are in the house. You'll be caught for sure and I'll be dragged down as well!"

"Well, maybe I can sleep in your wardrobe. No one will know"

"Creep."

"Oh come on!"

"Still a no"

"It's so cold out here."

"Nope"

"Well, what is better? A frozen corpse in your backyard or a living person in your wardrobe?"

"Frozen corpse sounds better."

"I promise I'll be gone by sunrise."

"Fine. 4 hours. That's it. I want you out by 6AM"

"Thank you... Kayla"

"Yeah, don't mention it"

"Oh almost forgot!" Ray shrinks his robot and collects it.

Natlia and Aaron are flipping out in their room. A whole freaking robot just disappeared from right in front of their eyes! And the boy was now following Kayla inside.

"Aaron, do something!"

"Yes. Right away! Let me just grab my gun!"

"A gun?! Grab a bat or something you junkie!"

Natlia goes downstairs and waits for them to come inside to confront them. Her husband also follows her down.

Kayla sees her mother as soon as she opens the backdoor.

"Mom! I can explain!"

But Natlia doesn't reply. She simply yanks her daughter away from Ray and her dad steps in-between them with the bat.

"What'd you do with that robot, chump? Aaron asks with an aggressive tone.

"Qestial? Oh I just shrunk it down, here look" saying this Ray calmly pulls out the mini-robot.

"Don't play games with me! That's a toy not a robot!"

"Oh but it is a robot!"

"Enough! Why are you here?!" Aaron raises his bat.

"Relax guys. I had zero intention to crash here"

"Crash?" asks a puzzled Natlia

"Well technically, it was a crash-landing but still. I had zero intention"

"Don't lie to me, buster! There's no plane here" Aaron snarks.

"Oh there was my spaceship actually."

"I don't see anything here" replies Natlia

"Well that's because I shrunk it"

"I don't believe you"

"I know you don't so ask your daughter. She saw everything and also contributed to this." Ray says while he turns out and points at the bandage on his head.

"Did you do that?" Aaron asks

"Yes. I saw him crash-land here so I hit him in my self defence." Kayla answers.

"You mean he was planning to hurt you?!" Aaron raises his bat towards Ray.

"No! That's not what I mean! I thought it was an alien at first because I couldn't see him in all the dust and smoke. So I just knocked him out." Kayla explains

"Well there you have it folks!" Ray grins "Oh and Mrs. Kayla, I trashed your garden on the way here but at least I fixed it. Heh."

"You what?! How?!" Natlia is visibly shaken.

"Well I was able to do it with that giant robot you guys saw."

"Unbelieveable!"

"Oh by the way" Ray bows "I mean you no harm." Ray rises "So could you please put that bat away because it's scaring the living hell outta me!"

"Fine" Aaron puts away the bat.

"I'm really tired so I was wondering if you guys would let me crash here for the night."

"But you already crashed." Kayla remarks

"Very funny."

"I guess it would be immoral to make you go home at this hour."

"Exactly."

"You can sleep here. Breakfast is on us" Aaron concludes.

"You guys are the best!"

"I'll take you to the spare bedroom" Natlia says "Do you want to call home and notify your parents?"

"Yeah. I'll do that in a while with my Glassius"

"I never got your name though." Aaron says

"I'm Ray Williams, son of Trifen Williams."

"Oh. I know him" Aaron explains "I helped him find a new home a few years back."

"Well you must also know that he's always inventing new stuff."

"Yeah. That's what scientists do."

Following a few minutes, everyone is in their beds and fast asleep. Except for Ray. He is wide awake.
