15: Knockin' On Heaven's Door
ETTVB 15: KNOCKIN' ON HEAVEN'S DOOR
♥♡♥
"You can take the room in the middle Fhae." Grandfather calls out escorting me to the guest room.
"You sure we're really safe here grandfather?" Kazuto asks peeping outside the mansion before turning his gaze back to us.
"Of course Kazuto!" Grandfather chuckled. "I wouldn't have lived this long if it weren't safe!"
We are currently in grandfather's mansion hidden within the city. It'a laughable that I mever knew he owns a great vast of land though I was tgs princess of the race that time. It is extravagant, elegant and beautiful.
The paintings were mostly made from acrylic and Oil set. The curtains were dark blue covering the high windows which appear to be specially tinted. I've also noticed the cameras around the edges of the room. The furnishing had the modern yet antique feeling and the walls contemplated with it. It's very similar to the house I grew up in before the day I was handed to the vampires.
"If we knew we wouldn't have a hard time to talk to you then we did not have any need to do those humiliating things."Kazuya continues complaining as he was also rubbing his glasses which I really think there's no need of using. He was referring to the auditions but there are no results yet.
"It is your first time out of that side so it's unecpected. If my wife's sister didn't separate the tribes then all vampires would know how to co-exist with humans."
"And half the human race would probably be wiped out already." Kyouta mumbles.
I felt a frozen hand hold my arm. I switch looks and it was Kyouta. "Fhae you should get some rest. It is past 11 already."
"But I feel fine." I reasoned out.
"He's right young one." Grandfather called out. "You're a full vampire yet a full human. You are special and soon enough you will realise your vast importance to thy kingdom."
I just said I feel fine but how did this issue escalated to my blood and the kingdom? This is ridiculous.
"It's not Fhae... Come on..." Kyouta gave me a small glare. Stop listening to my thoughts! "I told you to stop thinking if you want me to not listen." He bluntly replied and exchanged looks to his brothers... Well, our brothers as he accompanied me into my room tucking me under the sheets. "Now princess, go to sleep." I nodded as he started walking out of . He sounds like a father. Maybe Kyouta would be a good father someday. "I heard that." I saw him chuckle as he left my room.
Gosh I am exhausted.
I closed my eyes and tried my best to fall into sleep but I guess it is true that you won't be able to sleep when you force yourself into having one. And when I though finally I was falling into one, voices started rupturing outside.
"Should we really keep it from here?" Kazuya worriedly asks. I think they're talking about me. I hope no one would know I'm listening even Kyouta!
"Well what a lame excuse to give her grandfather... Telling her that the enemy are skhots when it's not even a word." I heard a chuckle from Kazuto.
"I still gave out a hint but just flipped the words around. Did you kids seriously want me to say that the enemy are the ghouls?" Grandfather's authoritative voice echoed outside. [A/n: I made up Skhots from Skulls and ghosts just to use as a lame excuse for Fhae. :) ] "But the difference this time is that the ghouls are not hunting for human flesh but the flesh of the vampire royal bloods all linked with the blood of the chosen Selene. If you princes think that I haven't thought of that possible scenario, that rather than Fhae being able to kill the enemy but just hide from the scaredness she would feel when she meets them then you should reconsider the physical and mental pain she would go through just to end all these crappy things occuring in our worlds."
Wa-wha-wha-whaaattt?!!!! Were they refering to me? What do they mean about me killing the enemy? I can't even hit a mosquito right! Argh!
"Grandfather" it was Kyouta's voice that resonated this time.
"Yes Kyouta?"
"I remember your wife saying that you may possible know the way to vanquish the enemy. Now that you named their true identities, how can they be killed?"
"Through the years that I have stayed here in human land, I went through all the extensive research I can possibly do and I found out the prophecy left by your other grandmother Thana."
"You mean Queen Thana Ambrogio?"
"Yes... She has the capability to forsee things in the future. A lot but not the exact details and she knew this would happen before she...."
"Before she was killed by the ghouls too? That's the real reason why she dies right? No one said anything to the public nor to us why she died but I kept reading of it and learned before mother was murdered that the ghouls had been after our lineage, specifically the thirds-of-blood only existing in the chosen maiden's. Isn't that right grandfather?" Kazuto says.
"As expected of the oldest son, you do get the curiousity in life." There was a long pause before he continued. "Yes, she was murdered by the ghouls a week before they murdered your mother which almost killed Fhae aswell. It was something the vampiric council decided as they sent me here again to look for the scroll Thanan left our."
"And what did the prophecy contained grandfather?"
"It contains..." The voices died down and there were multiple knocks on my door almost making jump off my bed.
"It's not nice to eavesdrop my dear fiancee." It was Kazuto who responded and even if a door separates them, it feels like I can see him grinning.
"I wasn't listening!" I blurted out pulling the covers to the top of my head. This is way too tiring.
December 16, 20xx
I woke up feeling the warm rays of the sun on my skin. Is this really normal when I'm a vampire already? Or is because of the thirds-of-blood they kept mentioning about? I grab my coat and wore it then headed to the balcony. The scenery here in the second floor was mesmerising. I miss my old bedroom. I can still remember the everyday scene from my room. There were a lot of roses layered and blooming in the pots at the side of the balcony and I could see the forest from that area. Even before these things occured, I could see the high walls of the vampire land from my spot and I would seldomly ask myself what could be inside of those walls.
Nine days before Christams. How would I even celebrate Christmas when these things are happening? I can still remember the things they were talking about lasst night which apparently should not be mentioned to me. Cassie hasn't reported anything to me yet. I'm starting to get a bit worried and restless.
"So you did have the interest with vampires even before." A voice echoed behind me which I had gotten used to already.
"I guess you were right Kyouta. Maybe I did already had the thoughts on what was inside the vampire land."
"And what did you find out aafter entering?" He sat on the railings looking at me. I smiled at him before turning back to the outside world sight.
"It's a beautiful place to be honest. I thought I would hate it especially remembering the times when I was filled with anger to the vampires with what happened to my mother. I guess... People's perspective changes especially with me... Learning ome of the truth about myself and then learning more about you guys in the process ultimately changed it all."
"So do you still hate the vampire clan?"
"I guess not. If I say that I still do then that means I hate myself right?" I saw him smile. "But seriously... When is the right time for me to know about all the secret you guys are keeping from me?"
"Tss... Who knnows." Silence filled the place in a copule of minutes as wwe enjoy the scenery and the nice weather then my tummy grumbles at the most embarassing time possible. "I think you need to eat."
"I think so too." I blushingly replied as we headed downstairs.
I heard the sounds of the oil and the mouth-watering flavours of food. "Good morning kids." Grandfather greeted us the second we step inside the kitchen. "Hungry?"
A giggle escaped me. "Yeah."
"Do sit down and you can eat these."
"So you won't be eating?"
"He's a full blooded vampire Fhae like Kazuya and Kazuto."
"I'm specifically a full-blooded R-clan but your brothers are mixed R-clan and U-clan. That's the difference." Grandfather Leo, who I still have the feels that it's unbelievable that he's living more than a century already. He lays the plate in front of me and Kyouta and they were omelettes and bacon.
"O-kay..."
"If you're thinking of asking me about the topic last night... I'll tell you tonight when your brothers wake up." I paused in munching on the delicious meal.
"Huh?"
"You need to know it soon enough to end it." He said looking seriously at Kyouta who simply plainly stared at his food.
"Alright." I nodded resuming to my meal then he went off to work since he had a commercial shoot and he said he'll be back around afternoon time. So I'll be stuck today with my brothers.
What great and fun thing could I possibly do? Hmm...
