ETTVB 10: Demons

It was someone I never expected to see...

"Papa?!" My voice echoed as I ran to him and hugged him tight.

I thought I heard a female voice?

"Hey sweetie! How are you?" Dad kisses my forehead and pats my back.

"I'm okay dad... Just alone when everyone's sleeping opposite of me." He chuckled with my silly answer. "And you dad? How are you? How's the other side?"

"I'm doing good but I miss my daughter's smile." It made me smile. "And the companies and the stock market has all increased with the help of the vampires so I'm personally here to thank them." My mood ligthen up. Does it mean I can go back home?

"So because the economy is boosting, does it mean you can call the engagement off?"

"NO!" I was shocked when he raised his voice before bringing it back. "I mean no sweetie. I don't want to risk it besides it is for the humans you know."

"But father... What about me? Have you not ever thought of my feelings?" Tears started swelling up in the sides of my eyes but I try my best not to let even one drop fall.

"Well your feelings are honestly irrelevant in the first place so forget arguing that kind of issue with me because this place is most suited for you." He smiled creepily.

"Irrelevant? Suited for me? I'm a human like you dad! How will I be best suited here?!" It was painful that my own father didn't care at all.

"You'll understand soon enough."

"I cannot wait for this soon dad. Make me understand! Because it is so unfair!" I couldn't help it. The tears I was holding up all fell down as I started running away from my father.

The tears never stopped flowing until I reached a forest full of pine and willow trees standing tall. I sat down and cried some more. I can't help it...

It's too painful...

Why is this happening to me?

What did I do wrong?

I was just sleeping and dreaming that day of just being at peace but why has it come to this?

"Come to me Fhae..."

I lifted my head up and no one was there.

The trees rustled and a nice breeze seemed to be what I needed to relax and calm down. I look up and snow has started to fall... That must be what was making me chilly.

"Fhae..."

A cold voice tingled in my spine. I stood up and turned around. It was almost dark but there was a light appearing from the tree branches calling out to me...

As if trying to lead me somewhere...

I started walking following the lights appearing then disappearing once I pass them. I just hope there won't be any crazy vampires on the loose tonight.

I stopped in front of a dried cherry blossom tree and it was magnificently beautiful. It was standing directly under the moon which was shining already despite the time.

I touched the trunk and my jaw dropped when there were compressing sounds in the bark and words showed up...

I looked around but nobody was there to pull this through in a far distance.

"Read it Fhae..."

It was that ominous feeling again.

A voice that has been sticking in my head for a while. I breathe deeply putting my hand on my chest and read the words but I feel like I have read it before.

And as I read the words... My mind felt pain and my voice was echoing with every word pronounced.

"The moon who sleeps for a hundred years

Dwells her soul and blood oh sweet

The moon who calls for every soul

Shall see the sun she once was bore

The lady of the moon

The queen of the king

The mother of all darkness

Hear my plead to wake up

And bring forth salvation to corrupted souls

Give me the cup of answers and sins to lament

As you chose thy being to stop the long slumber

The moon who has been chosen since the creation's leash

Heareafter answers my wish."

A heavy feeling landed on my shoulders as I stare on the tree. "What the hell?"

The ground splitted into two behind the cherry blossom and a staircase made of marble appears creating a small earthquake present. Soon enough, the whole place went dead silent putting the crickets into exception.

I started walking down the stairs and torches were lit up as soon as I reach the flooring. I held on my phone as I continued walking the small hallway. It was made from marble and it looks really old from the dust and cobwebs in the sides.

I looked behind and some snow has entered aswell.

I continued walking which seemed to be an endless hallway until I reach the big door with a rose pierced by a sword.

I touched the knob and it clicked open.

Do I go in?

Or should I head back now?

"Fhae...."

The voice crept in again.

I pushed the door and went in. It was a circular shaped marble room with the same emblem from the one in the door and a crystal chandelier with candles lit up the room and a glass coffin lay in the middle of the room with dried flowers inside.

I approached the coffin and my eyes widen seeing a beautiful lady in a white gown inside. Her skin was pale and her hair was dark brown. She was extravagantly pretty and her features seemed familiar to me... She was like a dressed up doll inside.

But one thing is for certain...

She's definitely a vampire.

But why is she here? How long has she been dead? I mean... She is dead right? But why is her deathbed not with the other vampires in their own cementery?

I looked around the coffin if it would provide a name and I didn't fail myself. By the cofdkns feet says something I have never expectex yet again living with the vampires...

Selene Ambrogio-Heathly

"We will wait until you wake up by the purest kin."

"Selene?" I read again and that's when I remember some archives I saw in the National Library. She was a special vampire who contained the thirds-of-blood making her human, vampire or both if she wishes to yet..  She died soon after giving birth and only the royal family knows of the real reason of her death.

You may be wondering how I know these things when I don't like them but it was only since father instructed me to as the heiress. I wouldn't be studying them in the first place.

"Fhae..." I gasped and squeezed my forehead.

"STOP IT!" i shouted gripping on my head tigther.

"Fhae..."

"I said stop!!!!"

The noise suddenly dispersed and I slowly raised my head to find the lady in the coffin named Selene Ambrogio-Heathly gone in her coffin but...

Standing behind me with her scarlet red eyes penetrating my whole being.

"Let me go!" I screamed again as tears swell down my cheeks but my body froze as her grip tigthened. I am scared.

Is this what dad thinks is suitable for me?!

"Let's wake up together sweetie." She said and it felt like my world crumbled as her fangs pierced me deeply.
