They were preparing for war.

Ray and Wesley ran through the forest, side by side and dodging trees. They've been running nonstop for hours, trying to reach their destination which happened to be farther away than they expected. Finally, they stopped at a river, Ray being the first one to transform back into a human and jump right in. Wesley on the other hand, followed right after.

They mostly just relaxed, enjoying the slow current of the refreshing cold water, but they also drank the water too. They were there for almost a half an hour so far, they were just sitting in the water now, talking back and forth. Until Wesley heard a faint twig snap.

"Ray." Wesley whispered, interrupting Ray's rant about the wizards. Ray looked at him quizzically but Wesley only put his index finger to his lips, signaling him to be quiet. "What is it Wes?" Ray whispered as he looked around, curious.

Wesley shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, "I'm not sure, but I heard something." Ray scrunched up his eyebrows, obviously not following what Wesley was getting at.

Just then, a gun's shot echoed throughout the forest, alarming the two Reptilian humans.

Except, the bullet was aimed at them. Hitting Ray straight through the head, falling lifelessly in the water, the current taking his body with it. Wesley got out of the water, transformed quicker than he usually would and took off running in the direction of his clan.

He could hear the gunshots, he could feel them flying by him, he could tell that if he didn't make a plan then he would die, he knew he could die. Quickly, he jumped up into a tree, because of his form, he easily made it to a large branch on the top and ran to the next tree, jumping from tree to tree to his home. He was in a rush to get away, barely making it onto tree branches because of his adrenaline rush that was until he did miss the branch, nearly falling onto the ground but he grabbed onto it with his hands. Dangling there, he took a deep breath and listened carefully, he heard nothing.

He sighed in relief before hoisting himself onto the branch and continuing his journey towards his home.

"Fuck." Braylon muttered under his breath, Carter nodded his head, agreeing with his choice of words. They weren't supposed to kill any of the escaped testers. Especially the alphas. The pair walked down the river, finding the lifeless body of the reptile's floating down the slow stream. Braylon easily walked into the water, grabbing the body and dragging it towards the shore, where Carter helped him put the body away from the water. Braylon called his boss, told him the location then continued their walk in the direction of the other reptile.

Jinx was pacing, back and forth in the woods near Jade's house. She was making a plan to attack, Logan was sitting on a tree stump carelessly casting spells. Ashley was watching Jade pace, shaking her head at her best friend and leader. Finally Ashley got up and walked towards Jinx, resting her palm onto the girls shoulder, Jinx jumped and on instinct grabbed Ashley's neck, choking her. Ashley let out a small gasp, not as surprised as she should be since this isn't the first time that it happened. Jinx shook her head and let go.

"Logan, call of your wizard friends, we are going to need them." Logan just nodded his head, not saying word. A few seconds later, he casted a spell, the orange burst went through and a small dove like bird that was made from the orange dust was elegantly flying near Logan. Logan nodded his head at the bird and it took off, flying towards the Wizard's Academy.

Jinx just watched in awe, she knew he was capable of doing that but it amazed her each time he did it. She was amazed by the elegance of the bird and how beautifully created it was. Logan turned his head to Jinx and gave her a genuine smile before walking towards her. Jinx watched him curiously until Logan casted another spell and a beautiful orange rose appeared. Logan took it from the air and handed it to Jinx who was smiling wide, flattered by his actions.

"Thank you." Jinx whispered quietly. Logan just smiled once again, nodded his head then walked over to a tree stump, and sat down. He continued casting pointless spells to pass time. Jinx on the other hand, walked over to Ashley who was smirking at her. "Shut up!" Jinx whisper-yelled at her best friend, Ashley just laughed and gave Jinx a little nudge.

"At least he's cute." Ashley said before walking away and winking at Jinx who blushed.

Jade sighed as she plopped down on to her leather couch. She was stressed out to the point where she didn't know what to do. Harper, noticing her friend's actions, sat next to Jade on the couch. Trevor joining them after a while. All were in human form, sadly.

Jade finally had enough, "I'm going for a run. Care to join?" She stood up and stretched, waiting for an answer from the two on the couch. Harper gladly agreed, seeing she needed a stress reliever also. Trevor shook his head no, he knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with the two wolves, especially when they were running to get rid of their anger.

Jade smiled at Trevor, sadly before walking out the front door. She quickly transformed into her slick black wolf. Harper was also right next to her, her tan wolf standing proudly. Jade nodded towards Harper before taking off into the woods. Harper following behind.

Jade was running full speed, the trees going by as a blur as she continued to run. That was until she collided with something, or someone. Both of them fell to the ground, Jade rolling until she stood back up. She let out a low growl at the unknown wolf. The wolf was a darker grey, one that only happens when the wolf is the youngest sibling of an alpha. The grey wolf growling too. They growled at each other until they noticed each other's eyes, both were purple.

Jade instantly recognized the wolf as Wyatt.
