three

"Well that went well." Pope sarcastically said as the three boys emerged from the building.
"So, what's the plan?" Saylor asked, turning her focus over to John B, watching the boy eye the key in his hand.
"I think I know how we're gonna find the guy who owns that boat."
"No, no, we don't know whose room that could be." Pope shook his head. "It could belong to anyone."
"I'm in."
The Maybank boy took the key from John B's hand before tossing it to Lani, causing her to catch it with ease as a smirk grew on her face.
"I'm definitely in."
Kailani held the key out to the girl beside her, causing them to share a look.
"Come on. We'll be the lookout." Kie offered, waving the key before she turned around and made her way down the dock.
"Finder's fee. Just saying." John B reminded the boy, patting his chest as he walked past.
"Hey, at least you'll only be an accomplice." Saylor wrapped her arms around his waist, causing him to send her an unamused look. "Come on, bubs."
"Man."

The teens looked at the motel in shock as the HMS slowed down, the group nearing the place.
"Well would you look at her." Kailani let out a low whistle.
"And I thought the Chateau looked bad." JJ commented.
"This place is a shit show." John B said.
"Motel or meth lab?" Kie questioned, looking over at the Pogues.
"You be the judge." Pope replied.
"Definitely Meth lab." Kailani stated.
"This doesn't look like a place where somebody with a Grady-white stays." John B said.
"No, but it definitely looks like a place where somebody with a Grady-white would get killed." Saylor replied, causing Lani to nod in agreement.
"All right here we go. This is your captain speaking. HMS Pogue comin' in for landing."
"All right. Here goes nothin'." John B sighed, making his way to the front.
"Hey." Pope called out, causing the boy to stop.
"Yeah?"
"Don't let him do anything stupid." Pope said, quickly pointing at the blonde boy.
"Oh, we will." JJ smiled.
"I'm not making promises." John B shook his head.
"Saylor, will go with them and make sure dumb and dumber doesn't do anything... you know, dumb." Kailani volunteered the girl.
"Yeah, yeah." Saylor grumbled, slowly making her way to the front of the boat, causing the Maybank boy to hold his hand out, helping the girl to step off the boat. "Why thank you kind sir."
"Uh, be careful." Kie said, handing the motel key over to John B. "I mean it."
Saylor quickly looked eyes with Kailani as she watched the two interact carefully.
"Yeah." John B cleared his throat, sending the girl a smile before quickly making his past JJ and Saylor, bumping both of their shoulders. "Let's go."
The trio marched their way up towards the motel, Saylor looking around at all the damage made from Hurricane Agatha.
"How come all these mattresses are out here?" Saylor asked.
"After a hurricane, they ditch 'em 'cause they're moldy." JJ explained, causing the girl to let out a hum.
JJ grabbed onto John B's shoulders. "Just be so careful, John B."
"God, you're so weird." John B muttered, pushing the boy off of him.
"Yeah, what was all that, Johnny boy?" Saylor asked, causing him to look back at the shorter girl.
"I don't know. Maybe she wants us to be careful." John B shrugged, causing JJ and Saylor to share a look. "What? What was that look?"
"If I remember correctly and JJ feel free to back me up, she looked you in your eyes and told you to be careful.. Not us." Saylor motioned between herself and JJ as the boy slung his arm over her shoulders, causing the Routledge boy to scoff in response.
"Maybe it's because she heard he's being threatened with exile, she's just been, like," JJ said, removing his arm from Saylor's shoulders as he started massaging John B's shoulders. "Oh! Be so careful, John B! Oh, give me that John D already."
"Really J, that's just gross." Saylor gagged, scrunching up her nose, causing the blonde boy to chuckle.
"So when are you gonna swoop on that, man?" JJ asked.
"When are you?" John B snapped, quickly glancing back at Saylor, causing the girl to lift her eyebrow as JJ hit the boy's arm. "Besides, you know the rule. No pogue-on-pogue making! And aren't you the one always hitting on her."
"Of course I'm hitting on her. She's a super-hot rich, hippie chick slumming with us." JJ explained, causing the St. James girl to roll her eyes. "Why? I can't figure it out either, but who cares, bro? I know that door's locked because I've tried it. Have you?"
"Are we here to gossip like some little girl's or find the motel room?" Saylor asked, pushing ahead of the boys.
"You need help." John B muttered, looking at the blonde boy. "Not a little help, you need a lot of help. It's like every girl who just has a heartbeat, you're like..."
"This is us." Saylor interjected, causing the duo to close their mouths as she stopped in front of the door that read 229.
"This is it." John B nodded, lightly tapping on the door, looking between the other two pogues.
"Thanks captain obvious."
"Okay." JJ knocked on the door before speaking in a high pitched voice. "Housekeeping."
That caused Saylor to let out a snort.
"Should we try it?" John B asked.
"Go for it." Saylor shrugged, causing the boy to quickly stick the key in the lock, as the girl glanced around to make sure no one was watching.
"No power. No security cameras. No one's gonna know." JJ stated as the sound of the door creaked open.
Saylor quickly followed the two in the motel room as she quietly closed the door behind her.
"Check the bag. See if there's a name on there somewhere." John B pointed the girl in a direction as JJ made his way to the side table.
"Let's see." Saylor muttered to herself, clicking the flashlight on in her hand as she began shuffling around in the duffle bag. "We have a jacket... no name on the jacket."
"Definitely over 50, he has new balances." John B declared.
"Yo, guys come here." JJ called, causing the duo to share a look before glancing at the Maybank boy as he pointed at a marked map sitting on the nightstand. "Maybe this is where they were fishing. Right there."
"That can't be, isn't that off the continental shelf." Saylor shook her head, glancing over at the Routledge boy.
"Tissues for when you get lonely..." JJ spoke in a horrible British accent as he traveled towards the bathroom. "Ooh!"
"Did you find something useful in there?" Saylor called out, looking toward the open door.
"A really awesome Dopp kit you guys won't let me steal." JJ groaned.
"Yeah, 'cause we're not stealing shit." John B stated, letting out a hum after opening a door gaining Saylor's attention.
"Find something JB?" Saylor asked.
"There's a safe in here." John B said, pushing numbers as the beeping filled the room as the St. James' girl watched him.

"Biggest pet peeve?" Kie questioned as the other three pogues sat in a circle talking as they waited for the others.
"Yeah." Pope said.
"Easy. Giving one percent to the environment." Kie answered, causing the Cruz girl to nod in agreement.
"What's wrong with that?" Pope questioned, sounding confused.
"We only have one Earth, Pope." Kie explained. "We should be giving it 100 percent, bare minimum."
"Right. That's not fiscally sound." Pope said, nodding his head before turning his attention to the other girl sitting beside him. "What about you Lani? Biggest pet peeve?"
"I would say...Cops." Kailani trailed off, watching the squad car pull onto the motel grounds.
"Cops?" Kie questioned, looking at the girl confused. "That's your biggest pet peeve."
"No. actual cops." Kailani pointed, causing the other two to quickly look.
"Shit." Kie muttered, slowly get up from her spot on the boat.
"Call them." Pope exclaimed.
"We can't. Towers are down, remember." Kailani said, quickly following the Carrera girl as she exited the boat.
"If I lose my merit scholarship, I'm gonna kill someone." Pope whispered to the duo.
The trio hide behind the knocked over motel sign, keeping a close eye on the two officers.
"Maybe they're not going up. Maybe-- Maybe they're looking for a room."
"Spoke too soon, Heyward." Kailani groaned, watching them pointing in the direction the other three went towards.
"Look, he's pointing they're going up there." Kie said, causing her to share a worried look with Lani and Pope before they turned their focus back to the cops.

"Punching shit at random. That will... definitely work." JJ nodded.
"He's right, you might want to be careful there might be an alarm after so many failed attempts." Saylor said, causing the boy to pause in his movement, quickly removing his hand from the safe.
"The code has to be around here somewhere."
"Wait a second." Saylor pulled the tucked piece of paper from under the phone that had numbers written on it, causing the girl to walk back over to the curly haired boy. "Here, try this."
The boy quickly took the paper as he squatted in front of the safe once again, punching in the numbers that were written in sloppy handwriting. Once the boy punched in the last number a green light flashed, causing the boy to look back over his shoulder at the teen girl, causing her to nod.
"Holy shit." John B breathed out, swinging the safe door open, revealing stacks of cash, a gun and an unmarked envelope, causing the boy to reach for a stack of cash.
"Who is this guy?"
"Uh... JJ?" John B called, causing the Maybank boy to hum in response as he turned to look at the duo behind him. "You're gonna want to see this."

"Come on." Kailani whispered, making a quick dash toward the window that was attached to the room that held their fellow Pogues, causing the other two to quickly follow her lead.
"Okay, do something. Do something."
"Stand back." Pope said, looking around before quickly picking up a rock.
"Okay." Kie quickly pulled the Cruz girl out of the way. "You got this."
The boy tossed the rock only for it to land not even a foot in front of them, crashing with a loud thud.
"Didn't you ever play baseball?" Kie asked the boy in disbelief. "Dude!"
"I was on the math team." Pope admitted.
"That makes so much sense." Kailani shook her head as she reached down grabbing a rock. "Move out the way. I got it."
Without hesitation the Cruz girl tossed the rock up, causing it to connect with the window.
"Varsity softball pitcher."
⳾*⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*❀⑅*⳾
"Holy shit!" JJ rushed towards the safe quickly grabbing the gun. "Dude, dude, dude."
"He grabbed the gun." Saylor gasped, quickly stepping backwards with John B.
"You grabbed the gun." John B said, quickly walking towards the blonde haired boy, trying to grab the weapon from his hands.. "Put the gun back, JJ!"
"This is a SIG Sauer." JJ informed them, excitedly holding the gun up. "This is a fucking spendy gatt, man. Just... Bop! Bop! Bop! Bop!"
"We are not stealing anything." John B snapped through his gritted teeth.
"Just take a pic of me." JJ said. "Right here."
"You want me to take a picture of you?" John B questioned the boy in disbelief. "You want to make our own incriminating evidence? Is that what you're talking about?"
"Wait guys, shh for a sec." Saylor spoke, holding her hand out towards the boys, causing them to quickly close their mouths as another tap was heard at the window, causing the girl to quickly race to the window to see the three on the ground waving their hands frantically as they lowly said 'cops'. "Shit."
"What is it?" JJ questioned as the duo looked at the girl confused.
"Cops coming our way, now!" Saylor said, causing John B to quickly run across the bed as he peeked through the blinds only to close them just as fast as the sound of knocking filled the room.
The trio began to panic as they looked around at each other, quickly trying to put everything back.
"What do we do?" Saylor quietly exclaimed looking between the two.
"The window!" John B pointed at the window. "Out the window. It's the only way out."
As the three tried to quickly and quietly climb out the window the other three quickly raced back to the HSM pogue.
"Should we peel?" Kie asked, quickly getting behind the wheel of the boat.
"You never leave a pogue behind."
"No, seriously, should we peel?" Kailani questioned, looking at the boy sitting beside her.
"Maybe." Pope said, not sounding so sure anymore.
They watched Saylor, JJ and John B stand on the very small ledge of the window.
Saylor was standing beside JJ with her foot near the edge of the roof as the boys peered into the room, watching the officers take things from the vault.
A small gush of wind blew against the girl, causing her foot to slip causing her to nearly fall from the roof, causing the Maybank boy to quickly grab her waist pulling her toward him, pressing her back against the wall, causing him to drop the gun from the sudden movement, causing it crash with a loud bang.
The duo stood still as the girl could feel the boy's warm breath creeping on her neck, causing goosebumps to grow on the girl's body, her brown eyes locking with his blue ones.
"Well that was fun." JJ sarcastically said, once the group was back out on the water. "Could have warned us sooner."
"We would have, except Pope was on the math team." Kie explained.
"You were on the math team?" John B questioned.
"The cops took everything like it was a crime scene." Pope informed the trio, disregarding the previous statement and question. "Did you guys find anything?"
"Did we find anything?" JJ repeated the Heyward boys statement, letting out a chuckle as he pulled out a stack of cash and the gun, causing Saylor to cover her face with her hands in disbelief. "No, I don't think so. Oh, yeah, we did."
"Dude, what the hell?" Kailani snapped as her eyes got bigger.
"Why would you take that from a crime scene?" Pope asked in disbelief.
"It's better than cops having it." JJ stated as Kie looked over at the quiet duo.
"You serious?" Kie asked in disbelief, looking between the two.
"How were we supposed to know he was gonna take a gun!" Saylor snapped, dropping her hands to her side.
"I'm gonna lose my merit scholarship." Pope said, freaking out.
"Hey, hey, hey. Sh, sh, sh. Sh, sh." JJ said, pressing the gun up against the Heyward boys lips. "At least you have us, right?"
"I'm living a nightmare." Pope cried as the group approached the dock, seeing it full of people.
"I wonder what happened." Kailani spoke, leading the group toward the commotion.
"Who's that?" John B asked the teen girl, sitting beside him.
"It's Scooter Grubbs. He was out during the storm." She said, filling the group in. "Check out this pic I got. Dead body."
"I'm good." Saylor muttered, shielding her eyes from the picture of the dead corpse as she looked up at the girl. "Do they know what kind of boat he had?"
"Somehow that dirtbag copped a brand-new Grady-White. Everyone's out looking for it." She explained, causing the step sisters to share a look before turning their attention back to the scene before them.
